Previous issue date: 2011<br>EGPA - Escola de Governo do Estado do Pará<br>Inflamação é a resposta do organismo a injúria e perigo. Apesar de a inflamação ser um mecanismo de defesa do organismo, a intensidade e/ou a persistência desta resposta pode ser maléfica para o indivíduo. Neste contexto, os produtos naturais, são importantes fontes de moléculas biologicamente ativas, e é considerado, um recurso promissor para a descoberta de novos fármacos. Baseado em estudos etnofarmacológicos, foi isolado da planta Brosimum acutifolium, popularmente conhecida como “Mururé da Terra-Firme” o flavonóide BAS1 (4’-hidroxi,7,8-(2’’,2”-dimetil-pirano)-flavana), ainda não descrito na literatura anteriormente. Diante disso, o presente trabalho caracterizou o mecanismo de ação antiinflamatória do flavonóide BAS1, em macrófagos murinos estimulados. Macrófagos foram ativados com LPS e IFN-γ. A viabilidade celular foi avaliada pelo ensaio do MTT, os níveis dos mediadores inflamatórios foram determinados por ELISA (TNF-α, PGE2, IL-10), através da reação de Griess (NO) e a expressão de proteínas por Western blot. Nossos resultados demonstraram que BAS1 apresentou efeito citotóxico apenas para altas concentrações (100 μM), inibiu a produção de NO (95%), inibiu a expressão de NOS-2, reduziu a produção de TNF-α (39%) e PGE2(57%), mas não alterou a produção de IL-10 em macrófagos ativados. Dessa forma, uma importante contribuição deste estudo, foi evidenciar o efeito farmacológico do flavonóide BAS1, bem como, fundamentar o uso da planta Brosimum acutifolium, como antiinflamatória em nossa região. Somado a isso, a produção de extrato desta planta poderia fornecer um antiinflamatório eficaz e com menor custo para a população local. O presente trabalho, também pode contribuir para a determinação de nova classe de agente antiinflamatório, baseado em flavonóides naturais, como BAS1.<br>Inflammation is the body's response to injury and danger. Even though it’s a body defensive mechanism, this response’s intensity and/ or persistency might be harmful for an individual. In such context, natural products are important sources of biologically active molecules, and they’re considered promising resources for the discovering of new drugs. Based on ethno pharmacological studies, BAS1 flavonoid (4'-hydroxy, 7, 8 - (2'', 2''-dimethyl-pyran)-flavan), which hasn’t been described by literature yet, was isolated from the Brosimum acutifolium plant, popularly known as "mururé da terra-firme." Facing this, the present study aimed at characterizing the anti-inflammatory mechanism of action of BAS1 flavonoid in stimulated murine macrophages. Macrophages were activated with LPS and IFN-γ, cell viability was evaluated by the MTT, levels of inflammatory mediators were determined by ELISA (TNF-α, PGE2, IL-10) through Griess reaction (NO) and protein expression by Western blotting. The results demonstrate that BAS1 only has cyclotoxic effects at high concentrations (100 μM) inhibited NO production (95%), negatively regulated the expression of NOS-2, reduced the TNF-α production (39%) and PGE2 (57%), but didn’t with IL-10 in activated macrophages. Thus, demonstrating the pharmacological effect of BAS1 flavonoid, as well as supporting the usage of the Brosimum acutifolium plant as an anti-inflammatory in our region was an important contribution from this study. Furthermore, the production of this plant’s extract could provide the local population with an effective and affordable anti-inflammatory. The present work may also contribute to the establishment of a new classification of anti-inflammatory agents, based on natural flavonoids, such as BAS1.

