The diploma thesis focuses on a proposal of acquisition of email communication security service according to ISMS for a company which provides trading services on financial markets. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the theoretical part, necessary terms and theoretical essentials are explained in order to ensure understanding of the following parts of the thesis. The following analytical part describes the company's current security status of information. As a solution in the final part of the thesis, partial risk analyses are conducted. Based on these, suitable options for email communication security measures are proposed as well as their the economical evaluation.

This thesis is focused on the study of the best-known network attacks, especially on those that can be theoretically detected without knowledge of the contents of transmitted messages. The goal is to use the basis of acquired knowledge to create a tool that will simulate the behavior of the communication in different network attacks. Simulation outputs will be used for testing the quality of security tools designed to defend against network attacks. The simulator will be used only for offline testing, it will not be possible to carry out real attacks. Purpose of this work is to improve the security against network attacks nowadays.

The first part handles facility management as such, its nature, basic concepts, historical development, instruments, ways of providing services and participants. Level of provided services in the Czech Republic is analyzed. Based on received knowledge of the field the other part is focused on detailed specification of facility management services provided in the area of logistic centers management. On the example of individual services there are described differences in management of logistic centres and possible solutions of these situations. The benefit of this thesis consists in providing a comprehensive view of logistics centres management and suggesting possible improvements.

This dissertation thesis is dedicated to on-line services security management from service provider's and service consumer's viewpoints. The main goal is to propose a framework for on-line services security risk management, to develop a supporting software tool prototype and to validate them through a case study performed in a real-world environment. The key components of the proposed framework are a threat model and a risk model. These models are designed to fit specific features of on-line services and the surrounding environment. A risk management process is an integral part of the framework. The process is suitable for frequent and recurrent risk assessments. The process comprises of eight steps, related roles and responsibilities are defined for each step. The process execution results in identification and execution of proper tasks which contribute to treatment of identified security risks and deficiencies. Documentation and reporting of an overall level of on-line services security over time is possible if the process is executed on a regular basis. The proposed framework was validated through a case study performed in a large enterprise environment.

The main topic of my diploma thesis is dedicated to the issue of wireless networks mostly aimed at IEEE 802.11 standard. Theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three main chapters. It deals with basic overview of standards, architecture, utilization of radio spectrum and modulating techniques in signal processing. Further, it describes basic security measures and quality of service requirements in WLAN networks. The thesis is complemented by two separate laboratory assignments focused on procedure related to the chosen problematic. The first assignment handles common steps to break ciphered protocols WEP and WPA in WLAN’s. Linux software called Back Track 5 was used to provide complete package of tools for WLAN security tests. The second one is aimed at practical options on video streaming in converged wireless networks and also at remote access of mobile users to wireless IP camera video stream.

Organizations that during the past years become accustomed to run its services on its on-premise solution, have increasingly to decide if they will in these days continue to operate their IT services in this way, or take advantage of new opportunities for cloud-based solution. However, the transition to this new technology, which entrusts their data into the hands of external companies, accompanied by a fear of security of their sensitive data. The main objective of this thesis is to propose a reference model that will assist organizations in their selection process of cloud service providers with respect to data security. In conclusion the quality and usefulness of this reference model is validated by knowledge and information, which are obtained during interviews with IT specialists.

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the suitability of methods of managerial decision-making in practice. The thesis highlights the diversity of selected methods, particularly in relation to the use of discrete and continuous risk factors. The methods are applied to the case of the introduction of new product in the market of commercial security services. The thesis includes a complete strategic planning cycle based on the defined objectives of the organization, security agency SECURE. From the analytical part, including the analysis of the competitive environment 5F, through the creation of strategies, author proceeds to an implementation part which is the essence of the thesis. It is represented by managerial decision-making under risk and uncertainty, particularly decision matrix and the method of Monte Carlo. The conclusion contains evaluation and comparison of different methods and their contribution to practical use.

The analytical part identifies the weaknesses in individual areas of physical security according to ČSN/ISO 27 000 regulation. The practical part is divided into individual chapters bringing suggestions for corrections, modernization and modifications of the system. The theoretical part deals mainly with clarification of the terminology and proceses used in the practical part. I see the benefit of my work in the practical suggestions for the changes. If they are implemented correctly, the physical security of the organization will be of high quality.

