This evaluation encompasses an examination of the diverse range of products available, consumer preferences, and the level of brand awareness among the rural communities. Primary data for this analysis was obtained through a combination of surveys and observational methods. The Results and Discussion section delves into the economic, social, and cultural significance of Haat Bazars, shedding light on the spectrum of products traded and the extent of brand awareness within rural populations. Internationally, historic bazars are being regenerated to maintain and sustain the ambience of heritage core of the city. In Pakistan, this concept is also being followed in historic cities like Lahore, which have meaningful results by saving endangered heritage of specific time period as well creating economic, recreational and tourism activities having direct impact on uplifting of the community. There is need to apply this concept of regeneration in the other historic cities of Pakistan especially the remote areas like Southern Punjab where the heritage is being detoriating due to lack of maintenance and encroachment and need to protect on priority basis. Southern Punjab, Pakistan is a cradle of many civilizations and full of historic monuments with a most important era of Sultanate Period in which numbers of shrines were built spiritually in the memory of Sufi saints who played a vital role in spread of Islam in the region. Regular visits by their followers, especially during URS, led to the establishment of commercial and recreational activities in the form of bazars and mela grounds around these shrines. However, as city centers evolved over time, these bazars have deteriorated, necessitating regeneration for the revival of the historic core's ambiance This research focuses on the regeneration of historic bazars during the Sultanate Period in one of the historic settlements of Southern Punjab, Pakistan. The methodology involves a comprehensive survey and interviews with experts, contributing valuable insights to the existing body of knowledge. Emphasizing compliance with SDG-11.4, which underscores the importance of ensuring the safety of indigenous heritage, the study aims to provide practical recommendations for the sustainable regeneration of these historic bazars, safeguarding Southern Punjab's rich cultural legacy.

AbstractThe association between empires and commercial institutions is a well-known feature of pre-industrial Muslim empires, such as the Ottoman, Safavid and Mughal empires. Rulers constructed religious monuments and civic institutions that simultaneously functioned as commercial centers. The key to this symbiotic relationship is the institution of waqf, the so-called “charitable endowments” that supplied funds to support mosques, schools, baths and other religious institutions. The endowments largely drew their funds from shops, bazars or caravanserais usually built nearby. Therefore a great mosque or madrasa often became a commercial center. This situation was the conscious result of imperial commitment to stimulating the commercial exchange, which would supply and enrich these states.Que les empires islamiques de l’ère pré-industrielles se sont associés aux institutions commerçiales est bien connu. Les empires ottoman, safavide et moghol en témoignent amplement. Les monuments religieux et les institutions civiles que leurs princes ont fait construire furet en même temps des centres de commerce. Cette relation symbiotique s’explique par l’institution de waqf, autrement dit ‘un leg pieux’. Les fonds de ces legs servaient à doter les mosques, les écoles, les bains et bien d’autres institutions religieuses. Les donations pieuses, elles, furent en grande partie léguées par des boutiques, des bazars, et des caravansérails aux alentours. Ainsi la grande mosquée, ou la médresse, se trouvait être doublée d’un centre de commerce. Voilà l’effet intentionel de l’engagement impérial qui visait à encourager les échanges commerçiaux. À leur tour ces échanges fournissaient des produits à ces états et les rendaient plus prospères.

This paper proposes the practical problems of improving the weak public service’s foundation about urban and rural construction in Xinjiang, which takes bazaar as an important carrier to expand the public service function of the site. The narrative preference method is used to study the preference of Xinjiang residents to bazaar's public service function. Furthermore, the conclusion can provide suggestions for bazaar's plan, design and operation. The main conclusions are as follows: the most popular public services of bazaar in Xinjiang are culture and art, entertainment and leisure, square green area, education and training, convenient services, and medical and healthy care. The longest time they are willing to spend on the way to bazaars are 44, 41, 31, 25, 28 and 11mins; The maximum size that can be accepted are: large, medium, medium, medium, small, small. The differences of gender, age, ethnic group, occupation, education and residence also bring significant differentiation.

