Abstract:

"Die schmale Brücke" ist eine Dreiecksgeschichte, die das Ringen zweier ungleicher Männer um eine junge Frau schildert. Der fleißige und solide Mittelschulrektor Peter Hansen, der unter der Kinderlosigkeit und Kälte seiner Frau leidet, trifft nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg seinen "Jugendfeind", den redegewandten, bei den Damen hoch beliebten Werner Hagemann wieder, welcher im Zug die Lehrerin Ursula Wüstenhagen kennengelernt hat, eine Kollegin Peter Hansens, in die dieser sich verliebt hat. In schwüler Gesprächsatmosphäre entwickelt sich eine Rivalität, die zunehmend bedrohliche Züge annimmt. Mordgedanken keimen auf. Schließlich fordert Peter Hansen, auf ein Gottesurteil hoffend, Werner Hagemann zu einem lebensgefährlichen Kräftemessen auf einer Brücke auf. Die Erzählung ist das einzige Werk von F. E. Peters, das im Lehrermilieu spielt. Verwoben mit der spannungsreichen Dreiecksbeziehung sind Themen der Frauenemanzipation und modernen Pädagogik sowie zahlreiche literarische Reminiszenzen an den "Zauberberg" oder auch an Goethe und Hölderlin, insbesondere in der zentralen Frage der "Schicksalswürdigkeit". Der ursprünglich von Peters gewählte Titel ("Der Schicksalswürdige") wurde auf Wunsch des Verlages in "Die schmale Brücke" geändert.

Das Zentrum für angewandte Forschung und Technologie (ZAFT e.V.) an der HTW Dresden unterstützt in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der HTW Dresden Wissenschaftler bei der Projektakquisition und dem Projektmanagement für Forschungsprojekte, fördert die Kontaktanbahnung zu Unternehmen und Verbänden und berät zu relevanten Förderprogrammen sowie zu Patent- und Verwertungsaspekten. Besonders kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen (KMU) sind auf wirksame Kooperationen mit der Wissenschaft im Bereich der Vorlaufforschung angewiesen, wenn es darum geht, die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit mittels innovativer Produkte, Verfahren und Dienstleistungen nachhaltig zu gewährleisten. An Hand von zwei Projekten aus den Bereichen Energieeinsparung und Analytik wird auf Arbeitsschwerpunkte des Forschungszentrums hingewiesen.

Abstract:

En Allemagne, au début du vingtième siècle, le sentiment religieux constitue pour les artistes du « Brücke» un moyen de s'opposer à ce qu'ils perçoivent comme un désenchantement du monde. Dans un contexte historique favorable à l'émergence de mouvements de réenchantement dans la société, dans un contexte artistique de naissance des avant- gardes, le groupe développe à Dresde, Berlin, sur les rivages de la Mer du Nord et de la Baltique une utopie. Elle est fondée sur des expériences communautaires hédonistes à travers lesquelles les artistes s'identifient à « Adam », symbole d'une humanité antérieure au péché originel et à la corruption de la civilisation occidentale moderne par la rationalisation. Les artistes souhaitent aussi se faire « chamanes », développant des formes d'expression en correspondance avec celles des peuples extra-européens, dont ils perçoivent l'adéquation au contenu. En tant que « prophètes », dans les temps apocalyptiques de la première guerre mondiale, ils retournent à une iconographie chrétienne traditionnelle, adaptant ses symboles à une nouvelle forme de transcendance, d'inspiration partiellement protestante. Leurs divinisations de l'homme, de la nature et de l'art répondent aux attentes de leurs contemporains. Elles sont également instrumentalisées par certains acteurs des milieux artistiques, politiques et même religieux allemands.

Abstract:

„800 Millionen Euro für Schulen, Straßen, Sportstätten und ÖPNV“ konnte man im Februar 2016 einer Pressemitteilung der sächsischen Staatsregierung entnehmen. Von Investitionen, welche „direkt vor Ort in Sachsens Städten und Gemeinden spürbar sein [sollen]“, war auf der Homepage der CDU-Fraktion Sachsen die Rede. Sachsens Ministerpräsident Tillich sprach von einem Konjunkturpaket mit „Einmaligkeitscharakter“, CDU-Fraktionschef Frank Kupfer vom größten Sonderprogramm in der Geschichte des Landes Sachsen. Bei diesem Paket handelt es sich um das Investitionsprogramm „Brücken in die Zukunft“, welches der Freistaat Sachsen auf Grundlage des Gesetzes zur Stärkung der kommunalen Investitionskraft aufgesetzt hat. Die finanziellen Mittel sollen demnach den sächsischen Kommunen zur Finanzierung von Infrastrukturprojekten zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

Abstract:

This thesis examines how Ernst Ludwig Kirchner reconceived the female nude within the two contexts of Expressionism and the German nudist movement. In particular, it looks to Kirchner’s early paintings, executed between 1909 and 1914, of female nudes in landscape settings to determine how Kirchner operated within and departed from the conventions of the female nude. This thesis challenges the feminist critique of Expressionist painting and Kirchner’s female nudes. It also examines how Kirchner’s female nudes in landscapes are complicated by the early twentieth-century development of German nudism. While these paintings are often categorized as bathers following nineteenth-century French precedent, they in fact are unique products of die Brücke philosophy.

