Abstract:
College students who do online learning will certainly feel different from conventional learning experiences, especially at the beginning level college students. They have discussions every week and work on assignments. Current learning is risky with plagiarism. In addition, there are still college students who do not know how to take part in online learning properly. Based on simple observations, they do not pay attention to the rules of working on discussions or assignments so well that a guide is needed in conducting online learning through community service activities. Our community service program in the field of education is to create video Online Learning Guides. This video consists of a Brief Overview of Online Learning, Work on Assignments, Search for Reference Lecture Assignments, Writing Quotations and Bibliography, and Collecting Assignments. After this video has been completed, we will request comments from college students in the 2020 period based on good video media criteria. The selection of respondent samples will be conducted at UPBJJ Universitas Terbuka Jakarta, Palembang and Mataram. Abstract:
Abstract: Grammar is a basic reference for foreign language learners to communicate orally properly and correctly. The lack of oral communication skills using a foreign language, namely Japanese, is caused by most of the tour guides learning Japanese on a self-taught basis, so that the understanding of the importance of applying grammar in communicating is minimal. This greatly impacts the quality of interaction with tourists. Due to the importance of lecturers and students implementing their roles based on the Tri dharma of higher education, community service activity were held in Bangli Regency with the aim that the special tour guides were able to communicate in accordance with Japanese grammar, so that they could provide services that were in line with the expectations of Japanese tourists. During the pandemic, service activities can be carried out online using the Zoom application. Although it is not carried out face-to-face, the special tourist guides are very enthusiastic about participating in the six-month training activities which are held every Sunday with two learning sessions. This is evidenced by the presence of participants from various tourism-aware groups in Bangli district in varying age ranges. They persisted in following the training until the end. Teaching modules that are arranged according to needs provide a change for tour guides in communicating using the right Japanese language. This condition is evidenced by the ability to answer questions and make sentences that are in accordance with grammar for the beginner level. By understanding proper grammar, messages can be conveyed properly and can implement oral communication ethics based on Japanese culture.

"Accuracy of Dental Implant Placement by a Novel In-House Model-Free and Zero-Setup Fully Guided Surgical Template Made of a Light-Cured Composite Resin (VARO Guide®): A Comparative In Vitro Study." Materials 14, no. 14 (2021): 4023. http://dx.doi.org/10.3390/ma14144023.

Full text
Abstract:
Background: This in vitro study mainly aimed to compare VARO Guide® to the surgical guide fabricated by CAD/CAM (NAVI Guide®) in terms of accuracy and efficacy of the implant surgery held in the dentiform model. Methods: Twenty surgeons, 10 dentists in the beginner group and 10 dentists in the expert group, participated in the study. Each surgeon conducted fully guided surgery in dentiform models twice, once with VARO Guide® (VG surgery) and the other time with a conventional type of templates, NAVI Guide® (NG surgery). Based on the superimposition of presurgical and postsurgical STL files, the positional deviations between the virtually planned and actually placed implants and the time spent on presurgical preparation and surgical procedures were estimated and compared. Results: All dimensional deviations were similar between the two groups (p > 0.05), and there was no significant difference between the expert and beginner groups regardless of the guide system. The total procedure time (mean (median)) of the VG surgery (26.33 (28.58) min) was significantly shorter than that of the NG surgery (378.83 (379.35) min; p < 0.05). While the time spent only for the fully guided implant surgery (from the start of the surgical guide sitting onto the dentiform model to the final installation of the implant fixture) was comparable (p > 0.05), the presurgical preparation time spent on virtual implant planning and surgical guide fabrication in the VG surgery (19.63 (20.93) min) was significantly shorter compared to the NG surgery (372.93 (372.95) min; p < 0.05). Conclusions: Regardless of experience, both VG and NG surgery showed reliable positional accuracy; however, the total procedure time and the preparation time were much shorter in the VG surgery compared to the NG surgery.

Abstract:
In recent years, quantum collision models, sometimes dubbed repeated interaction models, have gained much attention due to their simplicity and their capacity to convey ideas without resorting to technical complications typical of many approaches and techniques used in the field of open quantum systems. In this tutorial, we show how to use these models, highlighting their strengths and some technical subtleties often overlooked in the literature. We do this by deriving the Markovian master equation and comparing the standard collisional derivation with the standard microscopic one. We then use the collision model to derive the master equation of a two-level system interacting with either a bosonic or fermionic bath to give the reader a flavour of the real use of the model.

Drugs used to treat heart disease and heart failure are divided into categories depending on their mode of action. The three main groups are diuretics to remove excess fluid, positive inotropes to improve contractility, and neurohormonal inhibitors that prevent activation of compensatory mechanisms. Drugs used to treat arrhythmias are divided into those that target tachyarrhythmias, and those that act on bradyarrhythmias. All drugs used in cardiac patients can have adverse effects and so it is vital that veterinary nurses know how they work and how to monitor them.

Abstract:
Objective - To describe the key elements of cost effectiveness analysis (CEA) and demonstrate how such analysis may be used in the library environment.

Methods - The paper uses a step by step approach to walk the (non-economist) reader through the basics of conducting a cost effectiveness study. The key elements of a CEA are outlined using examples that illustrate how the analysis may be carried out in the library sector. A case study of a CEA in a hospital library is presented. The case study compares two library services, mediated searching and information skills training, to illustrate the application of CEA and highlight some of its limitations.

Results - CEA is a comparative analysis; its key elements include a study question that includes both costs and effectiveness; justification of the perspective the study; evidence of the effectiveness; comprehensive identification of all relevant costs and appropriate measurement of costs and effectiveness.

Conclusions - CEA enables comparison of services or interventions in terms of their costs and how effective they are. The results can be used to aid decision-making about service provision.

Abstract:
The 'Beginner's Guides' are an ongoing series of feature articles, each one covering a key technique and offering the scientifically literate, but not necessarily expert audience, a background briefing on the underlying science of a technique that is (or will be) widely used in molecular bioscience. The series will cover a mixture of techniques, including some that are well established amongst a subset of our readership but not necessarily familiar to those in different specialisms. This 'Beginner's Guide' covers nuclear magnetic resonance. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) provides a way to explore the 3D structures of macromolecules in much more biologically relevant conditions and does this by taking advantage of the quantum mechanical property of some nuclei---nuclear spin. Here, we discuss how nuclear spin can be harnessed to provide information on the 3D structure of macromolecules in solution and how new thinking is leading to a revolution in drug discovery.
