Abstract:

The genus Ahermodontus Báguena, 1930 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Aphodiinae) is currently comprised of three species: A. marini Báguena, 1930 and A. ambrosi (Pardo Alcaide, 1936) from southern Spain and Morocco and A. bischoffi (Všetečka, 1939) from Albania (see e.g., Dellacasa et al. 2001, 2002, 2016). The distribution and bionomy of both of the western Mediterranean Ahermodontus species are relatively well known. Contrastingly, A. bischoffi was described using a single female specimen collected by A. Bischoff in Llogara, Albania in 1934 (Všetečka 1939) and additional specimens remained unknown until now. Geodesist Alfons Bischoff (1890–1942) was a famous Albanian speleologist and insect collector (Horn et al. 1990; Genest & Juberthie 1994; Zhalov 2015). He often made his insect material accessible to specialists on particular insect groups and several species is dedicated to him: for example, the Carabidae (Coleoptera) species Duvalius bischoffi Meschnigg, 1936, Pterostichus bischoffianus Jedlička, 1936, and Zabrus bischoffi Müller, 1936, and the paper wasp Polistes bischoffi Weyrauch, 1937 (Hymenoptera: Vespidae).

Forty species in 19 genera are recorded from Yemen. Three new genera are described: Paglianotilla gen. nov. (type species P. hogenesi sp. nov.), Rasnitsynitilla gen. nov. (type species R. brachyptera sp. nov.), and Vanhartenidia gen. nov. (type species V. felix sp. nov.). Ten new species are described: Arnoldtilla achterbergi sp. nov. (Yemen), Dentilla ehrenbergi sp. nov. (Yemen, Saudi Arabia), P. hogenesi sp. nov. (Yemen), R. brachyptera sp. nov. (Yemen), R. invreai sp. nov. (Yemen), R. schmideggeri sp. nov. (Yemen), V. arabica sp. nov. (Yemen), V. felix sp. nov. (Yemen), V. tihama sp. nov. (Yemen), and Spinulomutilla yemenita sp. nov. (Yemen). Hitherto unknown females are recognized for Arnoldtilla Nonveiller, Omotilla Invrea, and Tropidotilla milmili (Magretti). New synonymy is proposed for Omotilla Invrea 1943 = Conjunctotilla Nonveiller 1996, syn. nov.; Pseudophotopsis aurea (Klug 1829) = Mutilla kassalina Magretti 1898, syn. nov., P. continua arabica Hammer 1962, syn. nov. New status is proposed for Arnoldtilla Nonveiller, Myrmilla rubida Magretti, M. parvula Magretti, Glossotilla djiboutiensis Bischoff, V. kassalana (Bischoff), V. pyrrhospilota (Bischoff). Abstract:

The monotypic subfamily Pseudophotopsidinae Bischoff, 1920 (Hymenoptera: Mutillidae) from the Arabian Peninsula is revised. Six Pseudophotopsis species are reported from Saudi Arabia, Oman and Yemen. Two new species, P. dhofarensissp. nov. (male) from Oman and P. subaureasp. nov. (male) from Saudi Arabia, are described and illustrated. The hitherto unknown female of P. mascatiana Invrea, 1962 is described and P. aegyptiaca (Bischoff, 1920) (female) is associated and synonymized with P. maura Bischoff, 1920 (male). An illustrated key for the species and their distribution in the Arabian Peninsula are provided.

Abstract:

Information is provided for 346 genus-group names used in Mutillidae, including 53 unavailable names: eight nomina nuda, seven lapsus calami, 36 incorrect subsequent spellings and two not considered valid when proposed. Of the 293 available names, 238 are currently considered valid: 208 of these are generic and 30 are subgeneric, 161 are known from both sexes, 40 from males only and 30 from females only (for the other seven one sex is uncertainly associated); of the 55 invalid names, 12 are objectively invalid (eight junior homonyms, four junior objective synonyms), 42 are junior subjective synonyms and one is a nomen dubium. Gender, type species and kind of fixation, taxonomic history and status, sex association, and distribution data are given for each available name. The following new nomenclatural acts are included: Wallacidia Lelej & Brothers gen. nov. Abstract:

John Bischoff has been part of the formation and growth of electronic and computer music in the San Francisco Bay Area for over three decades. In an interview with the author, he describes his early development as a student of experimental music technology, including the impact of hearing and assisting in the work of David Tudor. Bischoff, like Tudor, explored the unpredictable potentials within electronic components, and he brought this curiosity to bear when he began working on one of the first available micro-computers. He was a key individual at the historical turning point when computer music escaped its institutional restric-tions and began becoming widespread.

