Abstract:
In addition to a list of valid names and synonyms, as provided by the Trichoptera World Checklist, access to the primary literature itself is essential for research in Trichoptera taxonomy and systematics. To improve access to bibliographic information, we established the Trichoptera Literature Database, http://www.trichopteralit.umn.edu, a bibliographic database of over 8,500 citations of literature on Trichoptera. In addition to compiling bibliographical information, we provided access to over 450 high quality Portable Document Format files (PDFs) of historically important, rare, or out-of-print older works as well as more current literature. To provide universal web access to this bibliographical resource, we constructed a dynamic, custom-designed, web application (PHP, Symfony framework) created to import Extensible Markup Language (XML) from the EndNote data file. The database allows the user to search by author and year of publication, displays citations in a standard bibliographic format, and provides download links to available PDF literature. Existing bibliographies of Trichoptera literature and online access to Zoological Record databases were used to accumulate citations. Protocols for scanning literature, issues regarding copyright, and procedures for uploading citations and PDFs to the database are established. We hope to create a collaborative framework of contributors by seeking regional, subject, or language organizers from the community of Trichoptera workers to assist in completing and maintaining this resource with the goal of lowering barriers to efficient access to taxonomic information.

Abstract:
This paper addresses the different criteria for documentation and bibliographic citation of the ninth edition (2021) of the Manual of Style of the Modern Language Association (MLA), where, in addition to considering citations within a document and the section entitled "Works Cited", it also explores different guidelines in relation to inclusive language, bibliographical sources, endnotes, the correct use of orthography and the avoidance of plagiarism. In short, this essay is proposed as a useful guide for professionals in library science, editors, professors, students, and researchers in the fields of literature, arts, and humanities to write clearly and consistently, both within a manuscript and in the aforementioned works cited section.

Abstract:
Purpose – The academic tradition of adding a reference section with references to cited and otherwise related academic material to an article provides a natural starting point for finding links to other publications. These links can then be published as linked data. Natural language processing technologies are available today that can perform the task of bibliographical reference extraction from text. Publishing references by the means of semantic web technologies is a prerequisite for a broader study and analysis of citations and thus can help to improve academic communication in a general sense. The paper aims to discuss these issues. Design/methodology/approach – This paper examines the overall workflow required to extract, analyze and semantically publish bibliographical references within an Institutional Repository with the help of open source software components. Findings – A publication infrastructure where references are available for software agents would enable additional benefits like citation analysis, e.g. the collection of citations of a known paper and the investigation of citation sentiment. The publication of reference information as demonstrated in this article is possible with existing semantic web technologies based on established ontologies and open source software components. Research limitations/implications – Only a limited number of metadata extraction programs have been considered for performance evaluation and reference extraction was tested for journal articles only, whereas Institutional Repositories usually do contain a large number of other material like monographs. Also, citation analysis is in an experimental state and citation sentiment is currently not published at all. For future work, the problem of distributing reference information between repositories is an important problem that needs to be tackled. Originality/value – Publishing reference information as linked data are new within the academic publishing domain.

Abstract:
The first academic revolution which occurred in developed countries during the late 19th century made research a university function in addition to the traditional task of teaching. A second academic revolution has tried to transform the university into a teaching, research and socio-economic development enterprise. The scientific article has become an excellent practical means for the movement of new knowledge between the university and the socioeconomic environment. This work had two purposes. One was to present some general considerations regarding research and the scientific article. The second was to provide information about a computational tool which supports revising scientific articles citations; this step is usually done manually and requires some experience. The software allows two text files to be read, one containing the scientific articles content and another one the bibliography. A report is then generated allowing the authors mentioned in the text but not indexed in the bibliography to be identified and to determine which authors have been mentioned in the bibliography but who have not been mentioned in the text of the article. The software allows researchers and journal coordinators to detect reference errors among citations in the text and the bibliographical references. The steps to develop the software were: analysis, design, implementation and use. For the analysis it was important the revision of the literature about elaboration of citations in scientific documents.

Abstract:
Considering the importance of Birger Hjørland for InformationScience (IS), mainly in Knowledge Organization (KO) and related topics, this study aimed to analyze the self-citation behavior of Birger Hjørland, one of the main researchers in Domain Analysis (DA). The research universe was composed of the researcher's documents that were indexed in the Scopus database;89 articles were retrieved. To help with the choice and filtering of materials, the Law of Elitism was used, so 10 documents with 1,036 bibliographical references and 1,986 citations were analyzed. As a result, it was noted that there is a presence of synchronic and diachronic self-citation in all analyzed articles, however, most of the self-citations are in accordance with acceptable standards, not configuring an egocentric behavior by the author. In short, there are still countless questions to be explored in Hjørland's research, especially for researchers who work in the field of bibliometric studies of information.