Un analyseur de spectre radiofréquence à corrélation analogique, le SWIFTS RF (Standing Wave lntegrated Fourier Transform Spectrometer), a été développé pour les besoins de la radioastronomie et de la surveillance de spectre. Cet instrument relève l'onde stationnaire du signal à analyser par un réseau de cellules d'échantillonnage disposé sur un guide d'onde terminé par un court-circuit puis utilise la transformée de Fourier pour obtenir le spectre. Ce travail a montré qu'il était possible d'être à l'état de l'art tout en utilisant une architecture plus simple. Un nombre limité de critères permettant un rendement optimal à été identifié puis utilisé pour concevoir deux générations de prototypes. Le premier fonctionne sur la bande 19GHz-25GHz. Le deuxième, est conçu pour fonctionner sur une bande allant de 300MHz à 5GHz, couvrant ainsi plus de 4 octaves. Le SWIFTS RF a enfin été validé avec des mesures sur le terrain de signaux rayonnés par une borne WiFi et un téléphone GSM<br>A spectrum analyzer based on analog correlation, the RF SWIFTS (Standing Wave lntegrated Fourier Transform Spectrometer), is designed for radio astronomy and spectrum monitoring purposes. This instrument measures the standing wave of the unknown signal thanks to an array of sampling cells placed on a shorted waveguide and uses the Fourier Transform to recover the signal spectrum. This work has shown that comparable performances can be reached with respect to state-of-the-art analog correlators but in a simpler and cheaper topology. Criteria for optimal efficiency are identified and used for two generations of prototypes. The first one is working from 19GHz to 25GHz and the second one is built to provide wide-band measurements over more than 4 octaves (300MHz¬5GHz). The RF SWIFTS is then validated with in situ measurements ofWiFi and GSM emissions

Studien har syftat till att få en förståelse för familjehemsföräldrars perspektiv på anknytning och vad de menar att det finns för svårigheter och möjligheter gällande anknytning för barn som placeras i familjehem. Studien berör även hur relationen mellan barn och familjehemsförälder förändras över tid och hur samspel mellan barn och familjehemsföräldrar, barn och de biologiska föräldrarna och barnets tidigare erfarenheter kan påverka anknytningen. Studien är kvalitativ och bygger på intervjuer med sex familjehemsföräldrar. Bowlbys anknytningsteori har använts för att analysera det empiriska materialet och studien har en hermeneutiskt ansats. Familjehemsföräldrarnas upplevelser tolkas som att barn kan skapa en trygg anknytning till dem och att de kan utgöra en trygg bas för placerade barn. Familjehemsföräldrarna menar att en trygg anknytning rör både yngre och äldre barn. Samspelet mellan familjehemsföräldrar, barn och de biologiska föräldrarna påverkar anknytningen och ibland uppstår situationer som är svåra att förhålla sig till för såväl familjehemsförälder, barn som de biologiska föräldrarna. Av familjehemsföräldrarnas resonemang framkommer att såväl barn som familjehemsförälder kan drabbas av separationsångest, vilket i sin tur påverkar anknytningens kvalitet. Barnets bakgrund och tidigare erfarenheter påverkar den anknytning som barnet skapar till sin familjehemsförälder. De uppföljningar som görs enligt socialtjänstlagen (SFS 2001:453), där socialnämnden minst var sjätte månad ska överväga om vården ska fortgå, menar familjehemsföräldrarna skapar svårigheter att knyta an till barnen fullt ut. Uppföljningarna skapar en oro för att separeras för både familjehemsföräldrar och de placerade barnen.<br>The aim of the study is to gain an understanding of foster parent's perspective on attachment and which opportunities and difficulties there is with the attachment for children in foster care. The study is also describes the way the relationship between the child and foster parent changes over time and how interaction between children and foster parents, child and the biological parents and the child's past experiences can influence the attachment. The study has a qualitative method and is based on interviews with six foster parents. Bowlby's attachment theory has been used to analyze the empirical material and the study has a hermeneutic approach. Foster parent’s experiences give us an understanding that children can create a secure attachment to them and that they can provide a safe base for the children. Foster parents believe that the secure attachment is the same for both younger and older children. The interaction between foster parents, child and the biological parent’s affects the attachment and sometimes situations arise that are difficult to relate to for foster parent, child and birth parents. It is found that children as well as the foster parents can suffer from separation anxiety, which can affect the quality of the attachment. The child’s background and past experiences affect the attachment that the child creates to the foster parent. The study also shows that the follow-ups that are induced by the Social Services Act (SFS 2001:453), every six months for the social services committee to consider whether the treatment should be continued, create difficulties for foster parents to fully attach to the child. It creates a fear of separation for both the foster parents and the children.

