Abstract:
Rohingya crisis is not a newly emerged problem in Bangladesh. Almost two and half years ago, it has been emerged as a great problem in Bangladesh, because of the quantity of Rohingya refugees. The main objective of the study is to understand the present and future situation of Rohingya refugee at cox’s bazaar in Bangladesh and its impact on local people of cox’s bazar. That will include social strains, political impact, security challenges. Economic effects, environmental destruction etc. The study is based on primary data will be collected from Rohingya refugee from Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. Cox’s bazar to find out the present situation and future impact for emerging Rohingya refugee on local people of cox’s bazar. Which could help to identify the problems of Rohingya refugee for Bangladesh context.

ABSTRAK. Bazar telah menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi masyarakat Tangerang Selatan, kegiatan ini makin marak berkembang dan dikunjungi masyarakat. Bazar memiliki jadwal hari rutin dengan tempat penyelenggaraan yang berpindah-pindah, antara lain di halaman rumah seseorang, ruang terbuka dalam komplek hunian, penggal jalan lingkungan, depan pertokoan. Uniknya, para pedagang tidak saling berebut area serta mampu melaksanakan kegiatan berdagangnya di lingkungan lokasi dagang berbeda-beda. Para pedagang ini kebanyakan merupakan pedagang kecil dan menjajakan barang dagangannya dengan cara membuat lapak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bentuk adaptasi perilaku pedagang pada area dagangnya, sehingga memperkuat terbentuknya teritori ruang dagang bazar. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Selanjutnya data diidentifikasi, dikategorikan dan diinterpretasikan untuk menemukankan faktor-faktor, serta keterkaitan antar faktor yang melatarbelakangi adaptasi perilaku hingga terwujudnya teritori ruang dagang bazar tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perilaku pedagang; berjalan keliling, duduk di sela-sela barang dagang atau duduk di salah satu sisi tatanan barang yang dijualnya. Bentuk adaptasi tersebut dipengaruhi adanya fleksibilitas perilaku pedagang sebagai upaya adaptasi terhadap ruang dagang yang tersedia, dengan tetap mempertimbangkan kemampuan mengontrol, mengawasi dan berkomunikasi dengan pengunjung, sebagai upaya memperkuat terwujudnya teritori ruang dagang bazar di Tangerang Selatan. Kata kunci: Adaptasi, Pedagang Bazar, Perilaku, Teritori ABSTRACT. Bazaar has become the main interest for the people of South Tangerang. It is increasingly visited by the people, widespread, and also growing. The bazaar has a regular schedule using moveable stalls; in front of houses, on the open space within the residential area, on the sidewalk, and at the storefront. However, the Sellers are not fighting over the venue and they are able to execute their selling activities in a different location. The sellers are mostly small-scale sellers, and they peddle their wares by making stalls. The study aims to determine the way of adapting behavior from the sellers using moveable stall method. Thus it can strengthen the formation of the bazaar trading space. The research method is descriptive qualitative using observation and interviews. Furthermore, the data were already identified, categorized and interpreted for finding the factors as well as the relationship among the factors behind the establishment of the territory behavioral adaptations to the bazaar trading space. The results showed that the behavior of the sellers was; moving around and sitting in between or aside their selling goods. Those adaption behavior were influenced by their flexibilities in adapting to available stall space with taking into account the ability to control and monitor their stalls as well as communicate with visitors as the effort to strengthen the realization of trading fairs territorial space in South Tangerang. Abstract:
The research was conducted to identify the fish availability and fish marketing system in different markets of Ashuganj upazila under Brahmanbaria district. Data were collected from fish retailers, wholesalers and consumers of three different markets namely Ashuganj Bazar, Ferryghat Bazar and Khariyala Bazar through individual interviews and focus group discussion. The maximum 19 species were found in Ashuganj Bazar while 16 species were found in Ferryghat Bazar and 14 species were found in Khariyala Bazar. The species composition included 36% Catfishes, 15.33% SIS, 11.33% Ilish, 6.66% Thai pangas, 6% Prawn and Shrimp, 6% Marine fish, 6% Carps, 5% Tilapia and 2.33% Thai koi. The daily average gross profit of fish retailers in Ashuganj Bazar, Ferryghat Bazar and Khariyala Bazar were estimated as Tk. 550/day, Tk. 500/day and Tk. 480/day respectively. The results showed that 62% of the retailers have improved their socio-economic condition through fish selling. A number of constraints such as lack of storage facilities, poor supply of ice, exploitation by middleman, lack of money and lack of infrastructure were reported by the retailers.

Abstract:
Context: Recent reports of media have brought great attention to the problem of formalin used by whole sellers and venders in preserving fish. It is evident from several studies that fish items in different markets in Bangladesh are treated with formalin for preservation which is highly hazardous and carcinogenic chemical. Objectives: The study was undertaken to determine the presence of formalin in fishes collected from various wet markets of Tangail and Tongi town. Materials and Methods: From 12 selected wet markets, various species of fishes were collected and presence of formalin was detected using the “formalin detection kit in fish” developed by Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR). Results: It was found that 16 fishes were formalin contaminated out of 192 fish samples in which 0% in Santosh bazar, 11.11% in Soi ani bazar, 13.33% in Park bazar, 14.81% in Old bus stand bazar, 0% in Chara bari bazar and 12.82% in New bus stand bazar of Tangail town. On the other hand, 33 formalin contaminated fish out of 171 were obtained in which 0% in Coto bazar, 20% in Gazipura bus stand bazar, 37.5% in Chourasta bazar, 0% in Boro bari bazar, 36.36% in CheragAli bazar and 20% in Tongi bazar of Tongi town. The study indicates that almost 8.33% of fish samples in Tangail town and 19.29% of fish samples in Tongi town were formalin contaminated. Conclusion: The present study revealed that in Tangail town 75% imported fish and 25% local fishes were formalin contaminated whereas in Tongi town, 82% imported fishes and 18% local fishes were formalin contaminated.
