S'appuyant sur une enquête de terrain réalisée dans une province périphérique de la métropole milanaise, entre janvier 1999 et septembre 2000, cette ethnographie de la Lega Nord, mouvement sécessionniste fortement décrié pour ses positions xénophobes, rend compte du fonctionnement de l'organisation partisane, des sensibiblités politiques internes, des pratiques militantes et des représentations qui sous-tendent l'élaboration idéologique de la formation. Les observations conduites dans ce cadre étayent une thèse qui tient en deux propositions développées dans deux parties distinctes. La Lega Nord s'apparente aux contre-sociétés carnavalesques de la tradition car, tout en affichant son extériorité et sa pureté politique, elle extrêmise les travers des partis de la Première République pour mieux en accélérer la dissolution et développe l'expression d'un anti-nationalisme padan qui renverse les stéréotypes négatifs de l'italianité. Son leader, Umberto Bossi, est lui-même une figure stéréotypée, un masque, qui transgresse les normes et qui, en réalisant une inversion de statut, permet à des personnes marginalisées issues d'horizons sociaux et/ou différents de retrouver une image positive d'elles-mêmes en affirmant leur padanité contre le sentiment de la majorité des Italiens. Cette lecture éclaire d'un jour nouveau le rôle que la Lega Nord joue dans la transition politique engagée par l'Italie au début des années 1990.

Cette thèse est consacrée à l'étude d'un texte très peu étudié jusqu'à présent, publié à Milan en 1810 : le Del Cenacolo di Leonardo da Vinci, élaboré dans le contexte de la Lombardie à l'orée du XIX siècle. Ce travail a consisté à mettre au jour la complexité de la personnalité de Giuseppe Bossi, auteur de l'ouvrage en question, en rapport avec le contexte dont il est issu : éduqué selon les principes néoclassiques, à la fois peintre, écrivain, collectionneur, il possédait les caractéristiques de l'intellectuel oeuvrant au service de la politique culturelle du gouvernement de Napoléon en tant que Secrétaire de l'Académie des Beaux-Arts de Milan. Ces éléments liminaires permettent de comprendre l'origine de l'écriture du Del Cenacolo liée à l'élaboration d'une copie de la Cène de Léonard de Vinci dont Bossi fut chargé par le gouvernement français en 1807. A la croisée d'une sensibilité néoclassique et romantique, Bossi est confronté à la résolution du paradoxe qui consiste à rendre visible une image presque disparue. L'écriture du Del Cenacolo a été l'objet d'une approche pluridisciplinaire, comme forme d'interprétation de savoirs divers, littéraires, artistiques et politiques. A travers la méthode d'analyse philologique et critique de Bossi qui prend la Cène pour objet d'étude, nous avons tenté de percevoir les intentions personnelles de l'auteur : d'une part avec une visée politique, il cherche à valoriser le patrimoine artistique lombard dont Léonard devient presque le symbole. D'autre part, dans son interprétation des passions humaines des personnages de la Cène et des théories de Léonard, Bossi dévoile la portée didactique de son Del Cenacolo. Il propose aux étudiants des Beaux-Arts une image de la Cène, source d'inspiration créatrice, modèle toujours perfectible de l'élaboration artistique des sentiments. Par ce mouvement créateur auquel l'artiste en devenir est invité à participer, Bossi démontre sa volonté de transmettre des connaissances non définitives du maître de la Renaissance

Esta pesquisa tem como tema principal a relação da Bossa Nova com Recife, capital pernambucana, nos anos 1959 a 1969 (período em que a Bossa Nova surgiu e se disseminou de forma mais intensa), sendo Recife o terceiro centro urbano mais populoso do país à época. Tem como objetivos compreender como se deu essa relação, numa cidade tão distante do eixo Rio/São Paulo (onde a Bossa Nova foi propagada como uma revolução jovem e intrinsicamente ligada ao Rio de Janeiro e àquela sociedade da zona sul carioca). Como Recife, tão ligada às tradições do Frevo e do Maracatu absorveu a onda bossanovista e de que forma essa relação se manifestou, inclusive no processo de surgimento do que viria se chamar de música Bossa Nova. Foram consultados os dois principais jornais da cidade (e do estado de Pernambuco) no período acima citado, além de capas e contra capas de discos produzidos na época, principalmente os da extinta gravadora pernambucana de discos: a Rozenblit, que possuía alcance nacional à época. Também são apresentados trechos de entrevistas e depoimentos de músicos, artistas e atores envolvidos no cenário artístico intelectual da cidade à época, com ênfase no fato de que em 1960 eram inauguradas duas emissoras de televisão na cidade, com aparelhagens consideradas ―supermodernas‖ e um alcance interestadual (e até internacional), que transmitiam programação musical com a presença de auditório e de calouros, como por exemplo, um, denominado Clube da Bossa, composto exclusivamente de jovens amadores da Bossa Nova que cantavam exclusivamente ao som de violões. A pesquisa demonstra que houve uma relação: Recife Bossa Nova agentes locais e que essa relação afetou a produção musical local no recorte temporal aqui proposto e trouxe reflexos que podem ser percebidos nos anos subsequentes e ainda nos dias de hoje.

Detta examensarbete har utförts som en avslutande del på Innovations- och designingenjörsprogrammet på Karlstads universitet. Programmet är en 120-poängs högskoleingenjörsutbildning där examensarbetet består av 15 poäng.

Uppdragsgivare var BAE Systems Bofors i Karlskoga med Jan Ainali som handledare. Handledare på Karlstads universitet var Monica Jakobsson.

Uppdraget var att utveckla ett soldatsystem (all teknisk utrustning en soldat bär i strid) och ett gränssnitt mellan detta system och stridsfordonet CV9040. Detta för att soldatens roll under senare tid alltmer har förändrats till att kräva alltmer informationsteknisk utrustning.

Inledningsvis i projektet genomfördes en inventering dels för att samla information om konkurrerande system, dels för att undersöka vilka komponenter och vilken teknologi som är aktuell för dessa produkter, därefter påbörjades själva utvecklingsarbetet.

Metodiken som användes baserades till stor del på designprocessen då arbetet startade med research och resultatet av arbetet presenterades i form av ett koncept.

Resultatet utmynnade i Soldatsystem BOSSE (Bofors SoldatsystemsExjobb) och består av an rad komponenter samt ett koncept på integrering till CV9040. Av de komponenter som tagits fram har två stycken drivits djupare, siktesmodulen och handdatorn. Siktesmodulen monteras på vapnet och erbjuder rödpunktssikte med uppspeglad information, laseravståndsmätare, vinkelmätare och optiskt gyro. Handdatorns funktioner är GPS-navigering, enkel meddelandehantering samt fungerar som den beräknande kärnan i systemet.


This examination assignment was executed as a part of the innovation and design mechanical engineer program at Karlstad University. The program is a 120 point (180 points ECTS) where the examination assignment is 15 points (22, 5 points ECTS). BAE Systems Bofors in Karlskoga was the company who gave us the assignment and with Jan Ainali as the supervisor. Monica Jakobsson was the supervisor at Karlstad University.

The assignment was to develop a soldier system and an interface between this system and combat vehicle CV9040. The reason for thhe assignment is that the soldier’s role recently has changed to demand equipment more capable in information technology.

To get started with the project an inventory was carried out partly to gather information about competing soldier systems, partly to investigate the vital components of such a system to start the development process.

The method used was largely based on the design process taught at Karlstads University as the project started with idea generation and the result of the assignment was presented in the form of a concept.

