This paper makes an attempt to explore the echoes of the vision of Hindu philosophy in the selected works of T. S. Eliot. The works of Eliot such as his primary essay “Tradition and the Individual Talent,” and his primary poems such as “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock,” “Gerontion,” The Waste Land, “Ash Wednesday,” “A Song for Simeon” and Four Quartets are under scrutiny in this paper. Eliot’s primary texts echo the vision of the Upanishads, the Bhagavad-Gita and the Patanjali Yoga Sutras of the Hindu (Vedic) philosophy. The vision is that rebirth is conditioned by one’s karma (actions). N

Abstract Familial myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) of childhood are extremely rare and have propensity towards malignant transformation such as leukemia and lymphoma. Due to the rarity of these cases, few cellular and mouse models are available for understanding the tumor biology. Therefore, the molecular mechanisms of malignant transformation remain poorly understood limiting the therapeutic progress to treat these conditions. Here, we report the development of a novel pediatric patient-derived xenograft (PDX) mouse model harboring mutations in the THPO and mitochondrial subunit NDUFB3 gene

These subhashitas quote elegant practical examples in them. They guide the children in distinguishing between the good and the

The paper analyses Syed Amanuddin’s “Don’t Call Me Indo-Anglian” from the perspective of a cultural materialist. In an effort to understand Amanuddin’s contempt for the term, the matrix of identity, language and cultural ideology has been explored. The politics of the representation of the self and the other that creates a chasm among human beings has also been discussed. The impact of the British colonialism on the language and psyche of people has been taken into account. This is best visible in the seemingly innocent introduction of English in India as medium of instruction which has subseq

This study examines the ancient Indian religious work, the Bhagavad Gita. This work of Hindu religious thought describes a mythic dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna, in which the issue of Arjuna's fighting against his family is discussed. Topics ranging from caste-bound duty to the metaphysical structure of reality are covered in this relatively short text. Whereas previous inquiries have focused solely on the philosophical doctrine of this work, this investigation examines the use and form of narrative elements within this dialogue to determine how they contribute to its potential effectiven

Abstract Retroviruses are RNA viruses that contain a reverse transcriptase (RNA-dependent DNA polymerase) by which they replicate and persist in cells as intermediate DNA proviruses. In humans and experimental animals, infections by these viruses are associated with neoplasms and a variety of neurologic disorders resulting from direct or indirect involvement of the central nervous system (CNS) (Johnson and McArthur, 1987). Human T-cell lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-1), the retrovirus responsible for T-cell lymphomas and leukemias, is associated with a chronic, slowly progressive myelopathy c