Abstract:
The emergence of sport sociology related to sport and communication spurred a gradual entry into academic research. This study uses bibliometric analysis of bibliographic coupling, a phenomenon that occurs when two texts quote the same source. The purpose of this study is to explore publishing trends using the unit of analysis bibliographical coupling on organizational communication in sports. The results indicated that 419 publications had been indexed in the Scopus database between 1981 and 2022. Articles were the most common document published in the database, accumulating 265 papers. Social Sciences is the most significant subject area, with 214 records. A paper written by Winand et al. in 2019 entitled “International sports federations’ social media communication: A content analysis of FIFA’s Twitter account” has become a document that obtained more citations accruing a total strength of 91. Notably, this analysis alludes that the International Journal of Sport Communication has become the most multiple credentials, with 240 citations. Two scholars, Anagnostopoulos, C. and Chadwick, S., were credited as successful authors. Griffith University, from Australia, advanced 67 citations. The United States became the leading country with total link strength of 3876. It can be concluded that research on this topic is expanding due to the empowerment of research methodologies and the development of new research contributions in the form of new avenues. Researchers and practitioners can increase future understanding in this field by thoroughly examining sports communication in numerous research areas.

Positive behavior in the workplace is expected to be capable of completing the organization more effectively and increasing performance. One of the Islamic concepts about this behavior is ta'awun which is taken from the Qur'an and means helping each other in doing good. This research is a bibliographical search and is used by researchers to find sources of citations using citation techniques. There are many studies related to ta'awun, researchers agree that 4 indicators of ta'awun behavior are helping co-workers without being asked, helping with work even though it is not their job, helping co-workers is worship, and helping co-workers without expecting anything in return. Positive behavior in the workplace is expected to be capable of completing the organization more effectively and increasing work performance.

Abstract:
Background Given the vast number of standards and formats for bibliographical data, any program working with bibliographies and citations has to be able to interpret such data. This paper describes the development of Citation.js (https://citation.js.org/), a tool to parse and format according to those standards. The program follows modern guidelines for software in general and JavaScript in specific, such as version control, source code analysis, integration testing and semantic versioning. Results The result is an extensible tool that has already seen adaption in a variety of sources and use cases: as part of a server-side page generator of a publishing platform, as part of a local extensible document generator, and as part of an in-browser converter of extracted references. Use cases range from transforming a list of DOIs or Wikidata identifiers into a BibTeX file on the command line, to displaying RIS references on a webpage with added Altmetric badges to generating ”How to cite this” sections on a blog. The accuracy of conversions is currently 27% for properties and 60% for types on average and a typical initialization takes 120 ms in browsers and 1 s with Node.js on the command line. Conclusions Citation.js is a library supporting various formats of bibliographic information in a broad selection of use cases and environments. Given the support for plugins, more formats can be added with relative ease.

We found that, on balance, the AI engine generated a credible base content for our chosen topic, and proved particularly useful for some aspects of the writing process (such as formulating bibliographical references and suggested titles). The experiment deepened our understanding of the potentials and pitfalls of using Artificial Intelligence in the academic writing process, and of the need to stay abreast of this rapidly evolving field.

A consistent and reliable method of citing published works was an integral part of Linnaeus's great project on classification and nomenclature which began with the publication of Systema naturae in 1735. Unfortunately, this applies only to a limited extent for his Musa cliffortiana of 1736, a monograph about the banana, abounding in historical details, but which suffers from a series of cryptic or faulty references. Abstract:
Background: The appearance of a topic in a document stream is signaled by a burst of activity, with certain features rising sharply in frequency as the topic emerges. Although temporal bar graph (TBG) is frequently applied to present the burst spot in the bibliographical study, none of the research has combined the inflection point (IP) to interpret the burst spot feature. The aims of this study are to improve the traditional TBG and apply the TBG to understand better the evolution of a topic (e.g., publications and citations for a given author). Methods: The EISTL model, including entity, indicator, selection of a few vital ones (named attributes) with higher values in quantity (e.g., the citation data of the top 10 entities), TBG and line-chart plots to verify the trend of interest, was proposed to demonstrate the TBG as a whole. The IP locations compared to the median point in data along with the heap map and line-chart trend were identified. The burst strength was computed. A dashboard on Google Maps was designed and launched for bibliometric analysis. Four authors in MDPI (Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute) journals named to be Citation Laureates 2021 were recruited to compare their research achievements shown on the TBG, particularly displaying the burst spots and the recent developments and stages (e.g., increasing, ready to increase, slowdown, or decreasing). Results: We observed that the highest burst strengths in publication and citations are earned by Barry Halliwell (8.99) and Jean-Pierre Changeux (18.01). The breakthrough of TBG using the EISTL model to display the influence of authors in academics was made with 2 parts of the primary IP point and the trend feature in the data. Conclusion: The dashboard-type TBG shown on Google Maps is unique and innovative and able to provide deeper insights to readers, not merely limited to the publications and citations for a given author as we did in this study.

