Abstract:
Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka kommentarsfälten på svenska litteraturbloggar, och diskursanalys används för att avgöra hur diskursen ser ut. Diskussionen i kommentarsfälten ställs i relation till forskning om traditionella läsgrupper, för att se om och hur fenomenen kompletterar varandra. Uppsatsens frågeställning är ”Hur diskuteras och tolkas litteratur i bloggkommentarer?”.Uppsatsens resultat visar att en tiondel av de 165 kommentarer som studerats innehåller tolkning. Detta innebär att de läsare som söker sig till de studerade litteraturbloggarnas kommentarsfält inte huvudsakligen gör det för att tolka litteratur. Diskursen präglas av utvärdering av böcker och läs-ning. Kommentatörerna har ett behov av att uttrycka sina känslor om litteraturen de läser snarare än att söka efter verkens betydelse eller författarens intention.Det finns en livlig interaktion mellan olika kommentatörer, vilket gör att relationer skapas mellan kommentatörer och även mellan olika litteraturbloggar. Traditionella läsgrupper består ofta av en bestämd grupp som träffas vid bestämda tider, medan vissa av kommentatörerna i undersökningen endast deltagit med en enda kommentar. Det finns samtidigt kommentatörer som återkommer i flera kommentarstrådar. Kommentarsfälten kan knappas anses vara en ersättning till den traditio-nella läsgruppen, men dock ett komplement för läsare som vill diskutera sin upplevelse och söker ett socialt utbyte i flera gemenskaper.<br>The aim of the essay has been to examine commentaries on Swedish literature blogs. Discourse analysis has been used to determine the nature of the discourse. The discourse has been compared to research on traditional reading groups, in order to determine if and how the phenomena sup-plement one another. The question of the essay is: “How is literature discussed and interpreted in blog commentaries?”The results show that one tenth of the 165 commentaries that have been studied contain interpre-tation. This means that the readers who visit the blogs do not mainly do this to interpret literature. The discourse is characterized by evaluation of books and reading. The commentators have a need to express their feelings about the literature they are reading rather than search for the meaning of the work, or the intention of the author.Among commentators, the interaction is active. As a result, relationships are created amongst commentators and different literature blogs. Traditional reading groups often consist of a set mem-bership that meet on fixed times, while some of the commentators in the study have participated only with one entry. The blog commentaries can hardly replace the traditional reading group, but it can however be a complement for the reader who wants to discuss his or her experience and search for a social community in which to do so.

Abstract:
Den här uppsatsen undersöker hur sponsrat material smälter in i det övriga innehållet, i två etablerade bloggar. Den ena är Petra Tungårdens professionella blogg och den andra är Nicole Falcianis privata blogg. Det är en jämförande studie mellan sponsrade blogginlägg och osponsrade inlägg. Studien är en kvalitativ retorikanalys som med hjälp av teorierna native advertising, retorik, personligt varumärke och parasocial interaktion undersöker hur de två bloggarna men hjälp av argumentation säjer in produkter eller tjänster till sina läsare. Resultatet visar att det finns både likheter och skillnader mellan argumentationen i de sponsrade och de osponsrade inläggen. Gemensamt för bloggarna är att det finns betydligt fler skillnader än likheter i argumentationen, men i den privata bloggen fanns det mycket fler skillnader jämfört den professionella. Vidare diskuteras att skillnaderna inte är tillräckligt markanta för att läsarna ska kunna upptäcka dem, och att problematiken med att urskilja sponsrat material kvarstår.<br>This paper investigates how sponsored content blend in with the other content, in two established blogs. One is Petra Tungården who has a professional blog, and one is Nicole Falciani's personal blog. It is a comparative study between sponsored blog posts and non-sponsored blog posts. The study is a qualitative rhetoric analysis using the theories native advertising, rhetoric, personal branding and parasocial interaction to investigate how the two bloggers recommend products or services to their readers with the help of argumentation. The result shows that the argumentation for the sponsored and the non-sponsored posts have both smililarities and differences. Both blogs have many more differences than similarities, but the personal blog turned out to have much more differences than the professional one. Further on it is discussed that the differences are not sufficientlly pronounced to the readers to detect them, and that the problem of distinguishing the sponsored content remains.

Abstract:
Bakgrund: I Sverige lever ca 20 000 personer med stomi. En stomi medför en kroppslig förändring som individen måste förhålla sig till. Både kroppen och dess funktioner som tidigare tagits för givna medvetandegörs. Det finns en oro för vad andra ska tycka och att stomin ska hindra i det dagliga livet. Empowerment sågs som en röd tråd i bloggarna och växte fram som referensram under arbetets gång. Syfte: Att belysa vad som skrevs om stomi i sjukdomsbloggar där stomiopererade skriver om sin vardag. Metod: Studien var en empirisk studie av sjukdomsbloggar. Fem sjukdomsbloggar om stomi valdes ut för manifest innehållsanalys med induktiv ansats. Resultat: I resultatet framgick vad personerna som skrev bloggarna upplevde som viktigt för att kunna hantera livet med stomi. I resultatet framkom de tre kategorierna stöd, självkännedom och egenvård. Slutsats: Empowerment kan hjälpa de stomiopererade att få tillbaka kontrollen över sitt liv efter stomioperationen.<br>Background: Around 20 000 people are currently living with ostomy in Sweden today. An ostomy involves a physical change that the individual has to relate to. It raises awareness of the body and its functions which were previously taken for granted. There is a concern for what others will think and also a concern that the ostomy will prevent them from living a normal life. Empowerment could be seen as a common theme in the blogs that were studied and emerged as the framework during the working process. Aim: To study what was written about ostomy in illness blogs where ostomates writes about their daily life. Method: The study was an empirical study of illness blogs. Five illness blogs about ostomy was selected for a manifest content analysis with an inductive approach. Results: The results showed what the people who wrote the blogs perceived as important in order to be able to handle a life with ostomy. The results of the study revealed the three main categories - support, self-knowledge and self-care. Conclusion: Empowerment can help the ostomates to regain control of their life after the ostomy surgery.

Les blogs ont marqué les années 2000, passant de quelques centaines d’espaces créés au début de la décennie à quelques 160 millions d’unités indexées par les moteurs de recherche dédiés. Ce travail doctoral entend contribuer à la compréhension du phénomène et de sa dynamique. Il est principalement centré sur le cas français sur une période courant de 2002, lorsque les premières plateformes de blogs apparaissent, jusqu’à 2009, quand entrent en lice des sites qualifiés de réseaux sociaux. Deux démarches empiriques ont été menées de front. La première a reposé sur l’observation générale des dynamiques qui ont accompagné l’essor des blogs. Ce travail montre que les mondes du blog sont marqués par un processus de segmentation. Celle-ci est liée à des formes d’appropriation différenciées d’un même format de publication, donnant naissance à une variété de mondes sociaux entrecroisés. La seconde démarche a reposé sur le suivi longitudinal des « carrières » de dix blogueurs sur la période. Pour ces derniers, les mondes du blog ont offert un cadre à des activités de publication. Ils ont progressivement appris à évoluer dans une semi-obscurité dans le but de ne pas jouir d’une trop grande visibilité, tout en trouvant les ressources nécessaires à l’entretien de leurs sociabilités culturelles. À l’articulation de ces deux approches de terrain se déploie la notion interactionniste de monde social, combinée avec des sociologies de la médiation, des attachements et du goût. Derrière cet assemblage méthodologique, c’est finalement un autre objet qui transparaît : la réception. Ce travail est aussi une tentative pour comprendre les publics des blogs<br>The 2000s have been marked by blogs, starting out with the creation of a few hundred blogs spaces at the start of the decade to number around 160 million units indexed by dedicated search engines. This doctoral thesis aims to contribute to undestanding the phenomenon and its dynamics. France is the main focus of study, from 2002 when the first blog platforms began to appear, until 2009 when the websites qualifying as social networks entered the arena. Two empirical approaches have been adopted. The first approach consists of a general observation of the dynamics which surrounded the soar in the development of blogs. We demonstrate that the world of blogs can be identified by a process of segmentation, linked to differentiated forms of appropriation of the same publication format, giving rise to a variety of intertwined social worlds. The second approach comprises a longitudinal study of the "careers" of ten bloggers over the reference period. For these individuals, the world of blogs has enabled them to undertake publication activities. Over time, they have learned how to progress in the blog world twilight zone, thereby avoiding excessive visibility whilst still finding the resources necessary to remaining culturally sociable. At the crossroads these approaches in the field, lies the interactionist notion of the social world, combined with the sociologies of mediation, attachment and taste. Para fazêlo, é preciso analisar primeiro o escrevente das páginas, já que, ao construir a imagem de quem produz o texto, projeta automaticamente a imagem de seu destinatário. A pesquisa será norteada pela semiótica francesa ou da Escola de Paris, focando os eixos da modalização e enunciação. Com a modalização, trabalharemos as modalidades intencionais e existenciais. Da enunciação, faremos uso dos conceitos de enunciador e de enunciatário, instâncias linguísticas que correspondem ao que a Retórica chama, respectivamente, de ethos e de pathos: imagens construídas ao longo do texto do destinador e do destinatário do enunciado. Dentre várias possibilidades e critérios de escolha do material a ser analisado, estabeleço como parâmetro de investigação os blogs mais acessados, pois neles estaria, em teoria, a representação da maioria desses leitores. Parto do pressuposto de que nos blogs mais visitados estaria a maioria dos blogueiros, e onde estivesse a maioria dos blogueiros estaria o retrato de sua constituição. Para chegar a um corpus que contivesse os blogs mais acessados do país, vali-me de duas metodologias, reunindo uma amostragem referente a todo o ano de 2006, ano-base sobre o qual se debruça o estudo. O primeiro método foi proceder a um levantamento dos blogs mais votados pelos próprios internautas. Das 41 listas colhidas ao longo do ano, dois blogs se destacavam, ambos do portal UOL: "Paz, amor e magia" e "EspalhaMerda". O estudo tem como objetos o Blog de Jamildo e o Blog do Magno Martins, ambos sediados na cidade do Recife, Pernambuco. A investigação adotou como principais referências teóricas a noção de esfera pública concebida por Jürgen Habermas, o estudo das potencialidades trazidas pela internet à prática do jornalismo e as implicações da apropriação dos blogs para exercício profissional do jornalismo. A metodologia, que une análises de cunho qualitativo e quantitativo, incluiu leituras de postagens dos dois blogs e categorização conforme categorias preestabelecidas, como a interatividade, a produção de conteúdo próprio e a relação com as fontes, além de entrevistas com os blogueiros. Os resultados nos mostram que, por um lado, velhas práticas jornalísticas ainda imperam no meio virtual, impedindo mudanças mais efetivas no jornalismo praticado na web, mas, por outro que já existem avanços na visão e postura dos jornalistas atuando em blogs sobre a importância do seu trabalho para o incentivo ao debate dos assuntos de interesse público contribuindo para a revitalização da esfera pública e de sociedades mais democráticas.

