Abstract:
In addition to a list of valid names and synonyms, as provided by the Trichoptera World Checklist, access to the primary literature itself is essential for research in Trichoptera taxonomy and systematics. To improve access to bibliographic information, we established the Trichoptera Literature Database, http://www.trichopteralit.umn.edu, a bibliographic database of over 8,500 citations of literature on Trichoptera. In addition to compiling bibliographical information, we provided access to over 450 high quality Portable Document Format files (PDFs) of historically important, rare, or out-of-print older works as well as more current literature. To provide universal web access to this bibliographical resource, we constructed a dynamic, custom-designed, web application (PHP, Symfony framework) created to import Extensible Markup Language (XML) from the EndNote data file. The database allows the user to search by author and year of publication, displays citations in a standard bibliographic format, and provides download links to available PDF literature. Existing bibliographies of Trichoptera literature and online access to Zoological Record databases were used to accumulate citations. Protocols for scanning literature, issues regarding copyright, and procedures for uploading citations and PDFs to the database are established. We hope to create a collaborative framework of contributors by seeking regional, subject, or language organizers from the community of Trichoptera workers to assist in completing and maintaining this resource with the goal of lowering barriers to efficient access to taxonomic information.

Abstract:
Research activities aim the production of new knowledge. For this reason, we were interested in the formal knowledge management practices introduced by research organizations working on the implementation of a quality management system. A fieldwork carried out in these organizations showed us the difficulties to define methods supporting the realization of research projects, taken as the fundamental structure for the production of knowledge. Then, the analysis of the development of research projects enabled us to propose an approach, shown through a prototype of a software tool, based on the capitalization of the bibliographical work carried out by researchers. The approach contextualises a part of the analyses of the contents carried out by researchers through the definition of a network of artifacts (documents, concepts, annotations, projects, and information on the researchers)

Abstract:
This study investigates the gender trends within psychology since 1990 using a quantitative assessment of enrolments and graduations, professional registrations, academic staff composition, and publication output in psychology in South Africa. Among the current trends, five are noteworthy: the rapid growth of the profession; the disproportionate increase in the number of female psychologists; the disproportionate number of White psychologists; the increasing emphasis on practical aspects of the discipline and the decline of the scientific; and the under-representation of women as authors in psychology publications.

Abstract:
Subarachnoid haemorrhage secondary to ruptured cerebral aneurysm and clipping are associated with substantial morbidity and mortality. Despite favourable neurological outcomes, many patients report persistent cognitive and emotional deficits post intervention. To compare cognitive and quality of life outcomes in patients with ruptured aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage treated with surgical clipping or endovascular coiling. Twenty-four patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage treated by clipping or coiling were retrospectively assessed by use of a battery of cognitive tests and a quality of life questionnaire. All patients had favourable grades on admission, that is, WFNS <= 2 and favourable neurological grades on discharge, that is, GOS <=2. treated with surgical clipping or endovascular coiling. Patients in the two treatment groups were matched on age, years of education and on premorbid IQ. The two groups were further matched on time from intervention to assessment and number of treatments. The cognitive performance of the treatment groups was compared to hospitalised controls, matched for age, years of education and premorbid IQ. Comparison of cognitive outcome between the two groups indicated a trend towards poorer outcome in the surgical group which achieved significance on six test measures. There were no significant differences with respect to the quality of life measure. Patients surviving aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage are likely to suffer from a 'subarachnoid-induced encephalopathy' which appears to be more aggravated by the invasive nature of surgery, compared to endovascular coiling, as demonstrated by the poorer cognitive performance ofthe clipping patients.

Abstract:
Pituitary adenomas account for roughly 12% of all intracranial tumours and are treated either surgically or medically. Due to the prevalence, there have been many articles focusing on their treatment. Recently, a few studies have been published suggesting a link between pituitary tumours, their treatment and cognitive dysfunction. These articles challenge the texts put forward to date, texts that demarcate adenoma treatment effects to the realm of the physicaL The mechanism(s) behind these supposed deficits have not yet been identified, largely because of problematic research designs and sampling. In the South African context, practitioners tend to encounter a greater proportion of macroadenomas than developed countries. Working on the assumption that the effects of adenomas are magnified in macroadenoma patients, the South African situation provides a base of extreme cases in which any potential dysfunction has the best chance to declare itself. This is particularly valuable given the controversy surrounding the presence of these cognitive deficits.

Abstract:
The professional profile of researchers is established through communication of scientific work practices, leading to the establishment of a scholarly identity. Understanding scholarly identities is currently addressed through a conceptualisation of research narrative mechanisms. Citation and citing practices are a central component of scientific communication work practices. Therefore understanding these formal communication practices of researchers through their citing behaviours may contribute to the building of scholarly identity. This study is undertaken to understand whether scholarly identity could be informed through the use of citation identities. Studies on the citation identities of individuals were conducted, using authors working in the area of Consciousness, which provided a diverse field of participants for the testing of citation analysis techniques. This is accomplished through methodological development and further examined using a combination of field-level and individual-level analyses. A new methodology was developed for the generation of citing identities, based on the calculation of the Gini coefficient and the citee-citation ratio of authors' citing profiles. The resu!ting relationship was found to have high levels of consistency across a heterogenous set of researchers. An exploration of identification of author characteristics was subsequently undertaken using the new methodology and existing citation analysis techniques. The techniques were successful in identifying departures from conventional citation practice, highlighting idiosyncrasies well, but otherwise understanding of scholarly identity through citation analysis was only marginally successful. Aportion of the difficulty of achieving clarity was the complexity of the Consciousness author set, which was useful for establishing broad applicability of a new methodology, but poor for judging its successful application. In summary, definition of citing identity type offers possibilities for improving the understanding of scholarly identity, but will require further methodology development to reach its full potential.

