Abstract:
Frei Betto apresenta uma análise objetiva sobre o atual momento político e econômico em que vive não só o Brasil, mas outros países no cenário global. O capitalismo neoliberal do século XXI mostra que os governos estão cada vez mais dependentes do sistema financeiro, o que acarreta um aumento do endividamento dos países, da desigualdade social e da ditadura do dinheiro. Ao olhar para o campo mundial, Frei Betto alerta para a fragilidade da democracia, quando se observa o armamento nuclear de países como EUA, Rússia e China. Por isso, para ele, a democracia está em risco e a paz mundial também. No campo político, ele acredita que o Brasil só conseguirá melhorar sua situação atual quando houver uma base popular mais politizada, organizada e mobilizada. Frei Betto debate ainda sobre as relações de consumo com a lógica do mercado, que desloca os valores humanos. As pessoas não valem pelo que são e sim pelo que consomem. Os valores humanos estão mercantilizados e isso é comprovado quando um mendigo na rua não tem nenhum valor, enquanto a rainha da Inglaterra é venerada. Frei Betto chama a atenção ainda para o fenômeno da concentração da mídia tradicional que foi ofuscada pela internet, possibilitando a democratização da comunicação, mas alerta para a alta exposição das redes que nos torna indivíduos potencialmente controlados pelas mídias digitais. Frei Betto ainda conta sua relação com o ex-presidente Lula e que devemos sempre agir e manter a esperança por dias melhores.

O sofrimento psíquico faz parte da condição humana e está representado em várias obras literárias brasileiras. Uma delas é Batismo de Sangue: os dominicanos e a morte de Carlos Marighela, escrita por Frei Betto, que retrata a trajetória dos freis dominicanos e sua relação com o revolucionário Carlos Marighela. A obra está composta com um autor/narrador, Frei Betto, que fala na primeira/terceira pessoa, mas abre espaço para outros enunciadores, como os torturadores e torturados. Esse artigo tem como objetivo analisar a obra e o sofrimento psíquico do jovem dominicano Frei Tito, preso, torturado e que após seu banimento do país e exílio na França enlouquece. A obra tem como função relatar a história dos que foram vencidos durante a ditadura e inserir essa versão dos fatos na história oficial ao apontar os traumas sofridos por eles.

This dissertation research discusses Frei Bettos s history, his relationship with the Theology of Liberation, and his thoughts about a liberating religion as counter point to conservative religion. This research is divided into three chapters. The first one is a biographical survey about Frei Bettos s academic training, his involvement with social actions, and his relation with the Theology of Liberation. The second chapter is a review of Frei Betto s work, Letters from Prison and Baptism of Blood , highlighting his religious and sociological reading about the Brazilian reality of his time. The third chapter focuses on the differences between a conservative religion and a liberating one, their different ways of addressing social reality, giving emphasis to Frei Betto s concept of liberating religion, as a way of transformation and freedom. Finally, the conclusions call for the historical value of the Theology of Liberation, as a way to appreciate the human being as persons prepared to write their own history and intervene in a social reality of their time.
Esta dissertação pesquisa sobre a história de Frei Betto, sua relação com a Teologia da Libertação e seu pensamento sobre a religião libertadora como contra ponto à religião conservadora. Este estudo está dividido em três capítulos. No primeiro, fazse um levantamento biográfico apresentando sua formação acadêmica, envolvimento com os movimentos sociais e sua relação com a Teologia da Libertação. No segundo capítulo, faz-se a análise crítica em suas obras Cartas da Prisão e Batismo de Sangue, explicitando sua leitura religiosa e sociológica sobre a realidade brasileira de seu tempo. O terceiro capítulo aborda o que é uma religião conservadora e libertadora, seus modos diferentes de tratarem as realidades sociais, dando-se destaque ao conceito de Frei Betto sobre a religião libertadora como meio de transformação histórica e libertação. Por fim, na conclusão, afirma-se o valor histórico da Teologia da Libertação como meio de valorização do ser humano como ser vocacionado para escrever sua história e intervir na realidade social de seu tempo.

