`Heritage', `Titan', and `Boyne' red raspberries (Rubus idaeus L.) were grown for 3 years and plots were sampled annually for changes in growth. `Heritage' is a primocane- and floricane-fruiting, strongly suckering cultivar; `Boyne' is a floricane-fruiting, strongly suckering cultivar; and `Titan' is a floricane-fruiting, weakly suckering cultivar. Each year in October, plants of each cultivar were dug from two 0.5-m2 plots in each of four rows, separated into roots, crowns, canes (primocanes were harvested in October and floricanes were harvested in July), and leaves, and dried. Treatments of either staked (stabilized) or not staked (control, freestanding) canes were applied to Rubus idaeus L. `Boyne' and `Regency' during the 1997 and 1998 seasons to determine the effect of stabilizing fruiting canes in a windy environment. Treatments were applied in late April of each year, and canes were removed following harvest for growth analysis. Stabilizing (staking) floricanes increased yield per cane in `Boyne' by 68% and in `Regency' by 189%, primarily through increases in fruit number per cane. Leaf area of the staked canes was 41% larger for `Boyne' and 159% for `Regency'

Abstract:
A new field in dental implantology is developing with the goal of finding new ways to improve the osteoconductivity of bone substitutes and to study new molecules able to dictate cellular differentiation and improve bone regeneration. The real future in bone regeneration seems to be in connection with the rhBMP-2s, currently obtained by synthesis using recombinant DNA. Since the first rhBMP-2 studies in humans by Boyne, There are many studies for bone regeneration at oral and maxillofacial area. The rhBMP-2 is widely used at sinus augmentation, alveolar bone defect, and socket preservation.

The indirect sinus lift is a procedure to lift the augment/regenerate alveolar bone in atrophied residual maxillary posterior alveolar crest . The posterior maxilla is always considered as difficult site for the placement of implant than the mandible due to the presence of various anatomical land mark such as maxillary sinus. The anatomical structure of maxillary sinus often makes every dental implant surgeons a challenge task in placement of endosteal implants in the chronic atrophic maxilla and difficulty in osseointegration and further functional and aesthetic implant supported prosthesis.

This is a noticing and a return - a good old-fashioned call and response. An understanding and a becoming. At present, the noticing is on brokenness and the response on reparation. The work is filtered and guided through my background in traditional woodworking and furniture design. A lifetime love of comic books, storytelling, and illustration refuses silence, and it escapes in bursts as I work intuitively through design and material. A newly discovered love of writing finds meaning in that intuition. It’s impossible, even irresponsible, for me to notice and question the brokenness around me