Le GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), et en particulier sa composante actuelle le système américain GPS et le système russe GLONASS, sont aujourd'hui utilisés pour des applications géodésiques afin d'obtenir un positionnement précis, de l'ordre du centimètre. Cela nécessite un certain nombre de traitements complexes, des équipements coûteux et éventuellement des compléments au sol des systèmes GPS et GLONASS. Ces applications sont aujourd'hui principalement réalisées en environnement " ouvert " et ne peuvent fonctionner en environnement plus contraint. L'augmentation croissante de l'utilisation du GNSS dans des domaines variés va voir émerger de nombreuses applications où le positionnement précis sera requis (par exemple des applications de transport/guidage automatique ou d'aide à la conduite nécessitant des performances importantes en terme de précision mais aussi en terme de confiance dans la position -l'intégrité- et de robustesse et disponibilité). D'autre part, l'arrivée sur le marché de récepteurs bas-coûts (inférieur à 100 euros) capables de poursuivre les signaux provenant de plusieurs constellations et d'en délivrer les mesures brutes laisse entrevoir des avancées importantes en termes de performance et de démocratisation de ces techniques de positionnement précis. Dans le cadre d'un utilisateur routier, l'un des enjeux du positionnement précis pour les années à venir est ainsi d'assurer sa disponibilité en tout terrain, c'est-à-dire dans le plus grand nombre d'environnements possibles, dont les environnements dégradés (végétation dense, environnement urbain, etc.) Dans ce contexte, l'objectif de la thèse a été d'élaborer et d'optimiser des algorithmes de positionnement précis (typiquement basés sur la poursuite de la phase de porteuse des signaux GNSS) afin de prendre en compte les contraintes liées à l'utilisation d'un récepteur bas coût et à l'environnement. En particulier, un logiciel de positionnement précis (RTK) capable de résoudre les ambiguïtés des mesures de phase GPS et GLONASS a été développé. La structure particulière des signaux GLONASS (FDMA) requiert notamment un traitement spécifiques des mesures de phase décrit dans la thèse afin de pouvoir isoler les ambiguïtés de phase en tant qu'entiers. Ce traitement est compliqué par l'utilisation de mesures provenant d'un récepteur bas coût dont les canaux GLONASS ne sont pas calibrés. L'utilisation d'une méthode de calibration des mesures de code et de phase décrite dans la thèse permet de réduire les biais affectant les différentes mesures GLONASS. Il est ainsi démontré que la résolution entière des ambiguïtés de phase GLONASS est possible avec un récepteur bas coût après calibration de celui-ci. La faible qualité des mesures, du fait de l'utilisation d'un récepteur bas coût en milieu dégradé est prise en compte dans le logiciel de positionnement précis en adoptant une pondération des mesures spécifique et des paramètres de validation de l'ambiguïté dépendant de l'environnement. Enfin, une méthode de résolution des sauts de cycle innovante est présentée dans la thèse, afin d'améliorer la continuité de l'estimation des ambiguïtés de phase. Les résultats de 2 campagnes de mesures effectuées sur le périphérique Toulousain et dans le centre-ville de Toulouse ont montré une précision de 1.5m 68% du temps et de 3.5m 95% du temps dans un environnement de type urbain. En milieu semi-urbain type périphérique, cette précision atteint 10cm 68% du temps et 75cm 95% du temps. Finalement, cette thèse démontre la faisabilité d'un système de positionnement précis bas-coût pour un utilisateur routier.

