Abstract:
The SIMBAD astronomical database hosted by the CDS provides basic data, cross-identifications, bibliography and measurements for astronomical objects outside the solar system. The CDS receives the bibliographic meta-data of the articles published in the main astronomical journals directly from the publishers. How we receive the data and their format vary from one publisher to the next. These data are first extracted and stored in files with a standardised format. Then, to avoid errors or misprints, we perform different tests on these data: - Author names are compared to a reference list maintained at CDS, and the keywords are compared with the AAS list - Astronomical objects are verified by checking their name in the SIMBAD database - A completion test checks that all of articles of a journal volume are present The next step identifies whether an astronomical object appears inside a title, a keyword or an abstract, and if so, we add a link to the object in SIMBAD. Once all of the verifications and corrections have been made we add the meta-data into SIMBAD. We also add other information such as the number of different astronomical objects studied in the paper, the presence tables and their links to VizieR, any new acronyms, as well as some comments. New developments are in progress to automatically extract the data from the tables in the articles (that have not been processed by, or provided to VizieR) . In addition, each night automatic checks are executed to list the new data and to test the coherence of these data in SIMBAD.

Abstract:
Objective: The aim of this study is to synthesize the existing evidence on Goal Directed Perfusion Methods: The search for the existing evidence was made in the MEDLINE databases, using the PubMed search engine. The initial search term was “goal directed perfusion.” In order to narrow the search, MeHS terms such as “cardiac surgery” and “cardiopulmonary bypass” were used together with the initial term and the Boolean operator AND. Results: At first, 238 references were obtained, combined whit “cardiac surgery” there were 49 references and finally whit “cardiopulmonary bypass” 21. We read 23 articles. Levels of oxygen delivery (DO2i) > 272 ml/min/m2, minimize hemodilution an maintain hematocrit values > 26% decrease acute kidney injury. A carbon dioxide production VCO2 i > of 60 ml/min/m2 and DO2i/VCO2i < 5 are predictors of hyperlactatemia. The mixed venous oxygen saturation (SvO2) and the oxygen extraction rate (ERO2) are better predictors of transfusion during extracorporeal circulation than hemoglobin value. The majority of the bibliography refers to adult surgery, but the application of GDP to the pediatric perfusion is beginning. Conclusion: The improvement of “optimal” perfusion, considered the gold standard, towards goal directed perfusion is already in use. Many hospitals are incorporating online monitoring of the new perfusion parameters in order to apply a specific perfusion to each patient as well as his metabolic needs during extracorporeal circulation.

Abstract:
Purpose – The academic tradition of adding a reference section with references to cited and otherwise related academic material to an article provides a natural starting point for finding links to other publications. These links can then be published as linked data. Natural language processing technologies are available today that can perform the task of bibliographical reference extraction from text. Publishing references by the means of semantic web technologies is a prerequisite for a broader study and analysis of citations and thus can help to improve academic communication in a general sense. The paper aims to discuss these issues. Design/methodology/approach – This paper examines the overall workflow required to extract, analyze and semantically publish bibliographical references within an Institutional Repository with the help of open source software components. Findings – A publication infrastructure where references are available for software agents would enable additional benefits like citation analysis, e.g. the collection of citations of a known paper and the investigation of citation sentiment. The publication of reference information as demonstrated in this article is possible with existing semantic web technologies based on established ontologies and open source software components. Research limitations/implications – Only a limited number of metadata extraction programs have been considered for performance evaluation and reference extraction was tested for journal articles only, whereas Institutional Repositories usually do contain a large number of other material like monographs. Also, citation analysis is in an experimental state and citation sentiment is currently not published at all. For future work, the problem of distributing reference information between repositories is an important problem that needs to be tackled. Originality/value – Publishing reference information as linked data are new within the academic publishing domain.

