Abstract:
Latar Belakang: Tanaman bisbul (Diospyros discolor Willd) merupakan tanaman yang tumbuh pada iklim tropis. Daun bisbul memiliki aktivitas antiinflasmasi berdasarkan pada kandungan fitokimia. Kandungan fitokimia daun bisbul antara lain alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin dan steroid. Inflamasi merupakan suatu respons protektif normal terhadap luka jaringan yang disebabkan oleh trauma fisik, zat kimia perusak atau zat-zat mikrobiologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan potensi aktivitas dan dosis efektif dari ekstrak etanol daun bisbul sebagai antiinflamasi.
 Metode: Ekstrak daun bisbul dibuat dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Uji aktivitas antiinflamasi yang dilakukan dibagi dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan.Setiap kelompok terdiri atas 5 ekor mencit putih jantan (Mus musculus). Kelompok I (kontrol negatif) diberikan 0,5% suspensi Na-CMC; kelompok II (kontrol positif) diberikan natrium diklofenak 0,13 mg; sedangkan kelompok III, IV, dan V secara berturut-turut diberikan ekstrak etanol daun bisbul sebesar 0,5 g/Kg BB, 1 g/Kg BB dan 1,5 g/Kg BB. Masing-masing mencit kemudian diinduksi menggunakan karagenan secara intraplantar. Volume radang diukur dengan menggunakan alat pletismometer dilakukan selama 6 jam dengan interval waktu 60 menit.
 Hasil: Dosis ekstrak etanol daun bisbul 0,5 g/Kg BB mempunyai persentase inhibisi udema tertinggi, yaitu sebesar 77,78 % dibandingkan dengan dosis 1 g/Kg dan 1,5 g/Kg BB yang mempunyai persentase akhir yang sama, yaitu sebesar 66,67 %.
 Kesimpulan: Ekstrak etanol daun bisbul dengan dosis 0,5 g/Kg BB merupakan dosis yang berpotensi sebagai antiinflamasi pada mencit jantan.

Abstract:
Tanaman bisbul (Dyospiros discolor Willd) merupakan tanaman yang sudah sering dikonsumsi buahnya oleh masyarakat. Daun bisbul diketahui mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri dan antijamur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak etanol daun bisbul (Diospyros discolor Willd) memiliki efektivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimental yang meliputi pengumpulan sampel, pemeriksaaan makroskopis, pemeriksaan mikroskopis, pembuatan simplisia, pemeriksaan karakteristik, skrining fitokimia, pembuatan ekstrak etanol, dan pengujian efektivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes dengan metode difusi agar. Hasil pemeriksaan makroskopik yang dilakukan terhadap simplisia daun bisbul yaitu daun berwarna hijau kecoklatan, pinggir rata, panjang daun 5 cm, lebar daun 4 cm, memiliki bau yang khas dan rasa sedikit pahit. Hasil karakteristik simplisia diperoleh kadar air 4%, kadar sari larut dalam air 21%, kadar sari larut dalam etanol 23%, kadar abu total 4,8% dan kadar abu tidak larut asam 0,3%. Skrining fitokimia serbuk simplisia dan ekstrak etanol daun bisbul menunjukkan adanya kandungan alkaloid, tanin, flavonoid, steroid/triterpenoid, saponin dan glikosida. Hasil uji efektivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol daun bisbul menunjukkan diameter zona hambat lebih besar pada konsentrasi 80% yaitu 15,98 mm dibandingkan dengan konsentrasi 70% dan 60% yaitu 15,43 mm dan 14,18 mm. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun bisbul dapat memberikan efektivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes.

