Abstract:
The Bosnian Pyramid project, launched in 2005 in Visoko, faced relentless opposition from mainstream academic institutions, national media, and cultural gatekeepers. Decried as pseudoarchaeology and dismissed without investigation, the project nevertheless gave rise to a new model of heritage-based economic development: archaeological tourism driven by vision, perseverance, and grassroots support. Over two decades, the Bosnian Pyramids attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors, revitalized a stagnant local economy, created employment opportunities, and reshaped the global perception of Bosnia’s cultural assets. This article documents the economic trajectory of the project, analyzes institutional resistance, and demonstrates how sustained enthusiasm from tourists and volunteers became a decisive force in overcoming systemic barriers. The Bosnian Pyramids serve as a case study in how non-institutional initiatives can succeed through alternative models of development and engagement. Statistical modeling using Monte Carlo simulations underscores the improbability of this success, revealing a survival chance of just 11.5% under standard academic or commercial leadership scenarios.

Abstract:
The Bosnian town of Visoko has in recent years become a New Age pilgrimage site. Several formations in the landscape have been branded as ancient pyramids and tunnels. These purported monuments from bygone times are administrated by a private foundation led by the Bosnian American entrepreneur Semir Osmanagić. His claim is that the structures at Visoko were built tens of thousands of years ago by an advanced civilization that mastered a technology that enabled the concentration of healing energies. This controversial assertion is supported by invoking the supposed scientific proofs for the existence of these energies and by prominently displaying various legitimizing visual and material props. The prospect of coming into contact with the mysterious powers emanating from the site attracts numerous visitors and has led to the commodification of the pyramid and tunnel complex.

Abstract:
The Bosnian Pyramid project in Visoko, Bosnia-Herzegovina, stands at the intersection of scientific exploration and political resistance. Despite the accumulation of peer-reviewed studies, independent expert visits, and robust archaeological and environmental data, the project has encountered systematic rejection from members of the cultural and academic establishment many of whom have never visited the site. This article investigates the phenomenon of politicized archaeology, where institutional loyalty, ideological orthodoxy, and cultural gatekeeping override empirical inquiry. Through documented examples and statistical modeling, including Monte Carlo simulations, we examine the improbability that such sustained expert support could occur by chance. Furthermore, we contrast the transparent, field-based research efforts of supporters with the unsubstantiated public discreditation campaigns waged by opponents. By exploring the political, media, and academic dynamics surrounding the case, this study contributes to broader discussions on intellectual pluralism, heritage governance, and the consequences of narrative monopolies in cultural policy.

Abstract:
Serbia is a country rich in geoheritage with eighty geomorphological sites now under protection. Although a canyon, the site of Devil’s Town is a unique geomorphological site in Serbia and deserves special attention. The geotouristic values of Devil’s Town were assessed based on the analysis of its present state and comparison with three similar and nearby geosites on the Balkan Pennisula (the Sand Pyramids in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Stob and Melnik Earth pyramids in Bulgaria). The assessment was performed using a ‘modified geosite assessment model’ (M-GAM), which includes estimation of the main indicators and sub-indicators. Devil’s Town has an average level of major and additional values. Indicators show that this geosite has great tourist, scientific and aesthetic value, as well as enough space for improving the ecological and functional values, as a basis for the development of tourism. Devil’s Town displays a higher touristic value than the Sand pyramids and slightly lower than the Stob pyramids. However, in comparison with the Melnik Earth pyramids in Bulgaria, its touristic value is significantly lower. This study could serve as a guide for managing development strategies concerning decision-making and engagement in tourism of the analysed geosite, addressing the needs of modern tourists.

Abstract:
Two stone monuments in the shape of pine cones have been found at Humac near Ljubuški, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Pine cones are a fairly common motif, mainly on funerary monuments. They also occur in relief on certain everyday objects, on stele, and in particular on Liburnian cippi, where pine cones were a decorative feature on the calotte-shaped top of the monument. These were small in size, to about 15 cm. Larger pine cones, up to a metre, such as those on tombstones from the Dardanian region, are less common. The stone pine cones from Humac are fairly large, up to half a metre, similar to those from Dardania. This motif has also been recorded on the pyramidal pediment of funerary arae and mausolea, rotundas, urns, and architectural features.

Abstract:
Criminal morality, nepotism, fear culture, and corruption grow into the general culture, paralyzing and stagnating the country. The social pyramid of corruption consists of its massive broad base, everyday corruption whose actors are officials and citizens; the main reason is unemployment and insecurity on which the new bourgeoisie draws power from "legal" spilling public resources. The phenomenon is at least one of the most severe factors endangering the entire system and socio-political relations, influencing unemployment, economic migrations, and financial security. Some government elements' systemic absence of political stability, toleration, and organized crime protection further weaken institutions. The main focus after the democratic changes were on the protection of political rights, neglecting socioeconomic rights, which relates to gaining (ethnoreligious joint) social capital for future prosperity. In the economicsecurity-human rights framework, Dayton is non-functional, with massive and complex public administration, unsustainable. After the conflict, the international community's mistake is "leaving/supporting" war political structures with an ethnonational sign. War accumulation of capital (profiteering), through the privatization of the 1990s, led to the formation of the power of capital within ethnopolitical authorities (especially war parties). Practice and power abusive legislation on employment structure in the public sector requires systemic legislative reforms within the rule of law discourse. The political stalemate of ethnonational elites diminishes B&H's EU perspective by opening up a dialogue of will and political assessment by EU officials. Therefore, meeting the criteria for the EU, NATO should be considered a goal of transition and not just a condition for the EU; it is necessary to focus on the accession process as a (market) transformation key. Three ethnopolitics pursue containment policies; "hybrid wars" prevent their significant transition into three political communities, unable to make a functioning rule of law, influencing phenomena.