Abstract:
News credibility studies have been around since radio and television began competing with the newspaper industry for consumers' attention. However, at this time, the news industry is experiencing a shift in medium as the Internet is quickly becoming the predominant source by which many get their news. Due to the free and independent nature of the Internet and the rise of blogging as a source by which people get news and information, audience perception of what constitutes a credible source needed to be examined. This study took the dimensions of news credibility that have been set in previous studies and compared them against an individual's news blog use to see if there was any change in what was important in measuring credibility. Through these comparisons, the measure that was used in previous studies did not seem deep enough and did not produce the expected outcome. Barely touching on each dimension, this study calls for individual studies on each dimension that would provide a better look at how credibility is perceived by news blog users.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to explore the use of a blog in the classroom. This paper describes why the teacher created the blog and how the blog is used by teachers and pupils in and outside the classroom. The study also describes teachers’ thoughts regarding future use of the blog. Seven primary school teachers were interviewed and the material was analysed using a multimodal design theoretical perspective on learning (Selander &amp; Kress 2010). The conclusion of the study was that the teachers created and designed blogs to give parents, pupils, relatives and others an opportunity to have an insight into the pupils’ school day. The blog is used mostly by teachers and pupils’ school work is published on the blog. The pupils in some classes use the blog to write weekly journals, make films and interviews that are published. Several teachers mention that publishing school work on the blog improves the quality of the school work. It seems that pupils try harder when the school work is published on the blog. Some teachers mention pupils’ age and their ability to write when discussing pupils posting work on the blog. The blog is though a multimodal way to communicate. It seems that the blog has the ability to support both pupils’ writing development and their competencies in multimodal communication. Regarding future use of the blog the teachers have many ideas and all teachers agree that pupils will be given the opportunity to use the blog more in the future. The ideas of future use can be related to the idea of the blog as a virtual third space, a link between home and school. In this third space pupils are able to use knowledge from home when carrying out school tasks.   Since there are few studies regarding blogs in the classroom and especially regarding younger pupils, this study has given a wider perspective regarding the use of blogs in the classroom.

Cancer är ett hot mot personens hälsa och har en inverkan på livet, både kroppsligt och känslomässigt. Ju högre känsla av sammanhang desto lättare har kvinnorna att uppskatta livet som pågår runt omkring dem. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva unga kvinnors upplevelse av att leva med obotlig cancer. Metod: En kvalitativ empirisk innehållsanalys med deduktiv design har använts i studien. Fyra stycken bloggar analyserades. KASAM användes för att strukturera upp komponenterna begriplighet, hanterbarhet och meningsfullhet. Resultat: I studien framkom det att kvinnor som drabbats av obotlig cancer upplever begriplighet om vårdpersonal informerar och bemöter dem på ett adekvat, professionellt och lyhört sätt. Bloggarna användes som ett redskap för att hantera situationen. Även nära relationer och stöd ger en positiv upplevelse för hanterbarheten. Att umgås med familj och vänner upplevs som meningsfullt. Slutsats: Känsla av sammanhang är en individuell upplevelse. Beskrivningar av upplevelser kring känsla av sammanhang ger en ökad förståelse för hur vårdpersonal kan främja begriplighet, hanterbarhet och meningsfullhet i mötet med kvinnor som drabbats av obotlig cancer.<br>Summary Background: Cancer increases successively over the world. Women ́s experience of living with terminal cancer is described among other things as chaos and despair. Cancer is a threat to the person’s health and has an impact on its life, physiologically as well as mentally. The higher sense of coherence the easier the women has to appreciate the life that goes on around them. Purpose: The purpose was to describe young women’s experience of living with terminal cancer. Method: A qualitative empirical content analysis design with deductive approach has been used in this study. Four blogs were analysed. SOC was structured by the three components; comprehensibility, manageability and meaningfulness. Results: The study revealed that women who suffers from terminal cancer experience intelligibility if the nursing staff informs and responds adequate, professional and in a responsive manner. The blogs were used as a tool to manage the situation. Even close relationships and support provides a positive experience for manageability. Spending time with family and friends percieved meaningfulness. Conclusion: Sense of coherence is an individual experience. Descriptions of experiences around the sense of coherence provides a better understanding for what the nursing staff can promote comprehensibility, manageability and meaningfulness, in meeting with women suffering from terminal cancer.

<p>The aim of this paper is to describe the characteristics of the sport journalistic weblog. To achieve this we have used the following questions: Which themes are included in the sport journalistic weblog? How much text does the sport journalistic weblog content? How often is multimediality incorporated in the sport journalistic weblog? Which references occur in the sport journalistic weblog? How many hyperlinks occur in the sport journalistic weblog? How many of the hyperlinks is internal respective external? How often does the sport journalistic weblog offers possibilities to interaction between the journalist and the reader? How often does interaction between the journalist and the reader occur?</p><p>The theories we have used is both online publishing and Jan Schmidt’s analytical framework on blogs. Online publishing describes an important part in our paper, online journalism, which in turn describes three important definitions for this paper; hypertextuality, multimediality and interactivity. Jan Schmidt’s theory is central to understand the phenomena, and functions as a starting point in the analyze part. The method that we have used is a quantitative content analysis with a descriptive approach. This paper consists mostly of reliable sources, with only a few exceptions which we have constrained in our work. This means almost all sources are science material.</p><p>The conclusion of this paper is as follows:</p><p>The most appeared theme in the sport journalistic weblog is athlete, followed by the official fact theme, and from then on the private life theme. The general conclusion about the first question is that the most common theme is the athlete theme. Text is counted as words, and the sport journalistic weblog contents 177 words (related to its mean value). But note that the variation in words is quite large in different weblogs. Multimediality is almost exclusively excluded in the material, only pictures appear in some degree in the weblogs. The most common reference in the sport journalistic weblog is the journalist’s personal experience and references of complete or parts of quotes and interviews. 227 hyperlinks appeared in the sport journalistic weblog, where 215 was internal and 12 external. Another conclusion in this paper is that there’s always an opportunity for interaction between the journalist and the reader. Indeed this possibility creates chances of interaction, but its importance is quite insignificant because it’s not being used. It is, however, more regular with interaction from the reader than the journalist. Therefore we can conclude that the interaction is more like a one-way communication, rather than dialogical.</p>

Genom att undersöka de grammatiska strukturerna i fem inlägg av varje bloggerska och jämföra dem med varandra, vill vi utläsa ett eventuellt gemensamt bloggspråk. I vår bakgrund beskriver vi bloggens utveckling och dess roll i den svenska skolan. Forskning kring blogg, med särskild betoning på bloggspråk, är begränsad. Vår undersökning syftar till att vara en kvalitativ studie där vi har utgått från en stilanalys kompletterad med en variabelanalys. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten i vår uppsats är genreteori som åsyftar att genre påverkas, förändras och skapas i sociala situationer. I vår undersökning har vi valt att undersöka variabler inom ortografi och syntax. Utifrån blogginläggen har vi sett att det finns tydliga talspråkliga influenser i bloggerskornas skriftspråk. Vi anser att dessa tendenser med den fria användningen av interpunktion, det enkla skriftspråket och avvikandet från skriftspråksnormerna är de gemensamma dragen som utgör ett bloggspråk.<br>This paper aims to examine three young bloggers’ from Jönköping and their way of writing. By examining the grammatical structures in five blog posts by each blogger and comparing them with each other, we wish to detect a possible common blog language. In our background we describe the development of the blog and its role in the Swedish school. Research on blogs, with specific focus on blog language, is limited. Our survey has been carried put through a qualitative study based on style analysis with variable analysis as a supplement.  The theoretical premiss of our paper is genre theory that refers to that the genre is influenced, changed and created in social situations. In our survey we have chosen to examine variables in orthography and syntax. Based on the blog posts, we can see that there are clear influences from the spoken language in the bloggers’ written language. We believe that this trend with the liberal usage of punctuation, easy-to-read language and the negligence of written language norms are similarities that form a blog language.

