Abstract:
Benins are known for their unique culture which revolves around the revered tradition centred on the Oba (king). Renowned scholars like Nevadomski, Egharevba, Ena Eweka and Aisien have carried out extensive ethnographic research covering such areas as Benin arts and crafts, religion, traditional politics and culture on the people. In contributing to the existing literature in the area of Benin chieftaincy regalia. This article examines how costumes serve as a tool for identifying Benin chiefs in their various categories of chieftaincy groups. The aim is to clarify the confusion of identifying Benin chiefs bearing in mind the similarities that abound in the general traditional dress of the people. Using qualitative research methods, with relevant literature, interview and personal observation, findings reveal that the title of a chief contributes to the construction of the costume of the chief for different purposes.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Opomíjeny nejsou ani šperky, dřevěné řezby užitných, dekorativních i rituálních předmětů a zvířecí skulptury.

Abstract:
The Public Investment Management Assessment (PIMA) of Benin has brought to light an institutional framework of high quality but ineffective implementation. In accordance with the PIMA methodology applied in several countries, the mission focused on assessing the institutional strengths (such as the legal framework and organization) for each institution in the analytical framework, as well as its effective implementation. Benin was found to have a high-quality, relatively complete institutional framework. The country outperforms its peers in this regard, not only compared with the average for the countries of the subregion (the West African Economic and Monetary Union—WAEMU), but also the Sub-Saharan African countries that have already conducted a PIMA exercise (Figure 1). The effectiveness of the framework, however, is weak.

Abstract:
Program implementation continues to be strong, with all end-December 2019 quantitative performance criteria (QPCs) and the structural benchmarks (SB) under review being met. Economic activity is expected to decelerate sharply in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The authorities have prepared a response plan of 1.7 percent of GDP to contain health risks and support the economy. As a result of the projected revenue shortfall and the new measures, the 2020 fiscal deficit is revised upward to 3.5 percent of GDP.
