Abstract:
The goal of the present research is to determine the degree of correspondence between the observed behavior in an experiment and the attitudes expressed in a questionnaire administered after an experiment. To do so, we replicate Driskell and Mullen’s study using more data from multiple experiments and conduct more sophisticated analyses. The attitudinal measures are questionnaire items regarding study participants’ views of themselves, a partner, and their task performance, measured after interaction. The behavioral measure records the participants’ resistance to influence from their partners and is thought to reflect underlying expectations for competence. Using confirmatory factor analysis, we find that there is a strong relationship between attitude and behavior, such that they appear to represent a single construct. Implications of this finding for experimental methodology are discussed in support of more concise approaches.

Abstract:
Background: Mother-child interaction and spiritual well-being can influence child behavioral disorders by affecting the mother’s mental health. The present study was done to investigate the relationship between mother-child interaction and spiritual well-being and child behavioral disorders with the mediation of mental health in mothers of children with hearing impairment. Methods: The descriptive correlational study used a path analysis. The statistical population included 1580 mothers of children with hearing impairment in Tehran in 2019. The sample size was determined using Morgan’s sample size table. The samples were selected based on stratified random sampling. To collect the required data, 310 questionnaires based on the research variables were provided to the participants and a total of 284 questionnaires were analyzed following the elimination of incomplete questionnaires. The research instruments included the Behavior Disorders Questionnaire, the Child-Parent Interaction Questionnaire, the Spiritual Well-being Questionnaire, and the Mental Health Questionnaire. The proposed model was evaluated using path analysis by AMOS v. 24 software. Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between spiritual well-being and child behavioral disorders (P<0.01), mental health and child behavioral disorders (P<0.01), child-mother interaction and mental health (P<0.01), and spiritual well-being and mental health (P<0.01), but there was no a significant relationship between child-mother interaction and child behavioral disorders (P>0.05). Moreover, indirect paths of child-mother interaction and child behavioral disorders with a mediating role of mental health (P<0.01) and spiritual well-being and child behavioral disorders with a mediating role of mental health were significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, the proposed model had a good fit, and is an important step in identifying the factors affecting the child behavioral disorders of children with hearing impairment.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTBackground:Driving a car requires adapting one's behavior to current task demands taking into account one's capacities. With increasing age, driving-relevant cognitive performance may decrease, creating a need for risk-reducing behavioral adaptations. Three different kinds of behavioral adaptations are known: selection, optimization, and compensation. These can occur on the tactical and the strategic level. Risk-reducing behavioral adaptations should be considered when evaluating older drivers’ traffic-related risks. Methods:A questionnaire to assess driving-related behavioral adaptations in older drivers was created. The questionnaire was administered to 61 years older (age 65–87 years; mean age = 70.2 years; SD = 5.5 years; 30 female, 31 male) and 31 younger participants (age 22–55 years; mean age = 30.5 years; SD = 6.3 years; 16 female and 15 male) to explore age and gender differences in behavioral adaptations. Results:Two factors were extracted from the questionnaire, a risk-increasing factor and a risk-reducing factor. Group comparisons revealed significantly more risk-reducing behaviors in older participants (t(84.5) = 2.21, p = 0.013) and females (t(90) = 2.52, p = 0.014) compared, respectively, to younger participants and males. No differences for the risk-increasing factor were found (p > 0.05).Conclusions:The questionnaire seems to be a useful tool to assess driving-related behavioral adaptations aimed at decreasing the risk while driving. The possibility to assess driving-related behavioral adaptations in a systematic way enables a more resource-oriented approach in the evaluation of fitness to drive in older drivers.