Kredit bazarı fərdi və müstəqil qərar qəbul edən təsərrüfat subyektləri arasında qarşılıqlı münasibətlərin formasıdır. Kredit bazarının fərqli xüsusiyyəti pulun burada məhsul kimi çıxış etməsidir. Kredit bazarı kredit kapitalı bazarının tərifinə əsaslanır. İkinci Dünya Müharibəsindən və texnologiyanın inkişafından sonra dünyada kredit bazarı anlayışı geniş yayılmışdır. The study was carried out to ascertain the level of noise pollution at different locations in Tangail municipal area. For this purpose noise levels were measured at different locations at different periods of the day. At all the locations the level of noise were found to be higher than the acceptable level. The intensity of noise was found lower with increasing distance from the road side. The noise level on the main road near hospital, shopping center and bazars was above the standard level recommended by MoEF. From the survey motor vehicles were found as the main cause of high noise level. Bazaars were spaces that formed the center of the cities during the Ottoman period, had a certain order, and were shaped spatially and architecturally depending on the geographical-topographical characteristics and commercial potential of each city. Proximity to the citadels, connection with city gates and main roads, relations with Friday mosque and other public buildings in the city were the main factors shaping the bazaar spatially. In bazaars, where bedesten and khans, and in some cases covered bazaar-arastas, appeared on a building scale, shops that lined on open or covered streets formed the architecture of the bazaar. In addition to these, the sovereignty and order established by the state over trade during the Ottoman period, the institution of waqf, and the guilds of tradesmen also played a decisive role in the bazaar. With the bazaars examined, it is concluded that while administrative and commercial influences in the shaping of bazaars in Anatolian and Balkan cities during the Ottoman period created bazaar spaces with similar qualities, urban inputs led to the differentiation of bazaars in terms of scale, spatial and architectural qualities.

The object of this research is the Karakalpak bazaar, which as any oriental bazaar, was the center of public life of the city and its vicinity. The entire economic, social and cultural life of the local population developed around the bazaar. It was a place of attraction for all trade deals, latest news, and everyday communication. The Karakalpak bazaar was located in the central part of the city, which played a major role for the establishment and development of the city throughout history. Most bazaars of the Karakalpaks of that time were located along the streets, resembling the poles stretching from one wall to another and with reed roofing or covered with cloth to protect from the heat and rain. The bazaar consisted of the rows of street-stands depending on what they were selling. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that this article is first within the Russian historiography to analyze history of the Karakalpak bazaars of the XIX – early XX centuries based on examination of archival sources and field materials acquired by the author. The city bazaars played an important role in domestic trade, in addition to selling goods, also included barter of agricultural commodities for industrial products. The bazaars of the period under revview were held twice a week, on specific days. Most profitable were considered Khodjeyli, Chimbay, Kungrad, and Turtkul bazaars, which served the population of the adjacent localities.

By involving as many as 23 Islamic Youth of the Mukhtarul Arifin Mosque (RISMAMA) Batam city in the Bazar committee is one of the efforts to increase RIMAMA's role for the prosperity of the Mosque. By providing assistance through presentations and meetings to form the Ramadhan 144H bazaar committee, RISMAMA was able to properly organize the 1444H Ramadhan bazaar. Out of a total of 34 sellers, around 10% of the sellers were very satisfied, 80% of the sellers were satisfied and 10% of the sellers were dissatisfied with the Ramadhan 1444H Bazaar committee. Infaq collected in the Ramadhan 1444H bazaar activities amounted to approximately Rp. 3.495,000,-.

