Full textThis work is achieved in MIS Laboratory (MIS EA 4290) of Picardie Jules Verne University. It has financially supported by the European INTERREG IVA 2 seas PN 05-025- FR Project SCODECE. Diesel engines have to satisfy three expectations: control cost, a low impact in environment and improved reliability. The control objective treat in this work is to regulate the EGR and VVT flows to specified values depending on the fuel command and the engine speed. The modeling of the air path System of turbocharged diesel engine by a T-S fuzzy model has been studied to deal with the complexity of the Diesel engine. Tracking control strategies based on TS fuzzy models have been developed. Simulation results on professional Simulator AMEsim have been validated. All the results are published on national and international conferences

Full textThis PHD thesis is a contribution to the design of the diagnosis system of the air path of a PSA Peugeot Citroën Diesel engine. For complex systems, as Diesel engines, searching for the consistency tests which are relevant for diagnosing faults is not obvious. The Structural Analysis method is used in order to make this search easier, for it provides a system's diagnosis designer with information, such as : the diagnosis potential of the system, and the exhaustive definition of consistency tests. This thesis describes efficient structural analysis algorithms, which help manage the complexity of current algorithms. This objective is met thanks to the simplification of the analysis process : the consistency tests returned by the developed algorithms have good properties of computability, and possess good fault isolability potential. This simplification comes from the integration of calculability constraints and of diagnosis requirements into current algorithms. Developed algorithms are integrated into a software allowing to analyze Simulink models, and are illustrated thanks to two application cases. The second application case presented in this thesis is a PSA Peugeot Citroën internal model describing a Diesel engine air path. A structural analysis yields indicators discriminating two types of clogging, and thus allows tto improve the diagnosis coverage of Diesel engines

Full textPollution problems related to the automotive sector have been known since the 1940s. The United States was the first to be impacted by the automotive "boom" of the inter-war period, and introduced the first anti-pollution laws in 1960. Following these directives and the two oil shocks, various commitments for global emission limitations have been born for some 20 years. The Kyoto Protocol and the European Union directives (Euro 6c currently in force) are the main recent illustrations. This thesis is in line with the work undertaken almost fifty years ago in order to continue efforts to reduce consumption and pollution of motor vehicles. It thus proposes a method of rapid visualization with the present computer means, of the internal aeraulic behaviour in the cylinder head and the combustion chamber of the spark-ignition engines. The goal is to be able to predict these variations reliably and quickly using numerical simulation tools, in order to limit the manufacture, quantity and cost of the prototypes to be tested

Full textThe aim of the research works presented in this thesis is to model the air loop of a Diesel engine in real-time calculation on a HiL test bench. A 0D combustion model based on the double Wiebe equations approach was used. Moreover, a modeling of the auto-ignition delay was established following two approaches: for pilot and post injections, only the Arrhenius approach was adopted, while for the main injection, the Arrhenius approach and a simple correlation determining the auto-ignition delay were tested. Furthermore, the modeling of pollutant emissions such as NOx, during the combustion phase, was performed using the extended Zeldovich mechanism. A model of two zones combustion was developed to determine the burnt gas temperature necessary to NOx model. Then, the reduction of the NOx emissions in the SCR system was designed based on a chemical reactions model capable of simulating their evolution within the catalyst. Finally, the combustion model has been implemented in the global vehicle model and tested in static mode (offline) and only for specific operating points. The results show a good behavior of the model against the pressure readings measured, in terms of both ignition delay prediction, and the cylinder pressure evolution. This means that a good estimation of the generated engine torque was established

Full textThe episcopal and archiepiscopal menses designate the incomes of a bishopric assigned to the maintenance of its holder, that is to say to a bishop or an archbishop outside the period of vacancy of their seat. These last ones are recognized by the canon law since low Antiquity before being suppressed a first time during the French Revolution. They find a legal existence thanks to the Imperial Decree of November 6, 1813. Indeed, Napoleon and his minister of religion Felix Julien Jean Bigot de Préameneu integrate them into Concordat’s right in the form of ecclesiastical establishment. This means that menses become public institutions of worship. It has the effect of placing all incomes of the French episcopate within the fold of the rules of public accounting. These public establishments of a particular kind are suppressed by the separation law between the churches and the state of December 9, 1905, and are replaced by the diocesan associations; except in the three departments of Moselle, Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin where menses are maintained as public institutions of "sui generis" type in French law. This doctoral thesis in the history of law aims to highlight the functioning of this type of institution through the study of the archiepiscopal mense of the metropolitan archbishopric of Aix, Arles and Embrun from 1791 to 1906, thanks to the description of many archival documents