The result of this process was the soldier system BOSSE (Bofors SoldatSystemsExjobb) and consists of a number of components and concept of how to integrate the system with CV9040. Of the developed components two was pushed further in the process, the aiming module and the PDA (personal digital assistant).

Né en 1912, l'architecte Jean Bossu a suivi un parcours professionnel atypique et étincelant. Engagé dès 1929 aux côtés de Le Corbusier, il a ensuite alterné les collaborations avec la plupart des architectes parisiens modernes de son époque. A la Libération de la France, il devient un reconstructeur original puis, multipliant les propositions singulières, un auteur qui compte dans le paysage architectural français. Il construit ses oeuvres les plus stimulantes outre-mer et dessine plusieurs propositions théoriques et/ou prospectives marquantes. En 1964, il devient le patron d'un atelier extérieur de l'école des Beaux-Arts puis participe à la fondation de l'Unité pédagogique d'architecture n° 5. Il meurt en 1983. A partir d'une multitude de sources, cette recherche ambitionne d'offrir la première présentation détaillée et articulée du parcours de l'architecte, le restituant dans le contexte plus large de son époque et s'attachant à construire une interprétation de ses propositions majeures.

Over the years, gaming has developed rapidly from simple pixel-based experiences to fully blown three-dimensional worlds. As developing technologies improve, so does the complexity and flexibility of what can be created. Encounters, along with all aspects of any gaming experience, have evolved along with the technologies that create them. These intense combat instances, often times referred to as “bosses”, represent a chance for the developer to challenge player skill, cooperation, and coordination. In addition to being major challenges, encounters also allow players to feel a sense of progression as they learn and adapt to mechanics incorporated within an encounter’s design. Eventually these mechanics are mastered, and surmounted to a lasting sense of accomplishment and success. This project details a personal process of encounter design from initial conception to eventual player testing, along with design choices, outside influences, and development methods. These were ultimately utilized in an attempt to create an engaging and successful boss encounter.

The information presented in this report only reflects public information issued by or about Hugo Boss AG until 30th of September 2019, thus any event or circumstance after this date is not considered. Hugo Boss AG is a Fashion Company known worldwide by its luxurious products, mainly apparel products. Hugo Boss AG was the company choosen to become the subject of the present master thesis final project, once the author is interested in the Personal Luxury Market. By performing an in-depth analysis on the company's management, financials, and risks as well as overall market and macroeconomics conditions, several assumptions were made to proper estimate the Hugo Boss AG price target by the year-end of 2020. With the use of the Free Cash Flow to the Firm Method from the Discounted Cash Flow Models, we estimate a price target of €66 for 2020YE. This will lead to an upside potential of around 27% when comparing with price of €49.15 from 30th of September 2019, meaning a BUY recommendation with Medium Risk. Complementary valuation methodologies were used to support our recommendation.

Resumo: Composta de parte da produção musical de setores da classe média carioca da década de 1950, a Bossa Nova surgiu num momento de profundas transformações nas estruturas sociais do país. Associada à ascensão das camadas médias urbanas, à transformações técnicas na indústria fonográfica, dentre outros processos, aquela música foi foco de intensa discussão nos meios de comunicação e posteriormente no meio acadêmico. O principal debate tratou da autenticidade daquela música, orientado por noções como de identidade, nação, libertação e identidade nacional construídas anteriormente na história do Brasil, chamadas de nacional-popular. Ocorreu que enquanto setores mais conservadores afirmavam que ela tomava emprestado procedimentos do Jazz, advindos do intenso influxo da cultura norte-americana, outros defendiam que ela se apresentava como uma alternativa moderna e brasileira à pr.ogramação predominantemente estrangeira das rádios. Enfocando esse debate da influência do Jazz, foram realizadas resenhas de cinco autores que escreveram nos primeiros anos do fenômeno bossanovista - Brasil Rocha Brito, Júlio Medaglia, Ramalho Neto, Aloysio de Oliveira e José Ramos Tinhorão. A partir do confronto entre a análise musical e auditiva dos aspectos da melodia, harmonia, ritmo, forma, instrumentação e arranjo de nove canções bossanovistas e o trabalho desses autores, procura-se demonstrar que a noção de influências do Jazz constituiu um construção simbólica, orientada por aquela ideologia nacional-popular. Além disso, ao detectar uma diversidade nas prática e procedimentos empregados no interior do repertório analisado,'também se questiona a unidade da produção musical bossanovista.
Abstract: Composed of part of the musical production of sectors of the middle class of Rio de Janeiro ca. 1950s, Bossa Nova music appeared at a moment of profound transformations in the social structures of Brazilian society. Associated with the ascension of the urban middle classes, and the technical transformations in the phonographic industry, amongst other processes, this music was the focus of intense quarrel in the media and, later, in the academy. The main debate dealt .with the authenticity of this music, and the argument was strongly influenced by notions of identity, nation, liberation and national identity - ideas previously constructed in Brazilian history and collectively called national-popular. While conservative sectors affirmed that Bossa Nova music loaned musical procedures ITom Jazz associated with the intense influx of the North American culture, others defended that it presented itse1f as a modern and Brazilian alterative to the predominantly foreign radio programme. This work focuses on this debate of the influence of Jazz music. Summaries of tive Brazilian authors who wrote in the early years of the Bossa Nova Phenomenon were written: Brazil Rocha Brito, Júlio Medaglia, Ramalho Neto, Aloysio de Oliveira and Jose Tinhorão Tinhorão. Through the confrontation of the literary works of these authors and the musical and auditory analysis of the aspects of the melody, harmony, rhythm, form, instrumentation and arrangement of nine Bossa Nova songs, it is demonstrated that the notion of influences of Jazz music constitute a symbolic construction, guided by the national-popular ideology. Moreover, while detecting diversity in the procedures used within the in scope of the analyzed repertoire, the unity ofthe Bossa Nova repertoire is questioned.

Le travail de ma thèse s'est concentré sur l'extraction du signal laissé par les BAO dans la distribution des galaxies. Celui se présente sous forme d'un pic autour de 150 Mpc dans la fonction de corrélation à deux point de la matière. Cette échelle correspond à la distance parcourue par l'onde acoustique dans le fluide matière-radiation entre la période d'égalité matière-radiation et leur découplage à z-1100. Il en résulte une sur-densité à cette échelle autour de chaque perturbation primordiale. Le but de mon travail était d'effectuer une analyse complète sur les données prises par la collaboration SDSS III/BOSS jusqu'à l'été 2011 afin ; d'apporter des contraintes sur les paramètres caractérisant l'énergie noire, WO et Wa. On veut \ savoir si ces observations sont consistantes avec la fameuse constante cosmologique (W0=1 et Wa=0) ou si l'équation d'état de l'énergie noire évolue avec le temps (Wa diff 0) impliquant alors des scénarios bien plus complexes pour cette composante. Pour y arriver, j'ai étudié et testé les j outils d'analyse avec des simulations log-normal ainsi qu'avec les données publiques du DR7 de ; SDSS. J'ai étudié les effets de distorsion des redshifts dans le régime linéaire avec des simulations et j'ai développé une méthode d'optimisation d'estimateur de fonction de corrélation. Dans un second temps j'ai réalisé l'analyse complète des données BOSS-CMASS, qui utilise les galaxies elliptiques très lumineuses (LRGs), depuis la construction du catalogue jusqu'à l'obtention des contraintes cosmologique en passant par la correction des effets systématiques
My research focuses on the extraction of the signal imprinted by the BAO on the galaxy distribution. The BAO feature is a bump at -150Mpcin the two-points correlation function of the matter in the Universe. This corresponds to maximum distance travelled by acoustic waves in the matter-radiation fluid during the period from matter/radiation equality to their decoupling at z-1100. An excess density at a radius of 150 Mpc was left after decoupling around each dark-matter density peak. The final goal of my work is to perform a complete analysis of the data available up to summer 2011 in SDSS III/BOSS in order to give constraints on isotropised distance DV and constraint the dark energy equation of state parameters wo and Wa. With such observations, one wants to check if the data is consistent with the so-called cosmological constant (corresponding to wo= -1 and wa= 0) or if the dark energy equation of state shows a time evolution (wa= 0) pointing to more complex dark energy scenarios. I studied and tested data analysis tools with log normal simulations and the public DR7 to achieve this goal. I studied the redshift distortions with simulations in the linear regime and I developed a optimization method for the correlation function estimator. The second part of my my work was focused in the analysis of BOSS data. There are to main programs in the SDSS III/BOSS project: the Luminous Red Galaxies catalogue and a new technique based on quasars using the Lyman-alpha forest. I have focused my research on the LRG science. I performed a complete analysis of BOSS-CMASS sample from catalog construction, systematic corrections and cosmological constrains