I denna uppgift kommer jag presentera resultatet av min självstudie där jag lär mig tekniken vandrande bas på elbas genom lärarledda elbaslektioner. Denna process är videoinspelad, semistrukturerad intervju har hållits och dokumentationen analyseras genom transkription. Jag kommer bearbeta begreppet kunskap och redovisa några teorier om vad kunskap är och hur man kan kategorisera detta begrepp genom antingen uppdelande av praktisk och teoretisk kunskap. Jag kommer också undersöka huruvida pragmatismens kunskapssyn är applicerbar på denna studie. Studien behandlar hur jag använt mig av mina kunskaper som klassisk gitarrist i min inlärning av elbas. Hur jag kan använda mina kunskaper funna i elbasspelet i mitt klassiska gitarrspel. Även hur de pedagogiska upptäckterna jag gör i elbasspel kan användas i min framtida roll både som elbaslärare och gitarrlärare. Detta behandlas med ett sociokulturellt perspektiv i grunden samt mästarlära. Resultatet visar att förkunskaper i klassisk gitarr är mycket användbart om man vill lära sig elbas och att flera aspekter av gitarrspelet är direkt eller indirekt överförbara till elbasen. Det kommer också visa sig att det finns flera olikheter som kan försvåra inlärandet av elbas. Jag har också hittat grundläggande kunskap i metodik för elbasspel på nybörjarstadium.<br>In this project, I will present the result of my self-study where I learn the technique of walking bass on electric bass through teacher-led electric bass lessons. This process is video-recorded, semi-structured interview has been held and the documentation is analyzed by transcription. I will process the concept of knowledge and report some theories on what knowledge is and how to categorize this concept through either the division of practical or theoretical knowledge. I will also examine whether the knowledge view of pragmatism is applicable to this study. The study deals with how I used my knowledge as a classical guitarist in my learning of electric bass. How I can use my knowledge found in the electric bass game in my classic guitar play. Even how the pedagogical discoveries I make in electric bass games can be used in my future role both as electric bass teacher and guitar teacher. This is dealt with a socio-cultural perspective in the basics and master-apprentice perspective. The result shows that prior knowledge of classical guitar is very useful if you want to learn electric bass and that several aspects of the guitar play are directly or indirectly transferable to the electric base. It will also show several differences between the instruments that can make learning electric bass more difficult. I have also found basic knowledge in methodology for electric bass games at the beginner stage.

Studiens syfte var att skriva tre låtar inom EDM-genren med fokus på arrangering och mixning av baselement inom spannet 30–260 Hz. Metod: Med hjälp av olika analystekniker begrundades tre stycken referenslåtar i genrerna Drum and Bass, Glitch Hop och Progressiv house. Utifrån analyserna av dessa utformades tre stycken arrangeringsmodeller, vilka utgjorde grunden för mina tre produktioner. En jämförelse mellan referenslåtarna och produktionerna gjordes för att belysa skillnader och likheter. För att uppnå mina ideal av ett väl mixat basregister framkom det att det är av extra stor vikt att ta hänsyn till arrangering av baselement gentemot mixning av dessa. I mixstadiet visade det sig att verktyg såsom equalizer, kompressorer, expanders, distar och gaters m.m. hade stor betydelse för basregistrets kvalitet. Diskussion/slutsats: Då låtarna är i olika genrer och tempon kan riktlinjer underlätta mixstadiet såsom att snabba tempon inte är att föredra i kombination med en bastrumma med mycket subbas. Likaså att låtar med lägre tempo kan gynnas av att använda sidechain-kompression som ett rytmiskt verktyg. Att använda dynamiska verktyg såsom expanders kan skapa luft i mixen och motverka att den blir platt. Dist kan vara en bra metod för att ge basfrekvenser attityd och framhäva dem i mixen.

La littérature accorde un intérêt soutenu à l'étude des relations entre la morphologie basi-crânienne et les dysmorphies maxillo-faciales ou les malocclusions. Le but de ce travail est double : d'abord nous voulions analyser la forme basi-crânienne et ses rapports avec les schémas maxillo-faciaux ou les malocclusions. Ensuite nous voulions analyser la morphologie maxillo-faciale et ses relations avec les malocclusions. Nous avons utilisé les données scanner de 312 patients sélectionnés comme ayant des pathologies importantes " limite chirurgicale " et analysé ces donnée par deux méthodes : les procédés de la morphométrie géométrique et une analyse maxillo-faciale spécifique élaborée à Toulouse. Nous pouvons conclure à propos des deux principales questions : * La configuration basi-crânienne n'est pas significativement corrélée avec les différents types de malocclusion, elle reste très stable et elle ne joue aucun rôle étiologique dans le développement des malocclusions. * Au contraire, des schémas maxillo-faciaux spécifiques correspondant aux différentes malocclusions peuvent être décrits avec précision<br>There is an interest in the recent literature about the relationship between cranial base configuration and facial disharmonies or malocclusions, the conclusions of which are contradictory, due to small sample size and very poor methodology to appreciate cranial base shape. The aims of this work are double, the analyze of the cranial base configuration and its relationships with maxillo-facial schemes or malocclusion and the analyze of the maxillo-facial shape and its relationships with malocclusions. 312 patients selected with great pathologies "border line surgery" were used in this study and 3D method was applied, the morphometric geometry processes and a specific 3D maxillo-facial analysis elaborated in Toulouse. The results revealed two interesting finding, the basicranial configuration is not significantly correlated with types of malocclusion, it is remarkably stable, and it does not play any etiologic role in malocclusion appearance, and on the contrary, maxillofacial specific configurations, corresponding to different types of malocclusion, can be described precisely