Abstract:
The construct of behavioral undercontrol is often assessed as a potential risk factor in studies of health-risk behaviors, but few studies have examined psychometric properties of measures of behavioral undercontrol. The present study tested the factor structure of the Behavioral Undercontrol Questionnaire (BUQ), a 20-item self-report measure, across gender and racial/ethnic groups, using a college sample (N = 648). We hypothesized that the factor structure would vary by both gender and race/ethnicity. A single-factor solution was identified and confirmed within each group. However, analyses yielded differences across gender and racial/ethnic groups. Findings support the overall validity of the BUQ, but also suggest that caution should be exercised in making comparisons across gender and racial/ethnic groups. These data also highlight the importance of assessing the psychometric properties of measures of behavioral undercontrol and other externalizing constructs.

Abstract:
Behavioral problems of children with manifestations of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), are recorded by researchers in many countries as a common course of learning difficulties. The high incidence of ADHD raises the question of reliable ways to diagnose it. This article discusses a teacher’s questionnaire, aimed at assessing child behavior under school conditions. The questionnaire is an adapted Russian variant of the English questionnaire, designed within IPIPS project (International Performance Indicators in Primary School). Data-based assessment of first-grade Russian students from several regions of the country describes collecting evidences of reliability and validity of the questionnaire under consideration. Multi-stage validation study showed that the questionnaire could serve the adequate technique for recording possible problems in behavior associated with ADHD in primary school students.

Abstract:
The aim of this research was to canvass Saudi women’s opinions about behavioral beliefs, i.e., attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control on their behavioral intention and hence adopting the small business initiative. Following the descriptive method, adopting the planned behavior theory PBT, a questionnaire consisted of 15 items was adapted to measure the variables of the research, i.e., three predictors, which are attitudes toward the behavior, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control, one mediating variable, which is behavioral intent and one dependent variable, which is the actual behavior. The questionnaire was electronically administered. A total of 724 questionnaires was collected in 2019. The results indicated that attitudes towards the behavior, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control had significant effects on behavioral intention, which in turn affect the target behavior. Behavioral intention had shown a mediating effect on the relationship between predictors and the response variable. Consequently, decision-makers are required to conduct awareness campaigns in order to promote the involvement in small businesses in the community, raising women’s attitudes towards this type of business via success stories and full government support. Their perceived behavioral control can be enhanced through training to acquire business-related skills.

Abstract:
This research analyzes behavioral finance, especially the behavior of investors in Yogyakarta, Indonesia Region. The performance of investor behavior is examined based on the LQ 45 stocks return on Indonesia Stock Exchange and questionnaires that are spread out to five securities agents in Yogyakarta. The performance of LQ 45 stocks return is compared to the questionnaire analysis in the “Belief” part at the first and second stages. The first result shows that LQ 45 stocks are profitable. It can be seen from the average return of the stocks that it has positive value and is statistically identical with the LQ 45 index return. This result is in line with the investors’ opinion that LQ 45 stocks are profitable. The second result shows that most of LQ 45 stocks are profitable and give high return. But, this result is also contrary to the opinion of investors towards traditional finance paradigm that investors still believe “high risk – high return, low risk – low return”. Although most of LQ 45 stocks are considered as low risk stocks, many investors prefer to choose LQ 45 stocks. It means that the traditional finance paradigm has weakness. It is proven that investors sometimes act irrationally. The third and fourth stages of the study are aimed to analyze the relationship between feeling and belief towards frequency of transaction each day based on the questionnaire using regression analysis. The result shows that there is significant relationship between feeling and frequency of transaction each day.

Abstract:
Although several theories exist to describe why patients improve in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), in only a limited number of studies has CBT skill acquisition been examined, particularly among patients with complex clinical profiles. Thus, the overarching aim of this research was to develop a tool to measure patients’ use of CBT skills, such that it would have clinical utility for patients and therapists during treatment. In Study 1, the authors developed an initial set of items for the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Skills Questionnaire (CBTSQ). They submitted these items to an exploratory factor analysis in an initial administration ( n = 350) and to a confirmatory factor analysis in a second administration ( n = 378). Results indicated that there were two factors (Behavioral Activation and Cognitive Restructuring) with good factor structure and internal consistency, and both the factors evidenced expected relationships with other constructs. In Study 2, the criterion validity of the CBTSQ was investigated on a patient sample in a CBT-oriented treatment setting. Results showed that CBTSQ scores increased following treatment, and Cognitive Restructuring and Behavioral Activation scores predicted reduction of overall psychiatric symptoms and depression. Thus, the CBTSQ appears to be a promising measure of CBT skill acquisition and treatment outcome as well as an instrument that can help patients and therapists monitor progress specifically related to a CBT skills training treatment approach.