Abstract:
As all urban historians will know, the 1996 Consolidated Bibliography of Urban History is one of the main resources for those researching the history of cities and towns in Europe and the rest of the world. Analysis of its c. 20,000 entries is revealing. Just over 50 per cent concern urban population, physical, social and economic structure and a further 12 per cent are devoted to transport and communications and politics and administration. Only around 6 per cent of the citations refer to urban ‘culture’ in any form and virtually none concern music in towns and cities in pre-industrial Europe or indeed that of any time or place. In the light of this, it is clear that urban history still tends to be restricted largely to the ‘essentially infrastructural’ and is still considered to be mostly ‘a matter of demography, distributive economics and consequential social arrangements and re-adjustments’.

Abstract:
Background: Schizophrenia affects more than 21 million people worldwide. There have been a number of articles published in the literature regarding schizophrenia. It is unclear which authors contributed the most to the field of schizophrenia. This study examines which article entities (affiliated countries, institutes, journals, and authors) earn the most research achievements (RAs) and whether keywords in articles are associated with the number of article citations. Methods: As of August 25, 2022, 20,606 abstracts published on schizophrenia in psychiatry since 2017 were retrieved from the WoS core collection (WoSCC). RAs were measured using the category, JIF, authorship, and L-index (CJAL) score. The follower-leading cluster algorithm (FLCA) was used to examine clusters of keywords associated with core concepts of research. There were 7 types of visualizations used to report the study results, including Sankey diagrams, choropleth maps, scatter charts, radar plots, and cluster plots. A hypothesis was examined that the mean number of citations for keywords could predict the number of citations for 100 top-cited articles(T100SCHZ). Results: The results indicate that the US (18861), Kings College London (U.S. (2572), Psychiatry (14603), and Kolanu Nithin (Australia) (9.88) had the highest CJAL scores in countries, institutes, departments, and authors, respectively. The journal of Schizophrenia Res had higher citations (19,017), counts (1681), and mean citations (11.31) in journals. There was a significant correlation between article citations and weighted keywords (F = 1471.74; P < .001). Conclusion: Seven visualizations were presented to report the study results, particularly with thematic maps using scatter and 4-quadrant plots produced in R programming language. We recommend that more future bibliographical studies utilize CAJL scores and thematic maps to report their findings, not restrict themselves solely to schizophrenia in psychiatry as done in this study.

Purpose. To provide a bibliographical-historical perspective and main interest in the field of myopia. Methods. In this bibliographic study, the Web of Science Database was searched from 1999 to 2018. Recorded parameters included journal name, impact factor, year and language, number of authors, type and origin, methodology, number of subjects, funding, and topics. Results. Epidemiological assessments were the leading type of article (28%), and half of the papers were prospective studies. The number of citations for multicenter studies was significantly higher ( P = 0.034 ). The articles were published in 27 journals, with the majority in Investigative Ophthalmology, Vision Sciences (28%), and Ophthalmology (26%). Etiology, signs and symptoms, and treatment equally encompassed the topics. Papers addressing etiology, specifically genetic and environmental factors ( P = 0.029 ), signs and symptoms ( P = 0.001 ), and prevention, specifically public awareness (47%, P = 0.005 ), received significantly more citations. Treatment to decrease myopia progression was a much more common topic (68%) than refractive surgery (32%). Optical treatment was the most popular modality (39%). Half of the publications came from 3 countries: the United States (US), Australia, and Singapore. The highest ranked and cited papers came from the US ( P = 0.028 ) and Singapore ( P = 0.028 ). Conclusions. To our knowledge, this is the first report of the top-cited articles on myopia. There is a predominance of epidemiological assessments and multicenter studies originating from the US, Australia, and Singapore, assessing etiology, signs and symptoms, and prevention. These are more frequently cited, emphasizing the great interest in mapping the increase in the incidence of myopia in different countries, public health awareness, and myopia control.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to reveal data on the trend of research publications on guidance and counseling services and their implications for the development of research and guidance and counseling services in the future. The method used is the bibliographical analysis by taking data from the Google Scholar database as the most popular indexer in Indonesia. The results found 962 publications of research results on guidance and counseling services. The most productive place for publication in producing research on guidance and counseling services is “Jurnal BK UNESA” with a total of 28 articles. The “Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Indonesia” is most impact journal with H-Index: 24. The publication of Kadek Suhardita’s research results is the most referenced document with 95 citations, and Bahruddin Al Habsy is the researcher for guidance and counseling services with the most citations with a total of 163 citations. Counseling with models and techniques from the behavioristic approach is the most familiar among Indonesian researchers with 70 publications. The findings in the article mapping show that it is still possible for contextualization and integration between western counseling theory, especially developmental counseling within the scope and study of Indonesian culture, to be local wisdom, cultural perceptions to integrate with religious values (especially Islam as the majority religion). In addition, it is strongly encouraged to collaborate with researchers across institutions, cultures, and religious values because the results of this research map show that researchers are still working partially in their respective institutions, cultures, and religions.