A partir da leitura de canções significativas do samba e da bossa nova, em que foram observados tanto os aspectos literários quanto musicais, a pesquisa pretende discutir o nascimento da música popular urbana proveniente da união do samba com o fonógrafo. Procurou-se repensar o percurso da música popular no Brasil, ao longo da primeira metade do século XX e a eclosão do movimento da bossa nova no ano de 1958. Da dificuldade inicial de inserção do samba no ambiente cultural brasileiro à sua consagração como símbolo de nacionalidade, a pesquisa demonstra as transformações do gênero até a modernização definitiva da bossa nova e a participação da música popular na construção de uma identidade brasileira. Os trabalhos de Luiz Tatit, José Miguel Wisnik, Hermano Vianna, Carlos Sandroni, Santuza Cambraia Naves, na área da música e Homi K. Bhabha, Paul Gilroy e Néstor Garcia Canclini, nos estudos pós-coloniais, compõem o referencial teórico dessa pesquisa.
Through the reading of songs of significance of the samba and the bossa nova styles, in which both literary and musical aspects were observed, this research aims to discuss the birth of the urban popular music from the union of the samba with the phonograph. It tries to rethink the ways taken by the popular music in Brazil, during the first half of the twentieth century, and the emergence of the bossa nova in 1958. From the first difficulties of the inclusion of samba in the Brazilian cultural environment to its recognition as a nationality symbol, the research demonstrates the transformations of the style until the final modernization of bossa nova, and the participation of the popular music in the construction of a Brazilian identity. The theoretical framework of this research includes the works of Luiz Tatit, José Miguel Wisnik, Hermano Vianna, Carlos Sandroni, Santuza Cambraia Naves, in the field of music, and of Homi K. Babha, Paul Gilroy and Néstor Garcia Canclini in the post-colonialist studies.

Abstract:
This is a history of the development of the manager in English football from 1880 until the mid-1960s. It is predicated on two main arguments. First, that football management in England has largely reflected the practical tradition of British management where managers are employed more for their experience than any qualifications that they might hold. Second, that the management of players during this period mirrored prevailing attitudes within society towards the handling of young, working-class men and because they lacked any management training, managers imposed their personality and authority on them. The thesis has a chronological structure. The first chapter provides a broad overview of British management up to 1970. Its aim is to provide an overall context for the rest of the thesis by analysing the history of British management, its culture, and also the role of education. Chapter 2 charts the early development of football management in the years up to 1914. The following chapter examines the emergence of early football managers during the same period. It examines, first, the relationship between a manager and his directors and how this has developed in light of football's commercialisation process; second, how the training and background of managers has reflected trends within British management; and third, the manager's relationship with his workers, the players. This framework will be used throughout the thesis. Chapter 4 is a case study of Herbert Chapman. Chapter 5 deals with the inter-War period and Chapter 6 looks at the emergence of modem football management from 1945 up to the Sixties. Chapter 7 assesses the socio-economic impact of a manager on a team's performance during this period. The conclusion will briefly draw together the main themes and arguments of the thesis.

Utilizando-se de uma vasta bibliografia sobre Fado e Bossa Nova além de estudo de campo no Museu do Fado, este trabalho reunirá um conteúdo comparatista pouco explorado até ao momento e de grande substrato cultural; A little corner, a guitar: the Bossa Nova, the Fado and the poetic representation of the city Abstract: It is proposed, in a comparative approach between the poetry of Fado and that of Bossa Nova, focusing on the period 1958-1966 and the cultural aspects of Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro, developing the approximations and dissimilarities between poems (lyrics) of both musical movements. It will be tried to implement the analysis around the common theme of the "city" - catalyst of the motive of the space and the landscape of the I-poet. Using a vast bibliography on Fado and Bossa Nova as well as a field study at the Fado Museum, this work will bring together comparativist content that has not yet been explored until now, and of great cultural substrate.

The research reported in this thesis examines some aspects of upward influence behaviours at work, and in particular, the relationship between type of influence behaviours used and a number of potential correlates, including sex of agent, sex of target, sex-role identity, locus of control, job level, job type (secretarial worker or not) and educational level of agent. To examine these relationships. 64 male and 173 female white-collar workers (at AS01 to AS06 levels, or equivalent) in three large organisations in Canberra (A.C.T.) were surveyed, with a questionnaire containing measures of influence behaviours, attitudes to influencing upwards at work, a measure of sex-role identity, and a measure of locus of control beliefs, as well as demographic information. The data gathered from this survey was analysed using univariate, bivariate. and multivariate methods. Results showed limited support for stereotypical differences between males and females in influence behaviours used, and no support for hypotheses involving sex of target, sex-role identity, or secretarial workers. Influence behaviours previously identified as having positive outcomes for the agent were found in this study to be significantly associated with job level and educational level; influence behaviours previously identified as having negative outcomes for the agent were significantly associated with the tendency to explain outcomes in terms of control by powerful others, and with a sex-role identity characterised by negative masculinity traits. These findings suggest the importance of both structural and personal factors in choice of upward influence strategies at work. Suggestions for further research are provided.