Investigation about blogs as a new webjournalism category, making a case study from BLOG DO NOBLAT to discover if blogs can innovate daily journalism practice. We approached the blog under study through qualitative textual analysis, with documental analysis and an open and semi-structured individual interview with the journalist, observing Ricardo Noblats professional appropriation and exploration of blog potentials. We arrived to ten aspects of webjornalism present in the blog, according to three perspectives: a) relations among media; b) the relationship between blog and journalist/blogger and readers/internet users; c) blogs and what it means to be journalist or make journalism. We note that blogs can be a new webjournalism category that appear specifically in the internet: they have a new content organization standard that is completely different from the one adopted by other news media for decades. They allow a new journalist/blogger and readers/internet users relationship with a more constant dialogue and easier exchange between the agents in a communicative process. They can make journalists more receptive to his publics opinion. We also note that blogs give journalists more freedom from his boss and communication companies, maintaining his status like a reality intermediary for society

The aim of this study is to describe teenagers' experience of being diagnosed with cancer. A cancer diagnosis very dramaticaly changes the lives of a teenager and its relatives. Cancer is a loaded word that most people associate with death and the teenager and its relatives generally react with despair and anxiety towards. Adolescence is a very emotionally difficult period with many physical and psychological changes, and it is therefore particularly difficult to suffer from a serious illness like cancer during this period. The method used when conducting this study is qualitative content analysis of various blogs written by teenagers living with cancer and resulted in six categories. The result of this study shows that the analyzed teenagers have similar feelings and experiences, although they are described in various ways. Constant fear and living in uncertainty are considered to be particularly difficult. Teenagers who have cancer develope a different outlook on life and value small things differently. The teenagers included in this study have often felt alone in their situation and that no one understands them. Blogs have been used as a form of therapy where the teenagers can express their feelings. A nurse can inform and encourage patients to use blogs both in order to read about people in simular situations and also as a forum to express their own feelings.

Bakgrund: Endometrios är en kronisk gynekologisk sjukdom med okänd etiologi som drabbar 10 % av kvinnor i fertil ålder och som har en djupgående påverkan på samtliga delar av kvinnors välmående. Dessa kvinnor blir ofta misstrodda och avfärdade av vårdpersonal när de söker vård för sjukdomen och deras smärtproblematik anses vara ”normal”. Feminism kan användas som ett verktyg för att undersöka denna företeelse. Syfte: Att beskriva hur kvinnor med endometrios upplever mötet med vårdpersonal. Metod: En kvalitativ innehållsanalys gjordes av sex stycken bloggar skrivna av kvinnor med endometrios för att ta del av deras upplevelser och erfarenheter. Resultat: Totalt återfanns tre teman; att bli experten, det dynamiska mötet och det statiska mötet. Under dessa återfanns totalt fem subteman som återger olika aspekter av mötet mellan kvinnorna och vårdpersonalen. Slutsats: Den omfattande misstro kvinnor med endometrios upplever inom vården kan förklaras av den underordnade position kvinnor har i samhället. En konsekvens av detta blir att dessa kvinnor möts i gemenskaper och formar ett systraskap. Klinisk betydelse: Sjuksköterskor kommer ofta i kontakt med dessa kvinnor oavsett klinisk placering. Genom ökad kunskap om sjukdomen såväl som strukturella faktorer skapas möjligheter för att hjälpa denna patientgrupp få den vård de har rätt till.<br>Background: Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological disease with unknown aetiology which affects 10 % of fertile women and it has a profound effect on each part of women’s wellbeing. These women are often subjected to misbelief and dismission from healthcare personnel when they seek help for their pain related symptoms which are often considered “normal”. Feminism can be used as a tool to investigate these problematic issues. Aim: To investigate how women with endometriosis experience the encounter with healthcare personnel. Method: A qualitative content analysis based on six blogs was carried out with the intention to describe womens’ experiences. Result: A total of three themes were found; becoming the expert, the dynamic encounter and the static encounter. Related to these themes, a total of five subthemes were found that described different aspects of the encounter between the women and healthcare personnel. Conclusion: The widespread mistrust that women with endometriosis experience within the healthcare system can be explained by the subordinated position of women in society. This results in the gathering of women in communities as a type of sisterhood. Clinical implication: Nurses frequently come in contact with these women regardless of clinical placement. By improving their knowledge about the disease as well as structural factors, nurses are in position to help these patients receive the healthcare they are entitled to.

Bakgrund: Att genomgå behandlingar vid hematologisk cancer innebär en stor omställning i det dagliga livet. Symtom och biverkningar har en stor påverkan på kropp och själ. Hematologisk cancer innefattar olika typer av cancer: leukemi, lymfom och myelom. Den behandling som ges vid hematologisk cancer innefattar stamcellstransplantation, strålning och cellgifter. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av behandlingar vid hematologisk cancer. Metod: Datamaterialet analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Data insamlades genom sex bloggar. Resultat: Ur analysen av datamaterialet framträdde tre kategorier; den nya vardagen, en känslomässig berg- och dalbana samt ständigt rätta sig efter kroppens begränsningar med sju underkategorier. Konklusion: Denna studies resultat har bidragit med information som med fördel kan användas för att få en ökad förståelse av personer med hematologisk cancer. Denna kunskap kan hjälpa sjuksköterskor att ge en god, patientcentrerad vård och därmed öka patientens välbefinnande.<br>Background: To go through treatment against haematological cancer means a big change in the daily life. Symptoms and side effects makes a big impact on both body and soul. Haematological cancer includes, in this study, three different types of cancer: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The treatments given for haematological cancer involves stem cell transplant, radiation therapy and chemo therapy. Purpose: The purpose with this study was to describe patients’ experiences during treatments for haematological cancer. Method: The data was analyzed through a qualitative analysis of the context. Data were collected from six blogs. Result: Three categories emerged from the analysis; the new situation of the patients everyday life, the emotional rollercoaster and continuously comply with the body's limitations, with seven sub-categories. Conclusion: The result of this study has contributed with further knowledge about persons living with haematological cancer. This knowledge can help nurses give these patients a good, patient-centered care and raise their well-being.

Bakgrund: I Sverige beräknas över 4000 personer vara drabbade av Narkolepsi. Narkolepsi är en neurologisk kronisk sjukdom som innebär att den drabbade har störd reglering av sömn och vakenhet. Kärnsymtomen är dagtrötthet och kataplexiattacker. Kvantitativa studier har visat att symtomen av narkolepsi påverkar uppfattningen av livskvalitet negativt. Syfte: Att belysa vuxna personers upplevelser av livskvalité efter att ha drabbats av narkolepsi. Metod: Kvalitativ metod där bloggtexter analyseras med innehållsanalys. Resultat: I resultatet framkom två domäner. Domänen ”Möjliggörande av god livskvalité” presenterar en kategori; Strategier för att uppnå god livskvalitet och betydelsen av stöd från omgivningen. Domänen ”Begränsningar av livskvalité” presenterar tre kategorier; Symtom som skapar socialt handikapp, Allmänhetens okunskap och upplevelser av blandade känslor samt Att tvingas planera och prioritera för att orka med vardagen Slutsats: Narkolepsi påverkar upplevelsen av livskvalité negativt. Symtom som okontrollerbar sömnighet dagtid och kataplexier kan orsaka skam och rädsla att vistas i sociala sammanhang. Strategier för att minska symtom, ökad förståelse för de drabbades upplevelser av sjukdomen och stöd från omgivningen kan bidra till att hjälpa de som drabbas till en ökad livskvalité.

Cirka 800 unga vuxna i Sverige drabbas varje år, skelettumörer, maligna lymfom och leukemi är de allra vanligaste cancerformerna hos ungdomar idag. För många unga vuxna med cancer är det till hjälp att få dela med sig sina upplevelser via bloggar för att lättare kunna hantera sin sjukdom. Att ta del av sjukdomsbloggar kan även hjälpa vården gällande förståelse och bemötande av unga vuxna med cancer. Syfte: Att utifrån bloggar beskriva individers upplevelse av att ha cancer som ung vuxen, samt att beskriva vilken betydelse bloggen har för individerna. Metod: En empirisk kvalitativ studie med induktiv ansats. Datainsamling har skett via Google och 9 bloggar har inkluderats i studien. Data har analyserats genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Huvudresultat: Som ung vuxen med cancer uppstod det mycket känslor som de var tvungna att hantera. Informanterna beskrev dessa känslor som en berg och dalbana, ibland var det bra och ibland var det dåligt. Genom bloggandet fick informanterna ett stöd vilket hjälpte dem att hantera sin sjukdomsprocess. Denna studie visade att sjukdomen påverkade informanternas psykiska, sociala och existentiella välmående, upplevelsen mellan hälsa och ohälsa varierade. Informanterna berättade om stödet de fick genom sociala nätverket samt hur de upplevde vårdens bemötande. Slutsats: Unga vuxna med cancer (16-30 år) upplever sin sjukdom som en känslomässig berg och dalbana både på ett psykiskt, socialt och existentiellt plan. Individernas bloggar visade sig ha en stor betydelse under sjukdomsprocessen. För att unga vuxna med cancer ska kunna få bättre omvårdnad idag så är det av vikt att vårdpersonal får en holistisk bild av den drabbade för att den ska få uppleva hälsa och livskvalitet.<br>Background: Cancer is currently one of the most common diseases in Swedish society and is classified as a national disease. Approximately 800 young adults in Sweden are affected every year, bone tumors, malignant lymphoma and leukemia are the most common cancers in young people today. For many young adults with cancer, it is helpful to gain share their experiences through blogs to more easily manage their condition. Partaking of the disease blogs can also help healthcare current understanding and treatment of young adults with cancer. Aim: To describe individuals' blogs based on experience of having cancer as a young adult and to describe the significance of the blog for the individuals. Method: An empirical qualitative study with inductive approach. Data was collected through Google, and 9 blogs have been included in the study. Data were analyzed by qualitative content analysis. Main Results: As a young adult (16-30 years) with cancer arose a lot of feelings that they had to deal with. The informants described these feelings like a roller coaster, sometimes it was good and sometimes it was bad. Through blogging the informants felt support, which helped them to manage their disease process. This study showed that the disease affected the informants' psychological and existential well-being, the experience of health and illness varied. The informants told us about the support they felt they received through social network and how they experienced healthcare treatment. Conclusion: Young adults with cancer perceive their illness as an emotional roller coaster, from both a psychological, social and existential perspective. The individuals' blogs showed great importance in the disease process. For young adults with cancer to get a better care today, it is very important that the health professionals get a holistic view of the affected for them to experience health and quality of life.

