<p> Global optimization problems sometimes attain their extrema on infinite subsets of the search space, forcing mathematically rigorous programs to require large amounts of data to describe these sets. This makes these programs natural candidates for both vectorization methods and parallel computing. Here, we give a brief overview of parallel computing and vectorization methods, exploit their availability by constructing a fully distributed implementation of a mathematically rigorous Vector Parallel Branch and Bound Algorithm using MATLAB&rsquo;s SPMD architecture and interval arithmetic, and analyze the performance of the algorithm across different methods of inter-processor communication.</p><p>

Abstract:
Treatment of jojoba plants with foliar sprays of benzyladenine (BA) alone, or in combination with gibberellin(4+7) (GA(4+7)) fatly increased branching frequency compared to untreated control plants and to plants from which all shoot tips were removed (pinched). Use of BA by itself resulted in an adverse reduction in intemode elongation. This was overcome in treatments which included GA(4+7) Use of GA(4+7) by itself resulted in reduced branching and abnormal shoot elongation. Pruning (pinching) of all shoot tips resulted in a slight increase in branching over untreated plants, but it had much less effect on branching than did treatments with BA. Results were very similar on two different clones tested.

Abstract:
Financial institutions make use of a variety of delivery channels for servicing their customers. The primary channel utilised as a means of acquiring new customers and increasing market share is through the retail branch network. The 1990s saw the Internet explosion and with it a threat to branches. The relatively low cost associated with virtual delivery channels made it inevitable for financial institutions to direct their focus towards such new and more cost efficient technologies. By the beginning of the 21st century -and with increasing limitations identified in alternative virtual delivery channels, the financial industry returned to a more balanced view which may be seen as the revival of branch networks. The main purpose of this study is to provide a roadmap for financial institutions in managing their branch network. A three step methodology, representative of data mining and management science techniques, will be used to explain relative branch efficiency. The methodology consists of clustering analysis (CA), data envelopment analysis (DEA) and decision tree induction (DTI). CA is applied to data internal to the financial institution for increasing' the discriminatory power of DEA. DEA is used to calculate the relevant operating efficiencies of branches deemed homogeneous during CA. Finally, DTI is used to interpret the DEA results and additional data describing the market environment the branch operates in, as well as inquiring into the nature of the relative efficiency of the branch.<br>Thesis (M.Com. Abstract:
The increasing emphasis on mass customization, shortened product lifecycles, synchronized supply chains, when coupled with advances in information system, is driving most firms towards make-to-order (MTO) operations. Increasing global competition, lower profit margins, and higher customer expectations force the MTO firms to plan its capacity by managing the effective demand. The goal of this research was to maximize the operational profits of a make-to-order operation by selectively accepting incoming customer orders and simultaneously allocating capacity for them at the sales stage. For integrating the two decisions, a Mixed-Integer Linear Program (MILP) was formulated which can aid an operations manager in an MTO environment to select a set of potential customer orders such that all the selected orders are fulfilled by their deadline. The proposed model combines order acceptance/rejection decision with detailed scheduling. Experiments with the formulation indicate that for larger problem sizes, the computational time required to determine an optimal solution is prohibitive. This formulation inherits a block diagonal structure, and can be decomposed into one or more sub-problems (i.e. one sub-problem for each customer order) and a master problem by applying Dantzig-Wolfe’s decomposition principles. To efficiently solve the original MILP, an exact Branch-and-Price algorithm was successfully developed. Various approximation algorithms were developed to further improve the runtime. Experiments conducted unequivocally show the efficiency of these algorithms compared to a commercial optimization solver. The existing literature addresses the static order acceptance problem for a single machine environment having regular capacity with an objective to maximize profits and a penalty for tardiness. This dissertation has solved the order acceptance and capacity planning problem for a job shop environment with multiple resources. Both regular and overtime resources is considered. The Branch-and-Price algorithms developed in this dissertation are faster and can be incorporated in a decision support system which can be used on a daily basis to help make intelligent decisions in a MTO operation.

Informações fornecidas pelo inventário florestal são importantes no planejamento de todo empreendimento florestal, pois subsidiam qualquer tomada de decisão envolvendo recursos florestais. Nesta pesquisa, utilizou-se o modelo de roteamento de veículos (PRV) no planejamento dessa atividade. O PRV e suas variantes vêm sendo amplamente estudados nos últimos anos, principalmente pela sua aplicabilidade e eficiência em gerar soluções apresentando redução de custo e/ou distâncias. O objetivo geral foi otimizar o planejamento da atividade de inventário florestal a partir de um modelo PRV e avaliar a importância do uso desta técnica no rendimento das atividades. In this thesis we consider a Time-Dependent Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (TDVRPTW) which is solved by a Branch and Cut and Price (BCP) algorithm. The decomposition of an arc based formulation leads to a set-partitioning problem as the master problem, and a Time-Dependent Elementary Shortest Path Problem with Resource Constraints (TDESPPRC) as the pricing problem. The main contribution of this thesis is the modified fathoming and bounding procedures applied on bi-directional Time-Dependent Labeling algorithm (TDL) which is used solve the TDESPPRC. The aim of the fathoming proposed is to solve TDVRPTW more efficiently by not extending the unproductive labels in bi-directional TDL algorithm. Moreover, an arc bounding model is introduced to stop the extension of labels as an alternative to resource bounding used in bi-directional search. In addition, independent from the work on TDVRPTW, the thesis includes an effects analysis of a new customer on Kuehne+Nagel(K+N) Netherlands Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and returns distribution network. This study focused on analyzing the current performance of the distribution network and evaluating the scenarios for K+N&rsquo<br>s future distribution network by a simulation study.