L'objectif de ce travail a été d'apporter une meilleure compréhension des mécanismes réactionnels de l'hydratation de ciments appartenant à la famille de ciment BCSAF afin de développer des schémas réactionnels simplifiés permettant d'optimiser les ciments à base d'un clinker BCSAF et d'autres constituants pour des applications spécifiques. Les ciments étudiés ont été réalisés à partir d'un clinker contenant 52% de belite, 33% de ye'elimite and 14% de ferrite et diverses quantités d'anhydrite et de calcaire. A partir de l'étude détaillée de l'hydratation d'un ciment contenant 95% de clinker et 5% d'anhydrite, il a été démontré que le mécanisme de l'hydratation est constitué de deux périodes successives : le début de l'hydratation est contrôlé par l'hydratation de la ye'elimite réagissant avec l'anhydrite, tandis que la suite de l'hydratation est contrôlée par les hydratations de la belite et de la ferrite qui réagissent avec certains des hydrates formés lors de la première période. La vitesse de nucléation de la strätlingite contrôle le début de l'hydratation de la belite. Le principal paramètre qui contrôle cette dernière est la concentration en sulfate de la phase aqueuse qui doit être très faible. Ainsi C-S-H n'est pas formé au début de l'hydratation de la belite parce qu'elle n'est pas saturé à cause de faible concentration de calcium et silicon et sa formation est retardé plus tard à cause de l'inhibition de sa nucléation par de trop fortes quantités d'aluminate en solution. Par conséquence, c'est indirectement la concentration en sulfate de la solution qui contrôle le début de l'hydratation de la belite and ainsi les réactions conduisant à sa réduction à travers la précipitation de phase notamment lors de l'hydratation de la ye'elimite pour former de l'ettringite. Ainsi d'une façon générale, la strätlingite commence à nucléer quand la ye'elimite a complètement réagi. D'autre part, une synergie entre les hydratations de la belite et de la ferrite permet de former des hydrogrenats et des C-S-H à des temps longs au détriment de la strätlingite formée auparavant. Un mécanisme d'hydratation similaire a été trouvé pour les ciments contenant des quantités plus importantes d'anhydrite à l'exception de ceux qui contiennent une quantité d'anhydrite supérieure que la quantité théorique permettant de faire réagir toute la ye'elimite en ettringite. Toutefois pour le premier type de ciments, une augmentation de la quantité d'anhydrite allonge à la fois le temps d'apparition de la seconde période et la durée des différentes étapes de cette dernière. Donc l'hydratation est globalement plus lente. Pour le second type de ciment, contenant de fortes quantités d'anhydrite, le mécanisme d'hydratation est assez différent car l'hydratation de la belite commence dès le début de l'hydratation et conduit à la formation, soit d'ettringite contenant Si, soit de C-S-H. L'effet de 15% de calcaire a également été étudié pour le ciment contenant 95% de clinker et 5% d'anhydrite. Les résultats ont montré que le calcaire ne change pas la première période de l'hydratation mettant en jeu principalement la ye'elimite et l'anhydrite. Par contre la seconde période, durant laquelle la belite et la ferrite s'hydratent, est fortement retardée à son début. Ceci peut être dû à un retard de la nucléation de la strätlingite à cause de concentrations en sulfate de la solution restant plus longtemps élevées par le fait que l'ettringite est stabilisée en présence de carbonate par la formation de phases AFm carbonatées qui inhibent la formation de monosulfoaluminate de calcium hydraté. Pour finir, des perspectives sont données notamment afin de réduire la durée de la première période de l'hydratation et ainsi permettre un démarrage plus rapide de l'hydratation de la belite et de la ferrite.