Bakgrund: Att drabbas av stroke i unga år innebär en stor livsförändring. Försämrad livskvalitét, nedsatt välbefinnande och påverkade relationer är några konsekvenser av att insjukna. Många får dessutom bestående funktionsnedsättningar som påverkar vardagen, såväl i hemmet som på arbetet. En stroke innebär ett trauma som är svårt att hantera för de drabbade individerna, sjukdomen ses som något som bara drabbar äldre. Tidigare studier visar att professionellt stöd till unga individer som drabbas av stroke är begränsat. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva unga kvinnors upplevelser av livet efter att ha drabbats av stroke. Metod: Analysmetoden som användes var en kvalitativ innebördsanalys av narrativa texter från sex bloggar, skrivna på svenska av kvinnor i åldrarna 26-45 år, bosatta i Sverige. Resultat: Unga kvinnor som drabbats av stroke upplevde att livet efter insjuknandet bestod av ett ständigt sökande efter mening och sammanhang. De fick genomleva mycket oförståelse och kände skuld och skam över att inte längre passa in. Kvinnorna upplevde brist på professionellt stöd och fick därmed stödja sig på sina anhöriga. Slutsats: Unga kvinnor som drabbats av stroke är i behov av stöd och rehabilitering. Omvårdnaden behöver bli mer person- och familjecentrerad för att minska lidande hos kvinnor som lever med konsekvenserna av stroke.<br>Background: Suffering a stroke at a young age is life-changing. Reduced quality of life and well-being, and impact on relationships are some of the consequences following the disease. Some people get permanent disabilities that affects everyday life, both at home and at work. A stroke often means a trauma that is hard to handle for the individuals, and the disease is seen as something that only affects older people. Previous studies show that professional support to young individuals suffering a stroke is limited. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe young women's experiences of life after having suffered a stroke. Method: This study was made with a qualitative meaning analysis of narrative texts from six blogs, written in Swedish by women, age 26-45, living in Sweden. Results: Young women experienced life following a stroke as a constant search for meaning and coherence. They had lived through a lot of misunderstandings and they felt guilty and ashamed because they no longer fit in. The women experienced lack of professional support and therefore had to rely on their relatives for support. Conclusion: Young women who have suffered a stroke are in need of support and rehabilitation. Nursing care needs to be more person- and family centered to minimize suffering in women living with the consequences of stroke.

The study examines the interaction between the preschool and the children’s homes as well as if the use of a blog contributes to a greater insight for parents in the pedagogical activities.In the latest curriculum, there have been a point of monitoring, evaluation and development, which seems to be a goal in the curriculum that creates uncertainty among the profession, how to configure them. Therefore, we felt that pedagogical documentation would be interesting to investigate. To examine documentation from a current perspective arose blog as a tool.   The study is qualitative and interviews were conducted, as well as snippets of preschool blogs. Two preschool teachers and eight parents were interviewed at two separate municipal preschools in a municipality in Skaraborg. Both preschools conduct their own blogs.   The result showed that a blog is a tool that contributes the parents a greater insight into the preschools pedagogical activities. The blog can be a tool for the preschool teachers to follow, document, evaluate and evolve their pedagogical operation. The results also showed that both the teachers and the parents felt that the blog contributed to more verbal communication about what is happening in the preschool.   In the discussion, the study's methods are discussed and how interview as a method has affected the result of the study. We also debate the study's credibility and how analyzing the interview has provided a greater understanding of the blog as a tool. Then the results are discussed in parity to the literature of the study and our own reflections and expreriences. We also discuss how the use of blogs can be integrated in the preschools approaches and contribute to make parents more involved in the pedagogical activites.

Ferramentas de publicação e instrumentos de mídia social, os diários virtuais íntimos, blogs de conteúdo temático relacionado ao cotidiano, exploram as potencialidades imersivas e interativas das mídias digitais e compõem percursos de sentidos no labirinto hipertextual anunciando a problemática do descentramento do sujeito, do interdiscurso e da autoria. Partindo de uma perspectiva teórica e metodológica enunciativa e discursiva, percorrem-se as instâncias sintáticas, semânticas e pragmáticas da materialidade do enunciado para investigar as formas de emergência do sujeito no espaço e no tempo e explorar analiticamente fenômenos da contemporaneidade: as articulações identitárias e as formas de subjetivação, o processamento da memória e a relação entre o público e o privado no ciberespaço. Tal metodologia de análise do corpus confere uma visão do objeto não apenas como um componente dos dispositivos de comunicação multidirecionais, mas como uma ferramenta de articulação narrativa de si, marcada por um modo de enunciação específico, diferente daquele dos diários íntimos tradicionais uma vez que o contexto hipertextual altera as condições de produção do discurso. Dessa metodologia baseada na Teoria da Enunciação e na Análise do Discurso de linha francesa depreende-se não apenas os mecanismos lingüísticos de insurgência subjetiva mas também as formas de inserção do sujeito na ordem do discurso.<br>As publication and social media tools, blogs related to individual daily routine explore the immersive and interactive potential from the digital media composing meaning circuits in the hypertextual labyrinth by considering a interdiscourse point of view. From a theoretical and methodological discursive perspective, either syntactic, semantic and pragmatic textual plans are evaluated in order to investigate the ways in which the subject emerges within space and time and to explore analytically the identity and subjectivity articulation, the memory process and the connection between public and private in the cyberspace. This method of analysis provides the object with a prospect of not only a component of multi-directional communication devices but as a tool to articulate the self narrative, marked by a specific form of enunciation that differs from the traditional journal due to hypertextual context that changes the discourse production. This methodology is based on the Theory of Enunciation and in the French Discourse Analysis, both focused not only on the linguistic mechanisms of subjective insurgency but also on the ways of the subject insertion in the order of discourse.

Nos últimos anos, muitos blogs ganharam notoriedade e se tornaram referências em determinados nichos. Estes blogs atraem tanto a atenção do público assim como de empresas querendo desenvolver ações promocionais junto a esta audiência. Por outro lado, o desenvolvimento de serviços de publicidade online permitiu o surgimento de novos pequenos anunciantes, assim como novos pequenos veículos que dispostos a exibir anúncios. O objetivo deste trabalho é, portanto, compreender a profissionalização dos blogs brasileiros a partir de uma investigação sobre as dinâmicas promocionais na blogosfera. A pesquisa busca discutir a relação entre a cultura participativa (Jenkins, 2006b) da Internet, a virtualização da economia e o papel dos blogueiros neste contexto. Para tal, foi conduzido um estudo netnográfico que consistiu em: a) acompanhar os cem blogs brasileiros de maior autoridade do ranking do indexador Blogblogs, onde investigou-se a presença e o gerenciamento de publicidade e buscou-se outros indícios da profissionalização do meio; b) realizar uma observação participante no I Fórum de Mídias Digitais e Sociais FMDS e no BlogCamp Paraná.<br>In recent years, many blogs have gained notoriety and have become authorities in certain niches. These blogs attract both the attention of the public as well as companies aiming to develop promotional campaigns targeting blogs audience. Moreover, the development of online advertising services allows the emergence of new small advertisers, in addition to new small vehicles willing to display ads. Therefore, the objective of this study is to understand the professionalization of Brazilian blogs through an investigation of the promotional dynamics in the blogosphere. The research discusses the relationship between the participatory culture (Jenkins, 2006b) of the Internet, the virtualization of the economy and the role of bloggers in this context. In order to achieve this work's goals, a netnographic study was conducted and it consisted of: a) following the 100 most authoritative Brazilian blogs ranked in the Blogblogs index to investigate the presence and management of advertising and to find other evidences of the professionalization of the medium; b) conducting a participant observation in the I Digital and Social Media Forum (FMDS) and in the BlogCamp Paraná.