O objetivo desse trabalho é o de estudar o problema de programação de tarefas num ambiente produtivo com uma única máquina com data comum de entrega. Nesse caso, as tarefas, depois de processadas uma única vez na máquina, devem ser entregues em uma data comum e sofrem penalidades de adiantamento e de atraso conforme o instante em que são completadas. Na prática, esse problema é encontrado em casos de pedidos de lotes de produtos com data de entrega comum préespecificada, embarques para exportação e material químico ou misturas que têm vida média de curta duração. Problemas desse tipo são NP-hard (Hall, Kubiak & Sethi, 1991; Hoogeven & van de Velde, 1991), sendo comumente tratados na literatura através de heurísticas e meta-heurísticas. Visto não ser de nosso conhecimento a existência na literatura de tratamento desse problema através de métodos exatos, propôs-se a utilização de um algoritmo do tipo branch-and-bound para obtenção da solução ótima do problema que minimize a soma das penalidades de adiantamento e de atraso. No desenvolvimento do algoritmo, a utilização de propriedades do problema foi importante na elaboração de limitantes inferiores e regras de dominância que melhoraram a eficiência do modelo. Os experimentos realizados avaliaram o desempenho de diferentes critérios elaborados, como escolha do nó pai, limitante inferior, ordem de execução das estratégias e ordem de construção da seqüência. Os resultados obtidos mostraram-se robustos quando comparados com o benchmark da literatura e revelaram o bom desempenho do modelo para problemas de pequeno porte, superando o desempenho de programas de otimização comerciais.<br>The objective of this work is to study the single-machine scheduling problem with a common due date. In this case, jobs, after be processed only once in the machine, must be delivered in a common due date and they are penalized of earliness or tardiness according to their completion time. This problem is found in cases of batch production with prespecified common due date, exportation shipping and chemical material that has short half-life period. This kind of problem is NP-hard (Hall, Kubiak & Sethi, 1991; Hoogeven & van de Velde, 1991) and it has been treated in the literature by heuristics and meta-heuristics. Not having knowledge about previous treatment by exact methods in the literature, it was proposed the implementation of a branch-and-bound algorithm to obtain the optimal solution that minimizes the total weighted earliness and tardiness penalties. In the development of the algorithm, the utilization of problem properties was important to the elaboration of lower bounds and pruning rules that have enhanced the efficiency of the model. The realized tests have evaluated the performance of different criteria, like the choice of father node, lower bound, strategy execution order and sequence construction order. The obtained results have demonstrated robustness comparing to benchmark and they have revealed the good working of the model for small problems, overcoming optimization software performance.

Abstract:
In this study, we consider the disassembly problem of end-of-life (EOL) products for recovering valuable parts or assemblies. All parts obtained by disassembly processes of an EOL product may not be profitable due to their high recovery costs. Our problem is to select the parts to be released and determine the associated disassembly tasks so as to maximize the total profit. We first tackle the simple part selection problem, and then introduce a time constraint for the tasks to be performed for selected parts and search for incomplete time constrained sequences. We formulate our first problem as a Mixed Integer Problem and show that the constraint set of this formulation is totally unimodular. We also provide the dual formulation of our problem and its interpretation. For time-constrained part selection problem we propose a branch-and-bound algorithm. We first develop some reduction mechanism to reduce the size of the problem. Our solution procedure is capable of solving problems with up to 94 parts and tasks.

The subject of the thesis is to study the reasons why the GE Money Bank is not the most preferred provider of banking services from the client point of view. In the first part of the thesis, a theoretical basis will be established for the subsequent processing of practical knowledge. The second part is devoted to comparison of the GE Money bank and two other selected banks. The comparison includes areas such as bank product offers, the quality of the services offered on the Internet, Bank Branch and Customer Care Line. Subsequent findings are complemented with the results of marketing research. Finally, recommendations for GE Money Bank are set out, by implementation of those, the bank could become more preferred provider of banking services from the client point of view.

Dans le cadre de cette thèse, nous traitons le problème de flow-shop à deux machines avec temps de transport où l’objectif consiste à minimiser le temps de complétion maximal. Dans un premier temps, nous nous sommes intéressés à la modélisation de ce problème. Nous avons proposé plusieurs programmes linéaires en nombres entiers. En particulier, nous avons introduit une formulation linéaire basée sur une généralisation non triviale du modèle d’affectation pour le cas où les durées des opérations sur une même machine sont identiques. Dans un deuxième temps, nous avons élargi la portée de ces formulations mathématiques pour développer plusieurs bornes inférieures et un algorithme exact basé sur la méthode de coupe et branchement (Branch-and-Cut). En effet, un ensemble d’inégalités valides a été considéré afin d’améliorer la relaxation linéaire de ces programmes et d’accélérer leur convergence. Ces inégalités sont basées sur la proposition de nouvelles règles de dominance et l’identification de sous-instances faciles à résoudre. L’identification de ces sous-instances revient à déterminer les cliques maximales dans un graphe d’intervalles. En plus des inégalités valides, la méthode exacte proposée inclut la considération d’une méthode heuristique et d’une procédure visant à élaguer les nœuds. Enfin, nous avons proposé un algorithme par séparation et évaluation (Branch-and-Bound) pour lequel, nous avons introduit des règles de dominance et une méthode heuristique basée sur la recherche locale. Nos expérimentations montrent l’efficacité de nos approches qui dominent celles de la littérature. Ces expérimentations ont été conduites sur plusieurs classes d’instances qui incluent celles de la littérature, ainsi que des nouvelles classes d’instances où les algorithmes de la littérature se sont montrés peu efficaces<br>In this thesis, we study the two-machine flow-shop problem with time delays in order to minimize the makespan. First, we propose a set of Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) formulations for the problem. In particular, we introduce a new compact mathematical formulation for the case where operations are identical per machine. The proposed mathematical formulations are then used to develop lower bounds and a branch-and-cut method. A set of valid inequalities is proposed in order to improve the linear relaxation of the MIPs. These inequalities are based on proposing new dominance rules and computing optimal solutions of polynomial-time-solvable sub-instances. These sub-instances are extracted by computing all maximal cliques on a particular Interval graph. In addition to the valid inequalities, the branch-and-cut method includes the consideration of a heuristic method and a node pruning procedure. Finally, we propose a branch-and-bound method. For which, we introduce a local search-based heuristic and dominance rules. Experiments were conducted on a variety of classes of instances including both literature and new proposed ones. These experiments show the efficiency of our approaches that outperform the leading methods published in the research literature