Osmanagich, Sam. "Bosnian Pyramids as Energy Amplifiers: Toward a New Understanding of Ancient Pyramid Technology." June 2, 2025. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15578944.

Full text
Abstract:
Traditional interpretations of pyramids across ancient civilizations—Egyptian, Mesoamerican, Chinese, and others—primarily emphasize their function as tombs or ritual monuments. However, a growing body of interdisciplinary evidence from the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids challenges this assumption and offers a transformative paradigm: pyramids as complex energy devices designed to interact with natural fields, frequencies, and environmental elements. Drawing upon published peer-reviewed research, this article integrates geodetic data, sacred geometry, bioenergetics, astronomical alignments, and subterranean engineering to argue that the Bosnian pyramids—particularly the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun—function as energy amplifiers. The study highlights precise orientation to true north, Fibonacci spiral layouts, water structuring, ionized air in subterranean tunnels, and correlations with celestial bodies such as the Pleiades. The results invite a reevaluation of ancient pyramid-building cultures and suggest an advanced understanding of energy, consciousness, and planetary harmony.

Osmanagich, Sam. "Is It Coincidence? Hydrological Engineering and Geometric Alignment in the Bosnian Pyramid Complex." May 31, 2025. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15565863.

Abstract:
This study investigates whether the unique alignment of hydrological and architectural elements in the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids is coincidental or indicative of ancient engineering. The Fojnica River exhibits an abrupt 90-degree turn at the site of the Pyramid of the Dragon and Temple of Mother Earth—suggesting potential hydrological manipulation. Simultaneously, a series of geometric alignments, Fibonacci spirals, and celestial correspondences to the Pleiades star cluster raise further questions about intentionality. To evaluate the probability of random occurrence, we applied Monte Carlo simulations to three phenomena: sacred geometric alignments, river curvature correlation with structures, and celestial mapping to terrestrial landmarks. Results show these patterns are statistically unlikely to occur by chance. The paper also incorporates evidence from LiDAR scans, sacred geometry modeling, and environmental data, including measured health benefits in the Ravne tunnel complex. These findings collectively suggest the need for a re-evaluation of the Bosnian Pyramid Complex through a multidisciplinary lens.

Abstract:
The emergence of large language models like ChatGPT has transformed how the public and scholars interact with scientific knowledge. This study evaluates the consistency, accuracy and epistemological behavior of two generations of ChatGPT—version 3.5 (May 2023) and GPT-4o (May 2025) in response to a scientifically grounded, yet publicly controversial topic: the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun. Despite improvements in language generation, both AI versions repeated unsupported claims, provided contradictory geological analogies and failed to acknowledge peer-reviewed evidence regarding the pyramid’s geometric precision and cardinal alignment. The comparison reveals limitations in machine learning's ability to meaningfully “learn” from expert input or correct misinformation over time. While GPT-4o showed a more refined tone and a greater willingness to concede error, it ultimately echoed the same core biases as its predecessor. These findings raise concerns about the use of AI as an authority in controversial or emerging scientific domains.

Abstract:
This article investigates potential spatial correspondences between the astronomical configuration of the Pleiades star cluster and the distribution of summit points in the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids. Drawing on LiDAR-based topographic data and comparative archaeoastronomical methods, the study examines straight-line alignments, triangular relationships, and spiral geometries embedded within the terrain. Key linear configurations include Taygeta–Maia–Alcyone and Moon–Earth–Dragon, as well as Electra–Alcyone–Pleione and Sun–Love–Dragon. The triangular arrangement formed by Maia–Electra–Merope is evaluated in evaluated in relation to the terrestrial triangle formed by the Sun, Moon, and Dragon pyramids. The Pleiades star cluster has held significant symbolic, agricultural, and calendrical meaning in ancient cultures across the globe, including those of the Maya, Ancestral Puebloans, Japanese, Maori, and Greeks. By integrating landscape geometry with stellar projection, the article offers a neutral, data-based framework for interpreting ancient spatial planning through cosmological reference models. All interpretations are supported by geodetic measurements, aerial survey data, and peer-reviewed sources.