Abstract:
This bibliographical study offers a list of the first printed language manuals in Western Europe expressly designed to teach a particular foreign language to speakers of a particular tongue. Hence, the study lists references to sixteenth-century grammars, dictionaries and language handbooks with the possible linguistic combinations of Italian, French, Spanish and English, the first three being the most popular modern languages in sixteenth-century Western Europe and hence the most representative ones offering an insight into the foreign language learning map of the time. The bibliographical study is preceded by an introduction to the manner in which foreign tongues were taught and learned in the early modern period, and is completed by a selection of references to secondary sources that have been researched on each linguistic combination.

Abstract:
The emergence of electronic publishing has brought a need to revise established rules and standards within the information sector. Several countries have revised or are about to revise their legal deposit laws in order to safeguard new forms of published information. One of the first of these appeared in Norway in 1990; delivery is likely to be replaced by access during the active time of online service, after which the final version of the database will be delivered for archiving. There is a risk that countries such as Sweden, where legal deposit applies only to electronic documents such as CD-ROMs that are distributed through the usual retail channels, will lose that part of their cultural heritage that is accessible online only. ‘Metadata’ – bibliographical and other information on the document – should help to ensure that it continues to be accessible. ISO work on standardization for bibliographic references to electronic documents is nearly complete, and IFLA has updated the rules for standard bibliographic description for computer files.

Abstract:
Abstract This bibliographical essay documents for the first time the treatises written on the Sunni Islamic doctrine of tašabbuh—the reprehensible imitation of others, especially non-Muslims. Since the formative period of Islam, tašabbuh has played an important role in shaping both Islamic orthodoxy and Muslim inter-religious relations. But due to a focus on the doctrine’s historical origins, existing scholarship has yet to identify the Islamic literary genre that I call “the treatises against imitation,” which was a post-formative development. To fill this scholarly lacuna, this study traces the genre’s historical evolution by creating an archive of available treatises against imitation, pre-modern and modern. Chronologically arranged and periodized, the bibliographical entries include descriptive summaries of each treatise, with references to published and/or manuscript editions and existing scholarship on the text and its author.

This article presents an analysis of the evolution of video art and its approach to performance by applying the principles of video-performance to the works of Bill Viola. Its goal is to trace the historical references of video art, going through its ramifications to demonstrate how this aesthetic becomes multisensory artistic experience: art as experience that touches the senses of the body, becoming a “corpo-sensory” aesthetics, conceptual and physical. Methodologically, it studies -through bibliographical references- the historical and socio-political context influencing these aesthetic transformations. Moreover, it analyzes the works of Bill Viola, as presented in the film Bill Viola, the experience of the infinite.

Abstract:
Background Given the vast number of standards and formats for bibliographical data, any program working with bibliographies and citations has to be able to interpret such data. This paper describes the development of Citation.js (https://citation.js.org/), a tool to parse and format according to those standards. The program follows modern guidelines for software in general and JavaScript in specific, such as version control, source code analysis, integration testing and semantic versioning. Results The result is an extensible tool that has already seen adaption in a variety of sources and use cases: as part of a server-side page generator of a publishing platform, as part of a local extensible document generator, and as part of an in-browser converter of extracted references. Use cases range from transforming a list of DOIs or Wikidata identifiers into a BibTeX file on the command line, to displaying RIS references on a webpage with added Altmetric badges to generating ”How to cite this” sections on a blog. The accuracy of conversions is currently 27% for properties and 60% for types on average and a typical initialization takes 120 ms in browsers and 1 s with Node.js on the command line. Conclusions Citation.js is a library supporting various formats of bibliographic information in a broad selection of use cases and environments. Given the support for plugins, more formats can be added with relative ease.

The data base of photometric properties of galaxies has grown enormously in the last few years. Surveys in various colors, detailed studies of selected objects, and a swarm of papers with underlying photometric information have invaded the market, fostered by advances in the technology of observations and by improvements and wider availability of reduction facilities. A bibliographical compilation, of great use in the jungle of old and modern references, has been published by Davoust and Pence (1982), and is currently updated (Pence and Davoust 1985).