碩士<br>東吳大學<br>法律學系<br>103<br>The thesis is mainly focus on comparison of the compulsory acknowledgement system before and after legislation amendment during 2007, especially on the key points and the relative problems after law amendment. Recently the improvement of the legal status over those illegitimate children has become a major subject of legislation in the world due to concentration on the rights of minor children. And the legal rules of the Compulsory Acknowledgement System has also become the key point of the legislation amendment. First of all, we discuss the development of the legal status among the illegitimate children, especially in France, Germany and Japan to realize their legislative evolutions on compulsory acknowledgement system, and compare that in our government to achieve the basic research on the topic. Second, we introduce the compulsory acknowledgement system before legislation amendment and the relative disadvantages, and focus on the four key points of the legislation amendment in 2007, including delete the lists of the reasons for compulsory acknowledgement , the limitation of the demanding time, and the rules about raising a plea for betrayal. Also in the amendment of Part Ⅳ of civil law in 2007,the legislator enact Article 1067Ⅱ, which enable the illegitimate children to file a claim against the father’s successors to get the legal status after the father’s death. Furthermore, we will discuss about the relative problems about the legislation amendment, such as the compulsory claim of the unborn child, the waiver of the claim, the relative influences on the jus acquisitum of the third parties, the compulsory claim to the living father by the illegitimate child after their death, the statute of limitation for claim after death, and so on. All the above problems may be considered to stipulate explicitly in the next legislation amendment. Finally, we will focus on property changes of the compulsory claim procedures before and after legislation amendment in 2007, and its stipulated explicitly due to the Taiwan Law of Domestic Violence Prevention Act. Also we will discuss the rules of the compulsory claim proceeding parties in both substantive and proceeding laws especially about the comparisons of the proceedings in both Civil procedure code and the Taiwan Law of Domestic. We should notice that there are variations over the proceeding rules about the parties in both substantive and proceeding rules, which may be suggested to be consistent in further legislation amendment in order for practical applications.

Abstract:
Many real-life problems can be modeled as optimization or decision problems on graphs. Also, many of those real-life problems are NP-hard. One traditional method to solve these problems is by branch and bound while another method is by graph decompositions. In the 1980's, Robertson and Seymour conceived of two new ways to decompose the graph in order to solve these problems. These ingenious ideas were only by-products of their work proving Wagner's Conjecture. A branch decomposition is one of these ideas. A paper by Arnborg, Lagergren and Seeseshowed that many NP-complete problems can be solved in polynomial time using divide and conquer techniques on input graphs with bounded branchwidth, but a paper by Seymour and Thomas proved that computing an optimal branch decomposition is also NP-complete. Although computing optimal branch decompositions is NP-complete, there is a plethora of theory about branchwidth and branch decompositions. For example, a paper by Seymour and Thomas offered a polynomial time algorithm to compute the branchwidth and optimal branch decomposition for planar graphs. This doctoral research is concentrated on constructing branch decompositions for graphs and using branch decompositions to solve NP-complete problems modeled on graphs. In particular, a heuristic to compute near-optimal branch decompositions is presented and the heuristic is compared to previous heuristics in the subject. Furthermore, a practical implementation of an algorithm given in a paper by Seymour and Thomas for computing optimal branch decompositions of planar graphs is implemented with the addition of heuristics to give the algorithm a "divide and conquer" design. In addition, this work includes a theoretical result relating the branchwidth of planar graphs to their duals, characterizations of branchwidth for Halin and chordal graphs. Also, this work presents an algorithm for minor containment using a branch decomposition and a parallel implementation of the heuristic for general graphs using p-threads.