Abstract:

This work examines the role of private elites in addition to public actors in West German-American relations in the post-World War II era and thus joins the ranks of the “new diplomatic history” field. It studies the Atlantik Brücke and the American Council on Germany (ACG) from the early 1950s to the mid-1970s – a history that has hitherto been neglected. The focus on private elites and their contributions to fledgling public-private networks within each country and across the Atlantic helps to shed light on the ways hostilities between West Germany and the US were addressed. Based on original archival research and applying tools of Social Network Analysis (SNA), this thesis starts from the assumption that international relations are conducted by elites. These elites are not only composed of democratically legitimized politicians and diplomats. Private actors representing business, industry, media, and academia are also involved, albeit hidden from public scrutiny. Private actors are enabled to do so because they are integral parts of dense state-private networks. The state-private network concept is innovatively transferred to the transnational level. The network term emphasises the fact that those connections are neither limited in quantitative terms nor are they confined to national boundaries. The analysis illuminates three sustainable achievements of the ACG and Atlantik-Brücke. Firstly, they contributed to forging a bipartisan foreign policy consensus at whose core has been a strong West-German-American relationship. Key in achieving this was the redirection of West German Social Democracy away from anti-militarism, neutralism, and socialism. Secondly, in fulfilling an elite coordination function, the organisations helped to secure the transatlantic partnership consensus by conveying it into business, trade and 2 industry circles in the US as well as in West Germany. Thirdly, by utilizing their manifold links to media and academia they assisted in manifesting this consensus in public discourse.

Les Fauves et die Brücke, à l'image d'autres artistes d'Europe avant 1914, révélèrent les « arts primitifs » venant d'Océanie, d'Afrique et d'Amérique. En décentrant le regard porté jusque-là sur l'art, ils mirent en crise les représentations artistiques dominantes en Europe : elles ne relevaient que d'un modèle culturel de figuration de la nature. Dans cet écart, ils firent apparaître l'Autre de l'art : ils imposèrent par leur création de nouvelles visions esthétiques et culturelles et intégrèrent le « primitivisme » dans les discours sur l'art moderne. En cela, ils témoignent des sensibilités de leur temps, l'« art primitif », l'« Orient », correspondant à des catégories imaginaires pour évoquer l'Autre de l'art. Ils contribuèrent cependant à modifier les représentations de leurs contemporains, en montrant que l'art n'était pas l'apanage de l'Occident et en plaçant sur un pied d'égalité les cultures européenne et « primitive ». En amont, ces transferts asiatiques se sont opérés grâce à des passeurs culturels - tels Aby Warburg, Franz Boas, Leo Frobenius ou Augustin Krämer ayant transmis ces objets en Europe et étudié l'art des peuples dits « primitifs », la naissance de l'ethnologie s'inscrivant dans un contexte colonial. Les trajectoires du regards des Fauves et de die Brücke sont communes pour l'art africain, croisées pour l'art océanien, la reconnaissance de l'art amérindien restant une spécificité allemande avant 1914. En aval, leur création artistique manifeste une hybridation des transmissions culturelles, visible dans les emprunts stylistiques, dans leurs pratiques artistiques et même dans leur mode de vie pour die Brücke
The Fauves and the Brücke enlightened the art of "the Primitive Artists" from Oceania, Africa and America. Transforming the western vision of art, they activated a crisis among the prevailing usual artistic manners in Europe which, according to them, were just another way to depict the Nature. In that distance they revealed the Art's Other : they imposed by their creations a new aesthetic and cultural vision and they did create and moreover added the word "Primitivism" when they discoursed on the Modern art. Thereby these Artists represented a certain way of feeling and the following expressions such as, "Negro art", "Primitive Art", "Orient", corresponding to imaginary categories used to put a label on the Art's Other. They nonetheless contributed to change their contemporarie's mentalities in showing that art was not the privilege of the sole western countries, and in placing on an equal level European and "Primitive" cultures. On the one hand, these artistic transfers were helped by "boatmen" such as Aby Warburg, Franz Boas, Leo Frobenius or Augustin Krämer who brought these objects to Europe and studied art of the "Primitive" peoples, the birth of ethnology being linked to the colonial context. The Fauves and the artists of die Brücke shared a common way to look at African Art while their perspectives crossed concerning Oceanian Art, but the German were the only one to recognize Native American Art as an Art before 1914. On the other hand their artistic creation shows an hybridization of cultural transmissions, noticeable their stylistic borrowings, in their artistic practices and even in their way of life as far as die Brücke is concerned