Abstract:
Gray's (1991) neurobiological systems–the behavioral approach system (BAS) and behavioral inhibition system (BIS)–have been operationalized by Carver and White (1994) in their BIS/BAS Questionnaire. In the present study, 129 undergraduate students completed the BIS/BAS Questionnaire, the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire–Revised (EPQ-R), and Zuckerman's Impulsive Sensation Seeking Scale. They also rated 72 paintings previously divided into two stylistic (Abstract and Traditional) and five content (Erotic, Pleasant, Neutral, Violent, Unpleasant) categories. As hypothesized, scores on the BIS were negatively associated with liking for Unpleasant and Violent paintings; scores on the BAS predicted liking for Pleasant and Neutral paintings, though this was due almost entirely to the BAS Reward Responsiveness sub-scale. Sensation Seeking, EPQ-R Psychoticism, and the BAS Fun-Seeking sub-scale predicted liking for Abstract stimuli, and disliking for Unpleasant and Violent paintings. Our results provide evidence that Gray's constructs can be usefully applied to the area of aesthetic preference.

Abstract. This study aims to investigate the longitudinal relationships between psychological variables and follow-up levels of fatigue, work and social adjustment, and psychological distress in people with rheumatic diseases. The study is a prospective observational study. Patients attending rheumatology outpatient appointments completed a questionnaire during their hospital visit and were mailed a follow-up questionnaire either at their next appointment or via postal questionnaire. Multivariate linear regression models examined the association between baseline cognitive behavioral responses, personality, social support and acceptance and follow-up levels of fatigue, work and social adjustment, and psychological distress, adjusting for age, gender, disease duration, and the length of time between baseline and follow-up. A total of 108 patients completed the follow-up questionnaires. The biggest predictors of having high levels of fatigue at follow-up were increased baseline damage beliefs and behavioral avoidance. Behavioral avoidance at baseline also had a strong relationship with worsened work and social adjustment at follow-up. The biggest predictor of psychological distress at follow-up was a lack of fatigue acceptance at baseline.

Abstract:
This study evaluated whether the High School Personality Questionnaire could reliably distinguish between groups of adolescents with under- and overcontrolled behavior as identified by DSM-III diagnoses. Clients for outpatient psychotherapy from a mental health agency completed these questionnaires at intake and were later assigned DSM-III diagnoses by their therapists without reference to the questionnaires. As predicted, subscales of the questionnaire reliably discriminated diagnostic groups; however, mean differences for the discriminating variables were small. While the High School Personality Questionnaire has limited utility in the diagnostic process with adolescents, it did provide information concerning potential strengths or behavioral assets.

The purpose of this research was to explain the role of emotion regulation strategies and behavioral activation system (BAS) in social adjustment of adolescents with conduct disorder. The method of study is descriptive-correlation. The statistical population included all junior high school students in Ardabil in 2016. The sampling was conducted by the multistage cluster method and then 50 subjects with conduct disorder were selected as the sample group using this method. Data of the present study were collected using Rutter behavioral disorders questionnaire (form B), students adjustment questionnaire, emotion regulation questionnaire and activation system and behavioral inhibition questionnaire. The obtained data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient test and regression analysis using SPSS software. The findings showed that there is a significant relationship between social adjustment and behavioral activation (BAS) and emotion regulation system (P<0.05). Also, the results of regression analysis showed that behavioral activation and emotion regulation system can significantly explain 16% variances in social adjustment of students with conduct disorders. Accordingly, it can be concluded that behavioral activation and emotion regulation system plays a role in social adjustment.

