Abstract:
The electrospinning method has been used successfully to make polyvinylpyrrolidone nanofiber containing Anredera cordifolia leaves (BLE). The research methods used were qualitative and pure experiment method. Polyvinilpirolidone nanofibers containing BLE were prepared with three mass variations of the polyvinylpyrrolidone (% w/w), namely 12%, 10%, and 8% w/w, respectively. The results of the macroscopic photo show that the fiber structure looks white for PVP nanofibers and yellow for PVP/BLE nanofibers. The fiber morphology was analyzed using SEM and the results showed that PVP and all PVP/BLE nanofibers were like a continuous strand of crossbars with a diameter of 590 – 1190 nm. The decrease in the concentration of the PVP polymer led to a reduction in the diameter of the resulting nanofibers. The coefficients of variance (ε), of the PVP, BLE1, BLE2, and BLE3 nanofibers were 0.06, 0.09, 0.11, and 1.22, respectively. The physicochemical structure of the nanofibers was evaluated using XRD and FTIR. The chemical analysis (FTIR) showed that there was a molecular interaction between Anredera cordifolia leaves extract and polyvinylpyrrolidone in the form of hydrogen bonds. The physics analysis (XRD) shows the effect of the electrospinning process, which is to change the structure of BLE crystals to semi crystals. The application of PVP/BLE nanofiber for wounds dressing

Abstract:
This study aims to determine the bioactivity of L.domesticum as cosmetic ingredient. The extraction was prepared by maceration with ethanol 96 % and ethyl acetate to obtain ethanolic extract of fruit flesh (BLE), ethanolic extract of fruit peel (KLE), ethyl acetate extract of fruit flesh (KLE) and fruit peel (KLEA). Then, determination of compounds was conducted by thin layer chromatography (TLC) and analysed of total phenolic and flavonoid content with colorimetric method. The antioxidant capacity was measured using radical scavenging assay of 1,2-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), β-carotene bleaching assay (BCB) and ferric reducing antioxidant power assay (FRAP). The inhibitory effect of skin degradation enzymes (anti-aging) was carried out using elastase and collagenase assay. The tyrosinase inhibitory effect was determined using mushroom tyrosinase. Based on TLC result, extract of L.domesticum containing phenolic, flavonoids, terpenoids and steroids compounds. The largest of total flavonoid content was obtained in KLE (4,76±0,26 %b/b EQ) and phenolic total content in BLEA (6,4±0,15 %b/b EG). Sequence of antioxidant activity measured using DPPH method was BLEA> KLE> BLE> KLEA; while using BCB method and FRAP method were respectively KLEA>BLEA> KLE> BLE; and BLEA> KLE> BLE> KLEA. KLE and KLEA extracts showed the most potent to remaining activity of the enzyme elastase and collagenase. In addition, BLE extract has the higest tyrosinase inhibition than others. Based on these results it can be concluded that the extracts of the fruit flesh and fruit peel of L. domesticum can be used as a cosmetic active ingredient for anti-aging and anti-tyrosinase.

Abstract:
Introducción: Las infecciones causadas por bacterias resistentes a múltiples antibióticos son un problema mundial. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar el perfil de resistencia antimicrobiana de Escherichia coli y Klebsiella pneumoniae en pacientes que acudieron al Hospital del Norte, Cochabamba - Bolivia. Método: La población estuvo conformada por 134 pacientes. Se incluyeron muestras de orina, esputo, punta de catéter, aspirado traqueal, secreción vaginal, líquido abdominal, absceso, secreción faríngea y secreción escrotal, provenientes de pacientes de ambos sexos y que fueron atendidos entre los meses de diciembre 2022 – abril 2023. El aislamiento e identificación de bacterias se realizó en Agar, Sangre, Mac Conkey, Eosina Azul de Metileno (EMB), pruebas bioquímicas y determinación de resistencia y sensibilidad antibiótica in vitro utilizando el método de disco difusión en agar. Resultados: Los microorganismos que se aislaron con mayor prevalencia fue Escherichia coli con 93,3 %, seguido por Klebsiella pneumoniae con 6,7 %. Ambos microorganismos presentaron mecanismos de resistencia de tipo betalactamasas de espectro extendido (BLEE), betalactamasas de espectro ampliado (BLEA) y serin-betalactamasas (AMPc). Conclusión: La bacteria más aislada fue la Escherichia coli productora de BLEE, BLEA y AMPc, con mayor frecuencia en el sexo femenino. Presentando multirresistencia a los antibióticos cefazolina, ácido Nalidíxico, ciprofloxacina, ampicilina y gentamicina. Y K. pneumoniae presento multirresistencia a cefazolina, ciprofloxacina, ampicilina, cefotaxima y gentamicina.