This research takes the employee of the “A” financial holding company as sample, the evidence of this research is based on the entity questionnaire as to investigate a method. In this research, take back it valid the sample count to 420, and occupied at that time the population of 21.7%. Furthermore, this study’s confirmation used factor analysis, reliability analysis, χ2, and Independent samples t-test , and the result are as followed: 1. There is significant difference of different general manager leadership style on branch culture. When the general manager leadership style tends to transformation-transaction leadership, the rank of branch culture is (1)supportive culture (2)bureaucratic culture. When the general manager leadership style tends to laissez-faire style leadership, the rank of branch culture is (1)bureaucratic culture (2)supportive culture. 2. There is significant difference of different general manager leadership style on branch performance. The branch performance in growing organizations , transformation-transaction leadership is higher than laissez-faire style leadership . The branch performance in mature organizations , transformation-transaction leadership is higher than laissez-faire style leadership . 3. There is significant difference of different branch culture on branch performance. At present, we are not only devoted to our mission of TWC “A full supply of steady and reliable water, and stable price”, we are also striving toward being more diligent and efficient of our customer relationship management, and take” Service is the fundamental of our responsibilities” as our service orientation. The motivation and purpose of the research are discussing the service quality of TWC,and it is based on the users from the 10th Branch of TWC.the research was done through the PZB model presented by Parasuraman、Zeithaml &Berry(1985), analyzing the differences between the expectation, the perception and the satisfaction from tap water users in Taitung and the perspiration for service quality improvement from TWC workers, as well as our users opinions for TWC images, business operation and public communications. The result of the research will be the reference for TWC to improve the service quality, The research was done by using questionnaire survey. 622 questionnaires were provided and 622 effective questionnaires were returned. All the questionnaires were statistically analyzed by SPSS. The research shows that the service quality of TWC certainly has a lot of spaces for improvement. There are perceptional differences between users’ expectation for service quality and actual service experiences. After analyzing the research, there are nine subjects to evaluate the service quality for TWC. They are “Visibility”, “Reliability”, “Response”, “Dependency”, “Competency”, “Politeness”, “Safety”,” Communication”, and “Accessibility”. It proves that the expectation and perception for service quality from users are directly related to overall service satisfaction. The research is discussing about the relation between service qualities and customer satisfaction.Based on the theme of this research. Below are some suggestions for future further studies.1.To strengthen all emplovees’ on-job training about politeness. Service courtesy and customer complaints and to reinforce the bellef of “ Customers Firt”.2.Combining with educational institutions to teach the public the concept of users paying svstem.3.Building the professionalimage for TWC and focusing on marketing and e-commerce.4.To reduce staff working mistakes and to establish the single contact for “ customers service orented”. The main structure and assessment are based on the PZB conceptual mode of service quality and SERVQUAL evaluation form. Seven structural frames and thirty-five attributive items were utilized to investigate the differences of: (1) the service standards between the consumers’ perceptions and expectations of service quality (Gap 5 of PZB model); (2) TPC management’s recognition and consumers expectation to the standards of service quality (Gap 1 of PZB model); and (3) the analyses on the satisfaction based on variant population. It is found that: (1) There are significant differences between the TPC service quality recognized by the customers (satisfaction) and expected by the customers (expectation). The latter (expectation) is obviously lower than the former (satisfaction). Among the seven structural frames, the ‘Empathy aspect’ is lest respected by the customers, while the ‘Responsiveness aspect’ and ‘Product aspect’ are scaled as lest satisfactory by customers. As to the thirty-five attributive items, ‘power supply provided on time as applied’, ‘convenience in payment’, ‘the power off for TPC works can be regained as notified’, and ‘efficient repair for power supply’ are items considered by the customers to be comparatively important while dissatisfactory. (2) There are significant differences between the customers’ expectation and TPC management’s recognition on the service quality expected by the customers. It is unexpected that the latter is higher than the former. (3) On variances of population, there are no significant differences between the different situations or different ways of application, on the satisfaction of TPC’s service quality either in structural or attributive aspects. (4) On variances of population, there are significant differences to the service quality of TPC (satisfaction) from contractors practiced in different practice periods.

Banks occasionally employ frontier efficiency analyses to objectively identify best practices within their organizations. Amongst the frontier efficiency analyses identified in the literature, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was found to be one of the leading approaches. DEA has been successfully applied in many bank branch performance evaluations using traditional intermediation, profitability and production approaches. However, there has been little focus on assessing the growth potential of individual branches. This research presents six models that examine four perspectives of branch growth. Each model was applied to the branch network of one of Canada’s top five banks to gauge the growth potential of individual branches and to provide tailored improvement recommendations. Using various analysis methodologies, the results of each model were examined and their functionality assessed. Based on these findings, three models were deemed to produce significant results, while the remaining three failed to attain viable results.

The results work as important reference for the hospitals to improve their service quality. Furthermore, “Cultural and Creative Industry” is the main point in Taiwan’s development, this industry theme of café is fast-growing period recently, it usually focus on most young customer. This research is to know what are the cafe consumer groups’ feature and the reason why the place catch those customers’ eyes. The research uses the questionnaire survey procedure, look into the customers in Taichung two branch of “Caffaina Coffee Gallery ” , collected by field work and mail. One hundred and fifty valid questionnaires were returned. Significant results were as followed: The art café customers mostly are higher education young woman, located at twenty to twenty-eight tears old(46%), besides more than twenty-nine and forty-five years old consumer groups are not low(38%). The reasons why customers come to the café are “get together with family”(113times) and “enjoy the place atmosphere”(51times) . The important considers reasons are “atmosphere”(100times), “coffee(67times)” and “desserts”(59times). As the result, the art café not only attract to young consumer group but also other ages consumer groups. This research suggest the art café businessman can against to “woman”, cross age bracket”, “food” and “atmosphere” this four key points to manage and marketing.

博士<br>國立彰化師範大學<br>電機工程學系<br>107<br>This dissertation mainly proposes a symmetrical/asymmetrical Y-junction coupler with arc-bend branch structures to be used as a beam combiner and splitter so that the light generated by the sun or artificial light sources can be effectively combined and introduced into the room and then be appropriately split into all corners as auxiliary lighting. For the operation of this curved Y-junction coupler, this dissertation uses a ray-tracing theory to investigate the propagation characteristics of the beam in a curved optical waveguide. It is found that the alteration of the beam direction in a curved optical waveguide is equivalent to the reflection formed by a concave mirror. This simple concept is, therefore, used to derive an optimal arc structure for designing a symmetric/asymmetric Y-junction coupler with high coupling efficiency and concentrated beam-energy for general distributed lighting systems. In order to further investigate the beam combination/split efficiency generated by the Y-junction coupler and the beam intensity distribution at its exit, this dissertation uses an optical software to introduce the practical light source rays into the Y-junction coupler and perform ray tracing. So, the output-beam energy and distribution at the exit can be investigated, and the beam combination/split efficiency of the coupler and the outgoing beam angle can be calculated. The optical simulation results show that the Y-junction coupler has a coupling efficiency over 88%, whether used as a beam splitter or a combiner, and an energy-concentrated outgoing beam (i.e., a small beam angle). Therefore, it is advantageous for the outgoing beam to be transmitted in the subsequent optical waveguide, which greatly reduces the large fresnel loss caused by a large beam angle. In addition, under the same coupling conditions, i.e., the fixed branch length and the same cross angle of branches, the curved Y-junction coupler of this dissertation, as compared with the traditional linear Y-junction coupler, can have a smaller and smooth taper angle in the two-branch overlapping area and thus has higher splitting or combining efficiency. Meanwhile, the optical simulation results show that these two Y-junction couplers with different structures will have a larger difference in coupling efficiency between each other when the cross angle of branches becomes larger (over 20%). In addition to the use of a single arc-bend branch structure to construct the Y-junction coupler, this paper further uses two arc structures of the same (or different) size to form a S-shaped structure in series for constructing various multi-junction couplers with S-shaped branch structures, which can be applied to a more complex distributed lighting system.