The present study explored the relationships between metacognitions, negative emotions, and procrastination. A convenience sample of 179 participants completed the following questionnaires: General Procrastination Scale, Decisional Procrastination Scale, Meta-cognitions Questionnaire 30, Penn State Worry Questionnaire and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale. A cross-sectional design was adopted and data analysis consisted of correlation and multiple regression analyses. One dimension of metacognitions was found to be positively and significantly correlated with behavioral procrastination. Four dimensions of metacognitions were found to be positively and significantly correlated with decisional procrastination. Positive and significant relationships were also observed between anxiety, depression and behavioral procrastination; and between anxiety, depression, worry, and decisional procrastination. Multiple regression analyses indicated that depression and beliefs about cognitive confidence independently predicted behavioral procrastination, and that depression and positive beliefs about worry independently predicted decisional procrastination. These preliminary results would seem to suggest that metacognitive theory may be relevant to understanding procrastination.

Abstract:
Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to compare prediction of physical activity (PA) by experiential or behavioral processes of change (POCs) or an interaction between both types of processes. Design: A cross-sectional study. Setting: This study was conducted using an online questionnaire. Participants: A total of 394 participants (244 women, 150 men), with a mean age of 35.12 ± 12.04 years and a mean body mass index of 22.97 ± 4.25 kg/m2 were included. Measures: Participants completed the Processes of Change, Stages of Change questionnaires, and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire to evaluate self-reported PA level (total, vigorous, and moderate PA). Analysis: Hierarchical multiple regression models were used to test the prediction of PA level. Results: For both total PA (β = .261; P < .001) and vigorous PA (β = .297; P < .001), only behavioral POCs were a significant predictor. Regarding moderate PA, only the interaction between experiential and behavioral POCs was a significant predictor (β = .123; P = .017). Conclusion: Our results provide confirmation that behavioral processes are most prominent in PA behavior. Nevertheless, it is of interest to note that the interaction between experiential and behavioral POCs was the only element predicting moderate PA level. Experiential processes were not associated with PA level.

This study aimed to analyze measurement invariance of the Behavioral Regulation Sports Questionnaire (BRSQ) across gender and four different sports. In addition, we examined nomological validity via basic psychological needs satisfaction. Participants totaled 1,812 Portuguese athletes (1,220 males and 592 females; aged 15–59 years, Mage = 17.72, SD = 5.51) from football ( n = 596), basketball ( n = 273), swimming ( n = 800), and parasport ( n = 143). The BRSQ measurement model was invariant across gender and these four sports. The scale confirmed nomological validity in that satisfaction of basic psychological needs positively predicted autonomous forms of motivation and negatively predicted more controlled motivation and amotivation as suggested by self-determination theory. In light of this evidence for BRSQ construct validity, composite reliability, nomological validity, and invariance across gender and four different sports, this scale is a useful tool for coaches of the aforementioned sports in their efforts to evaluate their athletes' motivation.

Abstract. The current paper reports the results of two randomized experiments designed to test the effects of questionnaire length on careless responding (CR). Both experiments also examined whether the presence of a behavioral consequence (i.e., a reward or a punishment) designed to encourage careful responding buffers the effects of questionnaire length on CR. Collectively, our two studies found (a) some support for the main effect of questionnaire length, (b) consistent support for the main effect of the consequence manipulations, and (c) very limited support for the buffering effect of the consequence manipulations. Because the advancement of many subfields of psychology rests on the availability of high-quality self-report data, further research should examine the causes and prevention of CR.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Introduction: The Behavioral Regulation in Sport Questionnaire (BRSQ) was originally proposed in English in order to identify sports motivation regulations according to the self-determination theory. Objectives: To translate into Portuguese, to perform cross-cultural adaptation, and to examine the psychometric properties of the BRSQ in a sample of young Brazilian athletes. Methods: The original version was translated according to international recommendations. A panel of judges analyzed the translated versions of the questionnaire, using semantic, idiomatic, cultural and conceptual equivalence as analysis criteria. The final version of the translated questionnaire was administered in a sample of 1217 young athletes (410 girls and 807 boys) aged 12 to 17 years. An exploratory factor analysis was carried out to identify initial psychometric properties, followed by a confirmatory factor analysis. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to assess the internal consistency of each factor associated with the BRSQ. Results: After minor changes identified in the translation process, the panel of judges was of the opinion that the Portuguese version of the BRSQ had semantic, idiomatic, cultural and conceptual equivalence. The factor analysis confirmed the structure of the eight factors proposed originally, through the statistical indicators χ2/gl = 1.87, CFI = 0.940, GFI = 0.945, AGFI = 0.958 and RMSR = 0.052 (95% CI 0.043 – 0.062). The Cronbach's alpha ranged from 0.71 to 0.85. Conclusions: Translation, cross-cultural adaptation and analysis of the psychometric qualities of the BRSQ were satisfactory, facilitating its application in future studies involving young athletes in Brazil. Level of Evidence III; Retrospective comparative study.