Både for at dække dette hul i medie-faglittera- turen og for at forsyne de mere specifikke artikler om genreproblem- stillinger i dette nummer med et indledende rids bringer vi her Jerry Palmers lille artikel, der dels anskuer genre i et kort historisk perspek- tiv (tilbage til Platon og Aristoteles), dels opridser nogle positioner i den nyere debat. Abstract:
Abstract Introduction Ballistic limit equations (BLEs) are used to predict the performance of a spacecraft shield or component when impacted by a space debris particle. Together with impact flux estimates, BLEs are inputs to mission risk assessments which estimate the probability of mission failure arising from operating spacecraft in a congested debris environment. For such risk assessments a BLE must be assigned to every external structure and critical component onboard a spacecraft, including dedicated shielding, thermal blankets, batteries, propellent tanks, cable harnesses, etc. NASA’s handbook on micrometeoroid and orbital debris (MMOD) protection [1] provided an overview of many BLEs, together with an accompanying software package [2] and user manual that includes validation information for many of the equations [3]. However, the software package in [2] had limited distribution, was closed-source, and was never updated. Although most BLEs are straight-forward to implement in risk assessment software packages, some include recursive constants that require optimization during the calculation, e.g., the Reimerdes-modified Whipple shield BLE [4], etc. In addition, several original BLE publications include typos and mistakes, e.g., [3][4], complicating their replication, see e.g., [5].

Abstract:
The advances in automatic sign language translation (SLT) to spoken languages have been mostly benchmarked with datasets of limited size and restricted domains. Our work advances the state of the art by providing the first baseline results on How2Sign, a large and broad dataset. We train a Transformer over I3D video features, using the reduced BLEU as a reference metric for validation, instead of the widely used BLEU score. We report a result of 8.03 on the BLEU score, and publish the open source implementation to promote further advances.

Abstract:
This study investigates the readiness and challenges European companies face in embracing a data-driven economy. By conducting a comprehensive survey of 1,200 European companies spanning various industries and sizes, we reveal a mixed outlook on the data economy's potential to offer a competitive advantage. We find that 20% have already leveraged data to gain competitive advantage, a majority see potential benefits, while 19% perceive no advantage. Importantly, our findings highlight the need for substantial business model transformations to capitalize on data-driven opportunities. The paper also identifies the obstacles faced by companies in adopting a data-driven approach, including legal complexity, lack of data, competence in data-driven business models and technological competence. Challenges are most pronounced among micro-sized businesses and sectors like arts, entertainment, leisure, and international NGOs. Overall, the research suggests that if the company has the skills, a data economy has the potential to drive innovation and growth. By identifying the disparities in readiness and perception across different sectors and company sizes, this study contributes to a more informed discourse on fostering a conducive environment for all companies to thrive in the data-driven economy.

Abstract:
There is a need for modernizing the Dutch collective management system of music copyright to match the rapidly changing digital music industry. Focusing on the often-neglected human values aspect, this study, part of a larger PhD research, examines the value preferences of music rights holders: creators and publishers. It aims to advise on technological redesign for music copyright management system and contribute to discussions on equitable collective management. Building upon prior research, which comprehensively analyzed the Dutch music copyright system and identified key stakeholders, this paper analyses 24 interviews with those key stakeholders to identify their values and potential value tensions. Initial findings establish a set of shared values, crucial for the next phases of the study – values operationalization. This research makes a academic contribution by integrating the Value Sensitive Design (VSD) approach with Distributive Justice Theory, enriching VSD's application and enhancing our understanding of the Economics of Collective Management (ECM).

We analyzed the existing documentation and conducted semi-structured interviews with digital public service providers and use the Estonia as a case study to map the current obstacles. To resolve the cross-border interoperability issues that digital public services face, we explore the existing state of play for cross-border use cases through a process design and highlighting the requirements for cross-border interoperability infrastructure. As a result, we provide recommendations overcoming the barriers that affect cross-border digital public service delivery.

