Abstract:
In the present paper, we document a recent record of the Bannerfish, Heniochus acuminatus, an Indo-Pacific species, in the southwest Atlantic Ocean and comment on biological aspects of the Azores Chromis, Chromis limbata, an invasive reef fish in the western Atlantic Ocean. We suggest that investigations of invasive species along the Brazilian coast can use data provided by citizen science, strengthening the non-native reef fish control strategies.

Abstract:
We document three new records of coastal fish species for the Hawaiian Islands: the Orange-lined Triggerfish Balistapus undulatus (Balistidae), the Masked Bannerfish Heniochus monoceros (Chaetodontidae), and the Spotted Sand Bass Paralabrax maculatofasciatus (Serranidae). The record of B. undulatus could be a biogeographic waif from the northern Line Islands or an aquarium fish release. Heniochus monoceros is a common ornamental species and, as it has not been observed at Johnston Atoll or the northern Line Islands, was probably an aquarium fish rel

Abstract:
The diversity of fishes on coral reefs is influenced by the evolution of feeding innovations. For instance, the evolution of an intramandibular jaw joint has aided shifts to corallivory in Chaetodon butterflyfishes following their Miocene colonization of coral reefs. Today, over half of all Chaetodon species consume coral, easily the largest concentration of corallivores in any reef fish family. In contrast with Chaetodon , other chaetodontids, including the long-jawed bannerfishes, remain less intimately associated with coral and mainly consume other invertebrate prey. Here, we test (i) if in