Abstract:
This research aims to assess the influence of restaurant customers' perceived crowdedness on their behavioral intentions. The data were collected via a questionnaire developed based on the literature. Obtained 459 questionnaires were analyzed using explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling methods. It was determined that perception of human crowdedness impacted behavioral intentions in a positive manner, while the perception of spatial crowdedness had a negative influence. Therefore, findings show that perceived human crowdedness does not influence affectivity, whereas spatial crowdedness has a negative effect on it.

Abstract:
AimThe aim is to analyse the frequency emotional and behavioural problems early adolescents and association with socio-demographic risk factors.Subject and methodsWe analysed a group of 240 early adolescents (11–15 years) from the area of Tuzla Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the general population. For the assessment of children's emotional and behavioural problems, the Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire – SDQ is used. Data were processed by descriptive statistics. For the assessment association between socio-demographic risk factors and emotional and behavioural problems in early adolescents we used Pearson correlation test.ResultsThe result show that the frequency of emotional and behavioural problems are present in 3% of cases, The results of correlation sociodemographic risk factors and emotional and behavioral problems, showed that unemployed mothers have a significant increased risk of developing behavioral disorders in early adolescents (P < 0.05). Low family economic status leads to a significantly higher frequency of emotional symptoms in early adolescents, poor attitude towards society and significantly higher overall difficulties (P < 0.05). Higher levels of parental education was significantly associated with a higher frequency of behavioral problems and illness in the family leads to a much more emotional problems (P < 0.05).ConclusionThe obtained results of this study indicate that early adolescents showed low levels of emotional and behavioral problems. There is a significant correlation between socio-demographic risk factors and emotional and behavioral problems early adolescents.Disclosure of interestThe author has not supplied his/her declaration of competing interest.

Abstract:
Abstract: The current study tries to replicate the psychometric results proposed by Moreno et al. (2007) for the Spanish Version of the Behavioral Regulation in Exercise Questionnaire-2 in Mexican university students. A total of 533 Mexican university students participated in this study (M = 20.99 and SD = 2.61 years). The factor structure of the questionnaire was conducted by confirmatory factor analyses, which showed a feasible and adequate four-factor structure. The four factors (intrinsic regulation, identified regulation, introjected regulation, and external regulation), attending to statistical and substantive criteria, have shown fit indices of reliability and validity; despite not fully coinciding with the model propose by Moreno et al., the obtained model continues giving support to the multifactorial component of motivation towards the exercise. Moreover, the factor structure, loads, and the intercepts were considered as invariables between women and men, obtaining differences in the punctuations of factor intrinsic regulation. Future research should replicate these findings in wider samples.