Användningen av ledningsbloggar som verktyg för   internkommunikation har ökat, samtidigt som forskning visar att högsta   ledningen i många organisationer ser brister i sin kommunikativa förmåga.   Kombinationen av ett begränsat forskningsunderlag kring fenomenet   ledningsblogg och betydelsen av ett kontinuerligt och framgångsrikt förbättringsarbete   ger denna uppsats sitt syfte: Att bidra med kunskapsutveckling kring hur högsta   ledningen kan stimulera en organisation mot en högre grad av ständiga   förbättringar genom att kommunicera internt via en blogg. En kvalitativ studie utfördes i form av en   fallstudie på en organisation där ständiga förbättringar ingår i strategin   och utgör en del av visionen och 2016 års mål. Intervjuer genomfördes med   chefer på lägsta nivå kring deras upplevelse av den befintliga ledningsbloggen.   Resultatet från intervjuerna analyserades mot befintlig teori samt existerande   blogginlägg. Analysen utgick från Koenig och Schlaegels (2014) sex teman som beskriver   hur bloggens designkarakteristika påverkar läsarens upplevelse:   Innehållsvärde, Underhållsvärde, Styrning/Förvaltning, Användbarhet,   Interaktion och Marknadsföringsbudskap. Baserat på dessa sex teman har två fiskbensdiagram   tagits fram positiva och negativa upplevelser redovisas. Dessa upplevelser kan   påverka attityden och därmed beteendet och på så sätt utgöra stimulans   respektive hinder i arbetet mot en högre grad av ständiga förbättringar. Resultatet visar att rätt använd kan en intern   ledningsblogg vara ett effektivt verktyg för att påverka organisationskulturen,   men det krävs kunskap om retorik för att inte riskera att bloggen blir mer av   ett hinder än ett verktyg som stimulerar. För att uppnå positiv påverkan behöver   mottagaren ges en upplevelse av såväl nytta, enkelhet som nöje och resultatet   visar också att genom att fokusera på mottagaren kan olika typer av   kommunikationsbarriärer övervinnas. Ett antal aspekter som bör prägla bloggen   för att stimulera till ständiga förbättringar har identifierats, och även ett   antal aspekter som kan utgöra hinder. Analytisk generalisering av dessa   slutsatser bidrar till kunskapsutveckling inom området. Denna uppsats har resulterat i bekräftelse av   tidigare forskning, konkreta användarråd samt förslag på vidare forskning för   att ytterligare reducera det gap som finns kring detta område.<br>The use of   management blogs as a tool for internal communication has increased, at the   same time research shows that top management in many organizations sees   shortcomings in their own communicative ability. The combination of limited research   about the phenomenon of management blogs and the importance of a continuous and   successful improvement work gives this study it´s purpose: To contribute with   knowledge about how top management can stimulate an organization towards a   higher degree of continuous improvements by communicating internal through a   blog. A qualitative   study was conducted as a case study in an organization where continuous improvements   are part of the strategy and forms part of the vision and the objectives of   2016. Interviews were   performed with managers at the lowest level regarding their experience of the   management blog in the organization. The results of the interviews were   analyzed against existing theory and blog posts. The analysis was based on Koenig   and Schlaegel's (2014) six themes describing how the blog's design   characteristics affect the reader's experience: Content Value, Maintenance   Value, Management / Management, Usability, Interaction and Marketing. Based on these   six themes, two fishbone diagrams have been produced that report positive and   negative experiences. These experiences can affect the attitude and hence   behavior and thus constitute the stimulus's respective barriers in the work   towards a higher degree of continuous improvement. The result shows   that properly used, an internal management blog can be an effective tool for influencing   organizational culture, but knowledge of rhetoric is required to avoid   risking blogging becoming more of a barrier than a tool that stimulates. To   achieve positive impact, the recipient needs experience of both usefulness,   simplicity and pleasure and the result also shows that by focusing on the   recipient, different types of communication barriers can be overcome. A   number of aspects that should characterize the blog to stimulate continuous improvements   have been identified, as well as a number of issues that may constitute obstacles.   Analytical generalization of these conclusions contributes to knowledge development   in the area. This study has   resulted in confirmation of previous research, concrete user advice and suggestions   for further research to further reduce the gap that exists around this area.<br><p>2017-06-28</p>

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att få en bättre förståelse för hur ett företags kriskommunikation kan se ut i förhållande till dagens kommunikationsteknologi. Med dagens kommunikationsteknologi menas i denna uppsats sociala medier och bloggar. För att uppnå syftet har en fallstudie gjorts för att undersöka ett företags kriskommunikation i sociala medier och bloggar. Fallstudien har gjorts på teknikföretaget Sony och deras kris från 2011 när deras nätverk hackades. Nätverket används av Sonys kunder för att spela tv-spel online samt för att köpa digitala varor och tjänster via Sonys tv-spelskonsoler. I samband med hackningen stals kunders personliga information samt misstänktes det att även kreditkortsinformation kan ha stulits. Sony anklagades för att ha undanhållit viktig information från deras kunder om vilken typ av personlig information var i riskzonen, samt att deras nätverk inte var tillräckligt säkert mot dataintrång. Fyra frågor ställdes för att uppnå syftet: 1. Vilket innehåll hade Sonys kommunikation i deras sociala mediekanaler och bloggar under krisen? 2. Vilka retoriska strategier (ethos, logos, pathos) använde sig Sony utav för att förmedla innehållet? 3. Hur förändrades Sonys kommunikationsstrategi under tiden för krisen? 4. Hur stämmer Sonys kommunikations innehåll under krisen överens med SCCT (Situational Crisis Communication Theory), samt allmän forskning inom kriskommunikation?   Det teoretiska ramverket för uppsatsen har delats in i två kategorier: teori och allmän forskning. Teorin har utgåtts från modeller för tvåvägskommunikation mellan organisationer och dess intressenter, Per Echeverris beskrivning av bemötandesanalys, samt SCCT som går ut på att placera organisationer och deras kriser i kategorier för att bättre kunna applicera en eller flera passande responsstrategier. Med allmän forskning menas i det här sammanhanget ett samlat ramverk av forskning inom kriskommunikation som har gjorts i samband med sociala medier och bloggars påverkan främst på kriskommunikation och även kommunikation generellt sett.   Metoderna som användes för uppsatsen har varit en kvantitativ innehållsanalys av Sonys innehåll i deras officiella blogg, Facebook- och Twitter-kanal under tidsramen 2011-04-20 – 2011-07-31, då krisen hade inträffat och Sony kommunicerade utåt till deras kunder genom dessa medier. Dessutom gjordes en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av utvalda delar från den kvantitativa innehållsanalysen, genom en retorisk analys för att studera innehållet närmare.   Resultaten från båda analyserna visade att Sonys kommunikationsstrategi kunde kategoriseras in i två olika grupper enligt SCCT; först tog Sony avstånd från det inträffade och senare antog företaget en fullständigt ursäktande hållning gentemot kunderna. Sony försökte inledningsvis porträttera sig själva som offret under krisen och fick rätta till desinformation och deras tvåvägskommunikation var mer asymmetrisk, men fick senare ta en mer tillmötesgående responsstrategi och be kunderna om ursäkt med hjälp av kompensationer och säkerhetsförbättringar. Tvåvägskommunikationen var senare mer symmetrisk. Resultatet visade även att Sonys användande av deras blogg var ypperligt under krisen, samtidigt som deras närvaro på Twitter var till större del väl anpassat till mediet med korta och frekventa uppdateringar om krisen till kunderna. Facebook användes inte lika effektivt av Sony, och användes endast till att sprida inläggen från bloggen.   I slutsats har undersökningen av Sonys kris gett en bättre förståelse för hur ett företag bör hantera sin kriskommunikation inom sociala medier och bloggar när det gäller vad man ska göra och bör undvika.<br>The purpose of this essay has been to get a better understanding of how a company can utilize today’s communication technology in their crisis communication. Today’s communication technology refers to blogs and social media. To accomplish this purpose a company’s external communication during a crisis has been studied. The crisis studied was Sony’s crisis in 2011 when their network got hacked. The network is used by consumers to play videogames online and purchase digital products and services using their videogame consoles. The hackers acquired the customers’ personal information and it was rumored at the time that information about credit cards had been stolen as well. Sony was accused of withholding important information from customers about what personal information was in danger, and the network’s security was questioned. Four questions were asked to help the essay in reaching its purpose. 1. What information did Sony’s communication in their social media and blogs contain during the crisis? 2. What rhetorical strategies (ethos, logos, pathos) did Sony use to convey the information? 3. How did Sony’s communication strategy change during the events of the crisis? 4. How does Sony’s communication during the crisis compare with SCCT (Situational Crisis Communication Theory) and research in general regarding crisis communication?   The essay’s theoretical framework has been divided into two categories: theory and research in general. The theories used to interpret the results have been James E. Grunig’s models of two-way communication between organizations and their stakeholders, Per Echeverri’s description of response analysis, as well as W. Timothy Coombs SCCT which aims to define a crisis as a crisis situation in order to find a proper response strategy. Research in general in this context refers to a collective framework of research regarding crisis communication in conjunction with social media and blogs influence on primarily crisis communication but also communication in general.   The methods used for the essay have been a quantitative content analysis of Sony’s content in their information on their blog, Facebook page and Twitter feed between 2011-04-20 and 2011-07-31 which was the time Sony communicated externally regarding the crisis. In addition, a qualitative content analysis was conducted on parts of the data from the quantitative analysis through a rhetorical analysis.       The results from the analyses showed that different response strategies could be identified, according to SCCT; at first, Sony distanced itself from the crisis but later had to use a full apology-strategy to address the situation. Sony initially tried to portrait themselves as victims and had to correct disinformation. Their two-way communication was at this time more asymmetrical. Later they used a more accommodating response strategy and apologized to their customers and compensated them in addition to improving the security to prevent a similar attack. Sony’s two-way communication was now more symmetrical. The results also showed that Sony’s use of their blog was exceptional and their Twitter usage was optimized for that medium with short and frequent updates regarding the crisis. Sony’s Facebook page was not used as effectively and was mostly used to spread the same information from the blog.   In conclusion: the examination of Sony’s crisis has given a better understanding of how a company should manage its crisis communication within social media and blogs, for better and worse.

När kvinnor i fertil ålder insjuknar i bröstcancer är det viktigt för vårdgivaren att försöka finna förståelse för det komplexa skede i livet hon befinner sig i. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva fertila kvinnors erfarenheter i mötet med sjukvården efter en bröstcancerdiagnos. Metod: En kvalitativ innehållsanalys har genomförts, baserad på sex bloggar. Den insamlade datan bestod av bloggar författade av fertila kvinnor med bröstcancer. Den huvudsakliga meningen med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys är att genom personliga texter erhålla medkänsla för en människas livsvärld. Resultat: Totalt hittades fyra kategorier; Integritet, Vill bli sedd, Bristande förtroende och Engagemang. Två av kategorierna delades in i subkategorier. Slutsats: Kvinnorna utmålade specifikt läkare gällande bemötanden som rörde en sårad integritet och känslan av att vara utlämnad. Alla kvinnorna ville ta del av ett möte som byggde på tillit och förtroende för vårdgivaren. Genom att vårdgivaren bekräftade kvinnan och visade förståelse för hennes upplevelser uppnåddes detta. Klinisk betydelse: Hur bröstcancer kan upplevas ur ett patientperspektiv är viktigt för vårdgivare att ta del av. Kunskap om kvinnornas erfarenheter kan fås genom bloggar vilket förhoppningsvis leder till ökad förståelse för vad patienten genomgår och förbättrad omvårdnad i framtiden.<br>Background: Breast cancer is currently the most common cancer among women in both Sweden and the rest of the world. When fertile women suffer from breast cancer, it is of utmost importance for the caregiver to seek understanding of the stage of life where she appears. Aim: This study aims to describe fertile women's experiences in the encounter with health care after a breast cancer diagnosis. Method: A qualitative content analysis based on six blogs. The collected data consisted of blogs written by reproductive women with breast cancer. The main purpose of a qualitative content analysis is to gain understanding of a person's inner thoughts and feelings through personal texts. Results: Four categories were found: Integrity, Want to be seen, Lack of trust and Commitment. Two of the categories were divided into subcategories. Conclusion: When the women described the negative aspects of the meeting with health care particularly doctors accounted for responses that were considered inadequate. All the women wanted to be a part of an encounter based on trust and faith in the caregiver. When the caregiver confirmed the woman and showed understanding of her experiences, this was achieved. Clinical significance: How breast cancer can be experienced from a patient perspective is important for caregivers to be aware of. The knowledge about their experiences, by using blogs, can hopefully lead to greater understanding of what the patient undergoes and hence an improved nursing in the future.