Abstract:
Under 1900-talet skedde en snabb tillväxt av antalet företag i Sverige som tillverkade jordbruksmaskiner och -redskap. Det är lätt att konstatera att de allra flesta av dessa försvann från marknaden med tiden. Rolf Larsson nämner i sin bok Från stall till maskinhall att av de 200 svenska maskintillverkare som han tar upp under 1900-talet, överlevde endast ett 40-tal millennieskiftet. Det kan därför vara intressant att försöka ta reda på vad som egentligen hände med alla de företag som var framgångsrika under vissa delar av 1900-talet, men som senare under seklet kom att läggas ned, köpas upp av andra företag, eller försvinna från marknaden av andra orsaker. Finns det identifierbara orsaker till detta som går att dra lärdomar av för dagens företag inom denna bransch vid en historisk genomgång? Denna studie är ett försök att fånga orsakerna till förändringarna vid de tillverkande företagen.Orsakerna till varför företagen eller deras produkter försvann från marknaden kan i många fall vara svåra att klarlägga i efterhand, men i bakgrunden kan det finnas både generella faktorer som gäller alla företag och sådana som är företagsspecifika. För alla företag har det för deras överlevnad gällt att klara marknadens omvandlingstryck, som i sin tur har berott på den stora strukturomvandling som det svenska lantbruket genomgått under förra seklet. Den ökande stordriften orsakade samtidigt en omfattande nedläggning av de mindre brukningsenheterna och en omläggning av produktionens inriktning. Inte minst kom de stora tekniska förändringarna med elektrifiering, motorisering, traktorisering, m.m., att driva på omställningen mot ett lantbruk som under 1900-talets lopp blev allt mer marknadsinriktat. Detta påverkade inte minst de företag som tillverkade maskiner och redskap för lantbruket. Här görs försök att skissa ett antal anledningar till nedläggningarna, eller försvinnandet från marknaden, för dessa företag. Det kan här urskiljas åtminstone ha fyra ”nivåer”: Den generella nivån som kan gälla för alla kommersiella företag, den nivå som gäller specifikt för tillverkande företag, den som gäller de företag som tillverkade tekniska produkter riktade till lantbruket och till sist den företagsspecifika nivå som kan förklara varför ett enskilt företag lade ner eller på annat sätt drog sig undan från marknaden. För att åskådliggöra och konkretisera detta ges även ett antal exempel.

Rapporten är en förstudie till ett planerat projekt om författningsfrågans utveckling i Sverige 1950-1980. Ett under 1950-talet påbörjat arbete med att reformera 1809 års regeringsform övergick efterhand i allt mer radikala krav från delar av det politiska etablissemanget på en total nyskrivning av hela den svenska författningen. Detta ledde bland annat fram till införandet av 1974 års regeringsform som gjorde Sverige till republik i allt utom till namnet trots ett omvittnat folkligt ointresse för hela författningsfrågan. Här undersöks huvuddragen i den politiska process inom framförallt det socialdemokratiska partiet som gjorde denna utveckling möjlig. Resultaten indikerar att socialdemokraternas omsvängning i författningsfrågan skedde relativt hastigt, att det inom partiet främst var unga intellektuella som drev frågan samtidigt som partiledaren Tage Erlander gjorde vad han kunde för att minimera det politiska inflytandet från den republikanska falangen, delvis i samverkan med de borgerliga partierna.

Via blandt andet årlige intensive læringscamps og løbende mentorordninger som supplement til skolens læringsmiljø har projektet haft som overordnet mål at forbedre anbragte børns skolefaglige præstationer og herigennem øge antallet af anbragte unge, der starter på en ungdomsuddannelse efter skolen. I tilknytning til projektet blev etableret et følgeforskningsprojekt, som blev varetaget af DPU, Aarhus Universitet, der fulgte projektet i årene 2014-2020.

Notatet giver et overblik over, og beskriver centrale karakteristika ved fire gængse klassifikationssystemer i Danmark: BIMTypeCode, CCS/CCI, Forvaltnings Klassifikation og SfB. Dernæst beskrives fire forskellige tilgange til klassifikation: Hierarkiske, træstrukturbaserede, paradigmatiske og facetbaserede systemer. Den facetbaserede tilgang blev udvalgt som særligt lovende, og der blev opstillet et antal dogmer for det videre arbejde med en facetbaseret klassifikation. En screening af facetter i gængse klassifikationssystemer viser at: - Der er stor variation i detaljeringsniveauet mellem forskellige klassifikationssystemer. - Alle systemer anvender koder, der ofte er en unik identifikation af, hvilket system der er anvendt. - De fleste systemer fokuserer på bygninger og bygningsdele, men nogle kan også bruges til opmærkning i forhold til aktører og organisering. - Screeningen har identificeret forskellige mulige facetter, herunder hierarki, placering, produktionsform, bygningstype, gruppering af elementer, materialer, rum og øvrige typer. - De færreste systemer forholder sig eksplicit til elementer, der ikke er bygningsdele, såsom indtægter, forvaltning eller nødvendige drifts- og renholdsaktiviteter knyttet til bygningsdele. En facetbaseret tilgang til klassifikation har et betydeligt potentiale, men også en række begrænsninger, ligesom projektgruppen anbefaler en AI-baseret tilgang fremadrettet.