The main objectives are listed as following four points: First of all, understanding the current situation of teachers’ feeling and recognition toward school’s merging and working pressure. Secondly, exploring the connection between merging and working pressure. Thirdly, analyzing the school’s merging recognition and working pressure from the teachers with different backgrounds. Lastly, making the conclusion result and offering suggestions. This research applies investigation research method and accommodates the subject or class teachers from 2007 Taitung county’s public elementary school’s branch and adopts compulsory investigation. The first part of research paper is “ The recognition questionnaire of elementary school teachers toward implementing small-scale school’s merging” which was made by myself. The second part is “Elementary school’s working pressure diagram”. The questionnaire information will go through statistic analysis by the t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson. Moreover, inducing the main discovery to make the conclusion and referring consolidate suggestions. The main conclusions are listed as follows: 1. Taitung county’s small-scale elementary branch’s teachers’ recognition of school’s merging apparently reach remarkable standard. (1)Branch teachers’ recognition toward merging shows only low-level standard. (2)Main school teachers’ recognition toward merging shows mid-level standard. 2. The recognition level toward merging is positive related with working pressure level. 3. The elementary teachers with different ages whose recognition toward merging reach remarkable difference, in the direction of school community. The teachers’ age between 41-45 years old have better recognition than those teachers under 30. 4. The recognition level toward small-scale school’s merging on the elementary teachers with different school’s background. (1) Main school’s elementary teachers’ recognition level toward merging are superior than branch teachers. (2) Ordinary area’s teachers are above than remote area’s teachers. 5. Different background variation’s elementary teachers’ pressure in small-scale school, the teachers are over 50 or service years over 20 show the lowest level in integrated working pressure scale. According to above research results, we would address suggestion to related educational administration units, elementary teachers and future researches. In order to make practicable fundamental obligatory education and set workable small-scale merging mechanism. Furthermore, avoiding mixing up policy ,reducing teachers’ working pressure, enhancing educational proficiency and keeping both physical and mental health. It could be the reference of further step research.

The oil supply line was priority for Japan from the beginning to the end of the war. The line included a series of actions. First is occupying the south. Then construct and repair oil facilities. Finally transport oil to island Japan. The strategy was fueling the war by war. Japan authority built Sixth Navy Fuel Plant which is one of many navy factories built during the Japanese colonial period in Taiwan. The construction increased navy strength by producing aviation gasoline and lubrication. The main facility in Kaohsiung was succeed by CPC after the war. Though it was severely damaged, it kept operating till nowadays after repair and renovation. These construction and factories were indeniable mark and witness of the role of Taiwan in the war, and also one of the few military fuel industry factoris in Taiwan. Many deeds about Sixth Navy Fuel Plant remains unknown and seldom research was done even after half of a century from Taiwan Retrocession. This research focus on investigating the development of Sixth Navy Fuel Plant from the beginning to the end.

There are many life experiences happen in years, it advises that the love of environments and actions would be potentially enhanced if we identify the SLE. Through Environmental Education (EE) learning might be a possible way to cultivate citizens’ environmental minding. Moreover, the environment-cared citizens would be willing to help to protect the environments. Through semi-structured interviews and documentary analysis, this research analyzes the SLE, the motivations, the spiritual paths and the difficulties of participating the environmental activities from major participants who join the Homemakers’ Union and Foundation (HUF) Taichung branch. The results show that the participants possessing the “nature and humanities experience” in childhood (71%) and joining environmental group (62%) and principles (48%) during adulthood. The HUF Taichung Branch involvement’s motivations for the major participants are " Social indicators characters", "Self-learning and growth", "Environmental pollution Dissatisfaction and worry", "Social care and sense of mission," "Philosophy identity", "Relatives or friends", "environmental protection and education information obtained " and " Occupation". The influence of participation in Taichung branch to the personal, family and community have a positive effect. The results also reveal some coming problems in HUF Taichung branch is the inconsistency ideas of members, the lack of manpower and professions, the temporary shortage of well-trained personnel, the delay of management system and inefficiency, etc. The analyzed results suggest that the EE could be process "nature experience planning "associated with the courses during elementary school. EE could be integrated into school curriculum in all areas during junior high school to cultivate the environmental citizen. Environmental groups through various seminars, conduct EE activities to raise environmental participation. As the organizational identification, peer support, self-ambition, environmental pollutions, social responsibility and justice, the issue most associated with life can sustain the experimental subjects to keep on participating. Therefore, the potential way to solve problem of HUF is increasing the member’s organizational identification and honor of being part of member that help to improve the group cohesion. Building up better professional training and the marketing capability of HUF through passing cultural cohesion, strengthening the horizontal communication, personnel training, disseminating the ideas and managing organizational performance, using media and marketing capabilities are also good for HUF.