Abstract:
After a short introduction on media evolution and their implications on human history the paper presents the results of two experiences held by the authors while using new technologies in disseminating bibliographical and historical information. The former experience concerns the Web publication of a bibliography on Beneventan manuscripts and arises from the need of overcoming the long edition times of printed information. It also proposes itself as an online resource for all researchers involved in studies on the South Italian book script in the Middle Ages. The latter one originates from most recent studies on women copyists in the Middle Ages and uses an online database to spread news on this subject. The paper then analyzes analogies and differences between the two experiences and suggests, at last, they can be seen as a source of online information for scholars, thus representing a first step towards the construction of new paradigms of knowledge and research in historical studies.

Abstract:
The main purpose of this article is the understanding of which marketing strategies related to big data are being implemented by Brazilian companies in different sectors, in addition to assessing these actions within an already established construct. To reach the proposed objectives, an exploratory, qualitative research was conducted using the multiple case study method. Thus, data were collected through bibliographical, documentary and semi-structured interviews, with the intent of formulating the construct by which the companies are studied. The study unit interviewed consisted of market professionals and big data specialists. As the main result, it was widely noticed the application of strategies related to big data by the companies surveyed. The classification of these actions within an already established construct, however, was not possible, since it was understood the existence of distinct stages of adoption for this technology, and it was not possible to label these companies as users of big data.

Many floating city projects, both domestic and overseas, have been proposed since the 1960s. However, most of them have never gotten off the ground except for those that found a shape in Japan, all of which were reclamation or landfill types filling the gap of an urban function in the coastal land areas. In this research, we analyzed the social background of offshore cities using a bibliographical survey, concomitantly conducting interviews, extracting the factors of size, function, etc., of the sea city projects, classifying the projects by geopolitical function by using quantification theory, and from the results we are making a proposal as the guidepost indicating the feasibility and directionality of developing the offshore city of the future.

Abstract:
The Urban Policy of Brazil, established with the Federal Constitution and the City Statute, brought to light a series of instruments to be used by municipalities in their urban planning. The objective of this research was to verify the use of these instruments in the laws of the cityplans of 2008 and 2020 in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes, state of Rio de Janeiro. In the methodological aspect, online meetings through Google Meet were fundamental for bibliographical and documental survey, comparative analysis of the laws of cityplans, elaboration of a table with results and elaboration of an article. With the study it was possible to analyze the use of urban policy instruments in the analyzed cityplans. It was found that in the two cityplans, several instruments are included in the law in a bureaucratic way, without elements that indicate possibilities of application. It was concluded that the use of urban policy instruments in the analyzed cityplans happened in a similar way. The difficulty of applying many instruments was evident in both studied plans

Abstract:
In France about 23,000 tons of irradiated graphite waste were generated mainly from 9 nuclear gas-cooled reactors (UNGG type). All these reactors are now shut down. In France, a final disposal route has been decided for i-graphite waste management by the French Parliament in 2006. The planning act of June 28, 2006 has provisioned that a research and investigation programme shall be established with a view to developing disposal options for graphite waste. The low specific activity of these wastes means shallow disposal facilities located in a geological layer with a low permeability. The main radionuclides that need specific attention for the long term safety are Chlorine 36 and Carbon 14. This establishes the main requirements for the graphite disposal. According to these requirements, underground disposal in a clay layer, at shallow depth, offers good performance in terms of the delay and the reduction of the radionuclide release; it also offers guarantees for the cover’s hydrodynamic and transport properties. The progress of the programme makes it now necessary for a site to be found. Based on a bibliographical study, a wide-spread call for applications took place during the second semester of 2008.

The increase in longevity and the gradual and accelerated aging of the world population are trends that highlight the needto pay attention to the peculiarities inherent to elderly citizens. The return or permanence of the elderly in the labor market often conditions them to a marginal job position, that is, retired still active or self-employed, since when the elderly is absorbed by the formal market, it is common that he accepts reduced wages and no work records, a fact that justifies the option of many elderly workers to work on their own in informality. On the other hand, the best opportunities to keep a job after retirement or re-entering the labor market belong to the more qualified elderly, with a higher level of education and, above all, to those who do not have manual labor activities. Thus, the objective of this research is to analyze the dynamics of performance of the elderly in the formal labor market, from the perspective of the level of education. Therefore, the methodological procedures used in the research will be of a qualitative and quantitative approach, from the point of view of the objectives, it is presented as an exploratory and descriptive research, as technical procedures it is presented as bibliographical, from the data collection of the Continuous PNAD, in the period between 2012 and 2020. This study hopes to understand the different aspects of the elderly in the Brazilian labor market, in addition to raising theoretical data that may allow the formulation of public policy proposals and the participation of public and private initiatives in projects for the insertion of the elderly into the labor market