Included are citations to 884 honors papers, master's theses, and doctoral dissertations emanating from Benin (89 titles), Burkina Faso (119 titles), Congo (50 titles), Côte d'Ivoire (81 titles), Guinée (64 titles), Mali (207 titles), and Sénégal (274 titles), produced from the late 1960s to the mid-1990s. (Gabon is covered in similar fashion by Christopher Gray, History in Africa 21 (1994), 413–33, who lists 87 items for that country.) The entries are arranged by author within each country and each includes all the relevant bibliographical details as well as a set of key words. Only the proper names in the latter, however, are included in the work's two indexes (which might better have been combined, especially since some items – e.g. Nzema – are wrongly placed).

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to examine the studies conducted on critical thinking in teacher education using bibliometric analysis method. Education Educational Research category of Web of Science was preferred as the database. 2,717 publications published between 1989 and 2022 were analyzed using citation, bibliographical coupling, and co-occurrence techniques. Obtained results reveal that the earliest works on critical thinking in teacher education were published in 1989. It was determined that critical thinking in teacher education was met with increased interest after 2010, and that 2019 was the year when the published papers reached a record high. An examination of the citation years of the studies showed that 2021 saw the highest number of citations. USA was found as the country with highest number of publications on critical thinking in teacher education. Most researchers publish their works on the field in the form of articles, and English is the most preferred publication language. The author with the highest citation figures in the field is found as Hwang, Gwo-Jen, while the most frequently cited work was written by Fang in 1996. Document with the highest number of links was authored by Gomez-Jarabo and Sosa in 2018. The keywords with the highest popularity in the studies of researchers in recent years, which have the highest total number of links, were identified as teacher education, higher education, education, learning, curriculum, professional development, creativity, technology, and pedagogy. In this context, researchers who will perform studies in the field are especially advised to prefer keywords with high citation rates in literature review stage. Similarly, researchers are recommended to examine the documents with high citation and link scores in the field. Finally, in their efforts to regulate teacher education policies and programs, countries are advised to find examples in national settings with high total link scores as regards critical thinking approach.

Abstract:
Background: Spinal surgeries are commonly performed by neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons, with many spine-related articles published by them. However, there has been limited research that directly compares their research achievements. This article conducted a comparative analysis of spine-related research achievements between neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons. This study examines differences in productivity and impact on spine-related research between them using these measures, particularly with a novel clustering algorithm. Methods: We gathered 2148 articles written by neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons from the Web of Science core collections, covering the period from 2013 to 2022. To analyze author collaborations, we employed the follower-leader clustering algorithm (FLCA) and conducted cluster analysis. A 3-part analysis was carried out: cluster analysis of author collaborations; mean citation analysis; and a category, journal, authorship, L-index (CJAL) score based on article category, journal impact factors, authorships, and L-indices. We then utilized R to create visual displays of our findings, including circle bar charts, heatmaps with dendrograms, 4-quadrant radar plots, and forest plots. The mean citations and CJAL scores were compared between neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons. Results: When considering first and corresponding authors, orthopedics authors wrote a greater proportion of the articles in the article collections, accounting for 75% (1600 out of 2148). The CJAL score based on the top 10 units each also favored orthopedic spine surgeons, with 71% (3626 out of 6139) of the total score attributed to them. Using the FLCA, we observed that orthopedic spine surgeons tended to have more collaborations across countries. Additionally, while citation per article favored orthopedic spine surgeons with standard mean difference (= −0.66) and 95%CI: −0.76, −0.56, the mean CJAL score in difference (= 0.34) favored neurosurgeons with 95%CI: 0.24 0.44. Conclusion: Orthopedic spine surgeons have a higher number of publications, citations, and CJAL scores in spine research than those in neurosurgeons. Orthopedic spine surgeons tend to have more collaborations and coauthored papers in the field. The study highlights the differences in research productivity and collaboration patterns between the 2 authors in spine research and sheds light on potential contributing factors. The study recommends the use of FLCA for future bibliographical studies.

Abstract:
It is hardly controversial to assert that recent work on Greek mythology is methodologically diverse. However, there is one body of writing which seems to have become a reference point against which scholars of many persuasions–not excluding orthodox positivist philologists and adherents of psychoanalysis–feel the need to define their own position. I mean structuralism. G.S. Kirk and, later, W. Burkert have conducted their dialogues with it; C. Segal and more unreconstructedly R. Caldwell have tried to accommodate Lévi-Strauss and Freud under the same blanket; a glance at bibliographical citations in studies of tragedy over the last twenty years will show how J.-P. Vernant and P. Vidal-Naquet have moved from the periphery to the centre (much as Finley did some time ago in ancient history). The polemical attitudes being struck by M. Detienne (from within the movement) and C. Calame are directly generated by over-confident structuralist attempts to map out the mental territory they claimed as their own.