Abstract:

Fiber reinforced polymer rebars have advantages of light weight, high tensile strength and excellent corrosion resistance. However, researches showed that [1-2], the low elastic modulus of FRP rebar resulting in a larger deflection than steel reinforced concrete beam in equivalent condition. Therefore, it is crucial to control the deflections in serviceability limit states. Three GFRP reinforced concrete beams were tested with four-point bending, deducing the cracking moment formula of the FRP reinforced beam. Then, Bischoff model is adopted to calculate the deflection, and reaching a good agreement with the experimental results. We recommend Bischoff model to evaluate the immediate deflections.

Abstract:

Seventeen species of Epeolus Latreille, 1802 and one species of Triepeolus Robertson, 1901 have been recorded from Europe. Members of these genera are cuckoo bees, cleptoparasites that appropriate provisions of other bee genera (Colletes Latreille [hosts of Epeolus] and Tetraloniella Ashmead [hosts of Palaearctic Triepeolus]) for their own offspring. We present an identification key to all European species plus four species known from neighbouring regions (the Middle East and North Africa) that might also occur in Europe. The taxonomy of all species is reviewed, with new synonymies proposed, one subspecies elevated to a species (Epeolus eriwanensis Bischoff, 1930, stat. nov.), and a new species (Epeolus ibericus Bogusch, sp. nov.) described. Five new synonymies are proposed: E. giannelli Gribodo, 1894 syn. nov. and Epeolus speculifer Pérez, 1895 syn. nov. under E. fallax Morawitz, 1872, E. berlandi Benoist, 1943 syn. nov. and E. laevigatus Bischoff, 1930 syn. nov. under E. flavociliatus Friese, 1899, and E. julliani Pérez, 1884 syn. nov. under E. transitorius Eversmann, 1852. The following species are redescribed because their identity is less clear due to type specimens and/or vague original descriptions: Epeolus aureovestitus Dours, 1873, Epeolus cruciger (Panzer, 1799), Epeolus fallax Morawitz, 1872, Epeolus schummeli Schilling, 1849, Epeolus siculus Giordani Soika, 1944, and Epeolus variegatus (Linnaeus, 1758). Males are described for the first time for the following species: Epeolus compar Alfken, 1938, Epeolus eriwanensis Bischoff, 1930, Epeolus intermedius Pérez, 1884, Epeolus laevifrons Bischoff, 1930, and Epeolus subrufescens Saunders, 1908. Distribution maps created using records from the literature and data from private and museum collections are also provided, which show changes in the distributions of epeoline bees before and after 1990. Several species are considered endangered, especially Epeolus fasciatus Friese, 1895, which is nearly extinct, and Epeolus tarsalis Morawitz, 1874, which was recently reported only from the coastal parts of the Netherlands and Belgium. Epeolus variegatus is the only common and widespread species still encountered in most of Europe. Comprehensive information on the ecology of these cuckoo bees is also included.

Abstract:

Abstract Chin-wen Chen described 28 species and 10 subspecies of the velvet ant genus Smicromyrme Thomson, 1870 in his 1957 revision of the Mutillidae of China and Taiwan. Most of them were subsequently transferred to 12 genera of the tribes Smicromyrmini Bischoff, 1920 and Trogaspidiini Bischoff, 1920. Four species and one subspecies, however, are still included in Smicromyrme. In the present paper, type specimens of these species are surveyed. As a result, Sinotilla serpa columnata (Chen, 1957), comb. nov., stat. nov. (♂), Si. spinicauda (Chen, 1957), comb. nov. (♀), and Si. trisecta (Chen, 1957), comb. nov. (♂) are transferred from Smicromyrme. Smicromyrme bidenticulatus Chen, 1957 (♂♀) and Sm. triguttatus Mickel, 1933 (= Sm. triguttatus latisquamula Chen, 1957, syn. nov.) (♀) remain in Smicromyrme. Smicromyrme (Erimyrme) triguttatus is newly recorded from Vietnam and Laos, and Mickelomyrme kuznetsovi Lelej, 1996 is newly recorded from China.

Este díptico se abre con un texto de Javier Gómez-Montero que esboza una semblanza del Taller de Traducción Literaria de La Laguna dirigido por Andrés Sánchez Robayna, recordando líneas maestras de su concepto de traducción como creación literaria e hitos especialmente significativos de esta importante iniciativa para las letras hispánicas. La contribución principal, de Christina Johanna Bischoff, da cuenta de la traducción al alemán de Sobre una confidencia del mar griego, precedido de Correspondencias, de Andrés Sánchez Robayna. Partiendo de un breve análisis de aspectos poéticos y poetológicos claves, se presentan las metas y algunos problemas clave de dicha traducción. Dieses Diptychon umfasst zwei Beiträge. Javier Gómez-Montero stellt die von Andrés Sánchez Robayna geleitete Übersetzerwerkstatt La Laguna (Taller de Traducción Literaria de La Laguna) vor, skizziert Sánchez Robaynas Konzept einer als literarische Schöpfung zu verstehenden Übersetzung und benennt die Meilensteine dieser für die spanische Literatur bedeutenden Initiative. Einen Schwerpunkt bildet sodann der Beitrag von Christina Johanna Bischoff, der über die deutsche Übersetzung von Sobre una confidencia del mar griego und Correspondencia von Andrés Sáchez Robayna berichtet. Ausgehend von einer knappen Analyse poetisch-poetologischer Aspekte der beiden Sammlungen werden die Zielsetzungen der Übersetzung vorgestellt und konkrete Übersetzungsprobleme erörtert.

