Abstract:
In this thesis, the researcher considers a time-varying millimeter wave multiple-input single-output system, where several different training beam sequence designs that are suitable for different beam tracking scenarios have been proposed. In the case where the codebook-based training beams are used, the researcher firstly introduces a power-based estimator to update the stale angle-of-departure (AoD) in each beam tracking period when the beam codebook is a unitary matrix. Moreover, the power-based estimator is also extended to the case where the codewords constituting the beam codebook are no