Studies in structural optimization in Russia began more than a century ago and initially satisfied the needs of railroad engineering. Later Soviet academic researchers and engineers considered the optimum design of compressed and twisted bars, beams, arches, rigid frames, plates, shells, and various 3D structures under single and multiple statical, dynamical, and moving loads. Some new formulations of the optimization problems have been introduced and solved using classical and new mathematical methods. Several hundred contributions are briefly covered with references to 50 bibliographical sources.

In the last years of the Spanish dictatorship and transition to democracy, the journal Antorcha de Paja developed an intense work on the Spanish culture from a position of rebelliousness and heterodoxy. Forty years after its appearance, we analyze in this article the references to the cultural conditions and the sociopolitical context where it is developed. The study starts from the editorials published in each number of the journal. A bibliographical review of the contributions of other experts in the topic is also carried out.

Abstract. Title of the paper: Utilization of urea space for estimation of body fat content in dairy cow The urea space 12 minutes after intravenous administration of a defined amount of urea (HVR12) is unsuitable for estimation of body fat content in dairy cows. There is no connection between the absolute body fat content and the absolute HVR12. Between the relative body fat content and the relative HVRI2 combined a low significant measure of accuracy is established. Bibliographical references about unsatisfactory results by use of this method particulary in lactating cows are confirmed.

the current rural conflicts are the result of a historical process of deterritorialization and exclusion, intensified from the advance of capitalism over agriculture. Socio-territorial movements, such as the MST movement, challenge hegemonic power and contest the legality of capitalist property, mobilizing peasants to occupy lands that do not carry out their social function, transforming them into agrarian reform territories in Paraná. This paper, supported by field data and bibliographical references, aims to study the colonization, territorial transformations and rural conflicts, taking as reference the municipality of Barbosa Ferraz, in the Paraná State Midwestern mesoregion.

Abstract:
Medicinal plant is an important element of indigenous medical systems all over the world. The ethno botany provides a rich resource for natural drug research and development. Carica papaya is used in Traditional Medicine since a long time. Our investigations started by a search of relevant literature on the plant species. Databases such as Science direct, PubMed, Google Scholar and Scopus were used successively to retrieve the articles on C. papaya. The chemical structures of isolates compounds from this plant were drawn using ChemBioDraw Ultra 12.0 software package. Finally, bibliographical references were made using bibliographical software "Mendeley". Results show that the plant C. papaya contains various secondary metabolites, minerals and vitamins. The plant species is reported to possess various pharmacological properties like anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-diabetic, anti-hyperlipidemic, larvicidal effects, etc. These pharmacological activities could due to the presence of various phytochemicals present in this plant species. The present review can therefore help inform future scientific research towards the development of novel drugs of relevance from C. papaya to combat various ailments including Sickle cell disease.

Abstract:
Summary The syntactic views of two Dutch structural linguists, A. W. de Groot (1892–1963) and P. C. Paardekooper (b.1920) are considered in their historical context. It appears to be possible to connect de Groot’s work with that of the Prague School; the notion of opposition, as developed in the Prague School with respect to phonological phenomena, is applied by de Groot to syntax. Paardekooper’s oeuvre, by contrast, appears to be connected with that of the American structuralists rather than that of their European colleagues, although his bibliographical references suggest otherwise. The notion of ‘distribution’ for instance is fundamental in his work.

This paper gives an overview of the main studies on the subject and, with detailed bibliographical reference, draws a picture which presents the main features of Spanish rhetorical theory in the sixteenth century. Thus, references are made to the Council of Trent and its encouraging of sacred rhetoric, to the weight of Ciceronianism among Spanish rhetoricians -albeit some exceptions-, to the rigid detachment between rhetoric and poetics, to the relatively high production on the subject and to the limited influence of rhetoric and classical learning in the teaching of the time.