This master's thesis represents the search for a narrative. We aim to demonstrate that there is a story behind a set of apparently unrelated stories and that what bundles these stories is not only the symbolic description or records of an important period of the history of Brazil, but also, despite its incipient literary load, the path a man must necessarily follow in order to accomplish his journey under the absurdity of the world. When we think about writing and surviving in Cartas da prisão [Letters from prison], by Frei Betto, we try to identify, in this tug-­‐of-­‐war, in what measure would there be a movement of dynamic balance of the origin of the author in the denial of death. For the high degree of subjectivity we aim for here, Roland Barthes' concept of Neutral has proved to be an efficient methodology, having provided us with the attribute of the impasse and, therefore, the right to news paths, the access to surprising answers and, above all, a sparkling creative-­‐critical-­‐aesthetic experience, to use an expression of Barthes himself. The lucidity that ties Sisyphus to his destiny under the huge rock of his condemnation or Camus to his human rebellion in face of the race condemnation is of the same order of the one that connects Betto to literature and which represents his only real possibility of achieving true freedom: through consciousness
A presente dissertação representa a busca por uma narrativa. O que propomos demonstrar aqui é que há uma história por detrás de um conjunto de histórias aparentemente desconexas. E que o feixe dessas histórias não se refere unicamente à descrição simbólica ou ao registro de um importante período histórico brasileiro, mas, também, a despeito de sua incipiente carga literária, à trajetória que obrigatoriamente um homem deve traçar em sua travessia sobre o absurdo do mundo. Quando imaginamos escrita e sobrevivência em Cartas da prisão, de Frei Betto, procuramos identificar em que medida se dava, nesse jogo de forças, o movimento de equilíbrio dinâmico da origem do autor na negação da morte. Pelo alto grau de subjetividade da proposta, o conceito de Neutro, de Roland Barthes, mostrou-­‐se metodologia efetiva, pois que nos forneceu o atributo do impasse e, em consequência disso, o direito a novos caminhos, o acesso a respostas surpreendentes e, sobretudo, a experiência estético-­‐crítico-­‐criativa cintilante , para aplicar a expressão do próprio Barthes. A lucidez que prende Sísifo ao seu destino sob a pedra imensa de sua condenação ou Camus à sua humana revolta pela condenação da espécie é da mesma ordem da que liga Betto à literatura, representando sua única possibilidade real de conquista da verdadeira liberdade: pela consciência

Durant la seconde moitié du XVIIe et le premier tiers du XVIIIe siècle, la Lorraine connut une forte immigration d’origine transalpine – et plus exactement milanaise –,principalement composée d’artisans du bâtiment et d’architectes. Parmi ces Italiens se distingue plus particulièrement la figure de Giovan Betto (1642-1722), qui connut une carrière tout à fait exceptionnelle couronnée par le titre d’Architecte du duc de Lorraine. Après avoir tenté de retracer l’histoire des relations artistiques entre la Lorraine et l’Italie, qui remontent au XVe siècle mais qui connurent leur apogée sous le règne du duc Charles III (1545-1608), cette étude se penche sur les caractéristiques et les apports de la diaspora transalpine sur le territoire lorrain entre la fin de la guerre de Trente Ans et l’arrivée de Stanislas sur le trône. Dans cette recherche, l’accent a été mis sur la personnalité de Betto ; sa biographie a pu être largement actualisée et son œuvre a fait l’objet d’une étude exhaustive qui a permis de mettre en évidence à la fois son rôle majeur de vecteur dans la migration de certaines formes architecturales transalpines et celui de praticien capable d’étonnantes synthèses entre des modèles internes aux congrégations religieuses et ses propres prédilections. Malgré leurs origines et leur horizon culturel commun, la comparaison avec quelques-uns de ses compatriotes montre à quel point sa carrière fut exceptionnelle et combien sa production a pu marquer de manière durable le paysage de l’art de bâtir en Lorraine à l’époque moderne
During the second half of the 17th century and the first third of the 18th, lots of emigrants went to Lorraine from Italy, and from the duchy of Milan in particular. Among them, there were primarily craftsmen and architects. The most important and the most famous of these was Giovan Betto (1642-1722), whose unexpected and outstanding career eventually earned him the title of “Duke’s Architect” in 1703. First of all, this dissertation’s aim is to recount the history of the artistic relationships between the duchy of Lorraine and the Italian peninsula, which had begun in the 15th century, but whose heights were reached under the reign of duke Charles III (1545-1608). Then, an attempt is made to characterize and define this diaspora as well as its influence in Lorraine between the end of the Thirty Years’ War and Stanislas’ accession to the throne. This research is mainly focused on Betto’s personality: his biography is considerably updated in view of recent discoveries, and his entire work is thoroughly analysed. The results of this new investigation prove Betto’s significance not only as a paramount actor in the transfer and adaptation of Italian architectural patterns in Lorraine, but also as an artist able to combine church- and convent-building models promoted by religious orders with his own tastes. Finally, and in spite of their common origin and culture, the comparison with other Milanese architects shows how unparalleled Betto was, and how his works had a long-lasting influence on architecture