Abstract:
Recent advances in poultry practice have produced new tools enabling the poultry industry to increase productivity. Aiming at increasing production quality, varying protocols of in ovo injection facilitate the introduction of exogenous substances into the egg to complement the nutrients that support embryonic development up to hatching, which are already available in the internal and external compartments. Due to embryonic sensitivity, adding any substance into the egg can be either advantageous or disadvantageous for embryonic survival and can influence hatch rates. Thus, understanding the relationship between poultry practices and production rates is the first step towards successful commercial application. This review aims to assess the influence on hatch rates of injecting different substances in ovo, including effects on embryo and chick health parameters where these are reported. Bibliographic mappings of co-authorship of citations, co-occurrence of keywords, and bibliographic coupling based on the in ovo injection technique and hatchability parameters were also performed. Using the Scopus database, 242 papers were retrieved, reviewed, and submitted for bibliographic mapping using the VOSviewer® software. This review provides a broad overview of just over 38 years’ research on the subject, revealing that studies have significantly increased and peaked in 2020, being produced primarily by US researchers and published primarily in the journal Poultry Science. It also reveals that despite negative reports relating to some substances in the embryo, in ovo delivery of substances may possibly change the poultry industry for the better in terms of production rates (hatchability) and/or poultry health.

Abstract:
AbstractDisambiguation of authors in digital libraries is essential for many tasks, including efficient bibliographical searches and scientometric analyses to the level of individuals. The question of how to link documents written by the same person has been given much attention by academic publishers and information retrieval researchers alike. Usual approaches rely on publications’ metadata such as affiliations, email addresses, co-authors, or scholarly topics. Lack of homogeneity in the structure of bibliographic collections and discipline-specific dissimilarities between them make the creation of general-purpose disambiguators arduous. We present an algorithm to disambiguate authorships in the Astrophysics Data System (ADS) following an established semi-supervised approach of training a classifier on authorship pairs and clustering the resulting graphs. Due to the lack of high-signal features such as email addresses and citations, we engineer additional content- and location-based features via text embeddings and named-entity recognition. We train various nonlinear tree-based classifiers and detect communities from the resulting weighted graphs through label propagation, a fast yet efficient algorithm that requires no tuning. The resulting procedure reaches reasonable complexity and offers possibilities for interpretation. We apply our method to the creation of author entities in a recent ADS snapshot. The algorithm is evaluated on 39 manually-labeled author blocks comprising 9545 authorships from 562 author profiles. Our best approach utilizes the Random Forest classifier and yields a micro- and macro-averaged BCubed $$\mathrm {F}_1$$ F 1 score of 0.95 and 0.87, respectively. We release our code and labeled data publicly to foster the development of further disambiguation procedures for ADS.

Abstract:
The objective of this essay is to recognize playful activities to develop language in 3-year-old children at the CDI Castillo de Colores. In this context, playful activities, environmental theory emphasizes the relevance of incorporating cultural and social elements in play and language. These activities must reflect the values, norms and practices of the society in which the child is immersed, providing meaningful and contextualized experiences. The applied methodology is of a bibliographic descriptive type used in this study that has allowed the collection and analysis of solid evidence that supports the importance of these activities in the development of language in this early stage of childhood. This implies that an exhaustive review of the existing literature on the subject of playful activities to develop language in 3-year-old children has been carried out, involving play, language, early stimulation and environmental theory. Through this bibliographical review, different sources and citations have been selected and analyzed that support the importance and impact of these activities in language development at this early stage. The ludic activities that are proposed to develop language in 3-year-old children include role-playing, symbolic play, songs, stories and interactive activities. These activities stimulate creativity, imagination, communication and social interaction. In addition, they promote the development of vocabulary, verbal fluency, listening comprehension and oral expression. Early stimulation, through these playful activities, provides enriched sensory and cognitive experiences that are essential for language development. These activities allow children to practice and hone their language skills, strengthening the neural connections necessary for language processing.