A tese acompanha a carreira acadêmica de Alfredo Bosi a partir de suas duas teses inéditas defendidas na USP (uma de Doutorado, em 1964; outra de Livre Docência, em 1970). O eixo de apreciação resvala-se em cinco grandes campos da crítica literária: as análises em profundidade de dois autores italianos, Luigi Pirandello e Giacomo Leopardi, feitas por Bosi no início de carreira; os métodos de análise literária, depreendidos de sua obra posterior; a “verificação” desses métodos em autores outros, escolhidos no lastro do longo itinerário de Bosi; o movimento auscultado pelo estudo da cultura brasileira, da história e da poesia; e, finalmente, o conceito de “Literatura e Resistência” propriamente dito, que dimana para uma crítica da arte e da literatura pós- modernas, e se distende para o conceito filosófico de Ideologia. Este último conceito, “Literatura e Resistência”, me afigurou necessário seguir mais de perto no desenlace da análise, dada a constância com que apareceu no itinerário mentis do Autor. Essa constância acompanhava-se de um processo que não era apenas o da análise literária, mas se sentia ou se resvalava ainda e também nos modos da cultura por ele lida. Este conceito nasce e ganha tonus durante o período que denomino de “anos de formação” do Autor, precisamente os anos de defesa das teses. Amadurece, entretanto, a par de várias contribuições posteriores, chegando, a partir daí, a uma crítica do presente. Dois pontos me pareceram imprescindíveis analisar: o primeiro deles indica o respeito e o interesse, bem como a leitura da cultura, através da ideia de sujeito, eclipsada por algumas estéticas formalistas do século XX; o segundo, indica a busca por uma estética que possa ser requerida a partir de uma demanda formalizada pelo corpo, instância forte que origina e sente a literatura, de modo a impregnar tanto a Memória quanto o Corpo e a Fantasia. No 1º capítulo, esboçam-se as análises das teses de Bosi, tentando depreender delas alguns aspectos que se somam às perspectivas desenvolvidas na sua obra posterior. No 2º capítulo, verifico quais são as balizas de entendimento da análise interpretativa, compreendendo seus métodos e modos de entender a leitura da coisa literária. O 3º capítulo fundamenta os eventos da cultura, do Ser da poesia e do modo como Bosi dilata o entendimento do historicismo por ele defendido. No último capítulo desenvolve-se o conceito de “Literatura e esistência”, fulcro para onde converge a tese. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT
The thesis follows the academic career of Alfredo Bosi since his two unpublished theses defended at USP (one of Doctorate, in 1964; another of Full Professor, in 1970). The axis of appreciation slips into five major fields of literary criticism: the in-depth analysis of two Italian authors, Luigi Pirandello and Giacomo Leopardi, made by Bosi in his early career; the methods of literary analysis, inferred from his later work; the “verification” of these methods in other authors, chosen in the ballast of the long itinerary of Bosi; the movement auscultated by the study of Brazilian culture, of history and poetry; and, finally, the concept of “Literature and Resistance” itself, which flows to a critique of post-modern art and literature, and stretches to the philosophical concept of Ideology. It appeared necessary to me to follow this last concept, “Literature and Resistance”, closely in the conclusion of the analysis, given the constancy with which it appeared in the mentis itinerary of the Author. This constancy was followed up by a process that was not only of the literary analysis, but was felt or slid yet and also in the ways of the culture he read. This concept is born and gains tonus during the period I called “formative years” of the Author, precisely the years in which he defended his theses. It matures, however, along with several subsequent contributions, coming, thenceforth, to a critique of the present. Two points seemed indispensable to analyze: the first one indicates the respect and the interest, as well as the reading of culture, through the idea of subject, eclipsed by some formalist aesthetics in the twentieth century; the second, indicates the search for an aesthetic that can be required from a demand formalized by the body, strong instance that origins and feels the literature, in a way that impregnates as much the Memory as the Body and the Fantasy. In the first chapter, the analysis of Bosi’s theses are sketched up, in a tentative to infer some aspects of them that add to the perspectives developed in his later work. In the second chapter, I verify what are the landmarks to understand the interpretative analysis, including his methods and ways of understanding the reading of the literary thing. The third chapter substantiates the events of culture, of the Being of poetry and of the way that Bosi expands the understanding of the historicism that he advocates. In the last chapter it is developed the concept of “Literature and Resistance”, fulcrum to where the thesis converge.

Abstract:
Les habitats sur le substrat de serpentine représentent un environnement hostile pour le développement des plantes. Ils sont caractérisés par un faible nombre d'espèces mais un haut niveau d'endémisme. Cette étude présente pour la première fois une série des données sur la taille du génome, du nombre chromosomique, du niveau de ploïdie, de l'affinité pour le substrat, du cycle de vie, du type et de la forme de croissance des serpentinophytes dans l'extrême nord-ouest de la zone de serpentine dans les Balkans. Les 308 taxons des plantes étudiées comprennent appartenant à 213 genres, dont la taille du génome est donnée pour la première fois pour 28 genres et 99 espèces. En utilisant les critères de Leitch, plus de la moitié des taxons (55.63%) appartiennent au groupe des très petits génomes, 22.19% aux petits, 18.75% aux moyens, 3.13% aux grands, et seulement 0.31% aux très grands génomes. Concernant l'affinité au substrat, la majorité d'espèces (171) sont indifférentes ou des serpentinophytes facultatives (103). Selon le type de cycle de vie, ~ 4% des espèces sont annuelles, 88.31% pérennes, dont 57% possèdent de très petits génomes. Les hémicryptophytes représentent une forme de vie dominante (48.38%), tandis que les phanérophytes représentent 17%, les chaméphytes 15%, les thérophyte 9% et les géophytes 9%. Il est évident que le stress hydrique, les températures élevées et la présence de métaux lourds dans les habitats sur la serpentine jouent une haute pression sélective et favorisent des espèces pérennes à très petits génomes.Le Narcissus poeticus (Amaryllidaceae), serpentinophyte facultative, est l'ancêtre des narcisses cultivés. C'est la première étude de N. poeticus et de sa rhizosphère dans les populations naturelles. Il montre une tolérance au pH du sol qui varie du 4.64 à 7.85. Les concentrations totales de nickel, de cobalt et de magnésium sont plus élevées dans les sols sur serpentine que dans ceux sur calcaires. Narcissus poeticus est caractérisé par une plus grande accumulation de manganèse, de nickel et de magnésium dans ses parties aériennes. Le cobalt, par contre, a une concentration totale uniforme dans toutes les parties de la plante. Une autre caractéristique inhabituelle de N. poeticus est son plus grand rapport molaire Ca/Mg dans les parties souterraines, probablement dû à sa forme de vie (géophytes) et une dormance estivale. Il est évident que, même si N. poeticus accumule certaines quantités de métaux lourds estimés (Mn, Ni, Co, Fe), il n'est pas pour autant un hyperaccumulateur.Une partie importante de ce travail concerne la variabilité de la structure chromosomique, la taille du génome, le niveau de ploïdie et la présence de chromosomes B dans 13 populations naturelles de N. poeticus poussant sur différents substrats géologiques et dans différentes conditions environnementales. La technique de la cytométrie en flux a été utilisée pour estimer la taille du génome, l'hybridation in situ fluorescente (FISH) pour la cartographie physique de l'ADNr, le fluorochrome banding pour l'organisation de l'hétérochromatine et la coloration au nitrate d'argent pour estimer l'activité des gènes ribosomiques. L'organisation des gènes ribosomiques et l'existence des triploïdes naturels ont été rapportés ici pour la première fois. Présence des individus portant de chromosomes B (dans 9 populations sur 13) et de translocations chromosomiques a été détectée. Un système particulier de chromosomes B présente trois différents morphotypes. Le submétacentrique type, le plus fréquent, possède quatre paternes différents dans l'organisation de l'hétérochromatine et de l'ADNr. La coloration à l'AgNO3 a montré que le nombre de nucléoles formés augmente en présence des chromosomes B portant des gènes ribosomiques, dont l'activité est ainsi prouvée. Les résultats obtenus démontrent que N. poeticus possède un génome dynamique avec la quantité d'ADN variable en raison de la présence de polyploïdie, de chromosomes B et de réarrangements chromosomiques. Il semble que les modifications observées reflètent la réponse du génome à différentes conditions environnementales où les individus portant les chromosomes B pourraient avoir des avantages sélectifs.

