AbstractBetween 1908 and 1911, New York Symphony Orchestra conductor Walter Damrosch engaged the modern dancer Isadora Duncan to perform with his orchestra in New York and on three tours of the Midwest. Damrosch's “pioneering spirit” allowed him a genuine appreciation of Duncan's expressive, transcendent dancing. Yet for his critics, the shockingly under-dressed dancer, just bac

Abstract Pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PanIN) is a premalignant lesion that potentially progresses into pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Since PanIN diagnosis is restricted to formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples, little is known about PanIN interactions with the surrounding microenvironment due to the technical limitations to perform genome-wide single-cell analysis. We developed whole transcriptome spatial technology for FFPE to provide the ideal tool to profile PanINs in their microenvironment. We performed FFPE spatial transcriptomics (ST) using the Visium (1

Abstract Dedifferentiated/undifferentiated endometrial carcinoma (DEC/UEC) is a highly aggressive histologic subtype of uterine cancer with a higher incidence among non-Hispanic Black women. Recent exome-wide sequencing studies have revealed frequent and often concomitant mutations in the ARID1A and ARID1B genes in over 50% of DEC/UEC cases and 30% of all endometrial carcinomas. The mSWI/SNF family of chromatin remodelers are critical regulators of cell type-specific chromatin accessibility and gene expression, existing in three distinct forms: canonical BAF (cBAF), Poly bromodomain-associated

Abstract:
In Rome, Barber attended a Gregorian Mass sung by Benedictine monks at St. Anselmo church and was inspired to write a grand-scaled religious work, Prayers of Kierkegaard, for orchestra, mixed chorus, a soprano solo written with Leontyne Price’s voice in mind, and incidental contralto and tenor solos. It was premiered by the Boston Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Charles Munch, with Price as soloist. Barber wrote about the music to his beloved mentor and uncle, Sidney Homer, who at the time was coming toward the end of his life. Homer’s guidance was unwavering, and he encouraged Barber to