Abstract:
Coxiellosis or Q fever is an infectious zoonotic disease caused by the bacterium Coxiella burnetii. A systematic review using bibliographic research was carried out, and the focus was the relationship between C. burnetii infection and reproductive disorders in cattle [abortion/stillbirth/perinatal morality/weak calves (ASPW complex); retained foetal membranes (RFMs); metritis/endometritis; and infertility/sub-fertility]. The bibliographical search yielded 443 results from databases, but only 61 were deemed eligible. For each disorder, summary tables were prepared, and a scientific evidence score was calculated for each study based on four criteria to help assess the level of evidence for the impact of C. burnetii on the reproductive disorders assessed: type of publication (peer-reviewed or other); type of study (case–control/cohort or other); type of C. burnetii test (direct or indirect); and comparative statistical analysis (yes or no). In addition, summary tables also included information on the study population, country, authors and year of publication, key findings and an assessment of the evidence for an association. For the ASPW complex, RFMs, metritis/endometritis and infertility/sub-fertility, 43, 9, 8 and 19 studies provided data, respectively. On a scale of four, nearly 50% of all study citations had evidence scores of three or four. For ASPW, RFMs and infertility/sub-fertility, there is a significant body of evidence to support a deleterious role for Q fever. In contrast, for metritis/endometritis, the evidence is unclear. It is concluded that there is a substantial need for further research, particularly involving larger animal populations in more controlled settings. To provide more consistency, it is recommended that authors follow more precise definitions of reproductive parameters and more robust diagnostic methodologies.

Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to develop a meaningful single-source reference for Islamic economics and finance scholars concerning zakat intellectual structure published in journals indexed by the Scopus database. Design/methodology/approach The bibliometric method is used to describe and analyze the evolution of publication structure and its various co-relations such as co-citation, co-authorship and bibliographical coupling. Findings The authors discuss the influential and conceptual aspects of the published literature on zakat. An interesting finding is that few papers have received more than 50 citations. The analysis revealed that the Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research is the most cited source. Nevertheless, the list of the eight most cited papers reflects that research in this field is still dearth. Further, the authors find that zakat is discussed within the context of religion, its institutional framework, its role to eradicate poverty and distribution management of zakat. The authors also identify and present 14 research directions that will further stimulate scholarly work in the zakat field. Research limitations/implications The study confines on English papers and reviews published in journals indexed by the Scopus database only; hence, the study is representative of the moderate and high-quality papers published in this area of knowledge. Practical implications Researchers envision that this bibliometric study will complement meta-analysis and qualitative structured literature reviews as a method of reviewing and evaluating the scientific literature of this study area; thus, this may help researchers for futuristic research directions. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this paper is the first to tackle the zakat area from a bibliometric aspect. The authors believe that this will help scholars and researchers to stand on firm bases regarding the scientific development of this area of study.

Abstract:
This systematic review presents a brief and comprehensive summary of psychoeducational programs that have been designed for and tested in patients with fibromyalgia, with a focus on the features of the interventions and their main results regarding the patients’ clinical outcome. A bibliographical search performed in PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Cochrane Library and PsycInfo targeted publications, related to the terms “fibromyalgia” and “psychoeducation.” Information regarding the studies’ designs, age criterion, sample size, sex distribution and mean age of participants, and assessment time points, was recorded. If applicable, group distributions along with the main results regarding the patients’ clinical outcome, and features of the psychoeducational interventions were registered. Initial search eliciting 77 citations reduced to 10 relevant papers. Most of the reports come from two research projects from Spain (n = 6), worked with adult samples (n = 9), and most participants were females (88%–98%). Interventions reported significant improvements in the patients’ clinical outcomes in measures of pain intensity, fatigue, sleep quality, depression, anxiety, functional ability cognitive impairment, and quality of life. Results show not only that psychoeducational programs for the treatment of fibromyalgia are feasible, but also that they can be effective for managing physical and emotional symptoms, in particular, pain and depression.

This study aims to overview the research trends in Knowledge Management (KM) using a bibliometric and content analysis. Several research questions pertaining to the annual growth of KM publications, the key topics discussed, popular methodologies, country of origin, and citations analysis are posed and answered. In total, 475 articles published in the Journal of Information & Knowledge Management (JIKM) were retrieved from the Scopus bibliographical database. The results showed a relatively steady growth in the number of articles published in JIKM between 2002 and 2016. US scholars authored 21% of the articles published in JIKM, followed by those from India (almost 10%), Australia (8%), and the UK (7.5%). It is also noteworthy that scientific papers published in JIKM are referenced in highly cited journals of computer science, business, and library and information science. Topics such as knowledge discovery, taxonomy and ontology, and knowledge representation were the major KM research trends to arise from the current phenomena of “big data” and data analytics, as reflected in the subject matter of published works. A comparison between the counts for qualitative and quantitative research methodologies showed a clear tendency toward the latter, including questionnaires, while case studies, content analysis, and framework and conceptual papers also proved to be important for KM researchers.

Abstract:
Ticks and tick-borne diseases affect human and animal health worldwide. Although some tick-protective antigens have been identified and characterized, further research is needed for the development and application of effective anti-tick vaccines, which currently are unavailable for human protection. To study the trends and gaps in anti-tick vaccine approaches, herein we used scientometric analysis to evaluate several aspects of tick vaccinology. Co-authorship and citations networks pointed out two main research fronts, one focused on the laboratory protocols driving the recognition of candidate antigens and the other devoted to field experiments of protection against ticks. The analysis demonstrated the prominence of research in European countries on the topic. The scientometric approach allowed the recognition of isolated teams working casually on the topic, the lack of cooperation between middle- and low-income countries, and the need for sustained and integrated research. Most important, we identified a considerable lack of new candidates for vaccine development, as well as the participation of African and Asian countries. These results provide significant insights obtained from bibliographical analysis, suggest the strength and weaknesses in this field of research, and highlight new directions to advance in the development of effective vaccines for the control of tick infestations and tick-borne pathogens.