Abstract:
Beberapa bagian dari Diospiros discolor (tanaman Bisbul) telah dilaporkan memiliki berbagai khasiat terkait dengan kandungan flavonoid pada masing-masing bagian tanaman tersebut. Biji buah bisbul belum dilaporkan dan diduga mempunyai kandungan yang sama dengan bagian lain. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kandungan metabolit sekunder dan kadar flavonoid total pada ekstrak biji bisbul. Pada penelitian ini, biji buah bisbul diekstrak menggunakan pelarut aseton dan etil asetat. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi selama 4×24 jam dengan penggantian pelarut. Rendemen ekstrak aseton dan etil asetat biji buah bisbul yaitu 30,12% dan 28,14%. Kandungan metabolit sekunder pada masing-masing ekstrak diketahui melalui skrining fitokimia. Hasil Uji fitokimia menunjukkan kedua ekstrak mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, Triterpenoid/Steroid, dan Tanin. Analisis kadar flavonoid total pada kedua ekstrak dilakukan menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-VIS. Kadar flavonoid total ekstrak etil asetat lebih tinggi dari ekstrak aseton yaitu masing-masing 423,60 ± 2,68 dan 377,03 ± 1,50 mg Ekuivalen Katekin/ g ekstrak.

Abstract:
Bisbul (Diospyros discolor Willd.) is a plant of the Ebenaceae family and red dragon (Hylocereus polyrhizus) is a plant of the Cactaceae family. Bisbul and red dragon have bioactive compounds are flavonoids that act as antioxidants. The purpose of this study was measure antioxidant activity from ethanol extract of bisbul pulp and ethanol extract of red dragon fruit stem by DPPH method (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazin). Extraction by maseration method and using 96% ethanol as solution. Antioxidant activity assay using the immersion method of DPPH measured absorption at a wavelenght 517 nm and compared with vitamin C. The result showed that the ethanol extract of bisbul pulp (IC50 46.00 ìg/mL) more strong antioxidant activity compared the ethanol extract of red dragon fruit stem (IC50 1020.96 ìg/mL).

Velvet Apple Fruit Seeds (Diospyros blancoi) as Biosorbent of Cr(III) Velvet Apple Fruit (Diospyros blancoi) has not been explored more in Indonesia. The purpose of research was to explore the use of Velvet Apple Fruit seeds as adsobent of Cr(III) in waste. Biosorbent of velvet apple fruit seeds in removing Cr (III) metal ions has been investigated using batch method. Several parameters were used to determine absorption optimum conditions such as solution pH, contact time and biosorbent dosage. Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin isotherm models were used in determining biosorption equilibrium. FTIR and SEM-EDX were used to characterize the velvet apple fruit seeds biosorbent. The equilibrium adsorption isotherms showed the velvet apple fruit seeds biosorbent had a maximum adsorption capacity of 5.592 mg/g. The adsorption efficiency of Cr (III) ion by velvet apple fruit seeds was 81.78%. The results showed that velvet apple fruit seeds potentially as an alternative low-cost biosorbent for removing heavy metal ions in solution.Keywords: biosorption, heavy metals, alternative biosorbent, waste water treatmentABSTRAK Buah bisbul di Indonesia belum tereksplor dengan baik potensinya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk megetahui potensi biji buah Bisbul sebagai adsorben logam Cr(III) pada limbah. Biosorben biji buah bisbul (Diospyros blancoi) dalam menyerap ion logam Cr(III) telah diteliti dengan menggunakan metode batch. Beberapa parameter digunakan untuk menentukan kondisi optimum penyerapan seperti pH larutan, waktu kontak dan dosis biosorben. Model isoterm Langmuir, Freundlich dan Temkin dipakai dalam menentukan kesetimbangan biosorpsi. FTIR dan SEM-EDX digunakan dalam mengkarakterisasi biosorben biji buah bisbul. Isoterm adsorpsi kesetimbangan menunjukkan biosorben biji buah bisbul mempunyai kapasitas adsorpsi maksimum 5,592 mg/g. Efisiensi penyerapan ion Cr(III) oleh biji buah bisbul mencapai 81,78%. Abstract:
The use of plants as medicinal ingredients has been known by the public for a long time. One of the plants that have economic value and is rarely found is the bisbul plant. However, in this study, the part used was the parasite associated with the bisbul plant. The parasite plant, which has been known as a parasite, turns out to have efficacy, very potential as medicine, because it contains flavonoid compounds, namely quercetin and rutin. Flavonoids act as providers. antioxidants. experience. which. protect. kidney from free radicals. So the purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity of endophytic fungi associated with parasites from bisbul plants using the DPPH method in the form of direct research. This study used another 22 samples of endophytic fungal isolates associated with the parasite Dendrophthoe pentandra bisbul plant (Diospyros blancoi) that had been cultivated for 3 weeks. Results. study. show that. endophytic fungus extract associated with parasite on bisbul plants showed the chemical compounds in it by looking at the TLC profile obtained using dichloromethane-methanol (10:1) eluent. This is evidenced by the spots formed on the TLC profile with 4 observations, namely by UV light 254 nm, UV light 366 nm, after spraying with serium sulfate and vanillin sulfate. Based on the results of the antioxidant activity test against endophytic fungi associated with bisbul parasite, it showed that there were 10 extracts that had antioxidant activity.

