When taking a shower or bath, we use a body wash, which is a particular liquid. Keeping oneself clean is the practice of personal hygiene. All types of ailments can arise from inadequate personal hygiene maintenance. It is anticipated that multipurpose herbal wash will prove to be more cost-effective than traditional goods because the consumer may obtain the intended result. Formulated herbal wash preparations were assessed for chemical and physical characteristics, including pH, surface tension, viscosity, percent of solids contents, dirt dispersion, cleaning action, foaming ability and foam

It is common to learn about natural body care and bathing rituals through end-of-life doula training. At the time of my training in 2020/2021, I hadn’t washed a dead body yet, so I practiced what I was learning on my partner and later described the event in “How to Wash a Body.” The literary examples I’ve come across so far that recount this act of care often describe the uncanny aspects of encountering the loved one’s body becoming corpse. Abstract Body wash cosmetics are among the most common groups of cosmetics used by consumers. Faced with strong competition in the marketplace, cosmetic manufacturers search for innovative solutions both in terms of product composition and form. An example of an innovative technology which can be used in the production of body wash cosmetics is the process of coacervation which yields a concentrated body wash product. Another important aspect which needs to be considered in the formulation of body wash cosmetics is their safety of use. It is crucial to ensure that such cosmetic products do not

Abstract:
Foreign body in the bronchus is usually aspirated, ingested or deposited. Entry of a bronchial foreign body through the neck via a rent in the trachea is rare. A freak accident occurred when our 58 year old patient was overseeing crane operation at 4- a steel plant and a metallic foreign body pierced the patient’s trachea and was lodged in his right bronchus intermedius. Metallic body was removed using a snare via a flexible bronchoscope. A morbid open thoracic surgery was avoided by a timely procedure. Our case highlights that foreign body in the lungs can also enter via open penetrating woun

Since 2014, a team of scientists from the Raincoast Conservation Foundation (2022-2024), Ocean Wise Conservation Association (2014-2022), NOAA (2014-2017) and SR3 (2017) have collected aerial photographs of Northern Resident killer whales (NRKW) in the waters around northeastern Vancouver Island annually (August-September) in order to monitor body condition. In 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024, additional field work was conducted on the Central Coast of British Columbia in June and/or July. Body condition was assessed from aerial photographs by calculating ‘eye patch ratios’ (Fearnbach et al. 2019),

To enable risk characterization of perfluorooctane sulfonic acid in extended chronic and multi-generational exposures, we assessed PFOS bioconcentration in zebrafish exposed continuously to environmentally-relevant PFOS concentrations through 180 days postfertilization in parental and first filial generation fish. Exposures included five replicate tanks per treatment where whole-body PFOS concentrations were measured. Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid accumulation reached an apparent steady state at ≤ 14 dpf where whole-body wet-weight concentrations remained constant through 180 dpf in the P and

Wind energy can be harnessed for various commercial and transportation-related applications. This study assessed experimentally the potential of capturing wind energy from the passage of vehicles for electric power generation. Both wind tunnel experiments and field tests were performed. The wind tunnel experiments were performed in an open-circuit low-speed wind tunnel at a free-stream mean velocity of 23 m/s. Five PVC pipes placed adjacent to the wind-blowing domain were used to simulate the columns under a freeway overpass. A scaled Ahmad body (simplified car body model) was used as the vehi

Abstract:
The effects of short term heat exposure on the changes of body fluid and renal function were studied in four heifer buffaloes weighing between 174-207 kg. The animals were individually exposed to the sun up to 8 h each day over period of ten days (nonshaded period). Before this, they were kept in normal ambient temperature (control period). Each animal was fed same diet throughout experimental periods. In short term heat exposure, nonshaded buffaloes increased body water turnover rate while the marked decreases in total body water and blood volume were noted. On the first five days, there was

Background. Epidemiological studies have shown inconsistent findings regarding the effect of dietary digestible carbohydrate intake on the risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes (T2D). Synthesis of such evidence is important for determining the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI) for carbohydrates, which can have consequences on incidence and morbidity of chronic conditions. Methods. Two systematic reviews were conducted, one addressing cardiovascular outcomes and the second addressing incidence of T2D, body weight, and composition.