The 2006 Congressional elections included some of the closest elections in recent history. Party control was on the line in both houses of Congress. As a result, candidate message strategies were subject to intense scruntiny by media and voters alike since each election played a significant role in determining which party would control the Senate. This thesis employs a content analysis of ten candidate-controlled blogs from five 2006 U.S. Senate elections to evaluate candidate issues, incumbent and challenger strategies, and message tactics used by the candidate to reach a wide classification of voters. The entire population of posts from the ten candidate blogs (N = 474) was included in this analysis. The thesis assesses candidate blog strategies and candidate gender difference through the theoretical perspectives of the issue ownership framework, agenda setting, and incumbent and challenger strategies. Findings show little evidence of intercandidate agenda setting through blogs, general adherence to assumptions of the issue ownership framework, and offer foundations for future communication research focused on candidate blogs. Recommendations for future research include a more expansive study of all campaign blogs as well as an intermedia agenda setting study to measure systematically the influence of blogs on other media.<br>Master of Arts

Os blogs se definem como uma modalidade de publicação pessoal "on-line" onde o sujeito encena a si mesmo e ao seu cotidiano, dispondo-se constantemente ao outro e realizando-se na potencialidade de ser visto e de interagir. Apesar do desejo sempre enfatizado de se conquistar audiências cada vez mais amplas, a análise mostrou que a vida social no universo dos blogs ocorre nas densidades das redes, ali onde as relações se constroem e se mantém por vínculos de reciprocidade, pela troca diária de visitas, comentários e links. É no âmbito dessas "blogosferas" locais, onde os sujeitos se constroem na relação com o outro, que os blogs se constituem como uma experiência cotidiana e processual, que se desenvolve num movimento constante entre a harmonia e a desarmonia, entre o conflito e a sociabilidade.

När en människa upplever att helheten hotas uppstår ett lidande, unga vuxna som drabbas av allvarlig sjukdom kan uppleva traumatisk kris. Det är viktigt att i ett tidigt stadium fånga upp och stötta unga vuxna med en cancerdiagnos eftersom lidandet kan lindras under sjukdomsprocessen. Individer som får social och professionellt stöd orkar engagera sig i återhämtningsprocessen och kan uppnå bättre livskvalité. Syfte: Studiens syfte var att belysa unga vuxnas behov av stöd under behandling av cancersjukdom. Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ ansats och kvalitativ innehållsanalys användes för att analysera bloggarna. Datamaterialet bestod av fem svenska bloggar publicerade på ung cancers webbsida. Resultat: Unga vuxna med en cancersjukdom upplevde att socialt stöd var värdefullt under cancerbehandling. Individerna upplevde emotionellt, informativt, praktisk och bekräftande stöd från familj och närstående samt från individer i liknande situation. Det professionella stödet uppskattades när individerna betraktades som en helhet dock visades det vara negativt när det brast i kommunikationen mellan patient och vårdgivare. Slutsats: Unga vuxna som drabbades av en cancersjukdom hade behov av både socialt och professionellt stöd för att hantera sjukdomen.<br>Background: To develop cancer as an adolescent or young adult means a break in a critical stage of the life process, and can be a devastating experience for the patient. When an individual feels their current existence is threatened there is an immediate crisis, followed by traumatization and suffering. This seems to be especially true for young adults. It is important to catch and support the young adults at an early stage in their cancer diagnosis because this can lead to a relief throughout the disease process. Individuals who receive social and professional support are able to engage themselves in their recovery process, and can achieve a better quality of life. Objective: The aim of this study was to highlight young adults' needs for support during treatment of cancer. Method: The study has a qualitative approach and a qualitative content analysis was used to analyze the blogs. The data consisted of five Swedish blogs published on young cancers (Ung Cancer) website. Results: Young adults with cancer felt that social support was valuable during cancer treatment. The individuals experienced emotional, informative, practical and appraisal support from family and relatives, as well as from individuals in similar situations. The professional support was appreciated when the holistic perspective of the individuals were considered. However, the support was shown to be negative when communication failed between patient and caregiver. Conclusion: Young adults who suffered from cancer were in need of both social and professional support to handle the situation mentally.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att identifiera och beskriva upplevda behov hos unga vuxna med cancer. Metod: Studien använde en kvalitativ nätnografisk design med induktiv ansats. Studien analyserade åtta bloggar skrivna av unga vuxna med cancer. Resultat: Resultatet visade åtta behov som grupperades i fyra teman. Temana grundades på upplevelser som beskrevs i bloggarna, och var: Information, Meningsfullhet, Känslohantering och Bemötande. Slutsats: Denna studie identifierade åtta behov som fanns på de fyra nedersta stegen i motivationsteorin. Genom att hjälpa unga vuxna med cancer att uppfylla dessa behov kan hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal ge dem en möjlighet att uppnå självförverkligande för att unga vuxna med cancer ska kunna leva och inte bara överleva. Klinisk betydelse: Studien kan bidra till ökad förståelse för unga vuxna med cancers behov. Hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal kan, genom att hjälpa unga vuxna med cancer att uppfylla deras behov, ge unga vuxna med cancer möjlighet att uppnå självförverkligande. They feel that they don’t get the care they need. All people have, according to Maslow’s theory of human motivation, need that are hierarchically arranged and need to be met in order for the human to reach self-actualization. Aim: The aim of this study was to identify and describe the perceived needs of young adults with cancer. Method: This study used a qualitative netnographic design with an inductive approach. Eight blogs written by young adults with cancer were analyzed. Result: The result presented nine needs, which were arranged into four themes. The themes were based on experiences found in the blogs, and were: Information, Meaningfulness, Emotional management and Treatment. Conclusion: This study identified eight needs located on the four lower levels of the hierarchy of needs. By helping young adults with cancer to meet their needs healthcare personal may give them an opportunity to achieve self-actualization, so that young adults with cancer may live, and not only survive. Clinical significance: This study may contribute to an increased understanding of the needs of young adults with cancer. Caring personnel may, by helping young adults with cancer to meet their needs, provide them an opportunity to achieve self-actualization. This study may also contribute to an increased understanding of the experience of becoming ill.

Bakgrund: Cancer är idag en av de stora folksjukdomarna och den vanligaste dödsorsaken bland personer upp till 80 års ålder. Fler människor lever allt längre med diagnosticerad cancer men hälften av dem som drabbas blir inte botade. När bot inte längre är möjligt flyttas vårdens fokus till palliativ vård. Forskning visar att det finns stora brister inom den palliativa vård som bedrivs i Sverige. Patienter med obotlig cancer utgör en stor grupp i vården och deras upplevelser av bemötande i den palliativa vården är av stor vikt. Trots detta saknas kunskap om patienters upplevelse av bemötande inom den palliativa vården. Syfte: Studien syftar till att belysa hur patienter med obotlig cancer upplever bemötande i den palliativa vården. Metod: Studien grundar sig på en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med induktiv ansats. Data samlades in från fyra bloggar, skrivna av personer med obotlig cancer. Resultat: Bloggförfattarnas upplevelser av bemötande kunde kategoriseras utifrån positiva samt negativa upplevelser av bemötande; Lyhördhet och empati, Delaktighet, Vårdpersonalens kompetens, Maktmissbruk och Förlorat förtroende. Slutsats: När patienter med obotlig cancer bemöts med empati av lyhörd och kompetent personal som tillåter patienten vara delaktig i sin behandling skapas positiva känslor och ett minskat lidande för patienten. När vårdpersonal missbrukar sin makt genom undanhållande av information, nonchalant och/eller respektlöst bemötande skapas känslor av förlorat förtroende, vilket leder till ett vårdlidande för patienten, ett lidande som kunnat undvikas. Klinisk betydelse: Studiens resultat kan ge sjuksköterskor djupare förståelse för patienters upplevelse av bemötande inom den palliativa vården. Kunskapen kan användas för att förbättra kvalitén på bemötande inom denna vårdform.<br>Background: Cancer is today one of the big endemic diseases and the most common cause of death amongst people up to 80 years. More people live longer with diagnosed cancer. But half of them are not cured. When there is no possibility of curing the patient, focus will be on palliative care. Research shows that there are large deficiencies in the palliative care that is conducted in Sweden. Patients with incurable cancer represent a large group and their experiences of encounter within the palliative care are of great importance. Despite this there is a lack of knowledge regarding the patient’s experiences of encounter within the palliative care. Aim: The study aims to enlighten how patients with incurable cancer experience their encounter in the palliative care. Method: The study is based upon a qualitative content analysis with an inductive approach. Data has been collected from four blogs written by people with incurable cancer. Results: The blog author’s experiences of encounter could be categorized by positive and negative experiences of encounter: Responsiveness and empathy, Participation, the Competence of healthcare personnel, Abuse of power and Loss of confidence. Conclusion: When patients with incurable cancer were treated with empathic, responsive and competent personnel who allowed patients to participate in their encounter, positive experiences were thereby felt by the patients, thus reducing their feeling of suffering. When the patients perceived that healthcare personnel abused their power through withholding information, nonchalant and/or disrespectful encounter, it created loss of confidence, thus leading to an increased experience of suffering by the patients, a suffering that could have been avoided. Clinical significance: The result of the study can give nurses a deeper understanding of a patients experience of encounter within the palliative care. The knowledge can be used to improve the quality of encounter within this type of care.