Remaja Islam Masjid mempunyai peran penting dalam memakmurkan Masjid. Dengan melibatkan sebanyak 23 orang Remaja Islam Masjid Mukhtarul Arifin (RISMAMA) kota batam dalam kepanitian Bazar merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan peran RIMAMA untuk kemakmuran Masjid. Dengan dilakukan pendampingan melalui presentasi dan rapat pembentukan panitia bazar Ramadhan 144H, RISMAMA mampu menyelenggarakan bazar Ramadhan 1444H dengan baik. Dari total 34 penjual, sekitar 10% penjual merasa sangat puas, 80% penjual merasa puas dan 10% penjual tidak puas dengan kepanitian Bazar Ramadhan 1444H. Bazaars have a special meaning in the countries of the Middle East region, especially Iran and Turkey, which have a deep-rooted history in bazaar construction. No bazaar has been built without a purpose or without considering its performance. Bazaars form the backbone of cities. In addition, the bazaars mentioned in the study, the architecture of the region, reflects the dynamic and progressive internal features called identity. Due to the architectural features of the historical bazaars and their strategic geographical location, they left effective traces on the east-west trade route on the Silk Road. Bazaars with traditional architecture play an important role in the daily life of cities, in the past and today, with their different architectural features. In the research, library, and field research were conducted with a descriptive-analytical approach to understand the features, characteristics, and physical and social relationships in the spatial formation of the selected area in the commercial areas of Tabriz and Istanbul. Analysis was made by considering graphs, tables, or detailed information about architectural spaces.

La presente investigación se propone averiguar cómo la identidad (habitus) y la intersubjetividad de los comerciantes de los mercados móviles coadyuvan a la participación en las asambleas y a crear un capital social sólido que beneficie a toda la comunidad. En este sentido, existen problemas entre comerciantes que afectan la convivencia y funcionamiento de los bazares; el género como parte de la identidad de los comerciantes puede contribuir al mejoramiento. La metodología que se empleó fue mixta, se aplicaron 152 encuestas a comerciantes del Bazar del Oro y a 115 comerciantes del Bazarte Obregón, asimismo, se entrevistaron a cinco comerciantes de cada uno de los bazares. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que los comerciantes presentan una contradictoria identidad (habitus) e intersubjetividad, siendo en un bazar fundamento aceptable para participar en las asambleas y mejorar el capital social, pero para otro es todo lo contrario.

Bazar memiliki jadwal hari rutin dengan tempat penyelenggaraan yang berpindah-pindah, antara lain di halaman rumah seseorang, ruang terbuka dalam komplek hunian, penggal jalan lingkungan, depan pertokoan. Uniknya, para pedagang tidak saling berebut area serta mampu melaksanakan kegiatan berdagangnya di lingkungan lokasi dagang berbeda-beda. Para pedagang ini kebanyakan merupakan pedagang kecil dan menjajakan barang dagangannya dengan cara membuat lapak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bentuk adaptasi perilaku pedagang pada area dagangnya, sehingga memperkuat terbentuknya teritori ruang dagang bazar. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Selanjutnya data diidentifikasi, dikategorikan dan diinterpretasikan untuk menemukankan faktor-faktor, serta keterkaitan antar faktor yang melatarbelakangi adaptasi perilaku hingga terwujudnya teritori ruang dagang bazar tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perilaku pedagang; berjalan keliling, duduk di sela-sela barang dagang atau duduk di salah satu sisi tatanan barang yang dijualnya. Bentuk adaptasi tersebut dipengaruhi adanya fleksibilitas perilaku pedagang sebagai upaya adaptasi terhadap ruang dagang yang tersedia, dengan tetap mempertimbangkan kemampuan mengontrol, mengawasi dan berkomunikasi dengan pengunjung, sebagai upaya memperkuat terwujudnya teritori ruang dagang bazar di Tangerang Selatan. Kata kunci: Adaptasi, Pedagang Bazar, Perilaku, Teritori ABSTRACT. Bazaar has become the main interest for the people of South Tangerang. It is increasingly visited by the people, widespread, and also growing. The bazaar has a regular schedule using moveable stalls; in front of houses, on the open space within the residential area, on the sidewalk, and at the storefront. However, the Sellers are not fighting over the venue and they are able to execute their selling activities in a different location. The sellers are mostly small-scale sellers, and they peddle their wares by making stalls. The study aims to determine the way of adapting behavior from the sellers using moveable stall method. Thus it can strengthen the formation of the bazaar trading space. The research method is descriptive qualitative using observation and interviews. Furthermore, the data were already identified, categorized and interpreted for finding the factors as well as the relationship among the factors behind the establishment of the territory behavioral adaptations to the bazaar trading space. The results showed that the behavior of the sellers was; moving around and sitting in between or aside their selling goods. Those adaption behavior were influenced by their flexibilities in adapting to available stall space with taking into account the ability to control and monitor their stalls as well as communicate with visitors as the effort to strengthen the realization of trading fairs territorial space in South Tangerang. Perception of bazaar markets in the future is not real without usage of integrated marketing communications in comuniaction with costumers. IMC enable for bazaars to make an efficient contact with consumers and other public, for the purpise of fullfiling busines aims of bazaars on market. Research results show that the efficiency of bussines is manifested in tactical integrated marketing communications. By experience method and methods of marketing research, we came to conclusion that integrated marketing communications may promote bazaars on the market using sinergy of different instruments. The conclusion is that IMK are much cheaper in comparison to mass comunications and ti is possible to promote bazaars on the market and stress their social role, using IMK.

