The enrichment of the protected Borovoe Lake with nutrients has taken place within the last 100 years, from the moment the first resort was formed on its shores. The purpose of this study was to assess the current ecological state of Borovoe based on the structure of zooplankton. According to the chemical data, in the summer of 2019, the content of nutrients in the water was, relatively, not high; the content of heavy metals was very low. Twenty-seven species were found in zooplankton. The average abundance of zooplankton was 988.8 thousand ind./m3 with a biomass of 1.52 g/m3. Rotifera dominat

The Burabay National Natural Park unites six lakes located among the steppe landscape, with Lake Borovoe being the most visited among them. The phytoplankton of the protected Lake Borovoe was examined in the summer season of 2019, at eight stations, which were defined for the first time as the monitoring sites on the lake surface. Altogether, 72 algae and cyanobacteria species from seven taxonomic phyla were found in the Lake Borovoe phytoplankton during the study period. The most species-rich were three phyla: diatoms, green algae, and cyanobacteria. The average phytoplankton abundance was 30

The genetic diversity of 5 cenopopulations of the rare plant species Pulsatilla patens (L.) Mill, located on the territories of Pavlodar, Akmola and Kostanay regions, Kazakhstan Republic, was studied. Intermicrosatellite DNA analysis (ISSR — Inter Simple Sequence Repeats) was used to determine the indicators of genetic diversity. Polymerase chain reaction with 5 primers: ISSR-1, ISSR-3, M1, M27, X11 was performed. The number of polymorphic DNA fragments in the total plant samples ranged from 9 to 28. Fragment’s size ranged from 200 to 1420 bp. The percentage of polymorphic loci in the total sa

The authors consider speech characterization as a selection of words, expressions and turns of speech, acting as a means of artistic representation of actors. The functions that perform the speech features of the character are discussed in the work. The authors analyze the ways of translating the speech characteristics of the characters of D. Mitchell’s work Black Swan Green into Russian, comparing two existing translations by T. Borovikova and A. Polyarinov.