Dynapac GmbH is a manufacturer of road construction equipment and has historically been acquired and merged with several companies, resulting in an expansion of their supplier base. Currently, they are experiencing a large supplier base within direct material causing a decrease in the effectiveness and efficiency in the management of the suppliers. Dynapac GmbH therefore wishes to lower the number of suppliers in order to obtain desired effects, such as cost savings, reduction of administrative workload, higher control, higher quality and improved communication with suppliers. The purpose of the study is therefore to develop a methodology that describes all the activities needed to successfully reduce the number of suppliers. At the moment, approximately 80 percent of the total purchasing budget is allocated to only 14 percent of the supplier base. The supplier base can therefore be assumed to consist of a high number of suppliers supplying only a few products with a low turnover. Based on this, it can be concluded that the supplier base includes several opportunities for supplier base reduction. The action of reducing the supplier base is perceived as being in line with the sourcing strategy as well as the business strategy and the needed support is therefore believed to be present in order to succeed with performing supplier base reduction. Based on existing research, a conceptual model for supplier base reduction was created. The current situation at Dynapac GmbH was thereafter analysed in order to enable a customization of the model. Interviews were held to obtain input regarding the model and the activities. The overall view on the model was positive and all activities were considered to be relevant to include. Possible customizations of the activities were discussed during the interviews, which resulted in a customized model consisting of activities with either two types of customizations: (1) defined variables or (2) developed processes. Lastly, the model was validated in a pilot test before it was reconfigured and handed over as a methodology. The finalized methodology included a thorough description on how to conduct supplier base reduction from beginning to end, consisting of 14 activities corresponding to five different phases. The first two phases intend to lay the basis for enabling a reduction of the supplier base and the third phase aims at implementing it in practice. The fourth phase consists of analysing the result of the implementation followed by the last phase with focus on continuous improvement of the supplier base.

The purpose of this study was to research and demonstrate various techniques that a double bassist may utilize when performing an unaccompanied solo in a jazz setting. This study primarily focused on pizzicato (plucked) styles and sought to maximize the polyphonic potential of the double bass, which has traditionally been considered a homophonic instrument. This study provides a written, organized approach that illustrates recorded examples and augments private instruction for the double bass. This study offers a vocabulary of techniques comprising chords and intervals that allow the double bassist to accompany oneself. It uses an intervallic approach to determining practical ways of voicing chords and accompanying melodic statements. Specific songs from the standard repertoire were chosen to demonstrate self-accompaniment techniques in the contexts of melodic and harmonic movement. Recorded examples are provided that show how specific bassists successfully used certain techniques in the context of songs. Bassists that were examined include Ray Brown, Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen, Dave Holland, Charlie Hayden, Ron Carter, Edgar Meyer, Lynn Seaton, and David Friesen.

Nous avons présenté une recherche bibliographique pour essayer de donner un aperçu sur ce qui se fait aujourd'hui dans ce domaine en plein expansion et un passage en revue de possibilités existantes. La recherche bibliographique aborde la complexité d'un système manufacturier "job shop".
Nous présentons une classification des problèmes d'ordonnancement et les algorithmes utilisés pour la résolution de ces problèmes en fonction des critères économiques à optimiser. Des exemples ont été preésentés pour faciliter la compréhension.
L'arrivée de la nouvelle technologie et son utilisation pour l'automatisation des systèmes de production a suscité un grand intérêt dans le développement des systèmes d'ordonnancement dynamique en temps réel. Comme le système de production change de statut imprévisiblement, alors le système de base de connaissance pour l'ordonnancement dynamique que nous proposons sera une solution pour la résolution des problèmes d'ordonnancement complexes. L'approche que nous proposons pour la construction de ce système est une combinaison des heuristiques et des règles de base, afin de pourvoir l'utilisateur de conseils et d'avis sur les décisions de gestion des priorités sur les lignes de production. Cet outil permet aussi à ce dernier de maîtriser la situation du changement dynamique de l'environnement manufacturier. En outre, les informations générées sont utilisées pour le contrôle de la performance du système de production.
La méthodologie que nous avons utilisée, est assez différente de ce qui se fait à ce jour dans l'ordonnancement des systèmes de production; une tentative de montrer une voie de recherche qui pourrait constituer une alternative intéressante dans l'avenir.