Il est également connu par de nombreux autres termes comme trouver l'opinion, la détection d'opinion, l'analyse des sentiments, la classification sentiment, de détection de polarité, etc. Définition dans le contexte plus spécifique et plus simple, fouille des opinion est la tâche de récupération des opinions contre son besoin aussi exprimé par l'utilisateur sous la forme d'une requête. Il y a de nombreux problèmes et défis liés à l'activité fouille des opinion. Dans cette thèse, nous nous concentrons sur quelques problèmes d'analyse d'opinion. L'un des défis majeurs de fouille des opinion est de trouver des opinions concernant spécifiquement le sujet donné (requête). Un document peut contenir des informations sur de nombreux sujets à la fois et il est possible qu'elle contienne opiniâtre texte sur chacun des sujet ou sur seulement quelques-uns. Par conséquent, il devient très important de choisir les segments du document pertinentes à sujet avec leurs opinions correspondantes. Nous abordons ce problème sur deux niveaux de granularité, des phrases et des passages. Dans notre première approche de niveau de phrase, nous utilisons des relations sémantiques de WordNet pour trouver cette association entre sujet et opinion. Dans notre deuxième approche pour le niveau de passage, nous utilisons plus robuste modèle de RI i. E. La language modèle de se concentrer sur ce problème. L'idée de base derrière les deux contributions pour l'association d'opinion-sujet est que si un document contient plus segments textuels (phrases ou passages) opiniâtre et pertinentes à sujet, il est plus opiniâtre qu'un document avec moins segments textuels opiniâtre et pertinentes. La plupart des approches d'apprentissage-machine basée à fouille des opinion sont dépendants du domaine i. E. Leurs performances varient d'un domaine à d'autre. D'autre part, une approche indépendant de domaine ou un sujet est plus généralisée et peut maintenir son efficacité dans différents domaines. Cependant, les approches indépendant de domaine souffrent de mauvaises performances en général. C'est un grand défi dans le domaine de fouille des opinion à développer une approche qui est plus efficace et généralisé. Nos contributions de cette thèse incluent le développement d'une approche qui utilise de simples fonctions heuristiques pour trouver des documents opiniâtre. Fouille des opinion basée entité devient très populaire parmi les chercheurs de la communauté IR. Il vise à identifier les entités pertinentes pour un sujet donné et d'en extraire les opinions qui leur sont associées à partir d'un ensemble de documents textuels. Toutefois, l'identification et la détermination de la pertinence des entités est déjà une tâche difficile. Nous proposons un système qui prend en compte à la fois l'information de l'article de nouvelles en cours ainsi que des articles antérieurs pertinents afin de détecter les entités les plus importantes dans les nouvelles actuelles. En plus de cela, nous présentons également notre cadre d'analyse d'opinion et tâches relieés. Ce cadre est basée sur les évidences contents et les évidences sociales de la blogosphère pour les tâches de trouver des opinions, de prévision et d'avis de classement multidimensionnel. Cette contribution d'prématurée pose les bases pour nos travaux futurs. L'évaluation de nos méthodes comprennent l'utilisation de TREC 2006 Blog collection et de TREC Novelty track 2004 collection. Bakgrund: De senaste tjugo åren har förekomsten av fetma fördubblats i världen och räknas därför till en global epidemi och är ett stort folkhälsoproblem. I samband med detta har även det kirurgiska ingreppet gastric bypass blivit allt vanligare. Det är därför viktigt att sjuksköterskor och personer som överväger denna operation får en ökad förståelse och kunskap om hur patienter som genomgått operationen upplever livet efter. Syfte: syftet med denna studie var att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser efter en gastric bypass operation. Metod: I studien användes kvalitativ ansats för att studera bloggar skrivna av kvinnor som genomgått en gastric bypass operation. Fjorton Bloggar analyserades. Resultat/ Diskussion: Resultatet visar att kvinnorna får en bättre livskvalité då de har lättare att röra på sig och inte längre upplever obehag när de deltar i sociala sammanhang. Dock finns en baksida med operationen, de har svårt att ställa om till den nya livsstilen som är ett måste för att undvika komplikationer. Många av kvinnorna upplever också identitetskriser. Slutsats: Det är av stor vikt att patienter som genomgår gastric bypass operation får hjälp med förhållningssätt och information kring kosthållning för att kunna få en hälsosam och bestående viktminskning och livsstil. Vidare forskning om hur kvinnorna mår psykiskt innan respektive efter operationen behöver göras då fler människor väljer denna viktminskningsmetod.<br>Background: The worldwide prevalence of obesity has doubled in the last twenty years and is therefore classified as a global epidemic and is therefore a major health problem. This has initiated the gastric bypass surgery to increase. It is therefore important that nurses and people considering this operation have a better understanding and knowledge the life after the surgery. Objective: The aim of this study was to describe women's experiences after a gastric bypass surgery. Method: This study used qualitative method to study the blogs written by women who have gone through gastric bypass surgery. It contains 14 analysed blogs. Results/ Discussion: The result shows that women have a better quality of life when it´s easier for them to move around and don’t feel the discomfort when they are participating in social activities. However, there is a downside to the surgery. They find it difficult to adjust to the new lifestyle, in order to avoid the complications. Some of these women are also experiencing identity crisis. Conclusion: It is therefore significant for patients who have gone through gastric bypass surgery to get the support they need with attitudes and information about diet to have a healthy and permanent weight loss and lifestyle. Further research on how women experience the psychological health before and after the surgery needs to be done since obesity is increasing and more people are choosing this method for weight loss.

Borderline påverkar personens livsvärld och hens upplevelse av sin hälsa. Det finns en märkbara ökning av denna patientgrupp i olika vårdsammanhang. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva personers upplevelser av att leva med borderline. Metod: En kvalitativ innehållsanalys med induktiv ansats. Data insamlades genom sex bloggar. Resultat: Ur analysen av datamaterialet framträdde fyra kategorier; Vara annorlunda, ett inre kaos, Annorlunda samspel med andra, Känslor som svämmar över och Målinriktad vändning i livet med nio underkategorier. Konklusion: Denna studie har bidragit med mer kunskap om personers upplevelser av att leva med borderline. Personer med borderline upplever starka känslor som påverkar deras liv, samspelen med andra människor påverkas till det negativa. Dessa personer är behov av stöd, både från närstående och professionell vårdpersonal för att få den hjälp som behövs för att kunna få förhoppningar om en framtid.<br>Background: Living with a diagnosis like borderline can make everyday life problematic and contribute to less well-being for these people. Borderline affects the individual's lifeworld and his or her's health experience.There is a noticeable increase in this patient group in various healthcare contexts. Aim: The aim of the study was to describe women's experiences of living with borderline. Method: A qualitative content analysis with inductive approach. Data were collected from six blogs. Results: From the analysis of the data emerged four categories; Be different, an inner chaos, Different interactions with others, Feelings that swim over and Targeted turn in life with nine subcategories. Conclusion: This study has contributed more knowledge about people's experiences of living with borderline. People with borderline experience strong feelings that affect their lives, interaction with other people is affected by the negative. These people need support from both related and professional healthcare professionals to get the help needed for future hopes.

Diabetes typ-1 kan utvecklas i alla åldrar men bryter vanligen ut under barn- och ungdomsåren. Att leva med sjukdomen innebär även att individen ansvarar för sin egenvård. Syftet: Syftet med studien var att beskriva unga vuxnas upplevelser av att leva med diabetes typ-1 utifrån Orem’s egenvårdsteori. Metod: Denna studie är en kvalitativ studie med en deduktiv ansats. Studien är baserad på tre bloggar. I denna studie användes Orem’s egenvårdsteori. Resultat: Gemenskapen med familj och andra diabetiker upplevs vara ett stort stöd och kan fungera som en hjälp i egenvården. Egenvården kan vara svår att lyckas med och ibland upplevs planering och struktur vara förgäves. Det upplevs som viktigt att inte låta sjukdomen begränsa det sociala livet. Det finns en stor okunskap i samhället om diabetes typ-1 vilket leder till otrygghet och brist på förtroende. Individerna med diabetes typ-1 upplever ensamhet trots en omgivning av stöttande personer. Slutsats: En förståelse för upplevelsen av att leva med diabetes typ-1 är viktig för sjuksköterskan. Förståelsen kan minska konflikter mellan sjuksköterskan och patienten samt förbättra förutsättningarna för en god egenvård.<br>Summary Background: Diabetes type-1 is an autoimmune disease and one of the most common chronic diseases in Sweden. Diabetes type-1 can be developed at any age, but usually appears during childhood and adolescence. Living with the disease implicates being responsible for their self-care. Aim: The aim of the study was to describe the young adult’s experiences of living with diabetes type-1, based on Orem’s self-care deficit nursing theory. Method: This study is a qualitative study with deductive approach. The study is based on three blogs. Orem’s self-care deficit nursing theory was used in this study. Results: The relationship with family and other diabetics are perceived to be a great support and can serve as an aid in self-care. Self-care can be difficult to achieve and sometimes they can experience that planning and structure be in vain. According to the individuals, it is important not to let the disease limit the social life. There is a major ignorance of diabetes type-1 in the society which leads to insecurity and lack of trust. Despite an environment of supportive people, individuals with diabetes type-1 can experience loneliness. Conclusion: An insight of young adult’s experiences of living with diabetes type-1 is important for the nurse because of the ability to reduce conflicts between nurse and patient and thereby improve conditions for a successful self-care.