Abstract:
The life expectancy of dogs has increased in recent years, mainly due to intensified care by owners, through health care, nutrition, and wellness. Currently, we have a large population of elderly dogs and consequently, the development of age-related conditions, such as cognitive dysfunction syndrome (CDS). Thus, we aimed to identify signs compatible with canine CDS (CDS) in dogs, through investigation of daily behavioral changes. We collected data from review, interaction with other animals, and the behavior of dogs. An observational questionnaire was used to evaluate behavioral changes. The responses generated a summation of points for the classification of dogs with and without signs compatible with CCDS. We also evaluated the interference of behavioral changes in the cohabitation of the owner with his dog. Of the 178 dogs studied, 40 (22.4%) had signs compatible with CCDS, especially those aged ? 10 years (31.4%). There were no statistical correlations with variables of sex, reproductive status, size, and race. Statistical differences were observed regarding the frequency of behavioral changes between dogs with and without CCDS in relation to disorientation, activity, sleep/wake cycle, house/soil, and socioenvironmental interaction. The owners considered that dogs with CCDS alter their daily routine and were favorable to initiating treatment, although with reduced compliance for life-long medication. We conclude that dogs older than 10 years have signs compatible with CCDS regardless of race, sex, reproductive status, and size. They present changes mainly in behavior related to activity, socioenvironmental interaction, sleep/wake cycle, and house soil and, less frequently, the manifestation of disorientation.

Abstract:
We used the theory of planned behavior (Ajzen, 1991) to examine pedestrians' attitudes, behavioral intentions, and risk perceptions in relation to the possibility of sustaining an injury while crossing the road while in a fatigued compared to a nonfatigued state. Participants were 205 students who were randomly selected and divided into 2 groups. One group completed an attitudinal questionnaire about crossing the road in a fatigued state, a questionnaire about their perceptions of the risk of injury as pedestrians when crossing the road in a fatigued state, and a demographic questionnaire; the other group completed a questionnaire about their perceptions of the general risk of injury as pedestrians regardless of level of fatigue, and a demographic questionnaire. No difference was found between the groups in terms of their perceptions of the risk of injury as pedestrians whether in a fatigued state or not. However, it was found that gender did affect perception, with the average risk perception of females being significantly higher than that of males. A positive correlation was found between attitudes toward safety and subjective safety behavioral norms, and perceptions of the risk of injury as a pedestrian.

Abstract:
The article presents the results of elaboration of revised Russian version of the Preschool Behavior Questionnaire by L. Behar. Was drawn up a questionnaire for teachers and parents, as a result of task selection. This version includes 15 items which describe common emotional and behavioral problems of preschool children. Approbation of this version was realized in the sample of 480 children of the age of 3-6 years old, each of them was assessed by preschool teacher and mother. The results of confirmatory factor analysis confirm three factors structure of questionnaire, which include correlated factors of aggressiveness, anxiety and hyperactivity. The internal consistency of scales is good (Cronbach’s alpha are 0.71–0.85). The preliminary data proving validity of the aggressiveness and hyperactivity scales are obtained. The percentile norms for estimation of test results are provided. The obtained results lead us to conclusion that this questionnaire may be used for screening of emotional and behavioral problems in preschool children although validity of anxiety scale needs further research.

Abstract:
This study presents the creation of a measurement device to determine and define sustainability attitudes into identifiable sustainability segments. These segments were profiled with behavioral and sociodemographic data. Based on previous literature, key sustainability topics were identified from which a 31-item questionnaire was developed, the Five Factor Sustainability Scale (FFSS). With the FFSS, multiple domains of environmental sustainability can be assessed. We present results validating this measure using a factor–cluster segmentation approach in a nationally representative sample ( N = 508). Five sustainability factors emerged: (1) sustainable spending, (2) sustainable skepticism, (3) sustainable responsibility, (4) sustainable support, and (5) sustainable mobility. A cluster analysis on this sample yielded four segments in which people were grouped according to their sustainable attitudes: (1) Convinced Sustainers, (2) Sustainable Wannabes, (3) Sustainable Non-Believers, and (4) Non-Sustainers. Results linking these segments to behavioral and demographic data show discernable differences between the segments, making the FFSS a valuable tool for future intervention studies aiming at sustainable behavior change.