In diesem Beitrag wurde die Rolle des Bischofs in der spatantiken Stadt besprochen. Die Aufmerksamkeit des Verfassers wurde vor allem auf eine Frage gelenkt: kann man die offentliche Tatigkeit des spatantiken Bischofs ais eine Fortsetzung der antiken Euergesia betrachten? Der Autor dieses Aufsatzes ist der Meinung, daB ja. Die Beantwortung dieser Frage stellen sich jedoch viele Schwierigkeiten entgegen, vor allem durch die Lakonitat der Ouellen, die die Tatigkeit der einzelnen Bischoffe betrifft.

Der Klosterplan von St. Gallen dürfte nicht mehr vorgestellt werden müssen: Seit mehr als vierhundert Jahren wird diese einmalige Quelle aus dem frühen Mittelalter, seit Anfang des neunten Jahrhunderts in der Stiftsbibliothek des ehemaligen benediktinischen Klosters St. Gallen aufbewahrt und gehütet, erforscht, analysiert und beschrieben. A review of nine species of the bee genus Epeolus Latreille, 1802 (Hymenoptera: Apidae, Nomadinae) currently known from Mongolia is given. Two new species, E. lelejisp. nov. and E. mongolicussp. nov. are described. The following five known species are newly recorded from Mongolia: E. alpinus Friese, 1893, E. cruciger (Panzer, 1799), E. melectiformis Yasumatsu, 1938, E. nudiventris Bischoff, 1930, and E. ruficornis Morawitz, 1875. A lectotype is designated for Epeolus tarsalis Morawitz, 1874.

Abstract:

Die Zeichnung einer umfangreichen Klosteranlage, die sich heute in der Stiftsbibliothek von St. Gallen befindet, ist eines der wertvollsten Dokumente karolingischer Kultur. Zudem ist sie bis zu den Reimser Palimpsesten (nach 1220) die einzige bauplanerische Zeichnung seit der Antike. Auf 5 zusammengenähten Pergamentstücken sind die Klosterkirche, die Klausur und eine Vielzahl von Nebengebäuden dargestellt. Seit Heinrich Canisius die Aufschriften 1604 publiziert hatte, entstand ein umfangreiches Schrifttum zum Klosterplan. Ein wichtiger Schritt in der Forschung war der Nachweis der Beschriftung und damit wohl auch der Anfertigung im Kloster Reichenau durch Bernhard Bischoff (Bischoff, Entstehung, 1953). Walter Horn und Ernest Born publizierten 1979 ihr monumentales dreibändiges Werk zum Klosterplan (The Plan of St. Gall), in dem sie diesen als Kopie eines verlorenen Originals deuteten und ein Raster als Planungsgrundlage nachzuweisen glaubten. In ähnlicher Weise äußerte sich Konrad Hecht in seiner Monographie zum Klosterplan und postuliert einen Maßstab von 1:192 (Hecht, Klosterplan, 1983, 16–56). Untersuchungen von <?page nr="355"?>Nobert Stachura (Stachura, Plan von St. Gallen, 1978), Werner Jacobsen (Jacobsen, Klosterplan, 1992), Robert Fuchs und Doris Oltrogge (Fuchs/Oltrogge, Ergebnisse, 2002, 307–331) wiesen jedoch zahlreiche Bildrillen, Zirkelrillen, Zirkelstiche, verworfene Vorzeichnungen und Korrekturen nach, sodass heute die These einer Kopie als widerlegt gelten kann. Jacobsen (Jacobsen, 1992, 74–78) rekonstruierte an Hand von Vorzeichnungen und Radierungen nachvollziehbar einen komplexen Entwurfsprozess der Klosterkirche mit mehreren verworfenen Vorentwürfen.

