Background:
Bee stings can lead to mild to severe allergic reaction . Serious complications of bee stings include hypersensitivity to the venom, which can develop after a single sting, and acute renal failure which has been reported mostly secondary of intravascular hemolysis developing after multiple bee stings. We report here a child who developed multiorgan system involvement.
Case presentation: A-3 years-old-girl was admitted to Kariadi Hospital with multiple bee stings and referred due to acute kidney injury stage failure by local hospital. Clinical finding were anasarca edema

In most cases, the number of honeybee stings received by the body is generally small, but honeybee stings can still cause serious allergic reactions. This study fully simulated bee stings under natural conditions and used 1H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H NMR) to analyze the changes in the serum metabolome of Sprague–Dawley (SD) rats stung once or twice by honeybees to verify the impact of this mild sting on the body and its underlying mechanism. Insect stings belonging to Hymenoptera defined as wasps, yellow jackets, bees, or hornets by human usually result in unserious clinical pictures that go with pain. Rhabdomyolysis following a bee sting is a rare condition. This paper emphasizes “rhabdomyolysis” as a rare complication of this frequently observed envenomation. Rare but severe clinical results may occur due to multiple bee stings, such as intravascular hemolysis, rhabdomyolysis, acute renal insufficiency, and hepatic dysfunction. In bee stings as in our case, clinicians should be alert for rhabdomyolysis in cases with generalized

Here we report the cases of five patients with a late onset of acute urticaria after a bee sting. The ages of the five Japanese patients ranged from 33 to 86 years (median: 61). All patients had no history of an allergic reaction to bee stings. The onset of urticaria was 6–14 days (median: 10) after a bee sting. Although four of the patients did not describe experiencing a bee sting at their presentation, the subsequent examination detected anti-bee-specific IgE antibodies. So, we think a history of a bee sting should thus be part of the medical interview sheet for patients with acute urticari

Readings arising out of the philosophy of phenomenology, among other areas of thought, are more useful as a way to understand and capture this. Abstract:
Steam injection into the combustion chambers of gas turbines (GT) increases their power output. Additionally, the thermal efficiency can be raised, if steam is generated by exhaust heat. The types of steam injected gas turbines (STIG) are distinguished according to the kind of limit to the amount of steam that can be injected. A gas turbine is called partial STIG, if it cannot utilize the total amount of steam that could be generated by the gas turbine exhaust heat. The limit is given by the flow capacity of the turbine. If, on the other hand, the gas turbine is sized such that the entire amou

Surgical needles are commonly used by medical professionals to reach target locations inside of the body for disease diagnosis or other medical interventions — such as biopsy, brachytheraphy, thermal ablation, and drug delivery [1, 2]. The effectiveness of these procedures depends on the accuracy with which the needle tips reach the targets, such as tumors or certain organs/tissues. In procedures, such as deep brain stimulation and prostate brachytheraphy, it is impossible to reach the surgical sites via simple needle trajectory because of anatomical constraints. Autoimmune diseases occur when the immune cells react against self antigens and subsequently lead to inflammation in the tissues. The interactions between genetics and environmental triggers regulate the phenotypes and outcome of the diseases. Type I interferon has been shown as one of the most crucial cytokines involving in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). SLE is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease which can result in autoantibody production and fatal glomerulonephritis. Activation via nucleic acid sensors can

Abstract:
The brown marmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys, a severe pest of Asian origin, has spread to Europe, North America and South America, causing significant damage to fruits, vegetables and nuts. Chemical control methods are often ineffective due to the high mobility, broad host range and resilience of the pest. Biological control, particularly using egg parasitoids, presents a promising long-term solution. The egg parasitoid Trissolcus japonicus is considered the most promising candidate for biological control, with adventive populations found in Europe and North America showing varying level

Abstract:
The predictive power of short-term forecasting models was impaired by the increased volatility observed in most economic indicators following the outbreak of COVID-19. This paper sets out a revision of the Spain-STING model (one of the tools used by the Banco de España for short-term forecasts of quarter-on-quarter GDP growth) with a view to improving its predictive power in the wake of the pandemic. In particular, the revision entails three main changes: (i) the correlation between the indicators included in the model and the estimated common component is now coincident for all of the indicat

Abstract:
Although knowledge about HIV/AIDS is widespread in South Africa, adult HIV prevalence is high, indicating high levels of risky sexual behavior. Understanding the gap between knowledge and behavior requires an examination of the social context in which the epidemic occurs. The Horizons Program conducted an intervention study in the Carletonville area to study the social determinants of the HIV epidemic and to assess the impact of a targeted program of HIV and STI prevention and service delivery. Reasoned triage and management of live large whale stranding events prompted this workshop. Safety is paramount for humans and must be mitigated for them and whales during responses. Clinical assessment is critical, with emaciation and poor prognosis often worsening welfare if released. Accurate length and estimated weight data are essential. Supportive care and treatments depend on understanding the underlying pathophysiology of stranding. Maintaining an airway, monitoring breathing, minimizing stress, protecting eyes, modulating temperature, and preventing sunburn are priorities. Additional

The nascent work reviewed in this compendium indicates that married girls experience significant social isolation and limited autonomy. Across the studies examined, on indicators of mobility, exposure to media, and social networks, married girls are consistently disadvantaged compared to their unmarried peers. Similarly, across studies, on most of the domains explored here (mobility, decision-making, control over economic resources, and possibly gender-based violence), married girls tend to be less empowered and more isolated than slightly older married females.