The model of development for Ottoman-style cities in the territory of Kosova from the 15th century to the first decade of the 20th century revolved around a distinctive triad: the local market, the mosque, and the bazaar. In the early periods of ottoman rule, mosques were strategically built in places where there was local market. This was done intentionally, since these were places where a significant number of people gathered. The bazaars and other type of buildings, as part of the mosque complexes, played an important role in the formation and development of cities during the Ottoman period as well. Thus, directly impacting the formation and growth of cities. Among these elements, the bazaars held a special significance, as they became the reference point of cities. And this was due, mainly because of their character, which was of craft, commercial and economic importance. The bazaars were more than just places of trade; they became emblematic reference points for cities, drawing local citizens and people from surrounding regions, who integrated these bustling spaces into their daily lives. In addition to their economic and commercial functions, the bazaars held immense historical, social, and cultural importance. As the centuries passed, living and engaging with the bazaars became inseparable from the life of Kosovar cities, and these spaces became an integral part of the collective memory and identity of the inhabitants. Throughout the centuries, the bazaars in Kosova became inseparable from daily life, contributing to the region's unique charm and heritage. However, this rich historical fabric has suffered significant losses as many bazaar shops fell victim to destruction. The destruction occurred over time due to exposure to the natural elements and human interventions, but there were also cases of intentional and planned destruction. These intentional and systematic destructions started immediately after the conquest of Kosova by Serbia in 1912. Urban and spatial plans as well as various military armaments during the Albanian-Serbian war in Kosova from 1998 to 1999 were responsible for deliberate and systematic mass destruction of the bazaars. Although, the types and methods of destruction varied, the underlying purpose remained consistent. This was done with the aim to destroy, the cultural, social, and economic significance of the bazaars, to change the physiognomy structure, and style of the old traditional cities in Kosova. Thus, by destroying Albanian tangible and intangible heritage and replacing it with the conqueror's creations, the conquerors sought to erase the cultural identity and history of the local autochthonous population. This study aims to explore the motives, methods, and intentions behind the targeted bazaar destruction, drawing upon relevant documents, past evidence, and available literature. By understanding the reasons behind such destructive actions, it becomes possible to preserve and safeguard the remaining bazaar heritage and restore a sense of continuity with the past. Through this research, we can shed light on the historical, cultural and social values of these bazaars, emphasizing the importance of their conservation, protection, and promotion for future generations. By safeguarding these heritage sites, Kosova can maintain a link to it's past and continue to celebrate the legacy of its ancestors, fostering a deeper sense of identity and pride among its inhabitants.