Abstract: A short satire, An Essay of the Learned Martinus Scriblerus concerning the Origine of Sciences , concerns the alleged role of an anthropoid race of pygmies in the evolution of human knowledge. It was first published in the Miscellanies of Alexander Pope and Jonathan Swift in 1732, and has been attributed to both of these authors. The aim of this article is to provide the first full account of the Essay in its context. This draws on information relating to the literary, biographical, and bibliographical circumstances in which members of the Scriblerian group produced the work. Among issues considered are relevant controversies engaged in by fellows of the Royal Society, notably Dr. John Woodward; the debt of the Essay to a pioneering work of physical anthropology, Edward Tyson's Orang-Outang (1699), first explored by Richard Nash; and a survey of other sources, as revealed by citations and hidden allusions. The concluding argument seeks to establish the close filiation of the Essay with other Scriblerian satires and to suggest that it serves as a template for the subgenre that these came to embody. A case is made for the key role in composition taken along with Pope by Dr. John Arbuthnot, FRS, a polymath with special interests in comparative anatomy.

The journals were retrieved by searching the “Obstetrics & Gynecology” category in the Journal Citation Report (JCR) in the Web of Science, and journals in different quartiles (Q1-Q4) were identified by applying the JIF Quartile filter. Eight hundred forty citations were selected from articles in the first five Q1 to Q4 journals using systematic sampling and article type citations were included in the study (730 citations). Bibliographic elements were assessed for citation errors. Findings show that 554 citations (75.89 %) involved errors. Only 24.1 per cent of the citations had no errors. The highest citation errors were related to the volume and issue, with 582 major errors (79.72 %). The citation accuracy in the Q2 and Q3 journals is higher than in other journals. The high rate of citation errors, especially in volumes and numbers, indicates that the journals need to pay attention to citation accuracy in these sections and the use of valid and complete citation styles.

Abstract:
Purpose Beyond budgeting has received an increased amount of scholarly attention in recent years. However, because most of the published research is discrete and unconnected, an overall picture of what is known about beyond budgeting has not evolved. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the available research on beyond budgeting. In particular, the authors compare conceptual papers that mostly stress the benefits of beyond budgeting with empirical evidence on beyond budgeting implementation and offer ideas for future research on beyond budgeting. Design/methodology/approach This paper uses systematic literature review methods. After an extensive database search and examination of references/citations, 32 papers were analysed with regard to bibliographical information, research design and findings. Findings Although proponents of beyond budgeting have put substantial effort into developing and promoting this concept, numerous empirical studies demonstrate that many organizations being investigated would still rather improve traditional budgeting than abandon it completely. This review also highlights the main criticisms of traditional budgeting, development of management control systems under beyond budgeting and factors hindering the implementation of beyond budgeting. Research limitations/implication This paper suggests that further research is needed on the scaling of beyond budgeting, organizational changes under beyond budgeting and challenges resulting from the implementation of beyond budgeting. Originality/value The paper is the first comprehensive literature review on beyond budgeting.

Abstract:
Introduction:Depression is the most frequent psychiatric disorder encountered in patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), with a life-time prevalence of approximately 50%. INF-beta (INF-β) shows beneficial effect on the course of MS. Although it has been suggested that interferons may be associated to depression, the validity and the nature of this relationship remain unclear regarding INF-β. The objective of this study is to review the scientific literature in order to elucidate the relationship between depression and INF-β therapy. Methods:This systematic review was based on Medline, Embase and, PsycLIT literature searches (through January 2005), supplemented by bibliographical citations in identified papers. Results:The majority of studies ruled out a correlation between INF-β1a/1b and depression in MS patients. However, patients with a recent history of depression may be at higher risk for depression particularly in the early phase of treatment (first 6 months), even if they are not depressed at the initiation of medication. There is an association between depressive symptoms and discontinuation of INF therapy but INF-β does not seem to be associated with suicide attempts. Treating patient-reported depression increases adherence to treatment. Conclusions:Clinicians should not refrain from including patients with MS in INF-β treatment programs, even those with depression in the past or at the present time. Screening, monitoring, and early antidepressant treatment is necessary to optimize IFN therapy for the majority of patients with MS.