Contra os excessos: contenção, equilíbrio e amor na bossa nova analisa a estética comedida que marcou o movimento inaugural da moderna canção brasileira. Utilizando os conceitos da filosofia estética de Nietzsche - presentes, sobretudo, em seu primeiro livro, O Nascimento da Tragédia - os estudos contidos nesta dissertação descrevem a construção do estilo da bossa nova como uma constante luta contra os excessos que assolavam a música brasileira nos anos 1950, e uma constante busca pelo equilíbrio entre termos opostos. São abordados três aspectos principais na construção desse estilo: a nova forma interpretativa de João Gilberto - baseada na busca obsessiva do equilíbrio perfeito entre canto e fala -, o modelo melódico/harmônico de Tom Jobim - que cria um regime de contenção no qual o máximo de expressividade pode ser obtido com o mínimo de recursos - e o conteúdo mais ameno e solar das letras, em contraposição com o estilo rebuscado e carregado em tintas dramáticas que prevalecia nos sambascanções que dominavam o cenário musical. Por sua autoconsciência, despojamento, equilíbrio e serenidade, a bossa nova será definida como um movimento marcadamente apolíneo, embora sempre haja, pelo menos nas melhores realizações, algum traço dionisíaco. Essas qualidades serão decisivas também na formulação de um discurso amoroso coerente com as premissas conceituais dessa nova música, e com as expectativas da classe social e do tempo que a ensejaram. Dessa forma, a poética bossanovista vai se caracterizar por um discurso amoroso mais leve, menos dramático, mais calcado no instante do que no passado, no qual todos os sentimentos, mesmo os tristes, são banhados por uma aura de ternura que os torna gratificantes.
Against the excesses: limits, balance and love in bossa nova examines the sparingly aesthetics that marked a new movement in modern Brazilian music. Using the concepts of Nietzsche´s aesthetic philosophy, especially outlined in his first book, The Birth of Tragedy this study describes the creation process of bossa nova music as a constant struggle against the existing 1950´s Brazilian music excesses, in a regular search for balance between opposing terms. Three main aspects are addressed in the construction of this style: an innovative interpretation by singer Joao Gilberto, based on the obsessive search of a perfect balance between singing and talking; the melodic and harmonic music of composer Tom Jobim, establishing a musical structure that conciliated the maximum of expressiveness with minimum resources - and the softer and bright content of the lyrics in opposition to the dramatic style that prevailed in sambacanção songs that dominated the musical scene. For its self- consciousness, liberal content, balance and serenity, the bossa nova is defined as a markedly Apollonian movement, although there is always some Dionysian aspect at least in its more prominent songs. These qualities are also crucial in the formulation of the love concept that is consistent with the language of this new music style and with the social class and period of time expectations. Therefore, the bossa nova poetry is characterized by a softer and less dramatic concept of love that is based more in the present than in the past, in which all feelings, even the saddest ones, are surrounded by a gratifying aura of tenderness. Este trabalho estuda a gênese do estilo musical bossa nova a partir da análise das quatro canções de Tom Jobim com letra dele mesmo que integram o repertório dos três primeiros discos de João Gilberto. A análise propriamente dita é precedida de contextualizações e definições. Situa-se a bossa nova como gênero no contexto histórico da canção, estabelecedo-se o recorte específico do trabalho. Procura-se aplicar o conceito de sistema literário, ao estudo da canção, em especial para clarificar o papel relevante das novas tecnologias disponíveis de gravação e radiodifusão na definição da canção popular do século XX. É feita uma análise resumida do que é a canção popular norte-americana, em especial aquilo que convencionou-se de chamar standards. Tendo alguns compositores – Noel Rosa, Pixinguinha, Dorival Caymmi e Ary Barroso – como eixo diacrônico, mostram-se os traços da modernização da música brasileira e, ao mesmo tempo, discutesse a dicotomia tom elevado/tom rebaixado aplicada à essa música. Finalmente, pesquisa-se na análise de Outra vez, Só em teus braços, Este teu olhar e Corcovado, os traços característicos do estilo. Considerando a relevância em cada caso, são analisados: a voz, o violão, a forma, os baixos, a harmonia, as letras e as melodias.
This work studies the birth of the bossa nova style from the analysis of the four Tom Jobim‟s songs where he is also the lyricist in the first three albuns of João Gilberto. The analysis itself is preceeded of contextualizations ano definitions. The bossa nova is placed as a genre in the historic context of the “song”. The concept of literary sistem is applied to the study of the song, particularly concernig the role of the new recording and broadcasting tecnologies that appeared in the 20th century. A brief analysis of the american popular song, specially the jazz standards, a historical contextualization of the bossa nova in brazilian popular music and the discussion of the dicotomy between high and low levels of art are included. Whith the analysis of the songs Outra vez, Só em teus braços, Este teu olhar and Corcovado, the main characteristics of the style are pointed. The voice, the guitar, the form, the basses, the harmony the lyrics and the melodies are analysed.

L'Impressionnisme et la Bossa Nova — une Thèse de Surface se présente comme une vaste mosaïque dans laquelle des champs disciplinaires divers et éloignés les uns des autres peuvent interagir d'une façon harmonieuse et libre. Sollicitant des données issues de domaines comme la théorie de la chanson, l'histoire culturelle, la psychologie cognitive, la musicologie, la critique d'art, les neurosciences et la biologie de l'évolution, parmi d'autres, le travail est structuré en trois parties qui sont à la fois autonomes et complémentaires. Dans la première sont abordés des thèmes liés à la dimension mélodique et linéaire de la musique ; à sa relation avec la mémoire et la perception du temps. Les oeuvres de Tom Jobim servent alors de modèles nous permettant de mettre en lumière le caractère éminemment mélodique de la chanson commerciale. En tentant de définir la place qu'occupe cet artiste dans la tradition de la chanson brésilienne on met également en évidence le caractère innovant d'une oeuvre qui rompt avec le passé. Dans la deuxième partie, le regard se déplace vers le rôle de l'harmonie et sur la dimension verticale dans la musique, dimension responsable de son impact instantané sur l'auditeur. En plus d'une longue introduction sur le changement du discours harmonique qui s'est opéré dans la musique européenne du XIXe siècle, on met l'accent sur l'importance des sensations les plus directes dans la tradition musicale moderne, au rebours d'une vision qui en privilégie les dimensions narratives et linéaires. On montre ensuite comment, à la faveur d'un tel déplacement, il devient possible d'opérer un rapprochement non seulement entre la musique de Claude Debussy et la peinture de Claude Monet (l'Impressionnisme), mais aussi entre l'art de ces derniers et le nouveau style créé par Tom Jobim et Joâo Gilberto au Brésil (la Bossa Nova). Dans la troisième et dernière partie du travail, on propose un regard nouveau sur la dimension rythmique de la musique brésilienne. L'objectif est ici un élargissement, à la lumière d'études récentes, de la compréhension de la relation du rythme avec le corps (l'organisme), avec la langue et avec l'idée d'une formation culturelle. Created in the format of an argument essay, Impressionism and Bossa Nova - A surface analysis proposes a broad mosaic in which distinct and distant fields of knowledge, which are usually considered in isolation can interact fluidly and freely link together. Using information from areas such as song theory, cultural history, cognitive psychology, musicology, art critic, neuroscience and evolutionary biology, among others, the essay is structured in three multifaceted frames, simultaneously autonomous and complementary. In the first part of the essay, topics related to the melodic and linear dimension of the music are addressed, in relation to the memory and perception of time. Compositions authored by Tom Jobim are highlighted and help to shed light on the eminently melodic character of the folk song, while revealing their own level of innovation in the past and defining its place in the tradition of Brazilian music. In the second part the essay, focus is given to the role of harmony and to a proper vertical dimension of music, a dimension that relates to the prompt impact of the instant. Apart from a long introduction regarding the change in harmonic discourse in the European music of the nineteenth century, a emphasis is given to the more direct impact of feelings and sensations, rather than on a linear and narrative conception of the musical discourse. This shift can be seen as a point of approximation not only between the music of Claude Debussy with the painting of Claude Monet (Impressionism) but also with the new style created by Tom Jobim and Joao Gilberto in Brazil (Bossa Nova). The third and last part of the essay proposes a new focus on the rhythmic dimension of the Brazilian music, broadened in light of recent studies, and taking the music of Tom Jobim and Joâo Gilberto as the basis for comparison, thereby increasing the understanding of its relationship with the body, the language, and the idea of cultural development in the country

Teachers are often surprised to find that their students have forgotten material that they demonstrated mastery of on a recent assessment. To address this issue, many teachers attempt to give students more meaningful encounters with course material through various types of alternative assessment. This study examines the effects of creating an assessment portfolio on student achievement and compares alternative assessment strategies to traditional assessment strategies. During the study students reflected on assessments that they completed and created a portfolio to show what and how they learned. Students completed surveys and interviews to determine how they felt these assessments helped them to learn.

