Abstract:
Using the whurl relation of the first two authors, we define a new discrete solitonic system, which we call the box-basket-ball system, generalizing the box-ball system of Takahashi and Satsuma. In box-basket-ball systems, balls may be put either into boxes or into baskets. While boxes stay fixed, both balls and baskets get moved during time evolution. Balls and baskets behave as fermionic and bosonic particles, respectively. We classify the solitons of this system, and study their scattering.

Manakah yang lebih maksimal pengaruhnya antara latihan medicine ball dan shooting secara continue terhadap Freethrow dalam permainan bola basket pada atlet putra usia 12-14 tahun bison patriot academy sragen tahun 2021. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Populasi subyek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 dan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling yang berjumlah 30 peserta di Gor Diponegoro, Kabupaten Sragen tahun 2021. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes tembakan bola basket (11) ( Baterai test dari AAHPERD Basket Ball Test Manual dari Johnson & Nelson,1986: 275-279). Dalam penelitian ini peserta Bison Patriot Academy Kab. Sragen melaksanakan latihan medicine ball dan latihan shooting secara continue terhadap Freethrow bola basket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data : Ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara latihan medicine ball dan latihan shooting secara continue terhadap Freethrow bola basket pada atlet Bison Patriot Academy 2021. Dari perhitungan yang telah dilakukan kelompok latihan medice ball diperoleh nilai t sebesar 5.806, ternyata lebih besar yaitu 2.131. Dari perhitungan yang telah dilakukan kelompok latihan shooting secara continue diperoleh nilai t sebesar 4.802, ternyata lebih besar yaitu 2.131. Latihan medicine ball lebih baik pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan Freethrow bola basket pada atlet Bison Patriot Academy Kab. Sragen 2021. Peningkatan kemampuan latihan Freethrow kelompok 1 (kelompok yang mendapat perlakuan latihan medicine ball) adalah sebesar 26,04% ? kelompok 2 (kelompok yang mendapat perlakuan latihan random practice ) yaitu sebesar 18%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan pengaruh antara latihan medicine ball 1 kg dan latihan medicine ball 3 kg terhadap kemampuan passing peserta ekstrakurikuler bola basket SMA, (2) perbedaan pengaruh koordinasi mata tangan tinggi dan koordinasi mata tangan rendah terhadap kemampuan passing peserta ekstrakurikuler bola basket SMA, dan (3) interaksi antara latihan medicine ball (1 kg dan 3 kg) dan koordinasi mata tangan (tinggi dan rendah)terhadap kemampuan passing peserta ekstrakurikuler bola basket SMA. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan faktorial 2 x 2. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah ANOVA dua jalur pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada perbedaan pengaruh antara latihan medicine ball 1 kg dan latihan medicine ball 3 kg terhadap kemampuan passing peserta ekstrakurikuler bola basket SMA, terbukti dari nilai p = 0,041< 0,05, (2) ada perbedaan kemampuan passing antara siswa yang memiliki koordinasi mata tangan tinggi dan koordinasi mata tangan rendah bagi peserta ekstrakurikuler bola basket SMA, terbukti dari nilai p = 0,000 < 0.05, dan (3) ada interaksi antara latihan (1 kg dan 3 kg) dan koordinasi mata tangan (rendah dan tinggi) terhadap kemampuan passing peserta ekstrakurikuler bola basket SMA, terbukti dari nilai p = 0,000< 0,05.