De frågeställningar studien utgick ifrån var hur Kenza Zouiten väljer att framställa sig själv som person i skriven text och i bilder, samt huruvida det finns några skillnader i hur hon väljer att framställa sig själv i bloggen idag jämfört med i bloggens början. Metoden som tillämpades var en kvalitativ innehållsanalys bestående av en retorisk textanalys och en semiotisk bildanalys – med ett övergripande hermeneutiskt perspektiv. Resultatet visade att Kenza ända från början har haft en väldigt ödmjuk och vänlig ton i bloggen. Hon framställs i skriven text som ärlig, ödmjuk, trovärdig och passionerad, och framstår som en ganska ”vanlig” och normal tjej med ett liv som vem som helst. Hon har aldrig använt sig av bloggen för att provocera eller bråka, utan skriver snarare väldigt ”snälla” inlägg och tackar ofta sina bloggläsare för sin framgång. Hon framstår som väldigt transparent, autentisk och trovärdig i sin kommunikation, man får ett förtroende för henne som bloggare och litar på det hon skriver. I bilder, däremot, får man en lite annorlunda känsla jämfört med när man läser den skrivna texten. Bilderna hon publicerar framstår ofta som exklusiva och professionella, och vittnar om ett ”drömliv” fyllt av vackra och dyra klädesplagg, exotiska resmål och prestigefyllda modellfotograferingar. Det framkom alltså att det finns en motsättning i hur Kenza framställer sig via skriven text och via bilder. Detta kan vara en av de saker som fascinerar läsarna; att någon som verkar leva ett så lyxigt ”drömliv” ändå kan verka så ”vanlig” och oförändrad. Studien visade också på en utveckling i hur Kenza valt att framställa sig själv över tid. I början av bloggandet framstod hon som en vanlig tonåring som bloggade för att det var roligt att skriva dagbok, medan hon nuförtiden sköter bloggen mer som en marknadsföringskanal för sitt personliga varumärke. Hon visar inte upp lika mycket av sin privata sida varken i text eller bilder längre; hon framstår fortfarande som personlig, men inte lika privat. Numera framstår hon snarare som väldigt professionell i sitt bloggande. Slutsatsen är att man genom att utstråla en konsekvent trovärdighet, en autenticitet, passion och ödmjukhet kan bygga upp ett starkt personligt varumärke via en blogg. Detta tillsammans med ett utbud av vackra bilder som speglar en eftersträvansvärd livsstil verkar vara ett vinnande koncept. Även motsättningar mellan skriven text och bilder kan vara en bidragande faktor till hur man framgångsrikt skapar ett personligt varumärke genom att blogga.<br>Abstract This is a case study of one of Sweden's most well known and successful bloggers Kenza Zouiten. The purpose of the study was to find out whether you through self presentation via a blog can create and build up a strong personal brand. The research questions the study proceeded from were: How does Kenza Zouiten choose to present herself as a person in written text and in pictures? Are there any differences in how she chooses to present herself in her blog today, compared to when she first started blogging? If so: what are they? The method used was a qualitative content analysis consisting of a rhetorical textual analysis and a semiotic picture analysis – with an overriding hermneutic perspective. The results showed that Kenza, from the beginning, has had a very humble and friendly tone in the blog. In written text she is portayed as honest, humble, trusthworthy and passionate, and comes across as a pretty ”normal” girl with a normal life. She has never used the blog to provoke or pick fights, instead she writes very kind-hearted posts and often thanks her blog readers for her success. She appears to be very transparent, autentic och believeable through the way she communicates through her blog. When it comes to how she presents herself in pictures, however, you get a different feeling than from reading the written text. The pictures she publishes often appear as very exclusive and professional. They testify to some sort of ”dream life” filled with beautiful and expensive clothes, exotic trips and vacations and prestigeous fashion shoots. Thus, a divergence between how Kenza portrays herself through written text and how she portrays herself in pictures emerged. This might be one of the things that fascinate the readers; that someone who appears, or seems, to be living such a luxurious ”dream life” can appear so ”normal” at the same time. The study also showed a change in how Kenza has chosen to portray herself through time. When she first started blogging she seemed like a regular teenage girl who liked using the blog as a journal, nowadays she runs the blog more like a marketing tool for self promotion of her personal brand. She does not show as much of her private side, neither through written text or pictures, anymore. She does still come across as personal, but not as private as she once did. Nowadays she appears much more as a professional blogger. The conclusion is that by showing a consistent trustworthyness, autenticity, passion and humbleness, you can build up a strong personal brand via a blog. This, together with a range of beautiful pictures that reflect a desired lifestyle appears to be a winning concept. Divergencies between written text and pictures might also be a contributory factor when it comes to succesfully building a personal brand via blogging.

Abstract:
Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur ”kvinnan” framställs och skapas på mode- och livsstillsbloggar. Detta har jag undersökt ur ett ”göra kön” perspektiv samt att jag använt mig av Goffmans teorier kring identitetsvärden och stigma. Jag har använt mig av ett eklektiskt förhållningssätt till valet av metod och har därför använt mig av olika metoder där meningskodning av text och symbolisktolkning av bilder varit de mest framträdande. Dessa koder har jag skapat utifrån min teoretiska referensram.     Det jag kom fram till i min analys var att kön göra på mode- och livsstilsbloggar på en könskategoriserande nivå såväl som på en genus nivå. Detta görande förekommer i olika former där kroppens utseende, dess utsmyckning samt individers beteenden och åsikter är av central betydelse. Identitetsvärden och stigman är två fenomen som är påtagliga på denna form av bloggar. Dessa två fenomen förekommer i relation till både könskategorisering samt genus.<br>The purpose of this study was to investigate how the “woman” is depicted and created on fashion and lifestyle blogs. I have done this from a “doing gender” perspective. I have also used Goffman’s theories of identity values and stigma.     I been working with an eclectic approach to the choice of method and I have therefore been using different methods in which content coding on text and symbolic interpretation of images has been the most prominent. These codes were created based on my theoretical framework.     The result of my analysis is that gender is done on fashion and lifestyle blogs relative to the two categories, sex categorization as well as gender. This doing appears in different forms in which the body´s appearance, its decoration and individuals´ behavior and opinions are of central importance. Identity values and stigma are two phenomena that are manifest on this kind of blogs. These two phenomena occur in relation to both sex categorization and gender.

Abstract:
Fetma ökar världen över och likaså gör antalet gastric bypass- operationer. Syftet med en gastric bypass- operation är att åstadkomma en viktminskning genom en förminskning av magsäcken, vilket resulterar i minskad hungerkänsla och reducerat matintag. Ett centralt mål inom överviktskirurgi är en ökad livskvalité. Det är därför betydelsefullt att se behandlingen som en helhet och att inte iaktta viktminskning som den enda betydande faktorn. Syftet i denna studie var att beskriva hur personer som genomgår en gastric bypass-operation hanterar situationen före och efter operationen. Studien är induktiv och utgår ifrån en kvalitativ ansats och baseras på en manifest analys utifrån textens innehåll ur sex bloggar skrivna av personer som genomgått en gastric bypass-operation. Analysen gjordes utifrån Fribergs femstegsmodell. Tre huvudkategorier och sex underkategorier framkom. Huvudkategorierna består av: (1)Mental förberedelse, (2) Ansvarstagande och (3) Att släppa på kontrollen och ta emot hjälp. Mental förberedelse beskriver hur deltagarna söker och använder information om operationen och om en inre dialog som personerna förde med sig själva. Vidare skildrar Att släppa på kontrollen och ta emot hjälp hur personerna nyttjade personer i sin omgivning för en stödjande funktion. Här beskrivs också att personerna fick en insikt om att de hade få möjligheter att påverka situationen och därför var tvungna att acceptera den som den var. Ansvarstagande skildrar vad inspiration och motivation hade för positiv inverkan hos individerna till att nå sina mål samt hur de gick tillväga för att kontrollera och planera vardagen utifrån sina nya förutsättningar.<br>Obesity in the world is increasing and likewise the amount of gastric bypass surgery. The purpose of the surgery is to accomplish a weightloss by reducing the size of the stomach, which results in reduced hunger and intake of food. A central goal of obesity surgery is an increased quality of life. Therefore, it is important to see the treatment as a whole and not observe the weightloss as the only significant factor. The aim of this study was to describe the strategies of actions that have been used by patients who have experienced a gastric bypass- operation. The structure of this study is inductive and is in line with a qualitative methodology and based upon a manifested analysis of the content of six different blogs written by six individuals who have experienced a gastric bypass- operation. The analysis has been done based upon Friberg’s five step model. During the analytical process, nine categories emerged of which three main- categories are divided in (1) Mental preparation, Responsibility and (3) To let go of control and receive help. Mental preparation concerns the operation and the furthermore the use of this information as well as the process of the patient’s internal dialogue. To let go of control and accept help includes how the patients utilized internal dialogue. To let go of control and accept help includes how the patients utilized people in their surroundings to create a supporting network during the process of the operation. Furthermore, this part describes the emerging of an understanding of the fact that they were very limited in affecting the process in question and consequently had to accept the situation as it was. Responsibility describes how inspiration and motivation influenced the individuals positively to reach their personal goals and furthermore how they managed to outline and organize their everyday life in accordance with the new conditions that had appeared as a result of the process surrounding a gastric bypass- operation.
