The Al-Sabath collection preserves more than 30,000 pieces offering a global vision of the Art of Islam and Pre-Islam. Founded in 1983 by Sheikh Nasser Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah (1948-2020), it is structured around different mediums such as glass, ceramics, ivory objects and of course jewelry. Through the words collected from Mr. Salam Kaoukji, Chief Curator and Manager of the Al-Sabah Collection, this article presents jewelry from the Indian subcontinent and the main techniques used to create them.

There were two sets of treatments, comprising a) three dates of sowing viz. 20 November, 5 December and 20 December; and b) three varieties viz. ‘Bijoy’, ‘Sufi’ and ‘Prodip’.