A construção do lirismo de Vinicius de Moraes é investigada a partir da análise de textos. Uma arquitetura lírica é assim identificada como núcleo imutável em sua natureza mesmo quando se observa a passagem do texto escrito para a letra da canção. Examina-se como neste centro produtor do lirismo combinam-se variáveis de maneira muito particular, uma característica que, por sua vez, está associada ao momento histórico-cultural peculiar dos anos 1950 em que o autor produz.
Vinicius de Moraes construction of the lirism is investigated based on a textual analisis. A liric architecture is identified as a poetic centre which does not change even when considered in the way from the writen text to the lyrics. Its then analysed how, in this poetic center, different variables are arranged, something that is strictly related to a peculiar 1950s historical moment.

This work deals with the life and, particularly, the political career of Dr. Rollin Bunch, a three-term mayor of Muncie, Indiana. There are several valid reasons why Bunch's life and career deserve a study. Simple chronology is a major reason. Bunch's first two terms were during the tumultuous World War I era, and his final administration occurred during the equally historic Depression of the 1930s.Another reason to pursue this study is that Bunch represents both the political bossism of the turn of the century and the idealism expressed by the New Deal. By employing old-fashioned power politics to obtain progressive and liberal goals, Bunch proved to be an innovative leader. His frequent legal problems, including several indictments and even a federal prison term, also make him an interesting case study.Primary data, which consists of sources not contaminated by the opinions and prejudices of others, will provide most documentation. Contemporary newspapers have been my main source. The newspapers most used in this study are two conservative, Republican daily papers, The Muncie Morning Star and The Muncie Evening Press. Two defunct weekly papers were also studied, The X-Ray and The Muncie Post Democrat. The X-Ray was a barely coherent anti-Semitic paper, whereas The Muncie Post Democrat was published by another Muncie mayor and bitter enemy of Bunch, George Dale. All four newspapers routinely vilified Bunch, which makes his substantial electoral success even more remarkable.Personal interviews were another major source. The main problem was finding people who could clearly recall the events of six to seven decades ago, not an easy task. Despite these inherent problems, documentation concerning Bunch was available from several sources.I believe this dissertation will add substantially to the body of work available concerning local histories generally, and Muncie and Delaware County particularly.

Le travail de ma thèse s'est concentré sur l'extraction du signal laissé par les BAO dans la distribution des galaxies. Celui se présente sous forme d'un pic autour de 150 Mpc dans la fonction de corrélation à deux point de la matière. Cette échelle correspond à la distance parcourue par l'onde acoustique dans le fuide matière-radiation entre la période d'égalité matière-radiation et leur découplage à z ∼ 1100. Il en résulte une sur-densité à cette échelle autour de chaque perturbation primordiale. Le but de mon travail était d'efectuer une analyse complète sur les données prises par la collaboration SDSS III/BOSS jusqu'à l'été 2011 afin d'apporter des contraintes sur les paramètres caractérisant l'énergie noire, w0 et wa . On veut savoir si ces observations sont consistantes avec la fameuse constante cosmologique (w0 = 1 et wa = 0) ou si l'équation d'état de l'énergie noire évolue avec le temps (wa ̸= 0) impliquant alors des scénarios bien plus complexes pour cette composante. Pour y arriver, j'ai étudié et testé les outils d'analyse avec des simulations log-normal ainsi qu'avec les données publiques du DR7 de SDSS. J'ai étudié les effets de distorsion des redshifts dans le régime linéaire avec des simulations et j'ai développé une méthode d'optimisation d'estimateur de fonction de corrélation. Dans un second temps j'ai réalisé l'analyse complète des données BOSS-CMASS, qui utilise les galaxies elliptiques très lumineuses (LRGs), depuis la construction du catalogue jusqu'à l'obtention des contraintes cosmologique en passant par la correction des effets systématiques.

En 2010, 1 500 chefs d'entreprise ont identifié la créativité des managers comme le facteur le plus important pour les réussites futures des organisations. Cependant, l'engagement des managers dans des actions créatives est en constante concurrence avec des comportements de routine qui impliquent moins de prise de risque, d'incertitude et de possibilité d'échec. La thèse présente trois axes de recherche pour étudier et comprendre la décision des managers de s'engager dans des actions créatives. Le premier se concentre sur la façon dont les managers conçoivent la créativité et l'innovation lorsqu'elles s'appliquent à leur activité. Elle étudie aussi la façon dont les conceptions des managers peuvent influencer leurs propres comportements créatifs et leur évaluation de pratiques managériales et de managers créatifs. Le second axe montre que les actions créatives résultent d'un processus décisionnel qui évalue la pertinence de la créativité dans des situations spécifiques et prend en compte les prédispositions individuelles comme les caractéristiques favorables de l'organisation. Le troisième axe établit comment la complémentarité ou l'inadéquation entre les caractéristiques des managers et de leurs organisations peuvent déclencher des comportements créatifs. Les conclusions de cette recherche réaffirment l'intérêt des approches multivariées et interactionnistes de la créativité dans les organisations. Elle souligne également l'importance de considérer l'évaluation par les managers de la pertinence et de l'efficacité d'actions créatives dans des situations de travail spécifiques. Enfin, la plupart des recherches tendent à concevoir que la créativité émerge de circonstances positives et encourageantes. In 2010, 1,500 Chief Executive Officers identified managers' creativity as the most crucial factor for future organizational success. However, managers' engagement in creative actions is constantly competing with routine behaviors that imply less risk taking, uncertainty and possibility of failure. This dissertation explores three potential avenues to understand managers' decisions to engage in creative actions. The first one focuses on managers' conceptions of creativity and innovation as antecedents of their own creative behaviors and their evaluation of creative managers and managerial practices. The second avenue examines how creative actions result from a decision-making process that evaluates the relevance of creativity in specific situations and takes into account individual predispositions and organizational characteristics. The third avenue investigates the extent to which a fit or misfit between managers and their organizations can trigger creative behaviors. This research reaffirms the relevance of the multivariate and interactionnist approaches to organizational creativity. It highlights also the importance of considering managers' evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of specific creative actions in specific situations. Finally, most research tends to conceive that managerial creativity emerges from positive and encouraging circumstances. In contrast, the present research highlights that managerial creativity can emerge as a response to situations of misfit and dissatisfaction

Sexualitetens historia präglas av en stor ojämlikhet beträffande sexuellt handlingsutrymme mellan kvinnor och män. Med denna studie ämnar vi att utforska eventuella ojämlikheter mellan killar och tjejers sexuella handlingsutrymme i Sverige, världens fjärde mest jämställda land enligt World Economic Forum. Vår studie bygger på två fokusgrupper med totalt 13 deltagare i åldern 16-17 år. Empirin i vår studie har analyserats utifrån ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv. Vår studie visar att samma handlingar och beteenden som ger killar status som kungar ger tjejer stämplar som horor. Studien påvisar de ideal som råder gällande hur en tjej och hur en kille ska vara. Tjejer förväntas kontrollera sin sexualitet och vara lagom, till skillnad från killar som förväntas ta större plats och få utlopp för sin sexualitet. Det framgår tydligt i vår studie att det finns stora ojämlikheter mellan tjejer och killars sexuella handlingsutrymme, där tjejers utrymme är betydligt mer begränsat än killars.
The human history of sexuality is characterized by vast inequalities regardingsexual maneuver between women and men. With this study, we intend to explorethe potential inequalities between boys and girls' sexual maneuver in Sweden, theworld's fourth most equal country. Our study is based on two focus groups with atotal of 13 participants in the age of 16-17 years old. The empirical data in ourstudy have been analyzed from a social constructivist perspective. Our studyshows that the same actions and behaviours that give boys the status of kingsgives girls rumours of being whores. Our study also demonstrates the ideals thatexists regarding how a girl and how a guy should be. Girls are expected to controltheir sexuality and not be “too much”. Boys on the other hand are expected to takemore space and act out their sexuality. Our study shows that there are greatdisparities between girls' and boys' sexual autonomy, where girls' space is muchmore limited than boys.

