Abstract:
Trikatu Gutika is an Ayurvedic formulation composed of three potent herbs: Pippali (Piper longum), Maricha (Piper nigrum), and Shunthi (Zingiber officinale). Known for its heating properties, Trikatu is primarily used to enhance digestion, boost metabolism, and improve bioavailability of other medicines. This combination acts as a digestive stimulant, carminative, and aids in breaking down Ama (toxins), thus playing a role in detoxifying the body. Its utility in managing obesity, respiratory issues, and metabolic disorders like hyperlipidemia and diabetes is also recognized. By stimulating Agni (digestive fire), Trikatu Gutika helps regulate blood sugar levels, making it useful in managing diabetes (Madhumeha). This abstract highlights Trikatu Gutika's significance in Ayurvedic practice for its effectiveness in enhancing the body's metabolic functions and treating conditions related to impaired digestion and metabolism. Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) is a beneficial Yoga posture in managing Madhumeh (diabetes). Practicing Bhujangasana helps stimulate the pancreas, encouraging insulin production and improving glucose metabolism. The backward bending of the spine in this pose stretches the abdominal muscles, massages the internal organs, and enhances circulation to the pancreas, liver, and kidneys, which are vital for controlling blood sugar levels. Regular practice of Bhujangasana helps reduce stress, a contributing factor to diabetes, and enhances the body's ability to utilize insulin more effectively. This abstract discusses Bhujangasana's role in managing diabetes through its physiological effects, supporting holistic health, and promoting better glycemic control in individuals with diabetes.

Abstract:
Background: Chronic Low back pain (LBP) is among the most prevalent conditions distressing the adult population worldwide. The use of complementary and alternative medicinal (CAM) therapies for the management of LBP have rapidly gained popularity, where Yoga is being widely used as mind-body CAM therapy for relieving back pain. The aim is to assess the effectiveness of Sphinx Yoga Pose (Salamba Bhujangasana), in managing CLBP and to measure the variations in the disability index, quality of life, and stress scores.
Methodology: A randomized controlled clinical trial will be conducted including the Nurses and midwives. Numerical Pain Rating (NPR) Scale, Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire, Fear Avoidance Beliefs Questionnaire (FABQ) will be used for initial screening. Subjects meeting inclusion criteria will be randomly assigned to either of the study group i.e. Group A (Experimental) and Group B (Control). The Group A subjects will be assigned with Sphinx Yoga therapy for 12 weeks while group B subjects will be assigned to usual care. Pre and post samples will be collected for Substance P (SP), Beta Endorphins (β-Endorphin), and Cortisol. Moreover, Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability index, World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL) and Sadaf Stress Scale (SSS), will be used at baseline and after 12 weeks follow-up (post-intervention).
Discussion: Offering a 12-week Yoga therapy to the subjects with CLBP might give an insight into its application and efficacy. To be precise, the findings of this research will support the wider implementation of Sphinx Yoga as a lifestyle intervention.
Trial registration: The trial was registered with ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT04721639).

It leads to many lifestyle disorders like Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, and obesity. The Grahani Roga occurs due to vitiation of Agni which can be correlated to irritable bowel syndrome to some extent. This article summarizes the ayurvedic perspective of Grahani Roga and its management by the treatment of Grahani in Ayurveda by use of herbs, yoga and lifestyle modification and pranayama practices like bhujangasana, sarvanagasana, pashchimottanasa etc.

Abstract:
Lifestyle diseases share risk factors similar to prolonged exposure to three modifiable lifestyle behaviors -- smoking, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity -- and result in the development of chronic diseases, specifically heart disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and some types of cancer. Hypertension is one of them. It is defined as the force exerted by circulating blood against the walls of the body’s arteries, the major blood vessels in the body. It is called a "silent killer". Most people with hypertension are unaware of the problem because it may have no warning signs or symptoms. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can lead to disability or even a deadly heart attack or stroke. Treatment and lifestyle changes can help in reducing Hypertension. Yoga can be preliminarily recommended as an effective intervention for reducing blood pressure. Yoga improves flexibility, reduces stress levels, and causes strengthening of muscles. Certain asanas like Bhujangasana, Setubandhasana, Ardhachakrasana, Uttanasana, Padottanasana, Ardhachandrasana, Tadasana, Shalabhasana, and Shavasana are found beneficial in Hypertension. Shavasana was mostly used for relaxation or as the starting pose for asanas.

Abstract:
With the increasing prevalence of ADHD in the global front, it is essential to explore different effective methods for providing support and intervention. The difficulties with social cognition are reflected in their limitations in emotional self-regulation, emotion recognition, and empathy. Though several interventions exist for ADHD, many at times, the effectiveness of eastern approaches are overlooked due to the limited awareness about its nature. Research suggests that systematic and regular practice of yoga helps to improve attention, control emotion, and reduce restlessness among them. Several asanas are found to be especially helpful for managing ADHD symptoms including cobra (bhujangasana) pose, cat-cow pose (bitilasana marjaryasana), downward-facing dog (adho mukha shvanasana), tree pose (vrikshasana), mountain pose (tadasana), among many others. The chapter gives a comprehensive summary on the application of yoga techniques on the improvement of social cognition in individuals with ADHD.