This thesis deals with a specific area of cloud computing - Enterprise Content Management services and their adoption among small and medium-sized businesses. The main goal is to identify and analyse factors affecting the expansion of cloud ECM services among SMBs. Secondary goals include definition of basic concepts, introduction of benefits and risks, definition of a suitable category, presentation of several products from this category, analysis of cloud computing adoption surveys, identification and analysis of main adoption barriers, description of products with focus on identified barriers and compilation of a set of recommendations for cloud service providers. These goals were achieved by studying literature, searching and analyzing cloud computing adoption surveys and consulting with professionals. This thesis contributes to the field with mapping of real world companies' opinions into practical recommendations for cloud computing vendors. Other contributions include definition of product parameters that are important when making a cloud ECM adoption decision, presentation of current market situation and how individual producers deal with main customers' barriers. Benefits for customers include cloud ECM market overview and showing which facts are worth their notice.

The topic of this diploma thesis is Analysis of Social and Economic Development of the City Quarter Prague 3. This thesis is focused on analysis of the selected indicators of social and economic development of the City Quarter Prague 3. On the basis of found information, it assesses present situation of the areas that its development influence most. The attention is devoted to the development of number of citizens, their migration and population structure. Part of this work evaluates the availability of local facilities and economy of Prague 3. The employed data come from the database of the Czech Statistical Office and from the City of Prague 3. Even the representatives of Prague 3 were interviewed in order to complete obtained information. At the end of the work, the SWOT analysis based on the works findings is created. It indicates its strong and weak parts and opportunities and threats of Prague 3. According to the analysis, the areas, the Prague 3 should support more or stop supporting, are identified.

This thesis deals with an optimization of Triple play services and security in optical access networks. The first chapter provides theory basics which are necessary for results evaluation. The second chapter describes optical access networks with their parameters such as transmission speed, split ratio, line code, bit error rate etc. defined by ITU. Next chapter summaries the current state in optical networks construction field according to the European Union developing plan. The practical part of this thesis is divided into several subchapters. The significant part of the thesis is dedicated to the security of passive optical networks and design of proper security model for current networks. For this purpose, the unique parameter time propagation Tprop, with the novel security model was developed. Next part of the thesis provides an analysis of control traffic and data traffic in the gigabit passive optical networks. For a novel algorithm in activation process in gigabit passive optical networks the measurement results were used. The novel algorithm decreases the total time needed for this process. The last but one subchapter deals with an ILP model for Triple Play services. The last subchapter contains the own implementation of the transmission converge layer in VPIphotonics simulation tool.

Cloud computing brings to the world of information systems many opportunities but also new risks. The main one is decreased customer ability to directly control the security of information and systems, because administration responsibility passes to providers. This thesis focuses on cloud services auditing from the small and medium enterprises perspective. In introduction, this work defines information system audit terminology, characterizes cloud services and analyzes international legislation. Standardization organizations, published standards and methodologies that are widely respected in IT field are introduced. For the trust mediation in the cloud are important independent third-party audits and organizations specializing in the examination and control of cloud providers. The assumptions list is assembled on this basis to support screening process and to check, whether enterprise, service providers and services are ready for creating efficient and safe cloud system. The assumptions are applied to selected cloud service providers.

The thesis titled "Occupational safety and health" is focused on summarizing the current legal regulations that impose rights and obligations on employers and employees in the field of occupational health and safety. Introductory chapter emphasizes the understanding of the importance and function of safety aspects, historical context and role of the state. In the crucial second chapter the Czech legal regulations are analyzed in detail and the basic concepts of this issue (prevention of risk, work categorization, training...) are characterized. Following the legislation chapter three introduces options above standard approaches, by which the employer can be inspired or directly certified in task of the safety system solution. In the next chapter the analysis of the current legislation of "Occupational Services" is presented and also compared with the previous one. The theoretical part is concluded with an article concerning work accidents and occupational diseases, in which are also defined possibilities of accident insurance. In the case study, I focused on the application of the legal regulations for a particular employer, evaluation of the current state and the proposal for possible remedy measurements.

Tato práce se zabývá návrhem a implementací řešení pro jednotnou síťovou autentizaci pro operační systém Linux založeného na integraci systémových démonů WinBind a SSSD. Cílem je navrhnout takové řešení, které umožní autentizaci Linuxových klientů do domén spravovaných adresářovými službami Windows Active Directory a domén spravovaných adresářovými službami dostupnými na Linuxu současně. První dvě kapitoly seznámí čtenáře s autentizačními mechanizmy a technologiemi, které se pro tyto účely použivají na operačních systémech Windows a Linux. Třetí kapitola se zabývá jádrem práce a vysvětluje rozhodnutí učiněná při návrhu implementovaného řešení. Samotná implementace je pak popsána v kapitole čtyři. Poslední kapitoly popisují experimenty a testování pro vybrané případy užití s návrhy a popisem možných rozšíření do budoucna.

