Abstract:
The study of the current state of biobibliography of Buryatia, presented in the library web envi-ronment, was the purpose of this article. The author used methods of comparative analysis, monitoring of the web environment, bibliographic. The research results should include a representation of the forms of bio-bibliographic information that exists in the library web environment. The comparative characteristics of Internet resources contributes to the discovery of specifics in the creation of infor-mation products by libraries of various types and types. Links to websites identified in the process of studying the electronic environment can be used as a guide to the bio-bibliographic resources of the libraries of the republic. The article reflects bio-bibliographic information on library websites, which is publicly available. Traditional bio-bibliographic indexes are reviewed – digital copies and electronic versions of printed publications, original bibliographic products, complex electronic resources, databases that combine elements of bio-bibliographic, reference, full-text materials. Data on information products of scientific and public libraries was revealed: the National Library of the Republic of Buryatia, universities, the Buryat Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (BSC SB RAS), the Republican Library for Children and Youth, centralized library systems of the city of Ulan-Ude and the republic. Bibliographic information in the form of indexes, dictionaries (“Who's Who”), databases (“Teachers' Works”, etc.) has a special place on the websites of scientific libraries of universities: Buryat State University, East Siberian State University of Technology and Management, Buryat State Agricultural Academy, East-Siberian State Institute of Culture. The website of the Central Scientific Library of the BSC SB RAS reflects the “Works of the BSC SB RAS employees” in the same heading, information on memorial libraries of prominent scientists in the field of physical and mathematical sciences, literary criticism, art history, ethnography, oriental studies. The website of the National Library of the Republic of Buryatia provides the most valuable edi-tions of local history topics: electronic versions of printed publications, reference and bibliographic databases, and electronic collections dedicated to prominent figures of the republic. Republican library for children and youth, Central City Library named after I.K. Kalashnikov, the centralized library sys-tems of Ulan-Ude and the republic are created and distributed in the Internet space, mainly bio-bibliographic information of recommendatory nature, in order to popularize the personality of the writer, public figure, war hero, historical character. Conclusions are made about the diversity of forms of bio-bibliographic information in the library web environment and, at the same time, the need to achieve common organizational and methodologi-cal approaches of libraries to create bio-bibliography in the republic and its presentation in the Internet space. The general picture of the state of biobibliography considered in the article, the mentioned names of famous figures of the republic give a curtailed knowledge about of the development of science, culture and other areas of public life in the past and in modern times.

Abstract:
The article describes the history of creation of Biobibliographic Index “Alexander Isayevich Solzhenitsyn. Materials for Biobibliography” dedicated to A.I. Solzhenitsyn – the outstanding Russian writer, Nobel Laureate and public figure – from the bibliographic chapter planned in the 1960-ies to the Index in two volumes, being prepared for publication in 2018.The Index contains the list of all works by A.I. Solzhenitsyn from 1962 to 2017: released both as separate editions and published in the periodical press, as well as the literature about his life and creative activity. The first section includes the book editions and works by the writer published in journals, newspapers and non-author’s collections. They are grouped by genre principle — prose, drama, poetry. The bibliographic records are arranged in chronological order (by date of publication). The second section “Literature on A.I. Solzhenitsyn’s Life and Works” includes a variety of publications, devoted to the writer entirely or partially. The key to the disclosure of the substantive content of each entry is a classified index, where the heading titles reflect the landmarks of A.I. Solzhenitsyn’s life and creative heritage, identified in the process of the compilers’ acquaintance with the critical literature de visu. This index helps the user to navigate in the extensive corpus of literature devoted to the writer and in selection of materials on the subject of interest. The author considers the problems encountered by the compilers, as well as the ways of their solution and defines this publication as the first experience in Russia in preparing a large-scale bibliographic collection dedicated to A.I. Solzhenitsyn.

Abstract:
This article delves into an episode of the intellectual biography of the Italianist and Romanian comparatist Anita Belciugăţeanu (1892-1944): the reception of her monograph Carpe rosam: tema poetică a trandafirului în literatura italiană şi franceză a Renaşterii (1931). Firstly, Belciugăţeanu’s biobibliography is reviewed, emphasizing her academic journey and significant contributions to Romanian comparatism. Subsequently, based on firsthand bibliographic research, the reception of her work in France and Spain is explored. Previously unpublished documentation is presented: Paul Van Tieghem's annotations on the copy of Carpe rosam sent to him by the Romanian author and the words that Blanca González de Escandón dedicated to Belciugăţeanu in a copy of her own work, which apparently never reached its intended recipient.

Abstract:
The paper discusses the principle of anthropocentrism and nation-centrism in relation to the presentation of the theoretical foundations of Ukrainian linguistic historiography, based on national traditions and new approaches to the principles of describing the history of linguistics. It is signifi cant for reconsidering Ukrainian linguistic philosophy and philosophy of science in general. In modern Ukrainian linguistics, traditional genres of historiography are updated (index, biobibliography, textbook, monographs, scientific articles, etc.) on the history of Ukrainian linguistics in general, research centers and schools in particular, descriptions of achievements in certain fields of the Ukrainian linguistic studies, etc.) and new hybrid genres (metabibliographic manuals, bibliography of individual journals, textbooks in some scientific fields, dictionaries of personalities, etc.). In the modern scientific space the formation and development of critical-respecting discourse as well as linguistics of personalities can be observed.

