Full textThe purpose of this study is to examine and present the problem regarding the relationship between sport, aid organizations and development countries, this to see what sport means to individuals in development countries as well as the largely development of the society. Further more the study aims at improving an action plan for aid organizations which choose to use sport as an implement in developing work. A qualitative method of investigation was used where six aid organizations was interviewed by telephone. Besides data from the interviews literature, articles and homepages was used. The asked interview questions had a low level in structuring as well as standardization, this with intent to give as detailed answers as possible regarding the aid organizations working philosophy and methods. The interviews was analyzed and structured thematically whereupon it was worked up from Maslow’s theory of behaviour. The results showed that sport occur as an implement in work within several aid organizations, where the two most principally methods of working are either to assume sport as the method of working, or use sport as one of many methods. The results also exhibited that sport brings possibilities and problems which simplify respectively make the aid organizations development work more difficult. To conclude, the analyze exhibited what an action plan ought to contain and consider for the purpose to be used in development work with sport implemented in it.

Full textThe cadets at the 217:th company at the Military Academy Karlberg is facing a future of employment in the Swedish Armed Forces. The cadets recruitment process has been lined with alternating decision by the Swedish Armed Forces and decisions that will affect the cadets in their future profession as officers in the Armed Forces have been taken since they first started at Karlberg. Based on this, do the cadets want to take employement in the Swedish Armed Forces after graduation? The purpose of the study has the intention to use Maslow's need-theory in order to examine the feasibility of finding trends for whether the cadets feel satisfaction from the five steps that constitute Maslow's theory and if their willingness to accept employment in the Swedish Armed Forces can connect to it. The thesis also measure whether its possible to distinguish certain factors that affect the cadets to a greater extent for not wanting to take up employment in the Swedish Armed Forces after graduation. The purpose and the questions is answered by a survey that the cadets have answered. The survey is based on Maslow's theory and is designed for the cadets future profession as becoming officers in the Swedish Armed Forces. The results show that among the cadets who responded to the survey the willingness to accept employment in the Armed Forces is very high. Factors affecting the cadets to not wanting to take up employment is primarily fear of not beeing employed in the place they desire or the anxiety they may feel regarding family issues.

Full textA qualitative study regarding the phenomenon social codes was made to create a deeper understanding and develop knowledge about how social codes possibly could have an effect on human labor. The results of the study showed that social codes existed on all the participants workplaces. This was interpreted to imply that social codes was affecting all individuals in a social context on work. The questions of issue was if social codes existed on the labor market, and if these codes could possibly affect the human capital. The aim of the study was to implement interviews with four participants. Further it continued with a phenomenological analysis to illustrate differences and similarities within the results of the interviews. The participants of the study was between 23-56 years old. The study was not made to be able to generalise the studies results to a whole population, but instead to find a more profound description of the phenomenon social codes. Keywords were formulated and then decomposed into five themes to describe social codes and their impact on the human capital. The themes of the study was interpretation of rules and social interaction, alienation and communion, varied impact, changeability and work culture. The results of the study was based on subjective experiences and thoughts, which were interpreted into the discussion about how these results were useful for other employees.

Kasinoverksamhet har nu funnits i Sverige i snart åtta år och är en bransch där många av de
anställda arbetar obekväma arbetstider. Vi fann det då intressant att utifrån detta studera hur
de anställda upplever sin arbetssituation och framförallt se om de är motiverade och trivs. På
grund av att verksamheten är ny fann vi det även intressant att beskriva kasinots verksamhet
och struktur samt ge en övergripande bild av dem som arbetar på kasinot. Denna studie har ett
fokus på att jämföra de som arbetar dag respektive natt om de upplever sin arbetssituation
olika.
Insamlandet av data till vår studie gjordes via en enkät som skickades ut till alla anställda
förutom kasinots chef. Då vår studie har fokus på motivation och trivsel konstruerade vi vår
enkät utifrån behovsteorier av främst Herzberg och Maslow samt ledarskapsteorier om
transformativt och transaktionellt ledarskap av Bass. Utifrån detta se om det finns någon
skillnad i motivation och trivsel mellan dag- och nattarbetare. Som ett komplement till
informationen från enkäten utförde vi även en intervju med kasinots chef.
Vi har analyserat detta genom korstabeller och chi-två test för att se om det existerar någon
signifikant skillnad mellan de två grupperna dag och natt. Våra resultat visade att de som
arbetar dag är nöjda med sin arbetssituation, medan vi fann tendenser till missnöje hos de som
arbetar natt, det var bland annat faktorer som erkännande där anställda som arbetar natt tycker
att det inte får fullt så mycket beröm samt höra att deras arbete är värdefullt som de skulle
vilja. Vår slutsats är att det finns tendenser att dagarbetare är mer nöjd än de som arbetar natt.