Full text
Abstract:
This study presents clinical and biomedical evaluations of the Ravne Tunnel Complex, an artificially made underground network near the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, as a source of natural therapeutic effects. The research integrates findings from multiple pilot studies, medical observations, and Monte Carlo simulations to assess the efficacy of negative air ions (NAIs), elevated oxygen levels, and low electromagnetic pollution in the tunnel environment. Documented outcomes include rapid improvements in blood pressure, arterial elasticity, glucose levels, and live blood cell morphology—achieved with minimal exposure times of 45 to 90 minutes. These changes were compared to those typically observed from pharmaceutical interventions over significantly longer periods. Statistical simulations confirmed the improbability of such consistent improvements occurring by chance. The results suggest the Ravne tunnels represent a unique natural environment with measurable health benefits, warranting further exploration within clinical and environmental health frameworks.

Abstract:
This study presents an interdisciplinary investigation of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon through archaeological excavation, spatial geometry, geophysical surveying, and astronomical analysis. Stratigraphic excavations reveal sandstone terrace structures with clay interlayers suggestive of engineered construction. Topographic and satellite analyses demonstrate alignments incorporating Fibonacci geometry and equilateral triangular relationships among major features in the Visoko Valley. LiDAR and thermal inertia mapping highlight geomorphological anomalies, while ELF frequency measurements record coherent low-frequency emissions, including the Schumann resonance. PIP and NEV imaging show vertical energy field phenomena distinct from natural landscapes. Astronomical observations document solstice and equinox shadow interactions between pyramid structures. These combined results suggest a complex integration of geological, energetic, and astronomical principles in the ancient landscape, warranting further interdisciplinary research into the origins and functions of the Visoko Valley formations.

Abstract:
Brown marmorated stink bug Halyomorpha halys (Stål, 1855) is an invasive and polyphagous stink bug native to Asia. It has recently invaded Europe and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is highly polyphagous pest of many economically important commodities including tree fruit, nut crops, field crops, vegetables and ornamentals. Moreover, it is an important nuisance pest because large numbers of adults seek out artificial structures for overwintering. Monitoring of population dynamics of H. halys during two years (2020 and 2021) was performed in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The pest was present through monitoring period April–October with the highest abundance in the third decade of July when all life stages were present. More individuals were caught on pyramid trap (845) compared to sticky trap (156) favoring pyramid trap for future monitoring. Total number of caught individuals was 6.5 folds higher in the second year of the monitoring indicating population increase that presents threat to agricultural production.

Abstract:
This paper presents the first systematic classification of symbolic inscriptions discovered at the Bosnian Pyramid Complex, particularly in the Ravne tunnel system. Through detailed documentation of 18 figuresincluding epigraphic photographs, archaeological illustrationsandcomparative chartsthis study establishes the basis for identifying a potentially independent symbolic system, herein referred to as the 'Visoko Proto-Script'. The analysis draws comparative parallels to known prehistoric symbol systems such as the Vinča civilization of Southeastern Europe and early Runic traditions found in Northern and Central Europe. Several key glyph formssuch as chevrons, tridents, vertical strokesandbranching symbolsdemonstrate formal and functional similarities across cultural contexts. The findings support the hypothesis that these inscriptions were not merely decorative, but symbolic in nature. While some interpretations suggest possible ritual or energetic functions, these remain tentative and require further empirical investigation. This research contributes to the broader discourse on pre-alphabetic writing, cultural continuity in symbolic systemsandthe role of sacred geometry in prehistoric epigraphy.

Abstract:
Corporate Social Responsibility represents the voluntary and expressed concern of the company towards itself and its employees and towards the environment in a way to avoid or to minimize the negative consequences of its activities and to encourage, improve, and invest in its own development and development of the society. As Bosnia and Herzegovina belongs to a group of countries in development with a traditionally rooted philanthropy, we expect that the presented results of this paper will contribute to the reduction of the literary gap that had arisen from the lack of researches that have in its context corporate social responsibility, consumers and small and medium enterprises in such countries. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the ranking of responsibility from the pyramid of corporate social responsibility from the aspect of small and medium enterprises consumers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Particularly, this paper analyzes the difference in the priorities and the achieved mean values of economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic responsibility with respect to gender, whether the consumers in the environment know the company that operates ethically and socially responsibly, and respect to the material situation of consumer's household. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that consumers give priority to the philanthropic responsibility, i.e. in this research the redistribution of the importance of certain responsibility dimensions from the Carroll's pyramid of corporate social responsibility has not been confirmed. Statistically significant and positive values of Pearson correlation coefficient show us that economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic responsibilities are interconnected. There is no difference in the achieved mean values of economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic responsibilities with respect to the respondents’ gender (although there is a difference in the ranking of responsibilities). The highest mean values of the stated responsibilities have been achieved among the respondents who rated their material household status as "Much worse than the average", while the difference in the achieved mean values is statistically significant only for the legal and philanthropic responsibility in favor of consumers who had rated their household material condition as much worse than the average compared to those who had rated the household material condition as much better than average. Also significant mean values are noticable among respondents who know in their surrounding enterprises that are ethically and socially responsible, although statistically significant difference exist only with philanthropic responsibility. The results achieved in this research support the claims that in developing countries as well as in countries with traditionally rooted philanthropy priority is given to philanthropic responsibility compared to others.