Abstract The present paper continues the series of floristic inventories of the main Romanian rivers in the Carpathian Mountains (from which have been published those of Mureş, Sadu, Olt, Someş, Criş, Târnave, Tisa). In this work the author lists 204 plant taxa (hydrophilic, meso-hygrophilic and hygrophilic) identified by the author or by other botanists in the Lotru Valley basin. Noted for each species were life form, floral element, ecological preferences for humidity (U), temperature (T), soil reaction (R), corology and coenology. Bibliographical sources are coded with numbers (see the references at the end of the paper). The sign “!” indicates that the author has seen the plant in that locality.

Parents' active participation in the diagnostic and therapeutic process of children with developmental disorders is considered by experts to be an important factor in the long-term struggle to educate people with autism. According to relevant bibliographical references, the benefits of parental education have been proven for decades. Researchers [1], [2] underline the positive outcomes of parent behavior training programs for children with developmental disabilities. Surveys conducted to date show that results show parents can implement the strategies they have recently learned and are generally very pleased with parent's education programs. However, findings related to children's communication and socioemotional skills, parent-child interactions were unclear [3].

Abstract:
This paper consists of short reports on three projects which evaluated online chemical hazards services. Two were studies of bibliographical databases and one a study of databanks. Test queries were used in the evaluations. The chemical hazards bibliographic databases studied were HSEline, CISDOC, Laboratory Hazards Bulletin (LHB), Chemical Hazards in Industry (CHI), Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH), Safety Science Abstracts (SSA), EMBASE, BIOSIS, MEDLINE and CASearch. The main conclusion reached was that whilst all the databases included relevant references none provided comprehensive coverage for the test queries. HSEline produced the highest number of relevant references and LHB and CHI also performed well, but most of the other databases were useful for some of the queries. The chemical hazards databanks compared were RTECS (Registry of Toxic Effects of Chemical Substances), HSDB (Hazardous Substances Data Bank), OHMTADS (Oil and Hazardous Materials - Technical Assistance Data - system), BAKER, CHRIS (Chemical Hazards Response Information System) and CESARS (Chemical Evaluation Search and Re trieval System). The main conclusions of the evaluation were that HSDB gives the widest subject coverage and has the longest datasheets. Its coverage of animal toxicology is as good as that of RTECS. HSDB is the best source for human toxicity information and has the same amount or more information than BAKER and CHRIS on emergency actions. RTECS concentrates on toxic effects and has little information on physical/chemical properties, manufacture, emergency han dling, chemical reactions or explosive properties. OHMTADS does not contain first aid procedures but gives concise infor mation on other emergency actions. BAKER and CHRIS are useful for substance identification, waste management and emergency spill procedures.

This paper is the outcome of a bibliographical review that aims at systemizing references in the literature to concepts involved in the training and work processes of community health agents under the Community Health Agent Program (PACS) and the Family Health Program. Published in scientific journals, manuals and official documents through to October 2004, 504 articles were consulted, of which 49 were selected and examined in full. The findings were systematically arranged under four themes, reviewing controversial aspects raised by authors, outstanding among which are: the 'discourse of change' statements in official documents, defining the Family Health Program as a reorientation strategy for the Primary Healthcare Model; the scope and ambiguity of understandings of the role of mediator and definitions of the duties and responsibilities of Community Healthcare Agents, as well as the gaps in their training.

Ferns comprise both extant and fossil taxa displaying a broad morphological and anatomical disparity. In order to compare their features, we propose a knowledge base of 46 genera, 101 characters and 273 character states with illustrations, bibliographical references and annotations with terms from the Plant Ontology Consortium (amongst others). The knowledge base is designed with the Xper² program. Descriptions are exhaustive (i.e., all the taxa have been given values for every character) thanks to the management of inapplicable and missing data. The Xper² format is compatible with the standard interchange format Structured Descriptive Data (SDD). The user-friendly and intuitive environment provided by Xper2 should help users to take ownership of our conceptualization.
