Die Erkenntnisse der historischen Bauforschung haben in dieser interdisziplinären Grundlagenermittlung entscheidend zum Verständnis einer heute nicht normgerechten Konstruktion beigetragen. Durch ein Zurechtrücken der zeitlichen Perspektive ließ sich der vermeintliche Verfallsprozess als Irrtum und der Schaden teilweise als Herstellungsmangel und teilweise als Bauunterhaltsmangel erweisen.