Abstract:

Zusammenfassung: Die vorliegende Arbeit lässt sich thematisch in drei Bereiche gliedern. Der erste Teil handelt von der Synthese stark elektronenziehender Ligandensysteme und deren Umsetzung zu Metallocendichloriden. Es zeigt sich, dass die Umsetzung von pentafluorbenzolhaltigem Cyclopentadien, Inden oder Fluoren mit Silizium-Verbindungen nicht zu der gewünschten Reaktion zu Si-verbrücken Systemen führen, sondern, dass sich andersartige Si-F-Moleküle bilden. Zugängliche, unverbrückte Komplexe zeigen im besonderen eine geringe Stabilität im Vergleich zu nicht-C6F5-haltigen Metallocenen. Die Hauptthematik der Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Synthese von in 2-Position funktionalisierter sowie verbrückter Indene und deren Umsetzung zu Metallocenkomplexen. Hierbei interessiert vor allem der sterische Einfluss der am Ligandensystem sitzenden Gruppen. Die Darstellung der Inden-2-verbrückten Indene erstreckt sich über eine Bromaddition, thermodynamische Freisetzung von HBr, Grignard-Reaktion und anschließender Brückenbildung mit Cyclopentadien- und tert.Butylamineinheiten. Weiterer Bestandteil dieses Abschnitts ist die Umsetzung der synthetisierten Moleküle zu Metallocenverbindungen. Dabei werden auf diesem Wege Sandwich- bzw. Halbsandwich-Komplexe in guter Ausbeute erhalten. Der dritte Bereich beschäftigt sich mit der Umsetzung von Titan-4-chlorid gegenüber unterschiedlichern Trimethylsilyl-substituierten Indenen. Durch Substitution eines Chloratoms durch eine Phenolatgruppe erhält man die Indenyldichlortitanphenolate.

Abstract:

The present PhD thesis deals with the synthesis and characterization of functionalized ferrocenes with up to four aldehyde and vinyl groups and their usage as monomers to produce novel ferrocene-based oligomers with conjugated backbones via ADMET (acyclic diene metathesis) and HWE (Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons) reaction protocols. In addition, ferrocene-containing polymers (linear, cross-linked and co-polymers) with aliphatic backbones generated by anionic bulk and solution polymerization routes, and their electrochemistry behaviors were studied. The main aspects of this work lies in the enhancement of the electrical properties of the ferrocene-based materials (oligomers or polymers) by varying the polymer backbone, providing multi-functionalities for cross-linking and co-polymerization processes and thereby increasing the molecular weight of the products, furthermore, the application as electro-active materials, especially for the charge storage purposes is discussed. High monomer consumption, relatively high molar mass as well as longer chains were achieved by bulk protocol. Electrochemical measurements (CV) reveals that formyl-ferrocenes bearing more than two formyl functionalities are very electron poor materials and easily decomposes upon oxidation. Reducing the measurement temperature and the usage of [NnBu4][B(C6F5)4] as electrolyte allowed for reliable behavior. A linear correlation between the redox potential and the number of the formyl functionalities was found. Multicyclic measurements showed that ferrocenyl / ferrocenium redox couples in the polymeric materials are stable at least up to 100 cycles. The spectro-electrochemical studies show that the conjugated materials (oligomers) have electron transfer interactions (IVCT) through the chains, while the aliphatic backbone between the ferrocenyl units (poly vinylferrocene materials) hindered the metal-metal coupling along the chain and only a ligand-to-metal charge transfer excitation could be observed
Die vorliegende Doktorarbeit beschäftigt sich mit Synthese und Charakterisierung von funktionalisierten Ferrocenen mit bis zu vier Aldehyd- und Vinylgruppen und ihrer Verwendung als Monomere für neuartige ferrocenbasierte Oligomere mit konjugiertem Rückgrat unter ADMET (acyclic diene metathesis) und HWE- (Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons) Reaktionsbedingungen. Zusätzlich wurden ferrocenhaltige Polymere mit einem aliphatischen Rückgrat durch Polymerisation mit und ohne Lösemittel hergestellt und ihr elektrochemisches Verhalten untersucht. Das Hauptaugenmerk dieser Arbeit liegt in der Optimierung der elektrochemischen Eigenschaften der ferrocenbasierten Materialien (Oligomere oder Polymere) durch Variation des Polymerrückgrats, welche zahlreiche funktionelle Gruppen für die vernetzte Polymerisation und die Co-Polymerisation liefert. Durch diesen Prozess wird das molekulare Gewicht erhöht. Zusätzlich wird die Verwendung als elektroaktive Materialien insbesondere für die Energiespeichertechnik diskutiert. Durch lösungsmittelfreie Reaktionsbedingungen wurden ein hoher Monomerumsatz, relativ hohe molare Massen und zugleich längere Polymerketten erzielt. Elektrochemische Messungen (CV) zeigten, dass Ferrocenmoleküle mit mehr als zwei Formylgruppen die Elektronendichte an der Ferrocenyleinheit verringern und bei Oxidation leicht zersetzt werden. Erniedrigung der Messtemperatur und die Verwendung des nur schwach koordinierenden Leitsalzes [NnBu4][B(C6F5)4] führten zu aussagekräftigen Ergebnissen. Weiterhin konnte ein linearer Zusammenhang zwischen dem Redoxpotential und der Anzahl der Formyleinheiten aufgezeigt werden. Mutlizyklische Messungen bestätigten, dass das Ferrocen / Ferrocenium-Redoxpaar mindestens 100 Zyklen stabil ist. Abstract:

Am Übergang von Brückenbauwerken zu den angrenzenden Hinterfüllungen treten teilweise größere Unebenheiten der Fahrbahnoberfläche im Längsprofil auf. Eine Ursache dafür können Setzungen innerhalb der Hinterfüllung sein. Um diesen Anteil unter realen Bedingungen zu untersuchen, wurden an zwei Autobahnbrücken acht unterschiedlichen Hinterfüllungen ausgeführt und die Verformungen unter Verkehrsbelastung mit einem aufwändigen Messprogramm über einen Beobachtungszeitraum von bis zu vier Jahren erfasst. Im Ergebnis konnte für diese beiden Brücken gezeigt werden, dass die Setzungen unter Verkehrsbelastung nur wenige Millimeter betrugen und deutlich kleiner waren als die Höhenungenauigkeiten beim Einbau der Asphaltdeckschicht. Die Fahrbahnebenheit im Längsprofil wurde allein durch den Zustand vor Verkehrsfreigabe geprägt. Einfache Sofortmaßnahmen zur Erhöhung der Einbaugenauigkeit werden in der Arbeit vorgeschlagen. In einem weiteren Teil werden Erddruck- und Verformungsmessungen an zwei Hinterfüllungen einer integralen Rahmenbrücke vorgestellt.

Abstract:

Les partenariats entre ONG du Nord et du Sud sont souvent considérés comme étant des relationsasymétriques entre deux types d'organisations aux caractéristiques fortement contrastées. Pour réelleque soit la nature de ces rapports, le recours à l'histoire des relations entre pays développés et sousdéveloppéset, dans certains cas, entre ex-colonisateurs et colonisés comme seule grille de lecture favorise une interprétation en termes de domination. Ainsi, des décisions provenant des ONG du Nord seraient imposées aux organisations du Sud qui, pour continuer à bénéficier des financements nécessaires pour leurs actions, se verraient contraintes de s'y conformer. Il semblerait, cependant, que cette façon de lire les relations interorganisationnelles Nord-Sud, dans le champ de la solidarité internationale, soit plutôt limitative et ne rende que très partiellement compte de la réalité de ces rapports. En effet, en adoptant une posture théorique comme celle proposée par l'approche stratégique des acteurs où le pouvoir est considéré comme une relation négociée au regard des objectifs et contraintes des différentes parties, les comportements des ONGimpliquées dans les partenariats devraient pouvoir être lus comme relevant d'un ensemble de " jeux " visant l'acquisition ou le renforcement d'une certaine légitimité qui leur garantit l'accès aux ressources. Dans cette logique, le modèle basé sur le recrutement de cabinets de consultants comme tierce partie dans les relations, souvent dyadiques, entre ONG du Nord et du Sud, devra être interprété au-delà de la simple manifestation de la domination des premières sur les secondes. En s'appuyant sur le cas des partenariats de Brücke*Le pont (Suisse), EED et Pain pour le Monde (Allemagne) au Togo, cette thèse met l'accent sur les besoins pratiques auxquels répond ce modèle et montre l'écart entre les comportements prescrits et ceux réellement adoptés par les acteurs, reflet des stratégies des uns et des autres en fonction de leurs enjeux

In this article, Immanuel Wallerstein tries to anticipate the evolution of world conflicts and structures over the next decades. In his analysis, he identifies three main cleavages which structure future global conflicts: the triadic cleavage between the United States, Europe and Japan, who compete economically; the North-South cleavage between core zones and the periphery of the world economy; and, finally, the cleavage between what he calls the "Spirit of Davos" and the "Spirit of Porto Alegre" as a conflict between alternative images of the future world order. The structure and the dynamics of each cleavage are analysed and their evolution over the next decades is anticipated.