Abstract:
A characteristic feature of Arab-islamic astronomy during the Middle Ages is the promotion and tremendous growth of practical astronomy which was in turn manifested primarily by the establishment of scores of observatories in West-Central Asia, from Abbasid Caliph al-Māmūn (813-833) to the Turkish king Murād III (1574-1595), and by the production of copious literature on astronomical Tables (the zījes) as well as on astronomical instruments (ālāt al-rasad). The enormity of the literature on the latter could be gauged by the list of extant works as given by Matvievskaya and Rosenfeld (1983) in their recent Biobibliography: 349 treatises on astrolabes, 138 on sine-instruments, 81 on quadrants, 4 on sextants and octants, 41 on armillary spheres and celestial globes, 77 on sundials and again 77 on “other instruments”—in all 767 treatises. As a matter of fact the instruments developed by Arab-islamic astronomers could be broadly classified into four groups: a) Time measuring instruments (e.g. sundials, shadow quadrants), b) Angle measuring instruments for astronomical parameters (e.g. armilla of various kinds, dioptre and parallactic rulers), c) instruments for transformation of system of coordinates and/or solving nomographical problems (e.g. astrolabes, quadrants, dāstūr instrument), d) Mathematical instruments for evaluating trigonometric functions, (e.g. sinequadrants). Apart from the fourth and the most important of all, the astrolabe, which in turn embodies all the four groups of instruments to a certain extent, works on “other instruments” were compiled in almost every century (down from 9th to 18th A.D.), also by well-known Arab-Islamic astronomer-mathematicians.

Abstract:
The presented article is part of a considerable series of author's investigations on the problem of personification of Ukrainian history. The prepared study is dedicated to the three hundredth anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist of the 18th century Hryhoriy Savich Skovoroda (1722—1794). The scale of the personality of this figure of the national Enlightenment era is impressive not only in the number of branches of science related to him (philosophy, historiosophy, religious studies, pedagogy, psychology, etc.), but also in the brightness of the ideas expressed by him, which have not lost their relevance to this day. Among the latter, both the Socratic "Know thyself" transformed from antiquity, and the "related work" formula compiled by H. Skovoroda himself, which forms the foundation for the growth of such an innovative parameter of modern life as the index of human happiness, dominate. The humanist writer imprinted in science the signs of the dialectical mobility of thought, which is in permanent search and surprise on the way to the truth. The purpose of the presented article is to update and enrich the historiography of the problem of the national Skovorodiana with the help of the materials of the State Print Archive. Relying on the existing printed material (book, magazine, newspaper, sheet, etc.) stored in the Book Chamber of Ukraine, the author emphasized the existing information about H. Skovorodа biobibliography. The presented research was carried out within the framework of scientific and exhibition activities of the Book Chamber of Ukraine named after Ivan Fedorov and is aimed at the implementation of the educational direction of Ukrainian studies of the named institution.

Abstract:
The Czesław Horain collection in the Archive of the Polish Institute and Sikorski Museum in London as a source of studies on the history of Poles in the Holy Land Czesław Horain (1904–1966), an engineer and amateur historian, resided in Palestine from 1940 until his death, arriving there as a war refugee. He collected materials about Poles in the Holy Land for many years. He was the author of the pioneering unpublished work entitled Bio-bibliografia polsko-palestyńska generalna (A.D. 990–1950), which he wrote in Jerusalem. The biobibliography contains lists of printed works and manuscripts, as well as documentation concerning any Poles who ever visited the Holy Land. The Horain collection, in the form of index cards and the collector’s notes and comments, included over 15,000 items. In 1993, part of the collection, previously kept in Jerusalem, was brought to the Archive of the Polish Institute and Sikorski Museum in London. It is kept in the fonds with the reference number Kol. 551. The article aims to provide a closer look at this fonds, to answer what its subject matter is and what type of materials it contains, as well as where and when the group of documents was created and according to what criteria it was assembled. So far, the collection has not been studied or cited by historians. It should be introduced into scientific circulation because it considerably improves the current state of knowledge about the history of Poles in Palestine. Biobibliografia, w formie fiszek i materiałów warsztatowych, obejmowała ponad 15 tys. pozycji. W 1993 r. część zbiorów, przechowywana dotąd w Jerozolimie, trafiła do Archiwum Instytutu Polskiego i Muzeum im. gen. Sikorskiego w Londynie.

The article examines the evolution of the modern genre of recommended bibliographic publications, which is clearly tracked in the publications of the Russian State Library (RSL). The author’s goal is to show how the signs that make the genre popular for modern cultural and educational activities have been formed and consolidated in the process of evolution. The relevance of the research is to identify the opportunities to use recommended bibliographic publications more effectively to promote a book to a reader. The popular biobibliographic essay has become an evolutionary pinnacle for two types of recommended bibliographic products. These are personal indexes, where information about a person is combined with information about literature (publications) plus a detailed review in the genre of «conversations about books». Both types of indexes go back to the list of recommended literature, with the creation of which in the 1920s the recommendation bibliographic activity of the RSL began. In the 1980s, in the RSL there appeared publications, which became the prototype of modern popular biobibliographic essays. The decisive influence on the formation of the genre of popular biobibliographic essay had «perestroika». The recommendation bibliography was actively engaged in navigation in the array of the most popular literature, And in parallel it turned to the little-known and hard-to-access literature. In both cases, new tasks appeared. Some authors had to be selected from the total number, while others, in fact, had to be introduced. A modern essay, accordingly, gives a comprehensive picture of life and work of the person to whom it is dedicated. It creates the image of a person, shows his (her) place in the cultural context, analyzes creativity in general, and characterizes specific book publications.

The features of S. Musukayeva's poetry are investigated: poetics and philo-sophical-humanistic principle, apperceptive and sensitive models, emotive-modal character of a literary text. The conclusion is made about the resistance of the axiological modality in the texts of the Karachai-Balkarian authors and a tendency to increase the “meaningfulness” (M. Meerovich). In the work gnoseological and hermeneutic approaches are applied, a short literary analysis was made.