Under 2020 fick vi lära oss vad resiliens betyder i praktiken. Coronaepidemin blev plötsligt en realitet i början av året. Det innebar ett historiskt beslut av regeringen att den 18 mars låta all högre utbildning i Sverige gå över i ett digitalt läge. Det utmanade universitetsbibliotekets verksamhet på många vis, men att vara resilient betyder att kunna hantera förändringar och att fortsätta utvecklas. En kris kan skapa möjligheter till lärande, nytänkande och innovationer.

Denne rapport har til formål at sammenfatte, hvordan HF-uddannelsen på Steinersko-lerne har fungeret, siden den implementeredes i 2018. Evalueringen har over en 2-årig periode fulgt to hovedspor, nemlig på den ene side et spørgeskema til alle elever på Steiner HF og på den anden side kvalitative interviews med rektorer og lærere ved de 5 HF-skoler inden for sammenslutningen af Steinersko-lerne i Danmark. Spørgeskemaet sigtede efter at frembringe et samlet overblik over eleverne (køn og so-cial baggrund), deres vurdering af HF-undervisningen ved de 5 skoler, deres ønsker om videre uddannelse efter HF og tillige også, om de har haft behov for at supplere deres HF-uddannelse med gymnasiale suppleringskurser for at kunne blive optaget på den uddannelse, de har ønsket at gennemføre. Samtalerne med rektorer og lærere har i særdeleshed været optaget af, hvordan de 5 skoler har formået at implementere de mange og omfattende ændringer, som en over-gang fra friskole til kombineret institution med privat gymnasium har indebåret. Æn-dringerne har bestået i faglig kompetenceudvikling af lærere ved skolerne (f.eks. i form af universitetseksamener og pædagogikum), rekruttering af nye lærere til at dække de fag, HF forudsættes at omfatte, og ikke mindst organisatoriske forandringer som følge af etableringen af HF på 5 Steinerskoler. Disse interviews blev gennemført af videnska-belig assistent Naya Lykke Jørgensen og ph.d.-studerende Malene Engsig Brodersen, DPU. På grundlag heraf skrev Naya og Malene en samlet rapport, som blev drøftet med følgegruppen og rektorer på et møde i maj måned 2022. Fra mødet og efterfølgende ind-kom kommentarer og forslag til forbedringer, som er indgået i den endelige rapport, der udgør en del af denne samlede afrapportering. Selve evalueringen har fundet sted i et tæt samarbejde med skolernes følgegruppe og Steinerskolernes sekretariat. Et første udkast til elektronisk spørgeskema udformet af projektleder med teknisk bistand fra ph.d.-studerende Anders Astrup Christensen, DPU, diskuteredes ad flere omgange, inden det fandt sin endelige og således også rele-vante form, bl.a. efter at have været pilottestet af tidligere HF-elever. Målet var at skabe sikkerhed for, at eleverne kunne forstå spørgsmålene og dermed var sikre på, hvad de blev bedt om at svare på. Skemaet udsendtes august 2021 til Steiner HFs første kuld som surveyXact. Besvarelsesprocenten var over 85, hvilket betød, at forskere og følgegruppe havde et bredt og robust fundament for at kunne gennemgå det indkomne materiale og foretage de første deskriptive analyser af fundene i skemaet. I løbet af efteråret 2021 og foråret 2022 blev skemaet endnu engang gennemgået i dybden, spørgsmål tilrettet og nye spørgsmål tilføjet. Derefter udsendtes det reviderede skema til alle tidligere HF-ele- ver, hvorved et ensartet grundlag for besvarelse var sikret. I alt udsendtes skemaet i au- gust 2022 til 360 elever. Heraf besvarede 344 enten hele spørgeskemaet eller betydelige dele heraf. Selve rapporten er opbygget i tre dele. Første del (A) gennemgår fundene i spørgeske- maet, anden del (B) består af en rapport byggende på samtaler og interviews med rekto- rer og lærere, mens tredje del (C) består af oversigter over kompetenceløftet for under- viserne. Vi vil gerne benytte lejligheden til at takke rektorer, lærere, HF-unge samt følgegruppen for venlig imødekommenhed og frugtbare diskussioner undervejs i forløbet.
