The aim of this study was to investigate the DNA damaging abilities of SR 4233 (Tirapazamine) and a range of congeners. These are novel benzotriazine-N-oxide compounds of potential clinical importance in the treatment of hypoxic tumours. The studies used a viral double transfection assay which involved exposing purified $X174 DNA to the compounds under oxic, hypoxic and hypoxic reductive conditions and subsequently transfecting the DNA into E. coli AB1157 and E. coli C. Experiments under reductive hypoxia were carried out between pH 4-7 to establish if a reduction product required protonation

Abstract:

Les acylsilanes sont les composés «acyl-métal» présentant la chimie la plus diversifiée. Cette thèse porte d'une part sur de nouvelles synthèses (méthodes et produits) d'acylsilanes, d'autre part sur l'étude de leur réactivité. Plus particulièrement, des allyl- et vinyl(acyl)silanes et des bis(acylsilanes) à silicium internes étaient ciblés. Une synthèse basée sur l'hydrolyse d'éthers d'énol ou d'ènethiol C-silylés s'est révélée peu performante pour des bis(acylsilanes), mais apporte une contribution originale à la panoplie des méthodes de synthèse d'acylsilanes. Filmes de benzotriazol (BTAH) formados sobre aços carbono e inoxidável 316L foram estudados em meios de ácido sulfúrico, ácido clorídrico e cloreto de sódio a 25°C. Abstract:

Cette étude montre l'influence des pressions partielles de vapeur d'eau et d'oxygène sur la vitesse et les produits formes lors de la sulfuration du cuivre et de l'argent dans un mélange gazeux contenant du sulfure d'hydrogène. On étudie egalement l'effet inhibiteur des vapeurs ou des solutions organiques de benzotriazole dans le cas du cuivre. Dans le cas de l'argent aucun effet inhibiteur du benzotriazole n'est obtenu.