Through the hierarchical regression analysis, we can find the relationship between the variables available to predict, to develop a set of effective organizational management system, to provide useful information. For the state-owned enterprises to be or to carry out privatization organizations, it can enhance employee satisfaction and business performance, provide valuable information. In this study, personality traits are divided into three aspects: Diligence due diligence, outgoing and optimism, emotional stability; work motivation is divided into two aspects intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation; job satisfaction is a facet of overall job satisfaction; with the self-report scale, Chunghwa Telecom Kaohsiung branch office staff serving as testing objects. In this study, the questionnaires of network survey were sent to 543 people, the recovery of 320 copies were valid for 318 copies, and the effective rate was 58.6%. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS20.0 statistical system, and the hypotheses were verified by descriptive statistics, mean value, standard deviation, t test, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression. The results of the study are as follows: 一、 The telecom staff personality traits show a positive trend, and they are most concerned about diligence. 二、 The work of the telecom staff motivation shows a positive trend, but between the inner and outer did not reveal significant differences. 三、 The staff background of personality traits, work motivation and job satisfaction has varying degrees of impact. 四、 The telecom personnel personality traits, work motivation and job satisfaction have a good correlation. 五、 The telecom personnel personality traits, work motivation and job satisfaction have to explain and predict. The privatization of state owned enterprises has its professionalism and particularity. It is recommended follow-up researchers interested in similar topics. The researchers are from cultural differences of different units, positions, work environment, administrative leadership or staff interaction, can get more further discussion (such as qualitative research), rather than change in scale. The contents of credit risk management at Maritime bank, Hai Duong branch cover the three main elements that are policy, people and implementation. The research results showed each component’s effects on the credit risk management. The effects credit policy has on the risk management are from the regulation imposed by the State agencies and the one issued by the commercial bank. The people element that comprises of three dimensions: quality, quantity and professional ethics has been proven to relate to the third factor – implementation that includes coordination at work and regulation on the implementing process. The research results helped to give some recommendations for enhancing the quality of credit risk management before specifying its limitations. Generally, an optical fiber illumination system usually needs to combine multiple light-source beams into one beam or divide one beam into multiple beams, and the used beam combining or splitting elements are usually the Y-junction coupler. In previous researches, most of couplers were designed and fabricated with a single material of step-index (SI) fibers; however, the efficiency of the couplers is declined due to the susceptibility of a taper region formed by multi-branch stacks. Therefore, this thesis uses a MSI plastic optical fiber (POF), which is similar to a graded-index (GRIN) fiber having property of self-focus, to design the Y-junction coupler and improve the light loss caused by the taper region so that the coupling efficiency can be increased, the output beam-angle becomes more convergent, and the size of the coupler is greatly reduced. Optical simulation results show that the combining and splitting efficiencies of the MSI-POF Y-junction coupler designed in this thesis can reach 74 and 85%, respectively, and corresponding minimum output half-beam angles can be respectively reduced to 67 and 45% of the original half source-beam angle. As compared with a high efficient SI-POF Y-junction coupler, the MSI-POF Y-junction coupler has good coupling efficiency even at a smaller bending radius, and the associated convergence angle is less than that of the SI-POF coupler even up to 78% that the volume of the coupler can be greatly reduced.

Therefore, it is necessary to know the satisfaction of service of High-Voltage customers of Tai-Power. This research is based on the PZB model with 5 GAP for the questionnaire called “ The Research of High Voltage User Service Quality-The Case of Taiwan Power Company Feng Shan Branch.” 40% of valid questionnaires returned. We use the theory of “Quantification theory type I” to build the service satisfaction model of Tai-Power of Feng Shan Branch. 一、The results show that the Difference of service quality, Understandability, Competence of the GAP5 and Competence of the technicality of the GAP3 are satisfactory. 二、And other results show that the Difference of service performance, Coordinate collaboration, Contradiction of roles, Controls of Monitoring are unsatisfactory. As to the analysis of the data of those High-Voltage customers of Tai-Power, we find out that more than 80% of the consumers, including the metalworking industry, the chemical industry, the foodstuff industry and others, had over 501KW contract of power consuming more than 11 years. There is a notable significance of this study for predicting the satisfaction of service of High-Voltage customers of Tai-Power. This study can calculate the satisfaction of service quality of high voltage consumers with “Quantification theory type I.” Therefore, it can predict or evaluate the service quality of Tai-Power Feng Shan Branch.

According to an article published in 2004 by the INC. 500 magazine, 18 human resource service providers were chosen to be the most fast growing corporation in the US, in the mean time the Fortune 500 and Forbes 500 corporations listings both had human resource business process outsourcing firms listed inside. This research focuses on successful human resource service providers in Taiwan, the main objective will be finding out what current environment are they facing and what kinds of corporate resources do they possess to cope with their business operational needs. Using these findings as the basis, we employ the Transaction Cost Theory to do further analyze in their competitive and strategy model. Further more, by applying these strategies what economical profit can the service provider bring to there customers. In this research, we use a case study approach and employ the in-depth interview technique which includes five global human resource service provider’s Taiwan branch as are research sample. Moreover, by using domestic and international references as auxiliaries, we can draw out the business model of the human resource service providers. The inference of this thesis is that corporate resources and brand can decrease the transaction cost triggered by outsourcing activities, and by decreasing transaction cost the service providers can establish trusting and cooperative relationships more successfully. When trusting relationships are in place, service providers can deliver more added value and economic profits based on their originally service content. Last but not least, by absorbing the feedback from satisfied customers, human resource service providers can accumulate solid professional knowledge and increase brand value.