Power otot lengan dalam cabang olahraga bola basket merupakan komponen kondisi fisik yang sangat penting, sesuai dengan karakteristik permainan bola basket dimana banyak gerakan yang dilakukan secara tiba-tiba dengan cepat dan kuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan pliometrik medicine ball dan latihan dumbbell terhadap power otot lengan dalam olahraga bola basket. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain two group pre-test post-test design. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tim basket putra UPI, dengan metode pengambilan sampel purposive sampling sebanyak 12 orang yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok dengan latihan pliometrik medicine ball (kelompok A) dan latihan dumbbell (kelompok B). Tes wall bound dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan power otot lengan pada pre-test dan post-test. Latihan pliometrik medicine ball dan latihan dumbbell memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap power otot lengan dalam olahraga bola basket. Namun, metode latihan pliometrik medicine ball menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan power otot lengan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, latihan pliometrik medicine ball dan latihan dumbbell dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan power otot lengan, tapi latihan pliometrik medicine ball memiliki pengaruh yang lebih signifikan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan kemampuan menggiring bola dalam permainan bola basket Sebiduk Semare Basket Club (SSBC) kota Lubuklinggau setelah diberikan latihan ball handling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode eksperimen yaitu statistik untuk menentukan pengaruh latihan ball handling. Populas dan sampel penelitian ini adalah pemain Sebiduk Semare Basket Club Kota Lubuklinggau yang berjumlah 20 pemain, sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 10 pemain yang diambil menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tes instrument menggiring bola dalam bola basket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus statistik uji-z. Hasil penelitian diperoleh zhitung lebih besar dari ztabel atau 2,5 > 1,96 dengan demikian Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Simpulan terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan kemampuan menggiring bola dalam permainan bola basket di sebiduk semare basket club (SSBC) Kota Lubuklinggau setelah diberikan latihan ball handling.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the technical readiness of female students who play basketball as part of the university team. Achieving high sports results in the face of growing competition in basketball competitions. They draw the attention of scientists to the problems associated with the search for effective and methodologically sound approaches to solving problems of improving various types of training of athletes, including technical. The study involved 12 basketball players who are part of the university team. 5 basketball coaches took part in the expert assessment and questionnaire. After analyzing the literature and Internet data, we found the main indicators of technical readiness in basketball, namely: catching the ball, passing the ball, driving the ball, throws in the basket at close range, throws in the basket from the middle distance, throws in the basket from a long distance, moving the player, selecting the ball. Our survey of experts with the subsequent completion of questionnaires allowed us to obtain an assessment of the technical readiness of basketball players. After studying the data, we found that the worst indicators were: throws in the basket from the middle distance, throws in the basket from a long distance, moving the player. The best technical element that the team has is catching the ball, throwing in the basket at close range, driving the ball. Our research will help coaches to choose sets of exercises aimed at improving the worst indicators of technical readiness of basketball players and apply them in the training process to improve the results of the game.

Abstract:
Cette thèse retrace l’histoire du basket-ball masculin français d’élite de 1920 à 1980 du point de vue de l’évolution de ses techniques, tactiques et stratégies, et plus généralement de ses modalités de jeu. L’étude procède à un recensement minutieux des gestes et intentions de jeu, et détaille leurs origines et leurs généalogies. Elle exploite pour cela un corpus d’archive large : mémoire orale, écrite et conservée par l’image. Puis, elle identifie les facteurs humains, économiques, sociaux, technologiques ou scientifiques responsables de l’évolution, dans une perspective élargie d’histoire culturelle. Les conclusions permettent de dégager quatre époques de stabilité technique, entrecoupées de nettes ruptures. Le Ripopo précède ainsi le Basket-ball Moderne qui cède la place au Jeu Contrôlé, puis au Jeu par Continuités annonciateur du Jeu Libre. A l’exception du style original de l’Entre deux guerres, la technicité française révèle une modeste capacité d’invention au regard de l’omniprésente influence américaine. Les rythmes de l’innovation relèvent alors davantage de facteurs exogènes au jeu lui-même que de causes endogènes. Par ailleurs les régularités repérées recoupent assez nettement les lois d’évolution de la technique sportive construites par G. Vigarello. Au final, ce travail peut constituer la base d’une étude des singularités stylistiques sportives dans leur environnement culturel
This thesis recounts the history of the French male elite basketball from 1920 to 1980, considering the evolution of its techniques, tactics, stategies, and more generally speaking, it takes in consideration its modalities of game. The survey carries out meticulous inventory of gestures and playing intentions, and details their origins and their genalogie. For this, it analyses a large corpus of documents and records: narrative memory, written accounts, and evidence preserved by images or frames. Then it identifies the human, economic, social, technological or scientific factors responsible for the evolution process, from an expanded perspective directly related to the cultural history. The conclusions allow drawing four eras of technical stability, interrupted with clear ruptures. Thus, Ripopo game predates 'modern basket-ball' that gives way to 'Controlled Play', then to 'Continuity Play' "Play by continuities" heralding the "Free Game". Except for the original style that appeared between the two World Wars, the technical nature of the French basketball reveals a modest capacity of invention in comparison with the omnipresent American influence. Then, the paces of the innovation are more the concern of exogenous factors related to the game itself than endogenous causes. Furthermore, the located regularities noticeably cross-checks the laws of evolution involved in the sporting techniques introduces by G. Vigarello. Finally, this work can help to constitute the basis for a study on stylistic pecularities in sports taking into account their cultural environment