This thesis addresses the issue of mobile banking and analyzes applications, which provides mobile banking services. Aim of this thesis is to compare individual applications and analyze different approaches of applications based on Java technologies. Structure of this thesis is divided into four main parts. First part describes composition of bank services. It defines traditional and direct banking and points out differences between both concepts. Then it tries to show the position of mobile banking within the hierarchy of the bank. Second part gives detailed information about mobile banking itself. There is a research of current mobile banking situation on Czech market in the third part. This research includes products comparison and assessment. The last part focuses on presenting principles and problems of development on mobile phones through Java and then it analyzes these Java solutions in practice. The main contribution of this thesis is to provide information for companies or banks that choose to implement their own new mobile banking solution. Then this thesis should serve as initial analysis, which defines key parts of banking applications and how they should be properly processed. It could help to create efficient and successful mobile banking solution.

SOCMINT, or Social Media Intelligence has recently become focus of security community and started to be increasingly favored intelligence gathering method. Apart from providing relevant information and its cost-effective use, main advantage is that the potential of this intelligence technique is very diverse. Due to the relatively public nature of social networks, SOCMINT was generally regarded as unproblematic. However, on closer examination, this intelligence method presents a number of risks. The interest it raised from intelligence and security services in such a short time has given way to a situation where the techniques used by SOCMINT have begun to develop without precise methodological, legal and ethical rules. If the intelligence community wants to use this tool in its full potential and without risking negative response to SOCMINT techniques from the society, a framework must be set up as soon as possible to keep SOCMINT within the proper limits. This thesis aims to examine what opportunities and challenges SOCMINT brings to security community and society and propose how to deal with them.

The diploma thesis Czech mass media and Security Information Service: media perspective of the annual report of BIS focuses on the image of the annual report published by the Security Information Service (often used acronym "BIS") in selected mass media: servers Parlamentni listy, Aktualne, and daily newspaper Lidove noviny. The author is looking to answer the research question Do Czech mass media present the annual report of the BIS differently? If yes, why? The author follows the hypothesis that Czech mass media contribute a different image of BIS. The reason for these contrasting opinions lies both in the internal and external factors, such as changes in ownership structures, other relationships with the BIS, or various attributes of readers. Firstly, the author describes existing literature, theory and its application, and methodology. Concerning media theory is explained and linked to the idea of social constructivism. At the example of selected foreign information services, the author highlights the Security Information Service and mass media relationship complexity. In the empirical part, the diploma thesis continues with applying quantitative content analysis in the selected time range of 1996-2019. Determining relevant intelligence powers is very important for the effective performance of intelligence services in the fight against terrorism. The issue of the powers of Czech intelligence services in the fight against terrorism appears as a leading topic of security and current political discussions. The main part of the thesis is focused on the powers of Czech intelligence services in the fight against terrorism from terrorist attacks September 11, 2001, and the development of the intelligence services of the Czech Republic from 2001 to 2018 is mapped through a qualitative thematic analysis of mainly legislative documents.

The diploma thesis practically and theoretically deals with the concept - privatization of security. The aim of the practical part is to compare the conception of private security companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The comparison focuses on the factual data (number of PSC, employees, police forces, the amount of wages, the turnover), state regulation and mutual relation of public and private security providers. The findings of the practical part are applied to the theoretical concept of Rita Abrahamsen and Michael Williams - Theory of Security Assemblages. It is based on the claim that the privatization of security is part of a broader process of partial dismantling of the state and at the same time emerging "global assembly, which brings together national and global structures. The privatization of security is enshrined in both the social and the legal environment, and therefore the state itself can participate on its own dismantling by its acting. This is the case of the Czech Republic due to the absence of PSC's regulation, control mechanisms, minimum requirements for skilled employees PSC and the non-definition of the relationship between public and private security sector. The modern prison service is formed by three principles. One of them is a principle of security. The penology security can be understood from different points of view depending on if we look at the problem as general public, prison staff or the prisoners themselves. The development of the prison service, its total cultural level and material conditions reflect the cultural and economic state of the society. The way in which criminal offenders are treated expresses the relation of the society to an individual and the attitude to civil rights and liberties. The work consists of two basic parts. The theoretical part contains all records concerning security within the prison service. The current prison service has to do with lots of problems such as overcrowded prisons, low prisoners´ employment, unsuitable premises, insufficient hardware and unsatisfactory professional and personal qualities of prison staff. The practical part describes the realised qualitative research method, a semi-structured interview. Representatives of general public, prison service staff and prisoners were . interviewed with the aim to find out details of penitentiary security. This work has been a probe into the penology problem. The findings and conclusions can serve as a basis for further more detailed and extended investigation in the Czech Republic as a whole.