Abstract:
Buah bisbul merupakan salah satu tanaman tropis yang tumbuh di Indonesia. Kandungan fitokimia buah bisbul antara lain golongan senyawa alkaloid, tanin, flavonoid dan fenolik. Golongan senyawa flavonoid dan fenolik berpotensi sebagai antioksidan. Antioksidan dapat menghambat proses kerusakan sel kulit akibat oksidasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat krim tabir surya yang optimum, sesuai mutu, stabilitas dan memiliki khasiat sebagai tabir surya yang berbahan dasar buah bisbul (Diospyros blancoi). Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah buah bisbul setengah matang yang dibuat menjadi ekstrak kental. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 95%. Hasil rendemen ekstrak yang diperoleh sebesar 12%. Selanjutnya, dibuat menjadi sediaan krim tabir surya dengan konsentrasi 10, 20, dan 40%. Krim yang telah dibuat, kemudian dievaluasi kualitas krim meliputi uji organoleptik, uji pH, daya lekat, daya sebar, viskositas, stabilitas, dan nilai Sun Protection Factor (SPF). Berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian ekstrak buah bisbul dapat dibuat menjadi sediaan krim tabir surya. Nilai SPF yang diperoleh dari konsentrasi ekstrak 10, 20, dan 40% secara berturut-turut adalah 9,25; 10,02; dan 13,00. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa formula dengan konsentrasi 40% merupakan krim terbaik yang memiliki nilai SPF tertinggi sebesar dengan proteksi kategori maksimal.

Abstract:
The area of ​​critical land in Indonesia is increasing. Critical land rehabilitation has been carried out by one of the methods used is direct planting. However, direct planting has drawbacks, namely the seeds are very prone to be eaten by insects and birds, and the seeds are easily damaged due to environmental factors. One method that can be tested is the application of seedballs using adaptive plants, such as jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus), bisbul (Diospyros blancoi), and merbau (Intsia bijuga). The purpose of this study was to formulate seedballs and their application for the growth of jackfruit (A. heterophyllus), bisbul (D. blancoi), and merbau (I. bijuga) plants. This study used a quantitative descriptive analysis method with 3 types of seedballs’ formulas. The results showed the fastest germination rate was produced by formula 1 (clay) on bisbul, formula 2 (clay: topsoil) on jackfruit, and formula 3 (clay: topsoil: husk charcoal: palm waste) on merbau. The highest seed germination capacities were formulas 1 and 3 for jackfruit species, formulas 2 and 3 for bisbul species, as well as formulas 1 and 2 for merbau species. Formula 3 is generally able to increase the height, diameter, and number of leaves of plants.

