This observation has motivated us to develop a so-called “automatic” design methodology that determines the linkage type and dimensions during synthesis process. This work uses on-line monitoring of turbidity to ascertain the temperature impact on the mixing performance of kneading blocks with different geometries. For this purpose, one of the barrel segments of the extruder was modified to incorporate four sampling devices and a slit die containing optical windows. The experiments consisted in reaching steady extrusion and then adding a small amount of tracer. Upon opening each sampling device, material was laterally detoured from the local screw channel and its turbidity were measured by the optical detector. Residence time distribution (RTD) curves

Abstract:
Blockchain technology is famously considered a “trust machine”. It is a machine (a set of code and procedures) that will make transactions reliable without the need to trust any particular person. In other words, the blockchain replaces trust of persons with trust of computational systems. But there is a little problem. What makes the machine trustworthy? The members of the blockchain network must agree on the validity of the transactions to be registered in the network. Once they agree, then the transaction is encrypted in a “block” of data, that is chained to previous blocks. This is done in

Abstract:
This methodological work develops a representation of carbon pricing through the KAPSARC Global Energy Macroeconometric Model (KGEMM). This representation makes two principal contributions in terms of model capabilities: establishing a feedback link from the emissions block to the energy block and connecting the emissions block to the fiscal block, as the government collects revenue from the carbon dioxide emitted by customers / sectors.

This report investigates and develops specifications for using blockchain and distributed organizations to enable decentralized delivery and finance of urban infrastructure. The project explores use cases, including: providing urban greening, street or transit infrastructure; services for street beautification, cleaning and weed or graffiti abatement; potential ways of resource allocation ADU; permitting and land allocation; and homeless housing. It establishes a general process flow for this blockchain architecture, which involves: 1) the creation of blocks (transactions); 2) sending these bl

In this work multispectral reflectance images are used in conjunction with a neural network classifier for the purpose of detecting and classifying weeds under real field conditions. Multispectral reflectance images which contained different combinations of weeds and crops were taken under actual field conditions. This multispectral reflectance information was used to develop algorithms that could segment the plants from the background as well as classify them into weeds or crops. In order to segment the plants from the background the multispectrial reflectance of plants and background were st

The demand for creating diverse programs is increasingly prominent in the computer market and the flourishing realm of mobile devices. Furthermore, mobile phones have become essential work tools and are extensively used in various activities, including work, entertainment, education, IoT. Consequently, there is a growing need for modern, versatile, and efficient tools to facilitate the creation of such programs. Presently, this issue is particularly relevant as the development of these programs primarily relies on programmers with specialized education and experience who possess the requisite