U radu razmatram filozofijsku poziciju Alberta Bazale, za koju predlažem obuhvatan naziv »umjereni iracionalizam«. Naime, nastojim pokazati kako je Bazala za »metalogički korijen filozofije« koristio različite izraze, pa se time nameću i nazivi različiti od »voluntarističkog aktivizma«, kako se običava nazivati stajalište tog filozofa. Isto tako, tvrdim da je njegov projekt primarno negativan, u smislu da mu je cilj prije svega pružiti otpor isključivo intelektualističkom poimanju svijesti i svijeta. Kako bih opravdao umjerenost Bazalina iracionalizma, upućujem na mjesta na kojim Bazala ističe ulogu i nužnost razuma i logike u filozofijskoj i znanstvenoj spoznaji. Pritom ipak naglašavam kako se za Bazalu u osnovi sveg duhovnog života nalaze izvanrazumski faktori, bez kojih čovjeku zapravo i nema autentične egzistencije. Bazalinu umjerenost u iracionalizmu potkrepljujem i usporedbom njegove filozofije s onom L. E. J. Brouwera, osnivača matematičkog intuicionizma. Tvrdim kako se Bazalino stajalište dade jasno distingvirati od Brouwerova, pri čem je potonji kudikamo radikalniji u svom otporu razumu. Cilj je rada doprinijeti blagonaklonijem poimanju iracionalizma i pokazati kako otpor intelektualnom ne mora nužno značiti sumanutost ili proizvoljnost, već naprotiv, da može predstavljati i koherentnu, ali i živu, životnu i životvornu poziciju, čega je primjer upravo Bazalina filozofija.

The notion of the ‘sharing economy’ has recently received significant academic and non-academic attention. What the different debates have in common is an emphasis on how technologically mediated knowledge and specific social motivations enable practices of sharing. This article discusses knowledge and sharing in popular marketplaces. Based on an ethnography of Delhi’s electronic bazaars, Lajpat Rai market, Palika Bazaar and Nehru Place, this article suggests ways to think about knowledge that are embodied and practice-based: What is such embodied knowledge? How is it created and shared? The article argues that bazaars combine sociality established through face-to-face bargaining with informal trade arrangements to enable co-creation and collaboration around technological products. The resulting knowledge is tacit in nature and is mimetically transmitted between bodies. As a result, the bazaars feature a kind of sharing that is distinct from what is understood by most accounts of the sharing economy.

By choosing the bazaar at colonial Cuttack for a narrative of ‘recreation, social interaction, transport and economic activity’, the present article draws on Dipesh Chakrabarty and Anand Yang’s bazaar studies in South Asia. For Chakrabarty, the bazaar was an arena of evolving contest between modernity and tradition, while Anand Yang sees it as a place where people increasingly acquire notions of identity and community. The present study, concentrating on a provincial town, seeks to combine both perspectives and to provide a wider perception of bazaar as a site of compressed display of an area’s way of life, being a place of exchange and negotiation and of circulation and redistribution—in short, of extra-community or supra-community connections and institutions. In such a situation, the image of bazaar/market, as it emerges, goes much beyond the one conceived by Christopher Bayly for the bazaars in the cities of early colonial North India as an inert place where everything seemed to be peaceful with little conflicts, a respectable and orderly autonomous place than a place of contest and competition.

