Abstract:
Bibliometrics is a tool to evaluate and comprehend work. Its usage is steadily spreading to various disciplines. The main aim of this research paper is twofold. Firstly, to use bibliometrix as an R package tool to provide bibliometric information on 1,995 publications considered from the Scopus database. Secondly, to serve as a source for finding answers to new scientific questions through further research on engineering education for sustainable development. It is not hard to understand that higher education, especially engineering education, has a more significant role in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030. A review of research papers on engineering education and sustainable development published between 2010 and 2023 was conducted. The bibliometrix analysis identified the current level of research on Engineering Education for Sustainable Development (EESD). Through the results of this study, we have broadened our understanding of who, which, and what aspects of EESD, as well as possible research areas in EESD to explore. This study presents implications and recommendations for the people at the helm of authority in engineering education institutions and policymakers. They can play an instrumental role in developing a society with a sustainable future. This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the altmetrics landscape from 2012 to 2024, aiming to explore key trends, influential contributors, and thematic concentrations in scholarly discourse. The Bibliometrix package in R made it easy to conduct a bibliometric study on altmetrics using data extracted from Scopus. This allowed for an in-depth examination of publication trends, influential authors, and thematic concentrations. VOSviewer was used to visualize bibliometric data, which gave information about co-authorship networks and thematic clustering in the altmetrics literature. The United States emerged as the foremost contributor in terms of publication frequency. Key words such as "bibliometrics," "social media," and "journal impact factor" were identified as central themes in the altmetrics discourse, reflecting the multidimensional nature of scholarly evaluation in the digital age

The application of neuroscientific methods to advertising has seen a consistent growth in recent years. This study aimed to map scientific production specifically involving one of these methods, skin conductance, in the context of contemporary advertising in its various forms of action. To this end, a bibliometric analysis was carried out using the international databases Scopus and Web of Science (WoS), with the support of the R language tools Bibiometrix and BiblioShiny. The principal findings are not only the statistical indicators resulting from the research itself, but also the contribution and relevance of the tool in terms of supporting and facilitating the research conducted in the field.

In this study, we attempted to conduct a comprehensive review of the existing and pertinent literature on the topic of factor investment. We performed Scientometric analysis of studies published in reputable finance journals, i.e., The Journal of Portfolio Management, The Financial Analysts Journal, The Journal of Asset Management and others, during the years 2014 to 2023. To obtain the research data for our study, we gathered and examined a collection of 76 bibliographic records sourced from the Web of Science database. This database provided a comprehensive and reliable source of scholarly publications in the field of finance. To analyze the data, we employed Scientometric networks as part of our analytical approach. Scientometric networks allowed us to explore the relationships and connections between different publications, authors, and keywords within the domain of factor investment. To visualize and present the research findings, we utilized the Bibliometrix package for R, a powerful tool specifically designed for bibliometric analysis. This package enabled us to generate insightful visualizations that showcased the key patterns, trends, and interconnections within the literature on factor investment. By employing Scientometric analysis and leveraging the capabilities of the Bibliometrix package, we aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the existing scholarly research in this field and contribute to the understanding of factor investment.

Research is delimited through Eric’s thesauri. Research questions related to data sources, authors, and collaborative networks were raised. The research shows increases in production as of 2019, the nationality of the authors and the affiliation of institutions stand out through extensive research networks in Ibero-America. It is necessary to extend this study to other scientific bases.

The purpose of this study is to explore the nexus between transformative leadership and culture of learning through a bibliometric perspective is to systematically analyze and understand the existing body of scholarly literature on this topic.This paper aims to review articles related to transformative leadership and culture of learning with the help of bibliometric analysis. A total number of 499 documents were drawn from the Scopus database out of which 187 articles were selected. Bibliometric the overview of transformative leadership and culture of learning Research, bibliometric techniques such as performance analysis and scientific mapping were applied. The data was also organized, analyzed, and presented using the Bibliometrix package. The study found that research on transformative leadership and culture of learning has a significant growth rate of 4.58 percent. The findings show that Boen f, with five publications, is the most referenced author, followed by Fransen k &amp; Gottschalk p, who have a combined total of seven (each) papers.

The chapter is a bibliometric analysis of research work published on the Sustainable Development Goals. The authors extracted relevant data from Scopus on 22 August 2020, which were subsequently analyzed using open-source software – Bibliometrix (an R package). They performed a textual query on Scopus for the title “Sustainable Development Goal” by selecting the 'Article Title' in the 'Documents' option for the period of 1996-2020 and retrieved 1872 documents from 865 sources. This study aims to identify the global trends in the SDG's scientific production over time with analysis covering various bibliometric indicators (i.e., sources, authors, and documents). Results reveal growth in research in SDGs in recent years, trending topics, most relevant sources, prolific authors in the field, validation of Lotka's law. The findings can assist future research in this field by providing a worldwide analytical overview of the SDGs.

