Abstract.A set X is prime bounding if for every complete atomic decidable (CAD) theory T there is a prime model of T decidable in X. It is easy to see that X = 0′ is prime bounding. Denisov claimed that every X <T 0′ is not prime bounding, but we discovered this to be incorrect. Here we give the correct characterization that the prime bounding sets X ≤τ 0′ are exactly the sets which are not low2. Recall that X is low2 if X″ ≤τ 0″. To prove that a low2 set X is not prime bounding we use a 0′ -computable listing of the array of sets {Y : Y ≤τX } to build a CAD theory T which diagonalizes agai

AbstractA Turing degree d is homogeneous bounding if every complete decidable (CD) theory has a d-decidable homogeneous model , i.e., the elementary diagram De () has degree d. It follows from results of Macintyre and Marker that every PA degree (i.e., every degree of a complete extension of Peano Arithmetic) is homogeneous bounding. We prove that in fact a degree is homogeneous bounding if and only if it is a PA degree. We do this by showing that there is a single CD theory T such that every homogeneous model of T has a PA degree.

In this paper, a method for determining the approximated minimum-bounding box is presented. This method can only be used in the model that has finite vertices. A concept of the minimum span is introduced to determine one length of the bounding box according to a flush edge. After calculating a minimum span, the minimum-area rectangle of the projection is required to be one candidate of minimum-bounding boxes. In many applications, the volume of the bounding box is requested as small as possible. This paper provides an additional property to keep both one length and one rectangle of the boundin

Oriented object detection has received extensive attention in recent years, especially for the task of detecting targets in aerial imagery. Traditional detectors locate objects by horizontal bounding boxes (HBBs), which may cause inaccuracies when detecting objects with arbitrary oriented angles, dense distribution and a large aspect ratio. Oriented bounding boxes (OBBs), which add different rotation angles to the horizontal bounding boxes, can better deal with the above problems. New problems arise with the introduction of oriented bounding boxes for rotation detectors, such as an increase in

Single-object visual tracking aims at locating a target in each video frame by predicting the bounding box of the object. Recent approaches have adopted iterative procedures to gradually refine the bounding box and locate the target in the image. In such approaches, the deep model takes as input the image patch corresponding to the currently estimated target bounding box, and provides as output the probability associated with each of the possible bounding box refinements, generally defined as a discrete set of linear transformations of the bounding box center and size. Abstract Species distribution models are increasing in popularity for mapping suitable habitat for species of management concern. Many investigators now recognize that extrapolations of these models with geographic information systems (GIS) might be sensitive to the environmental bounds of the data used in their development, yet there is no recommended best practice for “clamping” model extrapolations. We relied on two commonly used modeling approaches: classification and regression tree (CART) and maximum entropy (Maxent) models, and we tested a simple alteration of the model extrapolations,

Our interest in this paper is the relationship between n-generic (indeed 1-generic) degrees and minimal degrees, i.e. degrees which are non-recursive and which bound no degrees intermediate between them and the recursive degree. It is known that n-generic degrees and minimal degrees have a complex relationship since Cohen forcing and Sacks forcing are mutually incompatible. The goal of this paper is to show.