A multiple linear regression analysis was made on behavioral, questionnaire and other data from 40 agoraphobic patients, who participated in a behavioral outcome study. The dependent variable was treatment outcome as determined by changes in behavioral, subjective and physiological data after treatment and at 7-month and 15-month follow-up. The main predictors of outcome were self-rated anxiety and heart-rate at a behavioral test, and scores on the Autonomic Perception Questionnaire and Fear Survey Schedule-III, all related to the phobia. However, both level of depression and marital relationship were found to be weak predictors.

ABSTRACTObjectives:To estimate the prevalence of Mild Behavioral Impairment (MBI) in people with Subjective Cognitive Decline (SCD), and validate the Mild Behavioral Impairment Checklist (MBI-C) with respect to score distribution, sensitivity, specificity, and utility for MBI diagnosis, as well as correlation with other neuropsychological tests.Design:Correlational study with a convenience sampling. Descriptive, logistic regression, ROC curve, and bivariate correlations analyses were performed.Setting:Primary care health centers.Participants:127 patients with SCD.Measurements:An extensive evaluation, including Questionnaire for Subjective Memory Complaints, Mini-Mental State Examination, Cambridge Cognitive Assessment-Revised, Neuropsychiatric Inventory-Questionnaire (NPI-Q), the Geriatric Depression Scale-15 items (GDS-15), the Lawton and Brody Index and the MBI-C, which was administered by phone to participants’ informants. Results:MBI prevalence was 5.8% in those with SCD. The total MBI-C scoring was low and differentiated people with MBI at a cut-off point of 8.5 (optimizing sensitivity and specificity). MBI-C total scoring correlated positively with NPI-Q, Questionnaire for Subjective Cognitive Complaints (QSCC) from the informant and GDS-15.Conclusions:The phone administration of the MBI-C is useful for detecting MBI in people with SCD. The prevalence of MBI in SCD was low. The MBI-C detected subtle Neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS) that were correlated with scores on the NPI-Q, depressive symptomatology (GDS-15), and memory performance perceived by their relatives (QSCC). Next steps are to determine the predictive utility of MBI in SCD, and its relation to incident cognitive decline over time.

Abstract:
As part of a multicenter project to study noncognitive behavioral disturbances in dementia, the authors developed a comprehensive caregiver-rated questionnaire for these behaviors. The authors determined the reliability of caregiver ratings and compared caregiver ratings with clinician ratings using standard instruments. Caregivers showed good test/retest reliability for ratings of all types of patient behavioral disturbance. Caregiver interrater reliability was highest for depression and lowest for psychosis. The correlation between caregiver reports and professional assessments was highest for agitation, intermediate for psychosis, and lowest for depression. The match between caregiver and clinician assessments of patient behaviors appears to vary significantly by the type of behavior assessed.

Abstract:
The Revised reinforcement sensitivity theory contains three basic systems: Behavioral inhibition system (BAS), Behavioral activation system (BIS) and the Fight/ Flight/ Freeze (FFF) system. In this model, BIS is a system for detection of potential conflict or threat, and FFFS differs three basic patterns of reaction to actual or perceived danger. In Study 1, which was aimed at the examination of the latent structure of the RSQ, was conducted on a sample of 472 participants of both genders. The best - fitting model suggests that, at the top level of hierarchy, three dimensions exist, which are analogous to the BIS, BAS and FFF. The last dimension contains three subordinate dimensions, which represent the subsystems of the FFF. Study 2, in which 203 subjects participated, was aimed at examination of the relations between the dimensions of the Revised reinforcement sensitivity theory and dimensions of the PEN model. Confirmatory factor analyses of the RSQ and EPQ-R dimensions revealed that the best-fitting model comprised three latent dimensions, the first one being analogous to the BIS - Neuroticism, the second one to the BAS - Extraversion, and the third to the Aggressiveness- Psychoticism. The structure of the latent dimensions is in accordance with the expectations. The results state that fear and anxiety (which neurophysiological distinction is emphasized by Gray), are substantively similar on the behavioral level. Also, the results suggest that the Freeze dimension is probably closer to the BIS system than to the FFF.