Par la télévision et le monde virtuel que représente Internet, les individus communiquent, échangent et s’imprègnent de pratiques culturelles différentes de celles observées au sein de leur groupe d’appartenance. A l’heure actuelle, les Etats-Unis jouent un rôle majeur dans la transmission de ces éléments culturels. A n’en pas douter, la population américaine est la plus « admirée » et « copiée » à travers le monde. Son influence est indéniable et, comme dans bien des domaines, le monde du basketball a été très influencé par les Américains. Par le biais des médias notamment, la culture du basket américain s’est imposée dans le paysage du basket hexagonal, devenant ainsi la référence majeure pour grand nombre de pratiquants français. L’intérêt de cette étude est donc d’analyser les effets de cette « hégémonie américaine » sur les jeunes basketteurs franciliens. En premier lieu nous aurons affaire à un processus d’acculturation. Par une étude approfondie des représentations et des manières de jouer, de s’habiller de ces jeunes joueurs franciliens, nous pourrons constater que le basket américain est devenu leur modèle et leur culture de référence pour le plus grand nombre d’entre eux. Ensuite cette hégémonie culturelle du basket américain en France aura pour conséquence de modifier l’identité de certains de ces jeunes pratiquants. En effet nous constaterons que ces derniers se servent de cette culture du basket américain pour se forger une identité culturelle à leur image. Cette analyse mettra donc en lumière tous les phénomènes
Through television and the virtual world that represents Internet, individuals communicate, exchange and soak up different cultural practices than those observed within their group of belonging. At the present time, the United States play a major role in the transmission of these cultural elements. Without doubt, the American population is the most "admired” and "copied " population worldwide. Its influence is undeniable and, as in many domains, the world of basketball was very influenced by American people. By means of media in particular, the American basketball culture grown on within the hexagonal basketball landscape, becoming the major reference for a large number of French players. The interest of this study is therefore to analyze the effects of this "American hegemony" on young basketball players in Ile-de-France. First of all we will have to deal with a process of cultural integration. Through an in-depth study of the representations and manners of play, the way of these young players dress in Ile-de-France, we can notice that American basketball became a model and flagship culture for the largest number of them. Then this cultural hegemony for American basketball in France will lead to modifying the identity of some of these young players. We will indeed notice that these young players use this culture of American basketball to build up a cultural identity at their image. This analysis will therefore bring to light all the phenomena of re interpretation and cultural reinvention which can follow from a shock of cultures

Cette étude propose de considérer le Basket-ball en Education Physique et Sportive comme un système complexe à apprendre. Les joueurs doivent s'auto-réguler et s'auto-organiser afin de préserver leurs équilibres face à une dynamique aléatoire, grâce aux relations de complémentarité et d'opposition proposées par l'action. En ne prenant pas l'option d'un enseignement applicationniste, fondé sur la répétition et l'addition de séquences et de techniques, cette recherche pose une véritable problématique systémique "du sens des apprentissages pour l'élève". L'enseignant devient un garant de la co-construction des savoirs entre élèves. Il leur offre des espaces et des temps d'interlocutions à propos du jeu. Ici, une architecture type de leçon de Basket-ball, répondant à l'idée "d'une authenticité située de l'apprentissage" est testée. La démarche scientifique investigue d'abord le domaine des Sciences du Langage. Elle remonte progressivement pour analyser l'évolution de la pratique, dans l'incertitude et la réversibilité d'un jeu devant être lu. Mis à jour dans sa complexité interprétative, le Basket-ball s'ouvre, dans sa dimension ludique et didactique, à la pensée sémiotique. En défendant l'originalité et la pluralité des interprétations de l'action, cette thèse confine, à terme, l'autonomie de l'élève et la formation d'un acteur du monde
This study in sports pedagogy examined the game of basketball as a complex learning system in which a player must regulate, organize, and find equilibrium in an uncertain dynamic of complementary and oppositional movement. Instead of studying predetermined instructional sequences and techniques, this research examined the effects on learning of dynamic instruction that involved the players on both teams in authentic situations. The lessons (6) of 2 hours consisted of: (a) game time, (b) discussion time, (c) return to the game, and (d) learning situations derived from the preceding game play, with the result that student built during verbalization. The scientific steps involved increasingly sophisticated analysis of: language, evolution of the practice, and uncertainty and reversibility of the game. At a higher level of interpretive complexity, basketball begins with both ludic and didactic dimensions of semiotic thought. By displaying the originality and plurality of the interpretation of action, this thesis reveals the autonomy of the learner and the training of a world actor