Abstract:
BACKGROUND: Fibroepithelioma of Pinkus (FeP) is an uncommon and controversial skin lesion, sharing features of both basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and trichoepithelioma. In this article, we present a case of FeP and synthesise current concepts on the etiopathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of this uncommon tumour.CASE REPORT: We report the case of an 88-year-old male patient presenting to the dermatology clinic for a sharply demarcated, pink, exophytic cutaneous tumour situated in the left inguinal region. The histopathological examination performed after complete surgical excision of the lesion revealed a diagnosis of FeP. A systematic review of the literature was conducted. The terms `fibroepithelioma` and `Pinkus` have been searched in bibliographical databases, including PubMed and Google Scholar, without time limitation up to February 15th, 2017. Seventy-nine articles that fulfilled all the required conditions were identified. Relevant citations and additional articles identified from references have been assessed. The systematic review included a total number of 452 cases of FeP.CONCLUSION: Even though FeP is considered a relatively rare tumour, its true incidence rate might be higher than previously believed. The clinical aspects of the lesion described in this paper and its location in the left lower quadrant of the abdomen are classic features of FeP. Histopathologic examination revealed features of both BCC and trichoepithelioma. Further epidemiological studies are required to clarify whether patients with FEP should be screened for the occurrence of other malignancies.

Abstract:
Objective. This review aimed at searching for scientific literature on mobile apps for the management of comorbid overweight/obesity and depression/anxiety and providing a brief and comprehensive summary of their main features, targeted groups, and relevant results. Methods. A bibliographical search was performed in Pubmed, PsycNet, Web of Science, ResearchGate, and Lilacs databases. The terms “obesity” and “overweight” were introduced in combination with “anxiety” and “depression” and “mobile app (application),” “smartphone app (application),” “android app (applicattion),” “iOS app (application),” “mobile health app (application),” and “mHealth app (application).” Results. The initial search eliciting 204 citations was reduced to 7 relevant papers (4 original articles, 1 brief communication, and 2 study protocols). All publications were from the last five years, most were produced by research teams from the United States. All had adult samples, and interventions mostly followed a cognitive behavioral framework. Regarding mobile apps, five studies only used one to monitor weight and physical activity, one study to provide therapy to improve psychological wellness, and one study to monitor cognitions and emotions. No mobile app was found for the simultaneous management of overweight/obesity and depression/anxiety. Conclusions. The prevalence and costs related to overweight/obesity and depression/anxiety are significant and likely to increase. Very often these conditions overlap; thus, it would be recommendable to treat their comorbidity simultaneously. Nevertheless, no mobile app has been designed for this purpose, which would help to reduce service provision costs and make treatment more easily accessible for patients.

Abstract:
Objective. To provide a brief and comprehensive summary of the recent evidence from clinical trials testing psychotherapeutic interventions in patients with fibromyalgia with particular interest in their possible effect on physical pain. Methods. Bibliographical search was performed in PubMed, PsycInfo, Web of Science, Scopus, and Cochrane Library databases. Content of the manuscripts was studied to obtain, if available, the following information: year of publication, location of the research team, design, type of psychotherapeutic intervention tested, pain measures, and a brief description of the psychotherapy, groups, and outcomes regarding physical pain. Results. Initial search eliciting 475 citations got reduced to 13 relevant papers. Most research studies from Spain (n = 8) are randomized control trials (n = 10) and used guided imagery (n = 5) or cognitive behavioral therapy (n = 4). The Visual Analogue Scale (n = 4) and the Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (n = 4) were the physical pain measures mostly used. Improvements on physical pain were reported on all studies with published results; nevertheless, only in five cases, differences were significant. Conclusions. Evidence on the effect of psychotherapy on physical pain in patients with FS was divergent; though most studies report a reduction in pain, this was not always lasting and/or significant. Diversity of the results might be due to the selected psychotherapeutic approaches, assessment tools, and other internal (e.g., personality traits, (sub)clinical psychiatric symptoms, and treatment adherence) and external (e.g., family environment and social support) variables worth to be considered in the future research.

Abstract:
In-text citations have been put forward as a new way to overcome the bias inherent in bibliographic citation analysis. In-text citation patterns have been used as the basis for citation analysis previously, but all the evidence has come from international journals. However, many countries have more local journals than international journals. This paper uses in-text citation analysis to examine local journals in Indonesia. The paper aims to determine the location-based citation pattern in the text and its effect on the articles’ and authors’ rankings. We collected articles from seven food science journals and then parsed these articles to detect the citations and their locations within the text. Pre-processing included normalizing section names, developing a database, and matching citation identities. The rankings were based on sections and then evaluated using the Spearman rank correlation in the final step. The results revealed that Indonesian journals did not exhibit the same patterns as international journals. There were differences in the section locations of the highest percentages of citations, the distributions of publication years, and the ranking methods. The correlations between sections indicated that the citations in the results and discussion section should be give the highest weight, followed by those in the method section, while the lowest weight should be assigned to citations in the introduction. These results need to be strengthened with further research using more extensive data and fields. Other findings, such as nonstandard and inconsistent citations, made developing an automatic citation detection system for local journals challenging.
