Abstract:
The paper presents the results of the study of some morphological and genotypic features of fleas of the genus Xenopsylla: X. gerbilli minax, X. skrjabini, X. hirtipes - the main vectors in the Central Asian natural desert plague focus. In order to identify population characteristics, for the first time we attempted both morphological analysis using the ImageJ computer program and subsequent data processing in a free statistical environment R version 4.0.0 with R Studio graphic shell, as well as genetic analysis of a fragment of a nucleotide sequence of the COII gene of fleas sampled in Pre-Us

Abstract:
The paper presents data on the phylogeny, anatomy of vegetative organs, phytocenosis composition, and ploidy of two populations of endemic Allium lehmannianum Merckl. ex-Bunge. in the flora of northeastern Betpakdala. Some discrepancies in nomenclature and sectional affiliation are discussed and corrected. Allium lehmannianum belongs to the section Multicaulea F. O. Khass. and Enlalych. subgenus Allium, the main range covering the eastern Old Mediterranean region. The ploidy of Allium lehmannianum was studied for the first time using flow cytometry techniques. The main issue in the article is that saigas have been inhabited in ancient times. At present, the main populations of saiga antelopes are stored only in the Kazakh land. The country has protected zones, changes in seasons and migration paths. The issues of mass involvement of saiga antelopes, measures and their survival are described. The «Altyn Dala» Association for the Conservation of Biodiversity of Kazakhstan for 2013 has been created to further improve the work of the Specially Protected Natural Areas (SPNA), i.e. saiga conservation. This article presents the results of a comprehensive study of the species composition of the Poaceae Barnhart family in the flora of the Betpakdala Desert. The research is based on a critical review of published literature, examination of herbarium specimens from collections housed at AA and MW, and extensive fieldwork conducted by the authors. As a result, an updated checklist of Poaceae taxa for the region has been compiled. It includes 106 species distributed across 44 genera, 17 subtribes, 14 tribes, 7 supertribes, and 6 subfamilies. In the Central Asia desert natural focus of plague, the major carrier of the Yersinia pestis agent is the great gerbil Rhombomys opimus, and its vectors include fleas of the Xenopsylla genus. Phenotypical and genotypical properties of the R. opimus populations, Xenopsylla fleas and Yersinia pestis strains have been studied in the Central Asia desert natural focus of plague. Phenotypic distinctions and population discreteness have been identified in R. opimus on the cytochrome b gene of the mitochondrial genome from three autonomous plague foci: Pre-Balkhash, Betpakdala and Pre-Ustyurt. Preservation and maintenance of biological diversity of Earth’s life is one of the key tasks of mankind. Therefore, the search and substantiation of methods that will be able to stabilise and increase the number of endangered species of animals and plants, a key direction of modern science, consisted in the development of organisational and veterinary preventive approaches in the breeding of saigas of the Betpakdala and Ural populations in the conditions of the nurseries “ASAR Live” and “Akboken” in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
