In this study, we present some results on the structure and properties of the solid solution of Bi0.5K0.5TiO3– BiFeCoO3 (BKT – BFCO) by Sol-gel method. Crystal structures of BKT – BFCO solid solutions were studies by XRD and Raman spectroscopy. The results were in good agreement with the previous reports of Bi0.5K0.5TiO3– BiFeO3 (BKT – BFO) and Bi0.5K0.5TiO3 – BiCoO3 (BKT – BCO) solid solutions. The magnetic properties were investigated via unsaturated M-H loop, which showed the competition of paramagnetic and antiferromagnetic ordering in BKT – BFCO. This work addresses the global sustainable development concerns by investigating the enhancement of piezo-photocatalytic efficiency in bismuth ferrite-based thin films synthesized using reactive high-power impulse magnetron sputtering. The influence of substrate type and Cr addition on structural, optical and ferroelectric properties of bismuth ferrite (BFO) based thin films was investigated. X-ray diffraction measurements showed the formation of different phases depending on the substrate used for sample growth. Besides, BFCO films show relatively low bandgap of 2.5 eV, can absorb the sunlight and convert the solar energy to electrically energy effectively. Abstract:
In this study magnetic force microscopy (MFM), piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM), and the newly developed piezomagnetic force microscopy (PmFM) techniques are used to probe the ferroelectric and ferromagnetic properties of BiFeO3-LiMn2O4 (BFO-LMO) heterostructures at nano-scale. The PmFM technique is also used to probe the ferromagnetic properties of CoFe2O4 (CFO) as a case study. The PFM and PmFM mappings of the BFO-LMO heterostructures clearly distinguish the BFO matrix and LMO nanopillars while the MFM mapping is ambiguous. The relatively high piezomagnetic response of BFO matrix is beli

Abstract:
Based on the precedent design fatigue curves and recent fatigue data obtained from materials with different mechanical properties, new design fatigue curves with high general versatility in air have been developed by The Japan Welding Engineering Society (JWES). Structural materials with different tensile strength are utilized in fatigue tests to verify the validity of these design fatigue curves and discuss the mean stress effect. The materials employed in this study are austenitic stainless steel (SS) SUS316LTP, carbon steel (CS) STPT370, low-alloy steels (LASs) SQV2A and SCM435H, all of whi