The hypothesis that the Portuguese version is based on De la Manière de Graver à L'eau Forte et au Burin, a treatise on French engraving amplified by Charles Nicolas Cochin and edited in the year 1758, guided this study. This research involved a comparison of Abraham Bosse's original treatise of 1645 with the three subsequent French editions, 1701, 1745, 1758, and the edition produced in Portugal in 1801. The changes and updates in relation to the content and the images were analyzed, verifying that the Portuguese edition of 1801 presents few changes in relation to the French text of 1758
O objetivo desta pesquisa é verificar dentre as tradições relacionadas aos tratados e manuais, o percurso de uma publicação francesa sobre as práticas artesanais da gravura em metal, até sua tradução realizada. Será investigada a relevância dessa obra traduzida para o português com o título, Tratado da Gravura à Água-Forte e a Buril e em Maneira Negra com o modo de construir as Prensas Modernas e de Imprimir em Talho-Doce, pelo Padre José Joaquim Viegas Menezes e publicada em 1801 na Tipografia do Arco do Cego. A hipótese de que a versão portuguesa, se baseia no De la Manière de Graver à L'eau Forte et au Burin, tratado da gravura francês ampliado por Charles Nicolas Cochin e editado no ano de 1758, guiou este estudo. O caminho desta pesquisa envolveu a comparação do tratado original de Abraham Bosse de 1645, com as três edições francesas subsequentes, 1701, 1745, 1758 e a edição produzida em Portugal em 1801. Foram analisadas as mudanças e atualizações em relação ao conteúdo e às imagens, verificando-se que a edição portuguesa de 1801 apresenta poucas alterações em relação ao texto francês de 1758

A execução de uma canção da forma extremamente precisa, em termos de início e duração das notas, tal como elas apareceriam em uma partitura, soa normalmente mecânico e artificial aos ouvidos de um músico com um mínimo de experiência. A expressividade musical se traduz em modificações feitas pelo músico ao interpretar uma partitura ou canção. Dentre estas modificações, encontram-se: (a) o microandamento, minúsculas variações de andamento e (b) a microdinâmica, minúsculas variações na intensidade das notas. Diante da dificuldade de se medir, com o ouvido humano, estas minúsculas variações, e também de se analisar um grande corpus musical manualmente, as pesquisas na área de expressividade musical podem se beneficiar grandemente do uso da computação. O objetivo geral deste trabalho é contribuir com o estudo da expressividade do violão brasileiro, fazendo uma análise minuciosa de duas das principais dimensões da expressividade musical o microandamento e a microdinâmica no âmbito da bossa nova, assim como produzir uma ferramenta capaz de dar expressividade às interpretações feitas pelo computador, de canções de bossa nova. Para tanto, serão apresentadas novas análises em relação aos trabalhos anteriores que buscaram estudar o microandamento e a microdinâmica na bossa nova, fazendo uso de técnicas de clustering (agrupamento), além de correções desses mesmos trabalhos que permitiram gerar novos dados e algumas novas conclusões acerca da expressividade musical na bossa nova, nas duas dimensões supracitadas. Por fim, será mostrada a ferramenta desenvolvida para geração de desvios de tempo e variação de intensidade com base nas análises realizadas, a qual foi chamada de SEMPT (Synthetic Expressive Music Performance Tool), que permitiu realizar experimentos com músicos para avaliar a percepção do microandamento e da microdinâmica, quando são contrapostos pares contendo um trecho de canção sem expressividade e outro trecho semelhante com adição dos valores de microandamento e/ou microdinâmica

Cette monographie sur abraham bosse aborde tant son activite d'aquafortiste que son abondante oeuvre theorique, redigee entre 1642 et 1674. La presentation, chronologique, s'organise autour de deux grandes charnieres, l'annee 1642 d'une part, ou bosse decide d'embrasser la theorie et de releguer sa carriere de graveur au second plan, l'annee 1653 de l'autre, ou nait, avec le bun, une premiere contestation des theories de bosse au sein de l'academie. La premiere partie (1620-1642 environ) s'articule en trois chapitres, le premier etudiant les milieux que frequente bosse a paris (entreprise tavernier, reseaux protestants, cercles scientifiques. . . ), le second s'attachant a son oeuvre grave (chronologie, manieres, publics. . . ), le troisieme essayant de situer cet oeuvre dans son siecle, en analysant sa fortune critique et le statut du celebre traite de bosse sur les manieres de graver. La seconde partie (1643-1653) s'attache a la theorie de bosse et a la place centrale qu'il prend a l'academie a partir de 1648, tant par son enseignement de la perspective arguesienne que par sa theorie des arts de "portraiture" et son engagement pedagogique. Elle cherche aussi a mettre en evidence les applications pratiques des theories de bosse, examinant les cas de la hyre, le sueur, le brun, et la question des decors de plafonds. La troisieme partie (1655-1676) est consacree a la marginalisation progressive de bosse et de ses idees dans la france des annees 1655-70, d'abord au sein de l'academie avec sa demission en 1661, puis avec la publication successive des textes de felibien, roger de piles (traduction de dufresnoy), perrault, et surtout huret, qui tous cherchent a restreindre la place de la geometrie dans la peinture. Le dernier chapitre clot sur les dernieres activites theoriques de bosse (l'architecture pour l'essentiel, en lien avec l'essor des grands chantiers, puis la creation de l'academie d'architecture). La conclusion essaie de cerner le poids de bosse dans l'elaborationd'une theorie de l'art a la francaise (refus des references humanistes et du discours d'autorite, necessite d'arguments raisonnables. . . )

Abstract:
The digital Bleek and Lloyd Collection is a rare collection that contains artwork, notebooks and dictionaries of the earliest habitants of Southern Africa. Previous attempts have been made to recognize the complex text in the notebooks using machine learning techniques, but due to the complexity of the manuscripts the recognition accuracy was low. In this research, a crowdsourcing based method is proposed to transcribe the historical handwritten manuscripts, where volunteers transcribe the notebooks online. An online crowdsourcing transcription tool was developed and deployed. Experiments were conducted to determine the quality of transcriptions and accuracy of the volunteers compared with a gold standard. The results show that volunteers are able to produce reliable transcriptions of high quality. The inter-transcriber agreement is 80% for |Xam text and 95% for English text. When the |Xam text transcriptions produced by the volunteers are compared with the gold standard, the volunteers achieve an average accuracy of 69.69%. Findings show that there exists a positive linear correlation between the inter-transcriber agreement and the accuracy of transcriptions. The user survey revealed that volunteers found the transcription process enjoyable, though it was difficult. Results indicate that volunteer thinking can be used to crowdsource intellectually-intensive tasks in digital libraries like transcription of handwritten manuscripts. Volunteer thinking outperforms machine learning techniques at the task of transcribing notebooks from the Bleek and Lloyd Collection.