The present study was conducted to know the chemical qualities and adulteration of fresh raw milk collected from local markets (Bhangnamari bazaar, Sutiakhali bazaar, Vabokhali bazaar, Shombhuganj bazaar and Mymensingh sadar bazaar) of Mymensingh sadar, Bangladesh. Milk samples were analyzed for chemical parameters (contents of acidity, total solids, solids-not-fat, fat, protein and ash) and adulteration (presence of formalin, sugar or starch). Also, lactometer reading was recorded to monitor the specific gravity of the collected milk samples. Result showed that the specific gravity of milk from different sources differed non-significantly. The total solids, fat and protein contents of all the samples were in normal range except the milk fat content collected from Shombhuganj bazaar (32.66±4.04 g/Kg) and Mymensingh sadar bazaar (30.66±4.51 g/Kg) which had less (p<0.01) than the minimum legal standard of milk fat (35.00 g/Kg). The solids-not-fat content of the milk samples collected from Bhangnamari bazaar (72.93±8.78 g/Kg) and Vabokhali bazaar (79.33±6.81 g/Kg) were less than that from Mymensingh sadar bazaar (95.67±11.72 g/Kg). Developed acidity was detected in the samples from Bhangnamari bazaar (0.180±0.03), Sutiakhali bazaar (0.187±0.04%) and Mymensingh sadar bazaar (0.180±0.02%), while other samples were found to the fresh (0.150-0.157%). All of the adulteration tests showed negative results. The results suggested that though there were some fluctuations in quality among the bazaars regarding the standard of parameters, the raw milk samples were of acceptable quality.Bang. J. Anim. A city usually has its own identity and cultural uniqueness with the markers of identity perhaps varying among museums, monuments, temples, theatre buildings, handcraft and traditional shops/markets and night bazaars and historical heritage sites, to mention a few. It is very common for cities in mainland Southeast Asia, like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phnom Penh, Luang Prabang and Hanoi to have handcraft markets/shops as well as night bazaars selling various handcrafts attributed to one ethnic group or another. Those handcraft shops/markets and night bazaars are often at least partly related to the promotion of tourism. However, they do not only exist for the sake of tourism, since the promotion of cultural uniqueness as the identity of a city is related to the feeling of pride and the very soul of the city. This paper will discuss the existing handcraft markets/shops and night bazaar in Chiang Mai (Thailand) as important elements of the city’ s icons and the Hanoi Old Quarter, a historical heritage area in Hanoi, where handcraft shops, night market, cafés and many more venues are integral to the identity of Hanoi. The fieldwork was conducted in Chiang Mai in 2004, 2005, 2009 and 2016 for a few days and in Hanoi in 2006, 2017, 2018 for a few days, especially using qualitative research. The discussion is divided into three parts: the First, giving a brief review of the identity of a city; the Second, touching on the issue of how the handcraft shops and the Night Bazaar in Chiang Mai are seen as the city icons; and Finally, the shaping of the Hanoi Old Quarter as Hanoi’s cultural icon/identity.

The study was conducted to determine the fish retailer’s livelihood and socio-economic status in three markets of Jashore for a period of six months from February to August, 2016. The average net profit of fish retailers was found higher in Boro bazaar (Tk.350) followed by Palbari bazaar (Tk.325), Chuadanga Bus Stand bazaar (TK.275). The average age groups of 20-65 years were found among the markets. The study shows that 53% fish retailers had nuclear family and 47% had joint family. Most of the housing conditions were kacha (69%) and Muslim fish retailers were predominant in all markets. Among the total 45 traders interviewed, 42% were illiterate, 31% have primary level education, 24% have secondary level education and none of them had bachelor level of education. It was found that fish retailers of Boro bazaar and Palbari bazaar sold an average of 35 kg fish daily, compared with Chuadanga Bus Stand bazaar 15 kg per day. The daily supply of fish in Boro bazaar can be estimated at 1.6 MT (25 retailers’ × 65 kg) while 0.3 MT (15 retailers × 20 kg) and 0.45 MT (15 retailers × 30 kg) in C.B Bazar and Palbari bazaar respectively. Improvement in basic infrastructure such as, clean water supply, sanitation facilities, adequate drainage and ice facilities are recommended by the present study.

This study aims to make students have an independent character, discipline and responsibility in the digital era through the Monthly Bazaar. The method used in this research was Mixed Method with a sequential exploratory strategy. The sequential exploratory strategy involves collecting and analyzing quantitative data in the second stage based on the results of the first stage. Weights / priorities are more likely to be in the first stage, and the mixing process between these two methods occurs when the researcher makes a connection between qualitative data analysis and quantitative data collection. The results of the study were obtained from qualitative data analysis in the first stage and quantitative data in the second stage. The results of the first stage were obtained from educators' observations of students after completing the monthly bazaar. The results of the second stage are obtained through calculations using a Likert scale and it is obtained the data of 43.75% (ever) if it is categorized in interpretation of scores based on intervals. This data was obtained before the implementation of the monthly bazaar. After implementing the monthly bazaar for two times, the data is 72.75% (often). From the two stages, the relevant results obtained between qualitative and quantitative data analysis showed that there was an independent character, discipline and responsibility embedded in students after the implementation of the monthly bazaar activities.