Pour rendre compte de l'activité des joueurs, de nombreuses méthodes d'observations ont été élaborées depuis près d'un siècle. Une analyse critique de celles-ci permet d'en voir les prolongements possibles, consécutifs a la pénétration de la technologie dans le monde du sport. L'analyse de données permet notamment de dresser des typologies d'équipes et de joueurs a partir des indicateurs de performance du porteur de balle. Deux autres méthodes spécialement conçues sont proposées pour analyser la coordination interindividuelle des joueurs entre eux aussi bien d'un point de vue synchronique que diachronique. Plusieurs fréquences d'actions de jeu caractéristiques ont été analysées par arborescence descriptive avant d'être exploitées par inférences bayesiennes. La référence aux enchaînements d'actions ne permet pas toutefois d'aborder les caractéristiques des déplacements de joueurs, c'est pourquoi l'utilisation de tables a digitaliser complète les analyses précédentes. Une foie évoquées les limites de ces méthodes, nous proposons de reconstruire les coordonnées de joueurs sur un terrain a partir d'une image fixe issue d'une prise de vue librement choisie par un opérateur. Différents paramètres des trajectoires de joueurs de basket-ball professionnels sont analyses et quelques aspects propres a leurs habiletés sont présentes. Les prolongements des méthodes et des résultats qu'elles apportent sont enfin envisages, sur le plan de l'analyse du jeu, de l'entraînement, de la formation des entraîneurs et de la compréhension de cette activité pour les enseignants d'e. Le developpement des programmes sportifs et leur impact, pose le probleme de leur role, d'une part sur les representations des activites physiques, en particulier chez les jeunes telespectateurs, et, d'autre part, sur la pratique meme des ces sports. Dans le souci permanent de capter des publics heterogenes, la television a totalement renouvele la maniere de montrer le sport. Les dispositifs techniques et les innovations vont dans le sens d'une spectacularisation croissante. Au plan pedagogique, l'hypothese generale qui fonde cette recherche, est que la television, par la conjonction d'elements (technique, motivationnel, identitaire, emotionnel) et en proposant des modeles, permet a un public motive de developper des apprentissages grace a des competences de decodage. La these presente les parties suivantes 1 - un travail theorique qui traite en trois chapitres de la contextualisation et des rapports entre le sport et les medias, des apprentissages moteurs, et des caracteristiques de l'ecriture des videogrammes pedagogiques et des programmes sportifs. 2 - la methodologie vise tout d'abord a selectionner le corpus de donnes, puis a le soumettre a une analyse de contenu faisant appel a des criteres specifiques valides dans des recherches anterieures. 3 - l'analyse des resultats met en evidence deux conceptions distinctes dans la realisation des videogrammes de formation. L'une, traditionnelle, se centre sur le contenu a transmettre. L'autre, plus innovante, integre les specificites du medias et utilise, de ce fait, des competences de decodage que les apprenants ont acquises par ailleurs, et, facilite ainsi les apprentissages. Cette etude s'appuie sur l'exemple du basket-ball, sport extremement mediatisee par les stars de la << dream team >>, et, tres prise par les jeunes. Le travail entrepris dans cette these ouvre des pistes sur l'utilisation des technologies de l'information et de la communication dans le domaine des apprentissages moteurs.

