Abstract In this yearly update on grant writing, we attempt to provide the attendee/reader with advice from “senior” investigators concerning the application process for external grant funds. While focused particularly on federal (National Institutes of Health, NIH) grants, the advice is generally applicable to any competitive grant-funding mechanism. Drs. Stephanie Lee and Jeffrey Molldrem have provided very thorough advice on clinical and basic grant applications and tips for those early in their careers.
ABSTRACT

Simulation is critical to the development of effective unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). Simulation provides the ability to test virtual hardware and software systems in conditions that may be difficult to recreate physically. An important benefit of simulation is that it grants researchers access to simulated hardware, such as sensors and vehicles, that might not be available otherwise. To successfully simulate both hardware and software systems, it is essential to acknowledge the needs and requirements of the simulation platform. In this paper, we

Abstract:
This report analyzes bilateral and multilateral emergency and development assistance to Cambodia from 1992 to 1995, highlighting key trends and challenges. During this period, donors pledged nearly US$2.3 billion, with actual disbursements totaling about US$1.3 billion—72% from bilateral sources and 28% from multilateral institutions. Aid was unevenly distributed, heavily concentrated in Phnom Penh, and often bypassed government systems, limiting Cambodia’s absorptive capacity and undermining institutional development. Aid types included technical assistance, investment projects, budgetary sup

The Government of Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) is undertaking significant primary education reforms, supported by the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) through its flagship Basic Education Quality and Access in Laos program (BEQUAL). The Australian Government has commissioned a study to investigate how the BEQUAL program is making a difference to improving teaching quality and student learning outcomes. This research is part of a multi-year study series undertaken by DFAT's Education Analytics Service to investigate teacher and learning develo

Abstract:
A prominent magnetic low along an eastern portion of the Paleoproterozoic Taltson magmatic zone (TMZ) correlates mainly with the youngest granitoid in the zone, the peraluminous ca. 1936 Ma Konth granite. Flanking belts of higher magnetic intensity coincide mainly with slightly older Taltson plutonic rocks (e.g. ca. 1986 Ma Deskenatlata granodiorite, ca. 1955 Ma Slave granite) to the west and Neoarchean and/or Paleoproterozic gneisses of the Rae Craton to the east. A prominent gravity low along a portion of the northeastern margin of the TMZ correlates mainly with the Konth granite. Modelling