Abstract Dirk Boer (1803–1877) contributed to the popularization of Japanese and Chinese art in The Netherlands. He is best remembered for his ‘Groote Koninklijke Bazar’ or Grand Royal Bazaar which, during the nineteenth century, had an international reputation for exhibiting and selling Japanese and Chinese products, alongside a much wider and more diverse selection of goods. In this study, some of Dirk Boer’s earlier achievements and activities pre-dating the Groote Koninklijke Bazar will be discussed and Boer’s Chinese and Japanese Panorama will be highlighted as an illustration of the interest in China and Japan in The Netherlands during the 1830s. Contemporary reports are discussed with a view to establishing something of Boer’s Panorama’s physical appearance and popularity. Analogies will be drawn to similar exhibitions, cosmoramas and panoramas, both in Britain and The Netherlands.

Every year there are reports of food poisoning involving food sold at the Ramadan bazaar and one of the causes of food poisoning is Bacillus cereus. This study aimed to determine the contamination level of B. cereus and the antimicrobial susceptibility profile of the isolates in food sold at Ramadan bazaar in Kuching, Sarawak. A total of 155 samples from five food categories were collected from six Ramadan bazaars in three locations around Kuching. Overall, 32 (21%) food samples were found positive for B. cereus. Cooked rice showed the least satisfactory levels of B. cereus among the food categories and nasi lemak was the type of food that highly contaminated with B. cereus. Antibiotic susceptibility assessment showed that B. cereus isolates were highly resistant to ampicillin, amoxicillin/clavulanic, penicillin and cefotaxime in this study. The findings of this study showed that B. cereus has the potential to cause food poisoning to Ramadan bazaar consumers due to the high mean count in some types of food. Therefore, this study can be used as basic data for B. cereus control measures in food sold at the Ramadan bazaar.

This short paper explores the history of these community archives events, and describes the creation, challenges and outcomes of hosting the inaugural 2017 Houston Archives Bazaar.

Around the world, beef is consumed as a healthy source of protein, fat, niacin, vitamins B6, B12, iron, zinc, and phosphorus. There is mounting evidence that beef is becoming increasingly contaminated with heavy metals, particularly lead (Pb) and chromium (Cr). The purpose of this study was to determine the amounts of the lead (Pb) and chromium (Cr) in beef. Five large markets in Dhaka city—Mirpur-1, New Market, Karwan Bazar, Kaptan Bazar, and town hall market of Mohammadpur—were chosen to gather samples of beef. In this study, the Pb and Cr content in beef was estimated by the Zeeman method using graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometer (GFAAS). The microwave digester finished the digestion of beef. The Pb and Cr content in beef were estimated in mg/kg. Total lead (Pb) content in a beef sample of Mirpur -1, New Market, Karwan Bazar, Kaptan Bazar and Mohammadpur was found to be 0.563±0.084, 0.845±0.127, 0.159±0.024, 0.063±0.009 and 0.143±0.021 mg/kg respectively (Minimum detection limit is 0.06 mg/kg). On the other hand, total chromium (Cr) content in beef sample from Mirpur -1 was found below the detection limit of the method (Minimum detection limit is 0.05 mg/kg). The Cr content in beef from New market, Karwan Bazar, Kaptan bazaar and Mohammadpur was found to be 0.05±0.007, 0.052±0.008, 0.121±0.018 and 0.053±0.008 mg/kg respectively. According to Codex Alimentarium Commission (CAC), the acceptable limit of lead content in beef is 0.1 mg/kg and there is no standard for chromium set by international organization like WHO/FAO, CAC. Brazil has set 0.1 mg/kg as permissible chromium content in beef (Ihedioha et al., 2014). Except for Kaptan Bazar, the chromium content was found to be within Brazil's permissible limit. The increasing use of digital payments to boost online sales, including social media marketing on Facebook and YouTube, has also brought many of them inside a banking system. As a result, physical bazaars are now less about informal face-to-face commerce and operate more as repair hubs and ancillaries to a platform economy.