O objetivo da presente dissertação é compreender o processo histórico que antecedeu e inspirou as obras da Teologia da Libertação. Observa-se que o conjunto de princípios que constituiu a base das obras dos teólogos profissionais e que resumiu suas aspirações surgiu e foi assumido por um grupo específico de jovens, antes mesmo que elas emergissem. Dessa forma, a experiência pessoal de frei Betto é tomada como objeto desta pesquisa, por ser ele um dos mais notórios integrantes desse grupo. Procura-se apreender de que maneira o clima cultural dos anos 1960, somado às mudanças na Igreja Católica e no horizonte político da América Latina, gerou ao longo de mais de uma década, e através de diversos espaços de formação, uma chave de leitura do real, reunindo um mesmo corpo de ideias que posteriormente embasou as elaborações dessa corrente teológica e a ação social de seus militantes. Para tanto, são analisadas, aproximadamente, 208 cartas redigidas pelo frade dominicano no período em que esteve preso (1969- 1973), cujas quais em 2008 foram reunidas no livro Cartas da Prisão 1969-1973
The goal of this dissertation is to understand the historical process that preceded and inspired the works of liberation theology. Observe that the set of principles that formed the basis of the work of professional theologians and summarized their aspirations emerged and was taken over by a particular group of young people, even before they emerge. Thus, the personal experience of Friar Betto is taken as the object of this research, because he is one of the most notorious members of this group. Seeks to grasp how the cultural climate of the 1960's, coupled with changes in the Catholic Church and the political landscape in Latin America, generated over more than a decade, and through various training spaces, a key reading the real , even gathering a body of ideas that later based elaborations this current theological and social action of its militants. To do so, we analyzed approximately 208 letters written by the Dominican friar in the period in which he was imprisoned (1969-1973), whose in 2008 were collected in the book Letters from Prison 1969 to 1973

Dessa forma, a experiência pessoal de frei Betto é tomada como objeto desta pesquisa, por ser ele um dos mais notórios integrantes desse grupo. Luego de un lustro de prolífica producción de miniseries biográficas de cantantes populares (desde “La lucha por un sueño” en el 2005), nuestra televisión parecía haber detenido su interés por este tipo de historias, retornando más bien a la realización de formatos de ficción de más largo aliento, colocando en nuestras pantallas telenovelas nacionales que luchaban por el rating con bastante éxito. Pero pareciera que el 2012 América Televisión decidió retomar las mini series biográficas de cantantes populares, y para ello recurrió a su rey Midas casero (Efraín Aguilar) quien ya había probado el sub-género en “Nacida para triunfar”, en el año 2008.

A presente Dissertação visa analisar as diferentes características relacionadas com os viadutos mistos aço - betão, tanto teoricamente, como a sua aplicação prática através de um caso de estudo. A análise teórica visa desenvolver os conhecimentos das diferentes análises a realizar neste tipo de estrutura e as suas vantagens de aplicação em relação a outras opções existentes. São estudados as características dos materiais empregues, tendo em conta os recentes desenvolvimentos, tanto no que concerne aos materiais, como nas normas que os regem. È efectuada uma apresentação das diversas secções transversais que podem ser executadas com base nestes materiais, juntamente com exemplos da sua aplicação. Nesta perspectiva desenvolvem-se os diferentes métodos construtivos adaptáveis ao tipo de estrutura e à envolvente de implantação. São apresentadas as metodologias de cálculo das secções mistas e dos seus esforços resistentes, de modo a verificar as exigências necessárias em projecto. Tendo por base esta análise teórica aplicam-se os conhecimentos adquiridos a um caso de estudo que visa uma nova abordagem a um projecto real. Esta nova abordagem tem como principio uma modificação geométrica da estrutura, realizando todo o dimensionamento e consequente verificação. ABSTRACT: This dissertation aims the analysis the different characteristics associated with the composite steel and concrete viaducts, in a theoretical way, and also in its practical application, through a study case. The analysis aims the development of a theoretical knowledge of the different studies, to apply on this type of structure, and its advantages considering the other options. The characteristics of the materials used are studied, and new developments are considered, taking into account the type of materials and the rules that regulate them. A presentation of the various cross-sections is made, that can be implemented based on these materials, along with examples of its application. Within this perspective, there are different methods of construction suitable to the type of structure and deployment. Various methodologies are presented to calculate the joint sections and their resistant capacity, to verify the requirements of the project. Based on the theoretical analysis, the acquired knowledge is applied in a study case, taking the form of a new approach to a real project. This new approach has the purpose to change the geometric structure, making a new design and the subsequent verification.