In addition, the aspects of the working of volunteers’ system, details of their service, the incentive system, the educational training, and how they are managed also examined. The developing tactics of volunteers in the future, including SWOT analysis, feasibility analysis, and index of sustainable development, will also be discussed in this study.     This research method applied was Qualitative Research, in which research data were collected from archives, in-depth interview and participant observation to collect research data. Then research data were arranged and analyzed so as to understand the TPC volunteers’ basic qualities, their past experiences of being volunteers, and how the system of volunteers in the company work.     The result of the study show that : (1) The percentage of male volunteers in TPC enterprise is 55.71%, while the percentage of female volunteers is 73.3%, (2) volunteers’ age ranging from 51 to 60 is 48.57%, (3) 68.57% of the volunteers’ education level is college graduate, (4) the ratio of married volunteers is 90%, (5) 65.71% of the volunteers are civil servants or teachers, (6) 61.43% of the volunteers have a religious faith, (7) 27.14% of the volunteers’ monthly average income ranges from 30001to 50000, (8) 72.86% of the volunteers lives with their spouse and children, (9) 87.14% of the volunteers feel themselves healthy, (10) 78.57% of the volunteers’ weekly service is below 4 hours, (11)68.57% of the volunteers have no experience with clubs, (12)77.14% of the volunteers’ experience about TPC volunteers is less than 2 years.     We propose several suggestions: (1) The situation of service performance influenced by volunteers with physical problems should be avoided. (2) Evaluation about detailed projects and manpower requirement are needed before the recruiting of volunteers. (3) Volunteers will be better recruited from TPC retired employees. (4) Properly planned education and training to volunteers are highly suggested. (5)Praise and encouragement should be put into practice, (6) Fair system for assessment should be built up, (7) The motivation of volunteers for service should be taken seriously. (8) More activities, such as visiting other organizations, are needed. (9)Setting up the system of volunteers with sustainability and efficiency. (10) The volunteers should be kept.

The study found patterns for visiting guests visit tourists patterns, the main tourist information learned through the media, friends and family self-drive to the most common, and the main purpose of the visit is for leisure and entertainment. In addition, visitors also found that explain services and satisfaction, between tourist satisfaction and loyalty has a positive relationship, and between tourist satisfaction and loyalty correlation is quite modest. Finally, according to research results, the practical recommendations and follow-up research proposals.

The objects of this study are customers of Taiwan Cooperative Bank—an acquiring branch and a common branch in Changhua City. 350 questionnaires were given to customers, and 235 of these were returned. The effective retrieve rate is 67%. Following were the findings: 1. As for customer satisfaction, there was a significant difference between acquiring and acquired branch. 2. As for customer satisfaction perception, there was a significant difference between acquiring branch and common branch. 3. As for caring about service quality and satisfaction perception, there was a significant difference between acquiring branch and common branch. 4. As for the degree of customer satisfaction perception, the acquiring branch won the first, the common branch won the second, and the acquired branch won the third. 5. Four measuring dimensions were extracted by means of factor analysis: Factor 1-- Protection & Convenience Factor 2 --Interaction & Attractiveness Factor 3 -- Accuracy & Location Factor 4 -- Appearance & Etiquette 6. Among demographic variables (1) Customers of the acquiring branch (a) The degree of caring about service quality: Gender and level of education had significant effect on the perception of service quality. In contrast, age, income, and frequencies to the bank had little influence on it. (b) The degree of satisfaction perception of service quality: Gender had significant effect on satisfaction perception of service quality. While age, level of education, income, and frequencies to the bank had little effect on it. (2) Customers of the common branch (a) Gender, age, level of education, income, and frequencies to the bank had no significant effect on the perception of service quality. (b) Gender had significant effect on satisfaction perception of service quality. Age, level of education, income, and frequencies to the bank had no influence on it. Following were some suggestions for the acquiring bank to improve the customer satisfaction(CS): 1. Managers should motivate employees to establish customer-oriented corporate culture. 2. Managers should better understand both the strength of the acquired branch and the core competence of the acquiring branch to implement CS “synergy”. 3. The front-line bank employees should try to give “positively outrageous service” beyond customers’ expectation to gain unique competitive advantage. 4. Emphasizing on promoting female CS. 5. Adjusting CS improving strategies to meet customers’ need and the moves of competitors.

Through the media, it will help promote the concept of the social responsibilities to the public. (2) The main reason for adopting cause-related marketing in Yulin Branch Office is due to its low cost and high promotion efficiency. It will draw people’s attentions and interests to get involved in the public welfares. (3) Through the application of the cause-related marketing, it will cooperate step by step with other organization. (4) The personnel are the main key factor for success. Do victims really have any rights in the modern society? Normally we wouldn't think about it until one of our friends or family members was in the position. At the time, not only was the concern raised in the UK, in various other countries the issue was discussed. The criminal juridical balance started to move from favoring the assailant to the mid-ground. There were efforts made in many countries to design laws and legal systems to protect the victims and their families. In this study, we use the resource integration method to analyze the shortcomings of the execution of policies regarding the protection of the victims and possible ways of improvement. The suggestions to the policy-making are listed as follows. When significant social security events happen, positively emphasize the importance of the Association for Victims Support, and the victims need to have the courage to speak out. Create a standardized operation procedure and reinforce the training (via the victim protection booklet for example) of front-line personnel in the "program for better protection of victims" such as prosecutors in local court, the special operation team of the national immigration agency which deals with human trafficking, police officers, emergency medical technicians, social workers, the mediation committee members and volunteer workers. Increase protection measures for victims. Recognize and enhance the juridical position of victims. We suggest to exempt the compensation claims for crime victims, and to compensate instead with fixed payment to the victims or their surviving dependents. Another suggestion is to replace the compensation claims for victims by social assistance, or from the fine from the assailant; and if the fine is not enough for the victim compensation, we suggest to lower the compensation amount, or to fill the gap by the government or through a fund-raising campaign. We also suggest that the local district prosecutors office apply to the national property administration to provide free offices for the association for victims support. We propose to reinvest the surplus from one of the social enterprises to enhance the flexibility and service items of the Nantou branch of the victims support association. We recommend to strengthen the functionality of the administration committee for the different branches, to hold the "conference for policies for the protection of crime victims" every year, to better utilize available volunteer manpower, and to provide volunteers with more in-depth and practical training. As the next step, we plan to study the implications to increase the functionality of the administration committee of the local branches of the victims support association, as well as the possibility to enhance the managing of volunteers, and to establish a one-stop integrated customer service for all resources for the protection of victims.