Diploma thesis "U.S. Homeland Security: Reality or Myth? Domestic Counterterrorism post-9/11" examines the change in U.S. domestic counterterrorism policy after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. More specifically, it focuses on the U.S. government's reorganization, which led to the creation of the Department of Homeland Security. As outlined in this thesis, the homeland security agenda was aimed at unifying the U.S. efforts to prevent terrorist attacks within the United States, reducing America's vulnerability to terrorism, and minimizing the damage and recovering from attacks that do occur. This thesis sets out to answer two interconnected questions: (1) whether the proposed homeland security agenda led to an efficient and unified system of U.S. domestic counterterrorism measures based on enhanced information sharing; and (2) why, in spite of the unique opportunity created by the 9/11 attacks, a comprehensive reorganization of the U.S. government to create a coherent homeland security agenda did not materialize. Throughout this thesis, it is argued that an efficient U.S. government reorganization was obstructed by three main factors. Diploma thesis 77 million PlayStation Network accounts stolen, does it affect us?: An analysis of Internet discussions revolving around this topic deals with the case of what so far seems to be the biggest case of user information leak on the Internet. The introduction outlines the history and development of PlayStation consoles and maps major attempts to jailbreak the last generation of the console by hackers. The following section presents PlayStation Network itself, whose users were at risk of the loss of their online identity because of the attack and chronologically describes the course of breach-related events including the subsequent theft of user data. It also focuses in detail on the case of GeoHot - a hacker whose dispute with Sony alienated fellow hacker community and initiated retaliatory activities which as a result led to loss of data. In my project I addressed the security of the National Park of Šumava in terms of emergencies. The objective of my thesis was to find out how the safety of people is ensured and if the Integrated Rescue System works effectively in case of extraordinary events in this area. When processing my work I have to reach final values upon which I would propose higher efficiency of activities in National Park of Šumava, based on that I processed the model of operating range of Integrated Rescue System units in the National Park. Furthermore, the method by which I came to the result of work consisted of data collection and their evaluation. National Park Šumava is large and rugged territory, and has its own specifics and differences in dealing with emergencies. In my work I have proposed measures to ensure security for the various bodies of the Integrated Rescue System, in terms of different spheres of security. The issue of safety and security of residents and visitors have been partially addressed by the Administration of the National Park Šumava, but the activities of the Integrated Rescue System is currently still not effective. In the proposals I have discussed adding activities in the Integrated Rescue Systems and measures that would from my perspective more effectively improved the quality of Integrated Rescue System activities and thereby to achieve better security of visitors and other people in the park. The results of my work will be used for more effective work of Fire Protection Business Units of National Park and Protected Landscape Area and for suggestions for further changes in security in the National Park.

This thesis addresses issues regarding military conscription within the European geographic area. It reflects lengthy and complicated evolution of military conscription, as well as its use case and eventual suspension or abolishment as a military recruitment tool in a post- Cold war Europe up until this day. Thesis also addresses academic and non-academic debate related to conscription and its development, typology, use-cases while it tries to uncover and summarize principal reasons, why was the concept of military conscription abandoned. Furthermore, it tries to evaluate those reasons against the current state of security environment in Europe, compare them and based on that, answer the question whether the relevance of those reasons is still valid or not. Especially in relation to the fact, that some of the countries that abolished conscription in the past, are bringing it back in form of mandatory military or civilian service, contrary to above mentioned reasons. Thesis comes to conclusion, that the relevancy of the issues with conscription from the past are less relevant in current European security environment.

Intelligence services are vital security systém elements of each democratic state. Access to the important intels without any lags is basic for state to survive. No state, nor the democratic nor the totalitarian can survive withou intelligence. On the other hand, strong based and rooted oversight is nature in democratic states. Basic purpose of this work is in examination of the situation in the Czech republic, where intelligence systém reform should be prepared as soon as possible. Especially in the light of missuse of the military intelligence by prime minister's mistress in 2013. In advance, the limits of current oversight methods and systém should be find. Deborah Stone's, proffesor of Dartmouth university, in the Czech republic rare theory called Policy Paradox is used as main for this work. It was choosen because it brings new view on the current intelligence system setup and its oversight. This analytical model see creation of public policy as continuous clash of personal and public interests. The thesis contains principles of first aid provided especially to children in selected injury and non-injury conditions. In practical part of this thesis I present quantitative research through questionnaire which was addressed to pedagogues of selected primary and secondary schools in Karlovy Vary. The data obtained were processed into graphs or tables. The main aim of this thesis was to discover the knowledge level of pre-medical first aid in teachers. The questionnaire evaluation suggests that the knowledge level of pre-medical first aid practices in by me selected teachers could be graded as B. It was discovered that the years of pedagogical experience in by me selected teachers might have an impact on the theoretical knowledge of providing pre-medical first aid.