This chapter deals with the evolution of research in English language education linked to applied technologies, under the ubiquitous paradigm, over the past 60 years (1960-2021). Descriptive (authors, articles, citations) and relational (co-words, co-citation, co-author) bibliometric indicators are used to trawl a database of 5219 documents from Scopus. Bibliometrix R package, biblioshiny, and VOSviewer analysis are handled to draw the trends of this area around the world. The findings demonstrate that main topics passed from ESL to technology education to the technology integration for learning processes. The trending topics for the field include mobile-assisted language learning, WhatsApp (and other social media), gamification, virtual reality, and online learning. Well-developed topics include motivation, writing, and teacher education. Future research directions are also discussed.

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research papers in the field of gamification. With the use of three different databases (PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science), we analyzed various types of studies in this field using the statistical program package R. After removing possible duplicates, we analyzed a dataset consisting of 18,389 articles regarding gamification research. The results of our study present a detailed view of the gamification landscape, showing the current trends, collaborations, and research interests. Key themes of gamification research include serious games, motivation, and design regarding its multidisciplinary nature. The results also show that there is a need for continued collaboration across disciplines and regions to address complex challenges. Based on the results, valuable insights could be provided for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers who could be interested in this dynamic and multidisciplinary field. This bibliometric analysis provides a deeper understanding of the current state of gamification studies.

This chapter presents an analysis of advancements in biomedical research for improving healthcare from bibliometric and thematic views. A literature search was carried out using the documents from the Scopus database. To conduct this study, a total of 145 research articles from 2006 - September 2023 were reviewed. Bibliometrix (R package) and SciMAT tools were used to conduct this review in terms of bibliometric and thematic analysis. The analysis presents results as contributing authors and co-author and their affiliations, leading contributing countries, main relevant sources, frequently used keywords, and major themes. The derived results provide insight into the limitations and scope of collaborative research in the area of digital healthcare utilizing smart technologies. It shows that digital health care using artificial intelligence is a growing area of exploration. In this chapter, the role of artificial intelligence in digital health is also presented. Providing data security and privacy in digital health is found to be challenging and there is a lot of oppertunity for further research is there.

The study highlights the most globally cited documents in the field, providing insights into influential research publications. The analysis also examines country-wise scientific production, with the UK, China, and the USA emerging as the top contributors. This article provides a bibliometric analysis of Blockchain literature, highlighting its diverse applications, from finance to supply chain management and agricultural product traceability. It aims to map the scientific contributions of Blockchain over the past decade. The study examines publications indexed in the Web of Science from 2014 to 2024 using the keyword "Blockchain". Data analysed includes authors' countries, affiliations, collaborations, publication language, and years, utilising R Studio® and the Bibliometrix® package. Results indicate a steady increase in Blockchain research from 2015 to 2022, with a drop in 2023. Key categories are "Computer Science Information Systems", "Engineering Electrical Electronic", and "Computer Science Theory Methods". China, India, and the USA are the top contributors, with English as the predominant publication language. Leading authors include Zhang Y., Wang Y., and Liu Y., with Satoshi Nakamoto authoring the most cited documents. This analysis seeks to guide future Blockchain research, particularly in underexplored fields.

Abstract:
Trade globalization, the increase in container ship size, and the competitive nature of the maritime industry have rendered port selection a complex decision – making process that involves many criteria. Port selection by container shipping lines is a strategic decision integral to their route and network planning, significantly influencing the operational and business performance of the organization. Contemporary scholarly literature, although addressing diverse facets of port selection by container shipping lines, lacks in offering a detailed and comprehensive analysis that encompasses a range of research methodologies, maritime and hinterland port elements, carbon reduction strategies, and available sustainability alternatives in container shipping networks. This paper presents a retrospective review of port choice from the perspective of container shipping lines by the combination of bibliometric and content analysis approaches. The bibliometric approach utilized by the bibliometrix package in the R software revealed the most relevant articles related to port choice. The bibliographic coupling approach in VOSviewer revealed five research clusters: (1) Port performance evaluation; (2) Environmental considerations in liner networks; (3) Port choice dynamics; (4) Port competitiveness; and (5) Strategic decision – making in global shipping networks. Content analysis of the most impactful articles in each research cluster provides findings forming a solid foundation of insights for the sustainable development of port choice from the perspective of container shipping lines.

Abstract. The quest for sustainable hydrogen production has intensified in the past decade, driven by the global energy transition from fossil fuels to hydrogen-based alternatives. This urgency necessitates the exploration of innovative technologies beyond traditional methods. Therefore, this study pioneers a bibliometric analysis to evaluate the potential of plasma-based technologies for sustainable hydrogen production. Methodologically, the systematic data adheres strictly to the PRISMA 2020 framework. The Shiny App of the Bibliometrix R package is used to uncover the performance analysis and science mapping visualization of the bibliometric dataset. The findings revealed 581 published documents following database merging, with 152 records excluded by automated tools and another 152 through screening with PRISMA. This study is of great interest to academic and industrial relevance, as evidenced by 277 documents with annual growth rate (22.57%), authors’ contributions (n = 1,185), co-authorship (30.32%), and average citation rate (n = 23). Notably, microwave plasma emerges as the most dominant technology for hydrogen production from natural gas reforming, achieving a 65% volumetric yield among non-thermal plasma variants, alongside warm plasma (48%) and thermal plasma (67%). Collaborative efforts between China and Australia in energy policy research emphasize the importance of international partnerships in advancing sustainable energy solutions. The emerging research trends in plasma gasification, water splitting, and hydrogen evolution reactions, signal a paradigm shift towards more sustainable, efficient hydrogen production techniques. Ongoing research is poised to enhance efficiency and environmental sustainability, contributing vitally to a net-zero emission future.