Abstract:
c Ebony <em>(</em><em>D</em><em>iospy</em><em>r</em><em>os </em>sp.)&nbsp; is a heavy hardwood that is&nbsp; popularly known as blackwood. Diospyros consists of over 300 species spread throughout tropics area and about 100 species occur in Indonesia. Bisbul wood <em>(Diospy</em><em>r</em><em>os btanc</em><em>o</em><em>i </em>A.DC.) is one species of&nbsp; streaked ebony that is locally known as &#39;buah mentega&#39;.&nbsp; The anatomical and physical properties of&nbsp; bisbul&nbsp; were studied to collect information&nbsp; for wood identification&nbsp; and to support appropriate use of the timber. Anatomical properties were studied from microtome sectioned samples, which have been coloured by safranin and mounted by entellan, while fiber dimensions&nbsp; were studied from macerated samples.&nbsp; Physical properties&nbsp; of&nbsp; bisbul wood studied include moisture content, density and percentage of volumetric shrinkage. Moisture content and density were studied from 20 x 20 x 20 mm samples based on wet and oven dry condition. Volumetric shrinkage was measured from dimension changes in radial, tangential and longitudinal shrinkage of 20 x 20 x 40 mm samples. The samples were measured in wet and oven dry conditions. The main anatomical characteristics to identify bisbul wood were black wood with pinkish streaked, heavy and very hard,&nbsp; very fine texture, even, lustrous surface and glossy, distinct growth ring, small size of vessels, apotracheal parenchyma forming reticulate pattern. The average moisture content was 59.86 &plusmn; 2.84%,&nbsp; the density average was 0.74 &plusmn; 0.04 gr/cm3&nbsp; and volumetric shrinkage was 10.41&plusmn;0.70%.&nbsp;&nbsp; The higher the stem, the more moisture&nbsp; content and the lower the density will be. Sapwood density was lower and had more moisture&nbsp; content than heartwood. The black pinkish heavy wood, bisbul was recommended to be used for carvings, sculpture, souvenir and luxuryinterior products.

Abstract:
Bisbul (Diospyros discolor Willd.) is one of the collections from the Bogor Botanical (BBG). The wide distribution of this plant in Southeast Asia's tropical forests creates many morphometric variations of this species. The diversity of leaf morphometric variations of a plant species can be the basis for grouping various species. This study aimed to determine the morphometric diversity of Bisbul leaves from various locations of origin. The study took samples of bisbul leaves from Bogor Botanical Gardens from three accessions, namely the Philippines, West Java, and Papua. All the trees are over 30 years old. The leaves are taken based on a horizontal position, vertical crown, and leafage. The results showed that the origin of the location gave different multiplier values to calculate the area, namely the Philippines y = 0.733x + 0.034; West Java y = 0.765x-2,949; and Papua y = 0.758x-1.389. The length to leaf width ratio also has differences, namely, the Philippines, which is 2.64, West Java 2.65, and Papua 2.81. The chlorophyll content in young leaves increases in old leaves. The samples from Papua also have the highest chlorophyll content compared to the Philippines and West Java. This difference indicates morphometric variations between the three, even within one species. Some environmental conditions may affect shade areas and tree age. In addition, DNA research from accession D. discolor is also needed to determine the cause of the morphometric variation.

Abstract:
Diese Arbeit handelt von der Synthese und Charakterisierung verschiedener molekularer heterobimetallischer Komplexe der Elemente Molybdän und Bismut. Solche Verbindungen können als Modelle für die bei der SOHIO-Oxidation von Propen zu Acrolein zum Einsatz kommenden heterogenen Bismutmolybdat-Katalysatoren angesehen werden, sie sind aber auch als Einkomponentenvorstufen für die Herstellung funktionaler Materialien von Interesse. In Reaktionen zwischen Molybdocendihydriden und Bismutalkoxiden entstehen Komplexe, in denen Molybdän- und Bismutatome Über Metallbindungen verbunden sind. In einigen dieser Komplexe wurden intramolekulare C-H Aktivierungsprozesse beobachtet, die zur Ausbildung gebogener Bindungen zwischen Bismut- und Cyclopentadienyl-Kohlenstoffatomen führen. Die betreffenden Komplexe wurden unter anderem auch mit quantenchemischen Methoden untersucht. Die Synthese und erstmalige strukturelle Charakterisierung von Verbindungen, in denen Molybdän- und Bismutatome Über Sauerstoffatome verbrückt werden, erfolgte mittels Reaktionen zwischen (NBu4)[Cp*MoO3] (Cp* = Pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) und geeigneten Bismut(V) oder Bismut(III)-Ausgangsstoffen. Einer dieser Komplexe konnte als Einkomponentenvorstufe für die Herstellung von Bismutmolybdat-Nanopartikeln eingesetzt werden, wobei sich das dabei gebildete Material zudem als selektiver Ethanolsensor erwies. Weiterhin werden in der Arbeit die Synthese und Charakterisierung der Bismut(III)-Verbindungen (o-Tolyl)2BiOR (R = H, Me, Bi(o-Tolyl)2) und ihre wechselseitige Umwandlung beschrieben.<br>The unique property of nMoO3/Bi2O3 phases to act as catalysts for the allylic oxidation of propene remains a subject of intense discussion. This as well as the fact that Mo/Bi oxide materials also show other interesting properties e.g. as gas sensors, stimulates research with respect to this element combination also on the molecular level, as described in this thesis. By reactions between molybdocenedihydrides and bismuth alkoxides a series of complexes was synthesised which contain molybdenum-bismuth bonds in a carbonyl-free ligand sphere. Intramolecular C-H activation processes, facilitated by complex induced proximity effects, lead to the formation of bent bonds in some of these complexes. DFT-calculations were performed in order to obtain insight into the bonding situation of these complexes, too. The first complexes with oxygen bridged molybdenum and bismuth atoms were prepared by reactions between (NBu4)[Cp*MoO3] (Cp* = pentamethylcyclopentadienide) and suited bismuth(III) and bismuth(V) reagents. One of these compounds was used as single source precursor for the preparation of bismuthmolybdate nanoparticles in a procedure based on the polyol method. Abstract:
This paper focuses on poem 1 (and partly 2) as a case study to assess the kind of autobiography depicted in Ausonius’ Ephemeris. Our analysis reveals a linguistic and metric poikilía, an interweaving of everyday life and sublime burlesque, based on the allusion to both satirical and lyrical-elegiac models. Though it is impossible to assign the Ephemeris to a specific literary genre, it is also misleading to reduce it to a scholastic work. In this original autobiography of daily life, Ausonius revisits, in a dramatized way, the literary scheme of the ordinatio diurna, as a form of ideal self-representation. As in the Bissula, he plays with the interaction of different genres and transposes onto a literary level the image of his domestic life, which is also an image of his skill as a poet.