Nesta dissertação pretende-se analisar as consequências de determinadas reações químicas de origem interna e/ou externa, nomeadamente as ações das águas doce e do mar e por ácidos inorgânicos e orgânicos na degradação do betão. Analisar-se-ão também os ataques por sulfatos e por nitratos, por sais de magnésio e por agentes bioquímicos, abordando-se ainda a corrosão das armaduras e por fim as reações expansivas internas. O presente trabalho surge com o intuito de fazer uma descrição dos principais tipos de ataques químicos, tenham estes origem no ambiente envolvente às estruturas ou decorram de ações antrópicas, de forma a induzir uma maior consciencialização para as suas causas e principalmente para os seus efeitos a curto e longo prazos nas estruturas de betão armado; ### Abstract: Chemical attack in concrete. Chemical attacks caused by intrinsic and extrinsic factors are some of the major forms of deterioration of concrete. This dissertation aims to analise the consequences of certain chemical reactions of domestic and/or external origin, including the actions of the ocean and fresh water, as well as inorganic and organic acids in the degradation of concrete. This analysis will also focus the attacks by sulfates and nitrates, magnesium salts and biochemical agents, addressing the corrosion of the reinforcement concrete and finally the internal expansive reactions. This paper aims to formulate a description of the main types of chemical attacks, whether their origin is in the surrounding structures or a result of anthropic actions, in order to induce a greater awareness for their causes and effects in the short and long term in reinforced concrete structures.

No passado recente, o grupo de investigação "Structural Composites" da Universidade do Minho e a empresa CiviTest – Pesquisa de Novos Materiais para a Engenharia Civil, Lda. têm realizado vários estudos experimentais e numéricos avançados, em parceria, que permitiram a aquisição de conhecimento e o desenvolvimento de materiais de matriz cimentícia reforçados com fibras recicladas, BRFR (Betão Reforçado com Fibras Recicladas), nomeadamente as provenientes da indústria da reciclagem de pneus. A investigação desenvolvida tem evidenciado que as fibras recicladas possuem elevadas potencialidades como reforço efetivo do betão, nomeadamente no reforço ao corte. No presente trabalho pretende-se apresentar os resultados relativos à avaliação da eficácia do reforço ao corte de vigas em betão por intermédio da aplicação de painéis em microbetão auto-compactável reforçado com fibras de aço de pneu reciclado nas faces de vigas de betão armado existentes. Para tal foram efetuados ensaios comparativos de resistência ao corte entre vigas em betão armado de referência (viga I com 1.25 x 0.15 x 0.30 m3; alma com 0.09 m) e vigas similares reforçadas na alma com painéis em microbetão auto-compactável reforçado com fibras recicladas de 2 cm de espessura usando dois sistemas de fixação às respetivas vigas em betão armado. Os resultados e conclusões obtidos são apresentados na presente publicação. A eficiência da aplicação dos referidos painéis em vigas demonstrou que é possível obter aumentos de capacidade de carga da ordem dos 250 % em vigas não fendilhadas e em vigas previamente fendilhadas. Actualmente, devido à crise económica e às exigências de desenvolvimento sustentável, a tecnologia do betão requer uma nova abordagem, baseada essencialmente em três vectores: métodos de produção e colocação com menor consumo de energia, aumento da durabilidade das estruturas e maior taxa de reciclagem de materiais, nomeadamente através da sua reintrodução (reutilização) no processo de construção. O uso de betão autocompactável (BAC) e a incorporação de agregados reciclados na produção de argamassas e de betão são soluções com grande potencial, particularmente para a indústria de pré-fabricação, na qual os requisitos do produto final são maiores. Por esta razão, os resíduos desta indústria são também aqueles com maior potencial para serem utilizados como agregados reciclados (AR) de alta qualidade na produção de novos elementos de betão. Seguindo esta linha de raciocínio, este artigo pretende avaliar a viabilidade de reintrodução de agregados reciclados de betão na indústria de pré-fabricação. Desse modo, foram avaliadas as propriedades mecânicas do BAC com incorporação de AR (grossos e finos - AGG e AFR) a partir de elementos pré-fabricados triturados. A intenção foi avaliar a capacidade de produção de BAC com um desempenho mínimo pré-estabelecido em termos de resistência mecânica, incorporando diferentes percentagens de AR (AFR / AGR% 25/25%, 50/50%, 0/100% 0%) produzidos a partir de betão pré-fabricado com desempenho alvo semelhante. Esta avaliação foi feita para duas classes de resistência (45 MPa e 65 MPa), com a intenção de obter como resultado final betão com agregados reciclados cujas características fossem compatíveis com as de um BAC com agregados naturais, em termos de trabalhabilidade e resistência mecânica. Também se pretendeu avaliar a influência da incorporação de agregados finos e grossos nas propriedades mecânicas do betão. O principal objectivo desta investigação foi proporcionar à indústria de pré-fabricação uma forma inovadora de eliminação e recuperação de resíduos auto-gerados, minimizando o consumo de recursos naturais e, consequentemente, reduzindo significativamente seu impacto ambiental. Além dos aspectos ambientais, há também aspectos económicos associados, já que este procedimento reduz os custos de compra e transporte dos materiais.Os resultados permitiram estabelecer conclusões sobre os BAC produzidos com agregados finos e grossos reciclados da indústria de pré-fabricação, com base nas suas propriedades mecânicas. As propriedades estudadas são fortemente afectadas pelo tipo e quantidade de agregados reciclados.