Data literacy has emerged as a key aspect in meeting the challenges of the evolving digital age. However, existing bibliometric analyses related to this topic are scarce. To fill the gap, this study uses a bibliometric approach to conduct a comprehensive review spanning nearly seven decades in order to assess the research landscape, progress, and emerging trends in data literacy. This article presents a new review of scientific production through an in-depth bibliometric analysis of the Scopus database using two software packages namely VOSviewer and RStudio. The article presents a synthesis of 2896 peer-reviewed articles from 1956 to 2023. Using keyword and co-occurrence analyses to identify key trends and relationships in research on this topic. Researchers highlighted the most researched concepts and the most important relationships between different publications. The analysis process was conducted by presenting the publication time, disciplinary area, scientific publications on data literacy, prolific authors, most cited publications, productive scientific countries, and keyword co-occurrence analysis on this topic.

Abstract:
This research aimed to carry out a bibliometric analysis of research related to digital literacy using the Scopus-indexed articles database which was published from 2017-2023. To collect data, the author used a document Analysis or documentation instrument, and a sample of collected 665 articles from the Scopus publications was obtained through the application of the saturated sampling technique. The data were analyzed through the R Program Biblioshiny package. The first finding is that a steady rate of publications in the field of digital literacy was observed from 2017 (68 articles) up to 2022 (131 articles). The second finding is that keywords like “e-learning”, “digital literacies”, and “students” have higher bibliographical coupling indexes of 29, 26, and 23 respectively. For the third finding, the concepts of “e-learning” and “information literacy” are very important terms within their network. Besides, authors whose works had much attention have included “e-learning”, “digital storage,” “computer science”, “digital environment”, “education”, “curricula”, and “students” in their words. Based on these findings, the main recommendation is for researchers to make further investigations in order to discover why works including the keywords like “e-learning”, “digital literacies”, and “students” are mostly cited.

Abstract:
The paper presents a bibliometric and visual analysis of trending topics in the PubMed collection in the field of image processing based on machine learning. The analysis was performed using the PubMed collection of scientific articles, from which 9875 articles were selected with the words “learning” and “image” in the titles. A significant increase (6.29 times over 5 years) in annually published similar articles was revealed. The rating of relevant keywords in the selected articles was calculated and presented. Among the relevant keywords, trending keywords were identified with significant frequencies and increasing trends in the selected articles, as well as with a predicted long-term increase in trends in the PubMed collection. Long-term trend forecast was calculated using the CatBoost machine learning package based on keyword usage in PubMed articles, taking into account citation links. A semantic map of trending keywords is presented, containing information about the novelty and long-term nature of trends. The semantic map was calculated using Word2Vec neural networks and the t-SNE algorithm. Groups of trending keywords that are similar in semantics form trending topics. Similar trending topics are included into clusters on a semantic map. As a result of a visual analysis of the semantic map, eleven trending topics were identified: (1) types of deep learning, (2) self-supervised and few-shot learning, (3) meta-learning and domain adaptation, (4) autoencoder and feature fusion, (5) object and anomaly detection, (6) semantic segmentation, (7) attention mechanism, (8) trending diseases, (9) imaging techniques, (10) personalization and optimization, (11) comparative analysis and reviews. A review of the literature on the most promising trending topics is provided, indicating additional keywords and links to publications.

Also referred to as green cities or eco-cities, sustainable urban centres have arisen from the imperative to harmonise economic, ecological, and social agendas, aimed at fostering resilient environments for the benefit of both present and future generations. This global interest in transitioning cities and communities towards sustainability is exemplified by the 11th Sustainable Development Goal, which encompasses objectives such as ensuring safe housing and infrastructure, enhancing air quality, managing waste efficiently, and bolstering disaster resilience. The main objective of this article was to identify publications investigating the issue of sustainable cities in Europe in order to observe research trends on this topic. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis encompassing all published literature within the Web of Science database pertaining to this subject. The earliest documented studies trace back to 1994, with a marked escalation in scholarly interest observed from 2016 onwards. Employing the Biblioshiny package in R, 245 articles were identified wherein both the terms “sustainable cities” and “Europe” appeared in the titles, abstracts, or keywords. Key recurring themes identified in the authors' discourse on sustainable urbanism include sustainable development, urban planning, smart cities, urban sustainability, climate change, urban development, and energy efficiency. Additionally, this analysis identifies noteworthy sources, prolific authors, and highly cited papers, thus shedding light on prevailing research trends within this domain. Among the topics researched by the most cited articles is the reduction of energy consumption, since 80% of energy consumption is generated by cities and their supply chains. Among the solutions provided by them is the integration of local stakeholders in the decision-making process regarding long-term sustainability.
