Abstract:
The present work gives the results of the hydrobiological research of the middle course of the Bečva River in the river section between Valašské Meziříčí and Přerov, carried out in the years 2004 to 2007. Altogether, 65 taxa of macrozoobenthos were determined in the period 2000-2007 in the middle course of the Bečva River : Coelenterata (1 taxon), Oligochaeta (5 taxa), Hirudinea (3 taxa), Gastropoda (4 taxa), Isopoda (1 taxon), Amphipoda (2 taxa), Hydracarina (1? taxon), Ephemeroptera (7 taxa), Plecoptera (1 taxon), Odonata (3 taxa), Heteroptera (1 taxon), Megaloptera (1 taxon), Trichoptera (9 taxa), Coleoptera (3 taxa), Diptera (23 taxa). The number of zoobenthos taxa fell in the period 2004–2007 in comparison to period 2000–2002 from 51 taxa to 40 taxa. The decline of zoobenthos taxa was registered on study localities, as follows : Choryně (from 28 to 23 taxa), Hustopeče (from 27 to 25 taxa), Rybáře (from 35 to 28 taxa), Grymov (from 31 to 25 taxa). Average saprobity index of benthic community of the middle course of the Bečva River was 2.35. Average saprobity indices of monitored localities towards downstream were as follows: Choryně 2.41; Hustopeče 2.25; Rybáře 2.40; Grymov 2.34.

Abstract:
Fish communities of the Bečva River were studied in summer and autumn 2000 and 2001. Electric fishing gear (Honda EX 1000, DC 230 V, 0.75–0.9 kW) was used for sampling. Four sampling sites (Grymov 19.6 r. km, Rybáře 35.8 r. km, Hustopeče 50.7 and Choryně 54.7 r. km) were selected. Total of 23 fish species representing 5 families were determined. The family Cyprinidae with 15 species was dominant while Salmonidae, Balitoridae, Percidae and Gadidae were the other recorded families. Species diversity ranged from 9 at Hustopeče to 20 at Grymov localities. The lowest biomass and abundance were observed at Hustopeče locality (28.93 kg/ha and 336 fishes/ha) and the highest at Choryně locality (612.90 kg/ha and 7 367 fishes/ha). Barbus barbus, Chondrostoma nasus and Leuciscus cephalus contributed 87.73–97.55% and 60.5%–87% to total biomass and abundance in different samplings, respectively. The Chondrostoma nasus population was dominated by fish of total length over 300 mm. We believe that river fragmentation, trapping and blockade of fish are the main reasons for this irregular distribution. Index of diversity ranged from 0.811 to 2.05 and equitability index from 0.449 to 0.821. Physical and chemical parameters were also measured, pH value ranged from 7.8 to 9.8, DO (7.62–12.15 mg/l), conductivity (450–639 µS/cm), N-NH4 (0.65–2.39 mg/l), P-PO4 (0.12–0.68 mg/l)and alkalinity (2.55 to 3.40 mg/l).

Abstract:
In the years 1999–2001 early stadiums of succession development of a floodplain forest were monitored in the wide bed of the Bečva River formed during the floods in 1997. Changing site conditions were investigated and the vegetation of pebble beds was repeatedly mapped in detail. In dependence on the site conditions main types of biotopes were described. The vegetation data were evaluated in accordance with the life form and ecological claims of the identified species. The results indicated an increasing differentiation of the originally relatively homogeneous environment owing to fluvial processes and progress of vegetation. Generally hemicryptophytes and hemiheliophytes were thriving above all, the dominance of Phalaris arundinacea was still growing. As for the woody species, especially willows asserted themselves from the beginning, solitarily and weaker in vitality representatives of other genera were present at drier sites. The identified specimen of Myricaria germanica was probably planted artificially. As concerns neophytes, only Reynoutria japonica was spreading significantly but in a very uneven way. Generally, this development of similar communities only little documented in this region corresponds to STG Saliceta fragilis inf.

Abstract:
The paper deals with the examination of physical and mechanical properties of subfossil wood of oak (Quercus, sp.). The issue of establishing physical and mechanical properties of subfossil oak wood has not yet been addressed in the area of the Czech Republic. The main objective is to find out what changes to subfossil wood properties have occurred in comparison with recent wood. For these purposes, samples from three locations were taken (gravel pit Tovačov – district Přerov, gravel pit Kostomlátky – district Nymburk, and the Bečva basin near Osek nad Bečvou). All of the selected properties were tested in compliance with relevant valid Czech technical norms (ČSN). The results provide us with a realistic picture of the properties of wood that has been deposited under the ground in very specific conditions for thousands of years. With regard to density, the results do not show any definite changes. The dimensions of subfossil wood are approximately doubled in comparison with recent wood. On the other hand, there is an obvious decrease in mechanical properties. The paper also offers the results of dendrochronological or radiocarbon dating of the trunks.