That’s why our country tried to get away from the damage from Opium, but unfortunately caused Opium War. Nowadays, drug abuse has become a global problem. According tot he statistics of Ministry of Justice Jan-Sep in 103 , the total quantity of drugs caughted amounted to 3826 kilograms. The damage drugs caused to the society is still going on and has not yet ceased. I have been taking part in the religious education for the people receiving rehabilitation treatment in prisons for nearly twenty years. All these years, I have been devoted to the drug prevention, hoping to seek a better way beneficial for the drug abusers and help them to start up their new life.   In this research, I make use of the techniques of mindfulness combined with Tea-Chan in religious education for drug addicts in Rehab Institution. A twelve-week course named “Life of mindfulness” is designed to establish new pattern of life for the drug addicts. This course includes learning the techniques of mindfulness and experiencing Tea-Chan. Eighteen drug addicts joined in the course. They were all volunteers and accepted to join in this course after interviews one by one. In the course, participants first learned the techniques of mindfulness, then kept mindfulness diaries and in the last made use of all the techniques they had learned in so-called “Tea-Chan exhibition”. In this way, I helped them to deepen their impressions of mindfulness and planted the mindfulness seedling in their hearts. This research was intended to find out: 1) whether mindfulness could change the habitual life pattern of the participants, 2) in what aspect they changed themselves, 3) how mindfulness was applied to drug addicts in religious education, 4) the application and effects of Tea-Chan Exhibition, and 5) finally the feasibility study mindfulness was applied to the education of drug addicts in prisons.   After this course, I analysed all the data collected in this course and found that if mindfulness diaries could be continued for a longer period of time, the participants could reach sobhanasadharana mentioned in《Abhidharma》:kayapassaddhi、citta-Passaddhi、kayalahuta、citta-lahuta、kaya-muduta、citta-muduta、kaya-kammaññata、citta-kammaññata、kaya-paguññata、citta-paguññata、kayujjukata、cittujjukata and could go on to viraticetasika:sammavaca、sammakammanto、samma-ajivo, and that may be the key point for them to get away from drugs after they get out of prisons in the future. My suggestions are: 1)mindfulness can be used to raise mental and physical levels of drug addicts, 2)mindfulness can lead to new life of eight Noble Truths, and 3) we should plan to promote “New Life of Mindfulness” widely.

The samples consist of 8 crew member working shift duty in Zuoying Rolling Stock Branch. It was adopted by in-depth interview of qualitative research method. And in-depth interview, and integrate and analyze the data. Expected findings can advise on the management of Taiwan Railway Administration class machine maintenance crews and road safety. 1. The effect in Quality of Life to worker doing the shift work: They stated that the effect in mental, physical and relationship between their family and friends are the following: Biological clock disorder makes the sleep-disorder, and then causes organ disorder, physical strength weakness, unfocused, family relationship stagnation and isolation, and lacking in opportunity of social activities. 2. The stresses of work are mainly from the working environment: noise, particle, stuffiness, safety. And mental and physical status: age, number of served years, academic background, marriage status, position, physical condition, management style. The reasons Mentioned are probably bring the stress to the crew members. 3. Stress of work negatively affects the Quality of Life: the higher stress, the lower Quality of Life satisfaction. The members are under strict training, higher working expectation. The consciousness toward Quality of Life under stresses of work is affected directly. 4. The strategies of members toward the Stress of life are mainly using positive way like [seeking help], [facing problem], and [rational thinking]. Survey candidates all think when facing stress and find no way escape. Make sure what the problem is, seek the possible solution, and bravely face it.Finish the problem and release the stress.

In recent years, the number of local banks has grown more and more in Taiwan. As of the end of January 2017, there were 411 financial institutions have been in operation in the country. Under such a fierce competition environment, the spreads is reduced in traditional deposits. In order to create more profits to maintain profitability, each bank pressed the wealth management business to satisfy the keening on financial concepts of countrymen. In this paper, this SWOT analysis gives a reference to the Taiwan cooperative bank of Hualien Branch which is operated for the future. The study obtained the following conclusions: First, the advantages (S): 1. The quality and the efficiency of the operation procedure 2. First, the 3G smart phone usages have increased phenomenally in recent years, the mobile banking is still underused. Thus, there is a need to understand how to promote the mobile banking to increase its penetration. Second, past research consistently found that financial service sector is more customer centric than other sectors and the profits generated from old customers are much higher than from new customers. Therefore, understanding what influences customers to use mobile banking from offline banking and stay with same bank instead of switch to a new bank will significantly help banks to executive their strategies. In this study, the first bank to use Mobile Banking user to study the mother, so the first bank user questionnaire distribution, total recovery of 388 valid questionnaires. The results of this study found that product quality to customer satisfaction has a positive correlation, service quality has a positive correlation to customer satisfaction, business line, as there is a positive correlation to customer satisfaction. Based on results of this study, this study provides the first bank with reference to the Company.