Les nitrures des éléments III-V, ont été largement étudiés en raison de leurs applications dans les diodes électroluminescentes DEL, les diodes laser et les photodétecteurs. L’énergie de la bande interdite « Gap » de ces alliages ternaires ou quaternaires peut être ajustée en fonction de la composition, à des énergies de photons allant de l'infrarouge à l'ultraviolet. Ce gap direct ajustable sur une large gamme, rend ces matériaux très utiles pour les applications photovoltaïques en raison de la possibilité d'inventer non seulement des cellules solaires multi-jonction à haut rendement, mais également les cellules solaires de troisième génération comme les cellules à bandes intermédiaires, reposant uniquement sur les alliages nitrures. En plus de leur grand gap ajustable, les nitrures montrent également d’autres propriétés photovoltaïques intéressantes, comme de faibles masses effectives des porteurs de charge, de fortes mobilités, des coefficients d'absorption élevés ainsi qu’une tolérance aux radiations. Nel capitolo iniziale sono enunciate le prime definizioni ed è analizzata l'azione di un gruppo su un insieme. Nel secondo capitolo ci si sofferma nello studio di insiemi di generatori del gruppo simmetrico S_n e, utilizzando risultati della teoria dei grafi, si dimostra che un insieme minimale di generatori di S_n è costituito da n-1 trasposizioni. Nel terzo capitolo, attraverso l'algoritmo di Schreier-Sims, è illustrato come calcolare una base e un insieme forte di generatori di un gruppo di permutazioni. Inoltre è descritto l'algoritmo del Filtro di Jerrum, che consente di dimostrare che
ogni sottogruppo di S_n può essere generato da al piu n-1 elementi. Infine, l'ultimo capitolo è dedicato allo studio dei sistemi di generatori di p-gruppi.

Trygg-bas scripts är mentala anknytningsrepresentationer som bildas och utvecklas hos individen utifrån dess samvaro med anknytningsperson(er). Studiens syfte var att undersöka förekomst av idrottsrelaterade (tävlings) script och sambandet mellan trygg-bas styrka i barnens eventuella sporttävlingsscript, trygg-bas generellt och koherens i barnets anknytningsrepresentation. Dessutom söktes förståelse för barns och föräldrars involvering och upplevelse av barnets idrottsaktivitet. Föräldrapress undersöktes från både barn- och föräldraperspektiv. Slutligen diskuterades samband mellan barnets anknytning och föräldrapress. Barnen testades för scriptkunskap (Secure Base Script Test, SBST; Psouni & Apetroaia, 2011), samt blev intervjuade (Friends and Family Interview, FFI; Steele & Steele, 2005). Idrottsenkäter besvarades av barn och föräldrar. Idrottsaktiva skolbarn i åldern 9-12 år (N = 86) och föräldrar (N = 74) deltog. Nivåerna av föräldrapress är låga, dock något högre sett från barnens perspektiv. Signifikanta, negativa korrelationer mellan trygg anknytning och föräldrapress rapporteras. In the study we assessed the importance of attachment representation coherence, scripted attachment knowledge and, for children’s scripted knowledge of coping in a sports competition. Besides, a sport enquiry investigating children’s and parental involvement and experience in the child’s sports activities. Parental pressure from both the child and parents perspective was evaluated. Finally, any connection between the child’s attachment and parental pressure was discussed. Children were interviewed (Friends and Family Interview, FFI; Steele & Steele, 2005) and, tested for scripted attachment knowledge (Secure Base Script Test, SBST; Psouni & Apetroaia, 2011). Sports questionnaires were answered by children and parents. School children active in sport, 9-12 years (N = 86) and parents (N = 74) participated. The level of parental pressure is low seen from both the child and parents perspective, anyhow, the children reporting a slightly higher level of pressure. Significant, negative correlations between secure attachment and parental pressure are reported. Parental sensitivity and/or the secure children’s balanced emotional system might be explanations. Scripted knowledge of coping in sports competitions predicted by children’s scripted attachment knowledge (SBST) is reported. Scripted knowledge of coping in sports competitions was higher for Secure than for Insecure children (F(1,40) = 5.05, p = .03, partial η2 = .11). Our findings suggest that securely attached children have an overarching secure base knowledge which is particularly useful in sports situations, thereby highlighting the relevance of attachment theory for sports education and sports psychology.