The theme of the present work is "Bossa Nova, its documents and unfoldings: a movement beyond the music”. More specifically, it is about selecting Bossa Nova related documents from 1958 to 1964 to compose the research corpus and articulate them under a methodological network process for observation. Thus, a recollection is made on how the Bossa Nova movement is formally spoken, aiming at punctuating its history, as well as the social and political context at the time it appeared. Esta dissertação tem como tema central o estudo das relações estabelecidas entre o grupo de samba-jazz, No Olho da Rua, e a zona sul da cidade do Rio de Janeiro a partir das performances ao vivo , aos domingos, na calçada da Praia de Ipanema e, como objetivos, determinar os significados que, provavelmente, estão sendo atribuídos a essas performances por seus ouvintes, de que maneira estes significados se articulam na construção das relações entre o grupo e os moradores do bairro e o peso desses processos para o desenrolar da carreira do grupo. Para tanto, primeiramente, discutem-se: as várias maneiras através das quais a música estabelece ligações com os lugares e sociedades que a produzem e que dela fazem uso; a utilização da música popular como símbolo de identidade; e as imagens identitárias cariocas e ipanemenses. Em seguida, são abordadas as formas pelas quais a bossa nova e o samba-jazz estabelecem seus laços com os bairros da zona sul da cidade do Rio de Janeiro e, mais especificamente, com o bairro de Ipanema. Por fim, são analisadas reportagens, depoimentos e entrevistas, juntamente com o material áudio visual existente sobre o grupo (clips, capas de CDs e gravações das performances ao vivo ). Nesse processo, percebe-se que apesar dos shows do No Olho da Rua produzirem sentidos diversos, frutos da subjetividade inerente à escuta, tanto a fruição dessas performances por parte dos ouvintes como a construção de seus significados e de suas ligações com o lugar se constituem por uma intrincada rede de articulações entre elementos musicais e extramusicais que dialogam com a história do bairro e dos gêneros, a partir dos quais o grupo se define, assim como, com especificidades sociais, culturais e ideológicas comuns a uma parcela dos habitantes daquela área da cidade. Consequentemente, pela força dessas articulações, o grupo torna-se uma marca da identidade local e, da mesma forma, o lugar passa a ocupar um papel de destaque nos discursos, a partir dos quais o grupo se define e é definido pela imprensa e pelos fãs.

Abstract:
This thesis illustrates the complexity of emotions in the entrepreneurial context. By using vignettes and in-depth interviews conducted among nine employees from entrepreneurial firms in Lithuania and nine employees from entrepreneurial firms in the Netherlands, this study offers a perspective on how emotional display of the entrepreneur influence employee’s behavior. The display of two negative (anger and fear), two positive (joy and confidence) emotions, and entrepreneurial passion are studied and the findings show that there is (a) a significant relationship between entrepreneur’s display of positive and negative emotions and employee’s behavior (e.g., motivation and decision-making); (b) the entrepreneur’s emotions have potentially positive and negative effect on the employee’s behavior and this is largely influenced by the relationship and dynamics between the employee and entrepreneur defined by the duration and intensity of the relationship, the formal/informal distance between the entrepreneur and employee, past experiences with the entrepreneur, the degree of honesty and sincerity expressed, and the level of mutual trust; (c) the reaction of the employees is partly based on the characteristics above as well as on sensitivity towards the emotions to whom they are displayed. In terms of reactions, the employees have a certain emotional balance based on the past situation, current situation, and the personal preference towards the degree and frequency of positive versus negative emotions. Each emotional display is weighed on this balance and inflicts a feeling, which results in a certain behavior. Finally, studying (d) the patterns between Dutch and Lithuanian employees in their perception of the entrepreneurs’ emotions, the results show that Dutch employees, in general, are more direct and assertive. They indicate that they greatly enjoy displays of positive emotions, passion and a degree of informalities when the relationship with the entrepreneur develops, but in negative situations they have the tendency to direct their irritation-adjusting behavior directly towards the entrepreneur. Lithuanian employees are more focused on finding solutions to negative situations together with colleagues rather than confronting the entrepreneur, and to balance on so called “blinding” effect they greatly value rationality and reason from the entrepreneur. To interpret and fully understand the specifics of the findings we use valence, appraisal, and expectancy theories. Based on this analytical approach, we provide two tentative models that, we think, both well summarize the results of this research and call for a need for a further research suggesting that there might be much more hidden behind the curtains of the emotional scene introduced by this thesis.

A indústria de jogos é um mercado arriscado e com pequena margem para erros. A alta competição requer eficiência em seus processos de design, o que resultou em significativas evoluções ao longo dos anos. É na fase inicial do game design, chamada de conceituação, que são definidas as ideias que formarão a base do jogo, definindo o que ele apresentará de inovador em relação a seus concorrentes. Entretanto, apesar da sua importância no sucesso do jogo, a conceituação ainda é pouco explorada na literatura de jogos e tem tirado pouco proveito dos processos de inovação empregados em outras áreas. Duas empresas locais aplicaram, de forma pragmática e preliminar, a estratégia do Oceano Azul à fase de conceituação de dois jogos. Essa estratégia visa inovar na geração de produtos, tornando a competição irrelevante. Ambos os títulos obtiveram ótimos resultados comerciais, onde ficou evidente o papel da inovação. Entretanto, o processo aplicado ainda não havia sido propriamente formalizado e não contava com ferramental de apoio. Diante desse contexto, esse estudo objetivou: i) estruturar, formalizar e evoluir o processo iniciado nas empresas citadas; e ii) construir ferramentas de apoio a tal processo. A ferramenta e o processo evoluído foram comparados e avaliados em relação à versão inicial criada pelas empresas por meio de um caso de teste e questionários. Os resultados indicam melhorias em desempenho e diversidade de soluções em relação a seu predecessor.

Abstract:
Studiens syfte är att undersöka relationer mellan sändare och mottagare i interna mail i en hierarkiskt uppbyggd säljorganisation. Studien ska besvara vilka språkhandlingar och sociala strategier som används och hur användandet av dessa påverkar relationen mellan sändaren och mottagaren. Analysmetoderna som studien använder sig av är hämtade från den funktionella grammatiken, en konstruktivistisk språkmodell. Språkhandlingarna som ingår i materialet beskrivs som utbyten och kategoriseras som språkhandlingar och speciella språkhandlingar. Språkhandlingsanalysen är gjord på fria satser. Analysen fördjupas med stöd i analyserna av språkhandlingar i respektive mail, genom att jag drar slutsatser om vilken/vilka sociala strategier som används av avsändaren för varje mail.   Studien visar att tonen i samtliga mail är informell och uppvisar förtrolighet till mottagarna. Sändaren i respektive mail är övervägande eller uteslutande givande i sitt utbyte. Flera av språkhandlingarna som förkommer kan tolkas som speciella språkhandlingar och ha dubbla budskap. Slutsatsen av analyserna är att tonen i de analyserade mailen är informell och påvisar en förtrolighetsstrategi. I två av de fyra mail som analyserats framträder dessutom en dominansstrategi. Dock är dominansstrategin inbakad i en informell ton och kan därför också tolkas som en försiktighetsstrategi. Sammanfattningsvis visar studien att sändarnas användning av språkhandlingar och sociala strategier kan säga något om relationen till mottagarna och att tolkningarna kräver kontextuella ledtrådar.