Full textMemories of aix in zola's novels are even more impressive than one previously thought. That is what a systematical study, usine new documents, emphasizes. Our knowledge of the writer's early years of youth is thus enhanced and modified. Parallel to the study, a script is produced for a creative documentary film, based precisely on the relations between the real background and the fictitious one. The way of producing text material, as the research indicates, appears to be related to the "roman familial" pattern, figures are born from amalgams, free associations, before they are organized into narrative functionality. Certain effects of montage can be compared to what lev koulechov called "creative geography". The film script finds inspiration in the results of historical and critical investigations, without being made didactical. It is made from a choice of episodes featuring the writer as well as his characters, in the contemporary scene of aix as well as in obviously artificial sets. A take-off of television litterature programs suggests what a "fictional criticism" could be. The study concludes by considerations and proposals about the figuration process in the "aixois" novels and in the whole series

Full textThis research considers the understanding and representation of the phenomenon of territorial competitiveness. The thesis is an hybrid exploration of new phenomenon studied by the Public Management and may be included analysis of the contexts, contents and processes used. Territorial competitiveness is understood as a framework, not a fact. The complexity approach is to re-build practices effectively implemented by managers through a territorial confrontation of theory and empiricism. The first part formalizes a conceptual and methodological framework for the management of territorial competitiveness. As a transdisciplinary approach, the outlines of public policy-making are defined for the competitiveness of territories. The overall heuristic axiom allows the consideration of the influences of contexts according to a market logic and society logic. Idiosyncratic and diachronic dimensions of territorial competitiveness are defined to analyze contents and processes of the subject of research. Thus, the mechanical and biological analogies allow a better understanding of the emergent management modalities.The second part goes over the empirical test. A longitudinal case study based on two embedded units of analysis is conducted at Aix-en-Provence. Four modalities of territorial competitiveness management have been found. The boundaries lines of public policy-making are defined by the growth of continuous additions. The packages of services emerge from the construction of collaborative arenas by managers through proactive public policies projects. The transition from market logic to society logic is provided by a form of societal proximity that emerges from the territorial public policies. The erection of an arena to lead intentions finalized of heterogeneous actors goes through a local chain of innovation between managers. The local ecosystem of innovation is constituted by the embedding of personal networks of each manager and for linking heterogeneous structures with different purposes. This ecosystem must be managed to ensure the sustainability of the system of territorial competitiveness. Tree types of territorial competitiveness governance would appear concurrently: flexible, differentiated and shared. The first one type will mix the paths of prosperity with those of competitiveness (differentiated). The second type may allow the dialogical processes of public policy-making to arbitrate between polarization and dispersion of productive activities (flexible). The last one may permit the kinetic energy to deploy in an area to be competitive through the construction of an arena of convergence of intentions by social proximity (shared)

Full textMany fields of applications use spatial representations. This is the case of architecture, town planning or geography. The acquisition of these spatial datas in town planning these last years has experienced a significant progress with the introduction of new instruments. This acquisition allows to get urban support analysis at different levels of details and for different purposes. This thesis proposes an approach to combine two disciplines, the urban typomorphology and geomatics. We have explained the central notion of morphological process, the different steps of operation peculiar to the historical analysis for the treatment of map datas with the GIS instrument, primarily our work consist to explore the GIS contribution to the historical data treatment and analysis. We focused particularly on the approach to complete typomorphological potential interpretive and descriptive. Our thesis work has been made from different stages, we can mention the construction of a formal classification, concepts related to the historical development and morphology of Constantine and Aix-en-Provence. Starting from this urban history compare the two cities has established a chronology of the evolution of urban forms, to better understand the challenges each of these latter. Specifically, this work allows us to contribute to improving the mastery of the urban project. Finally tracks are proposed to continue this work by exploiting the platform exploration of 3D representation proved very useful for making historical analysis