Spontaneous liquid-liquid slug (bislug) flow in microchannels has been observed for both circular and square cross sections. Flow is induced via an imbalance in interfacial tensions and curvatures between the two gas-liquid surfaces and the liquid-liquid surface. Bislug flow in square cross-section microchannels is generally much quicker than bislug flow in circular capillaries for a variety of reasons; including the self-wetting nature of the microchannel and the decrease in viscous resistance in the corners.

Abstract:
Liquid-liquid slug or bislug flow can occur in any cross sectional capillary tube that is wetting and has a low Bond number. When two immiscible fluids are in contact in a capillary tube forming three fluid-fluid interfaces, spontaneous flow may occur due to a pressure imbalance across the menisci. Flow traverses the tube towards the liquid with the higher surface tension. Bislug flow in both prewet and non-prewet channels has been investigated. The bislug velocity in the prewet channels is faster than those in the dry. The velocity increase can be attributed to the decrease in the energy loss associated with the moving contact line. There is a dramatic increase in flow velocity in prewet square channels where the fluid is wicked into the corners. This wicking action decreases the perimeter length of the advancing contact line thereby minimizing energy dissipation.

Abstract:
In this paper, we first propose a novel composite nuclear fuel of UO2-GaN, which has never been reported before, and then its fully coupled multiphysics fuel performance is investigated using the CAMPUS code developed by ourselves. We propose two different fabrication methods to obtain the UO2-GaN fuel, which are Green Granule/Slug Bisque and Spark Plasma Sintering, respectively, resulting in different fuel thermal conductivities. By comparing two kinds of UO2-GaN fuel which are fabricated by two methods, we found that fuel fabricated by Green Granule/Slug Bisque possesses high thermal conductivity and performs well during the reactor operation. The gap width, gap conductance, fission gas release, plenum pressure, deviation of oxygen to metal ratio and displacement are all studied in this work. The performance of this novel fuel is also compared with the traditional UO2 fuel. The UO2-GaN enhanced thermal conductivity composite fuel shows the potential of decreasing the fuel temperature, and improving fuel performance and reactor safety. This makes GaN a good candidate to fabricate composite fuel with UO2 from the thermal standpoint. However, this work is to conduct an exploratory approach to the effect for the GaN addition to UO2 fuel with very limited data. So, further studies are still needed on GaN’s compatibility with UO2, neutronic behavior, fission product retention capabilities and irradiation performance, both on experimental measurements and numerical simulations.