The main goal of this thesis is to prove the suitability of the chosen locality called “Na Marku“ for building of a new object – the City Library in Přerov. The project shows one of the possible solutions, which takes into account keeping part of the archeological findings in this locality and its access to the public. As the building would be located on the banks of the river Bečva, organic materials have been suggested for the building, which would harmonize with the river and the town.

Abstract:
The newbuild library is situated close to the bank of the river Bečva in the historical part of the town. The library is a place to save the values of knowledge, culture and the era itself. It should be strong and durable. It should last for centuries and saveguard its fragile content. However, it should also be an open place for people because information itself is worthless without the human mind to interact with. The contrast of openness and seclusion is expressed not only by shape of the structure but also its facade. The whole building is center-oriented – to the central hall, which is surrounded by books. Secluded volume of the hall is accessed via opening to the library's foreground.

Abstract:
The topic of this master's thesis is the revitalization of the former Spartakiad stadium. Nowadays it functions as a sports complex Ohrada, which is in neglected condition and not widely used. The area is located at the southern edge of the city Vsetín and is defined by a 1st class road from the northeast, Vsetínská Bečva from the western and agricultural areas from the southern side. Above Bečva, the Bečevná hill rises and together they create a pleasant, out-of-town atmosphere with a great potential. The priority of the proposal was to create an attractive place with a variety of sports and recreational activities for all ages. However, at the beginning it was necessary to somehow insulate the area from the overpass. Therefore a sports and recreation facility was designed at the entrance to the area - it copies the shape of the road and forms an imaginary entrance gate to the zone. A car park was designed under the overpass, so the rest of the area remained exclusively for pedestrians. Sufficient distances among the individual sports grounds are supplemented by recreational areas of greenery. Most playgrounds are designed as multi-purpose, for greater variability of the territory. The buildings have a maximum of two floors and they are located in a way not to disturb the views of the recreational areas. They contain sports facilities as well as a wide range of interior activities. Three materials are used on all the buildings - wood, steel and glass, complemented by neutral white plaster. Therefore, the area operates in a comprehensive and uniform manner.

This master's thesis consists of three main parts. The first section describes some types of fish crossings and basic information of their design. There is also marginally described program HEC-RAS. The second part is about the Zuberská weir and Osek stage. I review here fish ladders according to the original drawings in the HEC-RAS and suggest possible options to address these passable fish crossings for the fish crew. The last section is devoted to Mikulenkov weir where the fish crossing has been completely removed. Here I propose a new fish ramp according to modern knowledge and applicable standards. I also review the proposed fish ramp in the HEC-RAS program in order to verify the hydraulic characteristics.

Abstract:
The planned construction of Oder-Danube canal was one of the largest activities, which led to the realization of research projects, which also included construction of boreholes for monitoring groundwater levels. Hydropedological profiles (HP) consist of boreholes, which are situated usually across the route of the canal and across longitudinal axis of valleys or flat Moravian hollows. They belong to basins of Oder, Bečva, Dyje (Thaya) and Morava rivers. First observations started back in 1933, subsequent followed after 1940. Nowadays these objects serve for obtaining general idea about the groundwater regime in valley profiles of these rivers. From geological perspective, these HP profiles are in an area of Quaternary sediments. Groundwater level monitoring at HP is important especially because of relating the profile to a particular watercourse and duration of the continuous monitoring. It can be used for determination of hydraulic link between surface water and groundwater. These values can be very useful especially in the determination of spread of potential groundwater pollutants via surface waters. Aim of the work is to assess course of groundwater levels at the Ladná profile of interest and to evaluate the effect of river engineering of the Dyje River on the groundwater regime, taking into account the drought period. Next aim of the work was to show the relationship with surface waters and evaluate the relationship between individual boreholes and the watercourse in the entire profile. In addition, long-term data series of groundwater level monitoring were used to perform evaluation of course of groundwater levels during various time periods, in particular during the individual reference periods, as specified by the CHMI, i.e. 1931-1960, 1931-1980 and the current reference period 1981-2010. Subsequently, the period 1991-2018 was also analyzed as a period associated with the current situation and finally also the entire period of monitoring, i.e. 1948-2018, a total of 70 years.
