Abstract:
In addition to a list of valid names and synonyms, as provided by the Trichoptera World Checklist, access to the primary literature itself is essential for research in Trichoptera taxonomy and systematics. To improve access to bibliographic information, we established the Trichoptera Literature Database, http://www.trichopteralit.umn.edu, a bibliographic database of over 8,500 citations of literature on Trichoptera. In addition to compiling bibliographical information, we provided access to over 450 high quality Portable Document Format files (PDFs) of historically important, rare, or out-of-print older works as well as more current literature. To provide universal web access to this bibliographical resource, we constructed a dynamic, custom-designed, web application (PHP, Symfony framework) created to import Extensible Markup Language (XML) from the EndNote data file. The database allows the user to search by author and year of publication, displays citations in a standard bibliographic format, and provides download links to available PDF literature. Existing bibliographies of Trichoptera literature and online access to Zoological Record databases were used to accumulate citations. Protocols for scanning literature, issues regarding copyright, and procedures for uploading citations and PDFs to the database are established. We hope to create a collaborative framework of contributors by seeking regional, subject, or language organizers from the community of Trichoptera workers to assist in completing and maintaining this resource with the goal of lowering barriers to efficient access to taxonomic information.

Abstract:
The bibliographic review article is a methodology of observational research, retrospective, systematica ,oriented to the selection, analysis, interpretation and discussion of theoretical positions, results and conclusions embodied in scientific articles disclosed in recent years on a topic of choice in order to obtain relevant information that contributes to the solution of problems. The purpose of the study was to explain the principles, importance, functions and phases or stages of the literature review article that provides university students and professionals with a methodological alternative in conducting research work. The methodology has revised scientific information dating from 1987 onwards, the cues were subjected to validity and reliability as provided by the information, the information derived from databases was considered: Scopus, Web of Science, among others. The principle of bibliographic narrative, conceptualization, quality indicators, review article steps such as the topic or title of the article of review, bibliographic search, organization of information and the writing of the article was explained. It is concluded that the bibliographic review article is a scientific article structure that is developed on the basis of an analysis of research related to a particular problem or information gap.

Abstract:
<p><strong>Introduction</strong>: We understand that the careful labor of composing bibliographical contexts is a fundamental concern for Bibliography, and collaborates to develop a deeper understanding of the intertextuality between documents. Nevertheless, the idea of context can assume many inflexions, connected to varied approaches towards bibliographic material. We believe quali-quantitative methods and data visualization can be used for assembling bibliographical contexts to form renovated points of view.</p><p><strong>Objective</strong>: To discuss how the idea of context relates to bibliographic methods, and how quali-quantitative methods and data visualization may offer new possibilities for assembling, assessing and sharing contexts of information.</p><p><strong>Methodology</strong>: Bibliographical revision, case discussion. We intend to apply concepts bred from the digital methods of social research to the problems of Bibliography, while we discuss the advantages of visualization.</p><p><strong>Results</strong>: Quali-quantitative methods may advance bibliographical studies by proposing varied entry points and a bottom-up approach towards building context, while data visualization may display these contexts, giving new visibility to intertextual aspects.</p><strong>Conclusions</strong>: The seminar Arte da Bibliografia, that took place last December in Rio de Janeiro, organized by IBICT/COEP and research group Ecce Liber, proposed a rediscovery of Bibliography as a science, born beside medieval studies and growing into a wider field. In this article, we seeked to outline some fundamental concerns of the field in order to update its relevance to today’s informational landscape. One fundamental concern of bibliography that we chose to focus on, the emphasis in creating knowledge contexts from documents, was explored in the form of different postures or procedures that may equip Bibliography, conciliating in its major facets, textual Bibliography and the quantitative tools derived from bibliometrics, with the use of quali-quantitative methods.