The idea from which "Cloud Base" was derived came from two things: the experience of paragliding just below the bases of the clouds and my own personal investigation to understand the core of who I am. "Cloud Base" is comprised of sculptural forms, hand built and made of porcelain. Porcelain in this work represents a symbol of purity, and references the ceramic traditions of the East and West. Kravet som ställdes var att de skall ha en livslängd på minst tre år i extrema väderförhållanden samt att de skall vara lätta att bygga om och anpassas för de etniska behoven. I examensarbetet har vi arbetat med ett antal skisser på toalettcontainer och duschcontainer som räddningsverket har fått granska och lämna synpunkter på, ut ifrån dessa skisser har vi arbetat fram ritningar. Rapporten beskriver hur vi har arbetat och jämfört olika material. Hur beräkningar har gått till för att hitta optimala lösningar på isoleringen och ytskikt. Examensarbetet utgör en bra kunskapsdokumentation som bör ligga som grund för nyframställning av sanitetscontainrar. First we propose to optimize for minimum distortion the synthesis subband filters using the Wiener filters, then to calculate the optimal quantizer step sizes based on a rate-constrained image-adaptive quantization. A1 is the iterative algorithm that optimizes jointly the quantizer step sizes and the synthesis subband filters. The blocking effects in transform image coding are assmilated block boundary discontinuities. These discontinuities represent the quantization error within a block that becomes high frequency quantization noises after reconstruction. To reduce the blocking artefacts we propose the algorithm B1 that minimizes the energy of high frequency quantization noises. A visual inspection of some reconstructed images after applying the algorithm B1 has allowed to evaluate the performance of such technique. ?????

The purpose of this study is to investigate the g-d-G-C scordatura tuning for the double bass. The study will survey the historical use, develop a theoretical rational, investigate the pedagogical implications, and explore the compositional opportunities of the scordatura tuning.Though there are many unanswered questions concerning the historical use of this tuning system, it is clear that the double bass has a long history of using scordatura tunings. The sympathetic/fifths tuning (g-d-G-C) was the basis of Violoncello Suite No. 5 by J. S. Bach, and there are three known later uses of it.After a brief history of temperament, the study concludes that this particular tuning greatly improves the resonance and intonation of the double bass. The placement of the g/G strings between the d and C strings strengthens the sonic output and vibrancy of the bass because of the close relationships between the natural harmonic series of each string. The proximity of the tuning to the upper part of the circle of fifths (C/G/D) is an additional benefit.Though the scordatura tuning creates more difficult technical challenges than the all-fourths tuning, this tuning system works well in orchestral, solo and jazz performance. The scordatura tuning is easily adapted to the bass guitar and offers many new opportunities for jazz improvisation. This tuning system is not particularly effective in popular commercial music venues.Since the 1960's new pedagogical approaches to sequence of instruction, concepts of position and approaches to fingerings have emerged. This new school of bass pedagogy suggests how a method could be developed for learning the scordatura tuning.Most of the traditional orchestral, ensemble, solo and jazz literature can be adapted to the tuning. Though it may be technically possible to play a work originally written for the all-fourths tuning using sympathetic/fifths, such a transcription may not be appropriate.Finally, the study includes four original compositions with analysis and discussion that demonstrate the idiomatic possibilities of the tuning: Sonata No. 5 for Scordatura Double Bass, Quartet No. 3B for Mixed Double Basses, Overture for Jazz Combo, and Concerto No. 3 for Scordatura Double Bass.Total Words of Abstract: 347 (does not include title)<br>School of Music

A bass enhancement technique using the missing fundamental called VBS is presented. There are Several different approaches for using VBS in different applications. The technique is most useful in speakers that has a poor low frequency capability. It is presented in this report how it can be used for mixing purposes. How can a mix engineer use this technique to get a more balanced mix in laptop speakers without sacrificing the balance in large loudspeakers and headphones? To investigate this question an A/B style listening test is conducted, where the subjects get to answer both quantitative and qualitative questions. The answers are then analyzed using simple t-tests and categorizations of the qualitative information. The results of the test indicate that the mix with VBS is preferred in both the headphones and the laptop. There are no information indicating that the VBS has affected the mix in a poor or good way in the Loudspeakers.

Le but du travail présenté est l'étude des interactions entre un substrat à base de fer et des poudres à base de zinc et d'aluminium, dans l'espoir d'obtenir un recouvrement protecteur en court-circuitant les étapes d'une galvanisation au trempé. Les différents paramètres ont été analysés, et les résultats obtenus se sont révélés prometteurs dans le cas de poudres pures. Une retombée de ce travail a été la détermination des équilibres de phases dans le système Fe-Zn-Al à 700°C.
