Destiny and liberty in the Mathematicus of Bernard Silvestrus. This paper attemps to reveal a problem that worried a lot to people who dealed with astrological themes in antiquity. Can human being challenge a prediction by committing suicide? Patricida's story, which remembers Oedipus, tries to point out the complexity of reponse. But human being always has the last possibility to elude the rum of events by imposing his will on star's destiny: this is the Mathematicus's lesson in conformity with the chartrian humanism.

El escrito analiza la pieza dramática Todos contra el Payo y el Payo contra todos o la visita del Payo en el hospital de locos. Coloquio en tres actos y escrito en verso, atribuida a José Joaquín Fernández de Lizardi, con el objetivo de identificar en ella los rastros de una poética neoclásica. Para ello se cotejan las características de la obra con la Poética de Luzán y con El discurso sobre los dramas de Silvestre Díaz de la Vega, documento elaborado por éste a petición de Bernardo de Gálvez como parte de la reforma general del teatro en la Nueva España impulsada por este virrey.PALABRAS CLAVELiteratura novohispana, Fernández de Lizardi, literatura neoclásica. This paper analyzes the dramatic piece Todos contra el Payo y el Payo contra todos o la visita del Payo en el hospital de locos. Abstract:
L’articolo cerca di rispondere alla domanda se la scelta di Calcidio di usare la parola silva per indicare la materia e, in particolare, il ricettacolo platonico influenzò le teorie dei filosofi di lingua latina del XII secolo, che tanto dovevano al commento di Calcidio al Timeo. In particolare, vengono analizzati alcuni dei più importanti passi sulla silva tratti dalle opere di Gilberto Porretano e Bernardo Silvestre. Al fine di rendere più chiaro l’esame dei brani, è proposta anche una breve ma completa rassegna dei diversi significati del termine silva e delle parole da essa derivate. Il risultato dell’analisi dei testi è che, sebbene nessuna delle tesi sulla silva di Gilberto e Bernardo sia stata direttamente influenzata dalle connotazioni di questo termine, tali connotazioni hanno probabilmente aiutato questi pensatori a comprendere meglio le affermazioni di Platone e Calcidio sulla natura primordiale.

The eulophid Baryscapus silvestrii Viggiani & Bernardo is reported for the first time in the Calabria region (Southern Italy). Adults of the eulophid emerged in September 2019 from olive fruit fly Bactrocera oleae (Diptera Tephritidae) puparia detected during a survey in an experimental olive groove in Mirto Crosia in Cosenza province.

To reach this result it is exposed the history of the relations between the Latin Asclepius and the Christian Thought since II to XII century and it is proved the interest of the Nag Hammadi Coptic Library Codex VI, to understand these relations.

Abstract:
Il presente lavoro si propone di indagare il nesso che lega Dante al platonismo elaborato nel XII secolo in Francia dalla scuola di Chartres, con particolare riferimento a Bernardo Silvestre e al suo Commentum al capolavoro virgiliano. Con puntualità e insieme con equilibrio, sono messi in evidenza e discussi ampiamente, in un attenta analisi comparativa, tutti quei passi di Dante nei quali il sottofondo dell esegesi bernardiana si lascia percepire. Sono documentabili vere e proprie citazioni; in forza della loro presenza, divengono evidenti anche le allusioni, non poche e di una certa rilevanza. Naturalmente, l analisi soppesa, caso per caso, nonché in sede di bilancio complessivo, la risignificazione che Dante imprime ai prestiti di cui si avvale. Sulla base dei riscontri testuali si può affermare che l esegesi bernardiana ha fortemente condizionato Dante nei primi tre trattati del Convivio; ma all altezza del quarto trattato di quest opera, Dante è attratto dalla lettura offerta da Servio. Per Bernardo, l Eneide si deve leggere secondo l allegoria dei poeti, dunque come narrazione non vera nel senso letterale; da parte sua, Servio accredita una lettura storica del capolavoro virgiliano. Ora questa seconda ottica diviene per Dante il Dante appunto del quarto trattato del Convivio, volto a esaltare l Impero sia come idea-guida, sia come concreta realizzazione promossa dai Romani una conquista decisiva. Un racconto virgiliano che risulti storicamente vero può accertare la fondazione illustre dell Impero universale, di cui è padre nobile un eroe come Enea, e inoltre rivendicare il suo carattere provvidenziale, che Virgilio enfatizzava. Non è ignorato il fatto che si pone a questo punto il problema di una coerenza della Commedia con la rivalutazione del senso letterale operata dal quarto trattato del Convivio. Ma non sussiste alcuna contraddizione: pur essendo costruito secondo l allegoria dei teologi, il poema sacro si avvale in alcuni passi dell allegoria poetica (è il caso della selva oscura), e ad ogni modo si ritiene libero di valorizzare spunti utili a livello di senso secondo anche quando rivendica la veridicità della lettera. Una direzione già visibile nel quarto trattato del Convivio. Ripensare Dante alla luce del neoplatonismo significa correggere quella direttrice interpretativa di taglio aristotelico che ha avuto un peso notevole nella critica dantesca. Correzione inevitabile: il contatto di Dante con la Scuola di Chartres e in particolare con Bernardo Silvestre si può considerare un dato certo. Non si dovrà per questo mettere in dubbio l impalcatura aristotelica della Commedia; semmai acquisire che quello dantesco è un aristotelismo sincretico, con forti venature di neoplatonismo.

Abstract:
This thesis proposes a new reading of the Cosmographia of Bernardus Silvestris and a reconsideration of the work's place in the intellectual history of the twelfth century. A complex allegory of creation, the Cosmographia depends on a wide variety of scientific, literary and theological traditions. This thesis seeks to identify the classical, patristic and early medieval traditions to which Bernardus was indebted, and it argues that the Cosmographia deployed the resources of these traditions to respond to the changing intellectual conditions of the schools of northern France where Bernardus worked.