Empathie stellt eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für eine therapeutisch-pflegerische Beziehung dar. Bischoff-Wanner (2002) hat mit ihrer pflegespezifischen Definition von Empathie einen wesentlichen Beitrag dazu geleistet. Sie stellt fest, dass eine empathische Beziehung nicht zu emotionaler Überforderung bzw. zum Burn-out führt (vgl. Scheu, 2010a, S. 45-47). Um Empathie im Pflegealltag zu realisieren und diese transparent zu machen, ist es notwendig, empathisches Verstehen bereits in den pflegerischen Ausbildungen, aber auch in der pflegerischen Fort- und Weiterbildung geziehlt zu fördern.

Kennardiids, members of a family of organisms that bore phosphatic sclerites, are present in Antarctica; previously, they had been found only in Australia. This new occurrence reinforces the concept of a faunal province shared between the continents during Early Cambrian time. Although the two known genera of kennardiids, Dailyatia Bischoff and Kennardia Laurie occur in Antarctica and Australia, no species are common to both continents.Dailyatia is interpreted as having had tightly fitting sclerites that armored a bilaterally symmetrical, bipolar body; two alternative reconstructions are presented. Taxa include two new species, Dailyatia braddocki and Dailyatia odyssei, and two unnamed species of Kennardia.

Tertullian war durch den ganzen Zeitraum seines Lebens und Schaffens der Sprecher der Diszipłin. Er bemerkte in der christlichen Gemeinschaft diese, die leiten sie, und andere, die sind ihnen unterordnen. Bischofe, Priester und Diakone gehoren zu erster Gruppe. Die Bischofe leiten besonders die Kirche und sie sind Seelsorger. Sie bewahren auch „munera sacerdotałia". Diesem Gesetz des Bischofs verleugnete Tertullian niemals deutlich. Als zweite, separate Gruppe in der christlichen Gemeinschaft spezifiziert Tertullian die Laien. „Laici", ein mal verheiratete Manner, die zu „ordo Ecclesie" (Kirchrangordnung) nicht gehoren, haben auch die priesterliche Wurde. Die priesterliche Wurde der Glaubigen hat der allgemeine Charakter. Die priesterliche Funktionen uben in der christlichen Gemeinschaft Bischofe, Priester und Diakone, mit der Rucksicht auf der Disziplin und der Ordnung in der Kirche. In den notwendigen Zufallen uben es auch die Laien, das heiBt die Manner. Tertullian lehnt deutlich das Gesetz der Frauen die priesterliche Funktionen auszuuben ab. Trotz der deutlichen Absonderung durch Tertullian zwei Zustande in der Kirche, ist die Linie der Aufteilung zwischen Geistlichern und Laien in den Zeiten Tertullians in dem Grund der Sache genug gelaufig.

Abstract:

In der reichen Sammlung der Werke des heiligen Augustinus befinden sich auch Schriften, die einen Charakter der biblischen Kommentare haben. Zu ihnen gehören auch unter anderem Homilien In Joannis Evangelium tractatus und In Joannis Epistolam ad Parthos tractatus. Der auf die biblischen Schriften zurückgreifende Bischoff von Hippo machte er nicht nur deren Exegese sondern auch trug er verschiedene Probleme unter anderem aus dem Bereich der dogmatischen und moralischen Theologie vor. In diesem Artikel wurde das Motiv der seelischen Krankheit des Menschen dargestellt, die der sich mit allegorischer Interpretationsweise von Heiliger Schrift bedienende heilige Augustinus in den erwähnten Homilien mithilfe der Begriffe, die sich auf Erscheinung der körperlichen Krankheit beziehen, beschrieb. Aus diesem Grund bezeichnete er den Stand der Seelenkrankheit unter anderem als „morbus”, „caecitas”, „aegritudo”, oder „vulnera”. Auf der Basis von Analyse der Texte der Lehre von Augustinus wurde ausgewiesen, dass die seelische Krankheit die weit verstandene Sünde ist. Bischoff von Hippo stellt fest, dass die Ursache der seelischen Krankheit vor allem Hochmut ist, und bezeichnet sie als „caput omnium morborum”. Die Ursache der seelischen Krankheit ist für heiligen Augustinus auch Mangel an Liebe, wahrgenommen als „radix omnium peccatorum”. Der Mensch, der von seelischer Krankheit also Sünde betroffen ist, kann sich selbst nicht heilen. Das kann nur Jesus Christus tun – Göttlicher Arzt. Wie heiliger Augustinus feststellte, ist seitens des Menschen Mühe notwendig, damit die Krankheit geheilt werden könnte. Vor allem soll der Mensch anerkennen, dass er krank ist. Aus diesem Grund ist aüßerst wichtig voller Demut Geständnis der eigenen Sünden („confesio”). Es ist nötig, dass der Mensch mit tifer Glaube Jesus Christus annimmt, der einzig Heilung von der seelischen Krankheit vollbringen kann. Der Mensch bewirkt, dass seine Krankheit heilbar – sanabilis wird, indem er diese Bedingungen erfüllt.