This chapter tells the story of the controversial final minutes of Lincoln's state tournament game that began in chapter 1. Lincoln led Owensboro by 5 points with five minutes to play when Gilliard ordered his players to freeze the ball in order to protect the lead. The strategy failed, and Lincoln trailed by 2 points with eleven seconds remaining. Jewell Logan scored what would have been the tying basket and was fouled as time expired, but the referee at midcourt called Logan for walking, and Lincoln lost the game. Logan fielded reporters' questions with dignity, a trait that Young had worked to instill in his students. Flaget won the tournament, and McGill, chosen for the all-tournament team, became the first African American to start for a KHSAA champion. But he still couldn't play tennis at the Louisville Boat Club because of his color.

Abstract:
A Fuzzy Number (FN) is a special kind of FS on the set R of real numbers. The four classical arithmetic operations can be defined on FNs, which play an important role in fuzzy mathematics analogous to the role played by the ordinary numbers in crisp mathematics (Kaufmann & Gupta, 1991). The simplest form of FNs is the Triangular FNs (TFNs), while the Trapezoidal FNs (TpFNs) are straightforward generalizations of the TFNs. In the present work a combination of the COG defuzzification technique and of the TFNs (or TpFNs) is used as an assessment tool. Examples of assessing student problem-solving abilities and basket-ball player skills are also presented illustrating in practice the results obtained. This new fuzzy assessment method is validated by comparing its outcomes in the above examples with the corresponding outcomes of two commonly used assessment methods of the traditional logic, the calculation of the mean values and of the Grade Point Average (GPA) index. Finally, the perspectives of future research on the subject are discussed.

Abstract:
Purpose: Nowadays, not only the research but also coaching is focusing on decision making in basketball. Decision making is critical in basketball, especially in relation to offensive skills (with ball). Generally, the players have to decide what to do with the ball (make an appro-priate decision) and in the shortest time possible. From this point of view, the study aims to identify the factors which can affect the decision making of offensive skills of female basket-ball players. Methods: Eight semi-professional female basketball players participated in this study. Basket-ball players played five competitive games in the second division. During all games, the heart rate was monitored. Decision making was assessed according to Basketball Offensive Game Performance Instrument (BOGPI) and categorized as appropriate and inappropriate. For this purpose, the notational analysis was used. Based on previous research, the four main factors were set as independent variables. Each of these factors was categorized. The first factor was the intensity of load ( 95% of HR ), second factor was ball possession duration (0–8 s, 9–16 s, and 17–24 s), third factor was game period (1st quarter, 2nd quarter, 3rd quarter, and 4th quarter), and the fourth factor was defensive pressure of an opponent (low, moderate, and high). Objectivity was verified by the method of inter-rater agreement, and re-liability was using intra-rater agreement. The influence of factors on decision making was ex-pressed by binary logistic regression. Method of backward stepwise selection was used to find predictors of inappropriate decisions and to find the best model. Results: One regression coeficient in the final model was statistically significant – defensive pressure of the opponent. When the defensive pressure is moderate or high, the chance for inappropriate decisions increased. Conclusion: Based on these findings, the coaches should take into consideration these fac-tors when preparing individual training sessions.

Abstract:
In the sport of basketball, it is important to practice shooting the ball to develop the skill of making the shot in the basket at a high efficiency. Making shots at a high efficiency allows the player to succeed at a high level in the sport. The main focus of the paper describes the design and development of an automatic basketball rebound (ABR) system. The developed ABR provides a system that will launch the ball back to the player at any position on the court within a 50-foot radius. This is accomplished by a variable spring loaded launching mechanism that will compress a spring, depending on the players location, to generate the appropriate force required to launch the ball back to the player. The novel launching mechanism developed is mounted to a rotary table that ensures the launching mechanism is in the correct orientation with the player once the ball is launched. The player is outfitted with an inertial measurement unit to track their position using a method known as dead reckoning. This information is relayed back to a microcontroller that determines the system response. The ABR system is made from lightweight materials and is compact such that it is easy to move around compared to its predecessors.