Abstract:
The interdisciplinary character of the science of language causes great difficulties in bibliographic support in this field. The object of bibliographing in linguistics is not only literature on the language, but also a variety of linguistic resources, which represent a special object to study a branch of linguistics - lexicography. Bibliography of linguistics is the least studied field by specialists among humanitarian bibliographic complexes. The paper first studied the array of domestic bibliographic sources for more than 150 years; the most significant of them are shown. The subject of research is national bibliographic resources in the linguistics field. The objective is to characterize the historical development of the linguistic bibliography in Russia. To achieve this goal we had to solve a number of tasks: identify existing sources for ongoing historical research; to trace the history of forming bibliographic sources, bibliography of bibliographies of linguistics; to form and analyze the body of bibliographic materials; to characterize the problematic areas in the bibliographic software of linguistics. Using the bibliometric analysis it was studied an array of bibliographic products published between 1860 and 2013, the dynamics of bibliographic resources formation was determined, the degree of bibliographic support of some topics and issues in linguistic science and prior directions of their development were revealed. The main results of the study should be considered: 1. The nuclear of fundamental indices on general and applied linguistics is singled out in analyzed literature sources covering the period 1918-1977, as well as in Slavic linguistics for 1825-1981. The complex of current and retrospective bibliographic products was formed and replenished in the country in 1963-1988. 2. The largest share of bibliographic sources in linguistics is presented by book and article bibliography (over 70%), many of which remain bibliographically unrecorded and unused. 3. The following subject areas of linguistics are considered to be bibliographically supported: inter-linguistics, culture of speech and language norms, lexicography, linguistic geography, linguistics regional geography, onomastics. 4. An obvious need to continue the index or database of bibliographic aids in the field of linguistics over the past 50 years is marked. 5. Further development of the linguistics bibliography is impossible to imagine without creating an electronic guide on the bibliographic resources of linguistics, which would reflect the diversity of bibliographical resources and provide their rich information potential for professionals and remote users

Abstract:
As project manager of the Art Discovery Group Catalogue project, and on behalf of the artlibraries.net committee, Geert-Jan Koot explains the development of the Art Discovery Group Catalogue. This discovery service powered by WorldCat is a new, separate project developed by the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) in Europe for art libraries, which became officially available on May 1st 2014. The project has been accepted within the international Future of Art Bibliography (FAB) initiative of the Getty Research Institute as its bibliographic component. The fact that the system is being developed in Europe provides an excellent equilibrium between Europe and America within the project. Following the invitation to participate, over 80 libraries have so far expressed interest, of which 60 have joined the catalogue. This project is a major step in one of the FAB goals of making art bibliographical information available worldwide through collaboration.

Abstract:
Although by the 1970s it was clear that neither funding nor available space in research libraries could cope with the increasing volume and cost of publications, subsequent developments in technology and improvements in international communication networks make access to remote databases technically possible and would seem to put the IFLA/Unesco goal of UAP within reach. But there are some problems to be solved. No existing library provides users with free and unimpeded access to bibliographical information held in remote databases. Also, printed catalogues such as that of the British Library, containing as they do important local information, serve a different purpose from collaborative databases, and both electronic and ‘eye-readable’ bibliographic resources must have a place in research libraries. Databases are much slower to search than printed catalogues, because readers find the system difficult, and enhanced keyword and subject access produces large numbers of records to be browsed; a very large number of terminals is therefore needed to meet demand. Also, records in databases lack the context they have in printed catalogues, complex headings causing particular problems; collaborative databases do not use normalized headings; and input errors can make records irretrievable. Retrospective reconciliation of differences in major catalogues is hardly conceivable. Subject indexing also leaves much to be desired, quite apart from the use of different languages for indexing non-English language books. The rules by which bibliographic files are structured need to be understood, and special expertise is likely to continue to be required for retrieval; the choice lies between educating users and providing a body of interpreters.

Abstract:
In 1793 in Vienna was published the book called "Svestena istorija" ("Sacred history"), in Serbian language. It was known that the translator was Jovan Rajic, but the author remained unknown at that time. In the early 20th century Dimitrije Ruvarac attributed the book to Platon Levsin. As relevant information it became a part of almost all bibliographic sources. The paper deals with the issue, trying to establish, on the basis of bibliographical and literaryhistorical research, identity of the real author. In addition, it considers the 18th century poetics of translation, as a necessary context for understanding the book and literary issues.
