Abstract:
A simple, selective, accurate, and precise High-Performance Thin-Layer chromatographic (HPTLC) method has been developed and validated for analysis of the Buclizine Hydrochloride (BUC) in bulk drug and pharmaceutical formulations. HPTLC was performed on aluminium sheets precoated with silica gel G 60F254 as a stationary phase. The mobile phase chosen for development consists of chloroform: ethyl acetate in the ratio of 8:2 (v/v). Buclizine Hydrochloride (BUC) showed good linear regression analysis over the concentration ranges 100-600 ng per spot with correlation coefficients (R2 ) = 0.999. Th

Abstract:
Abstract An HPLC method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of buclizine, tryptophan, pyridoxine, and cyanocobalamin in pharmaceutical formulations. The chromatographic separation was carried out on an RP-C18 column using a mobile phase gradient of methanol, 0.015 M phosphate buffer (pH 3.0), and 0.03 M phosphoric acid at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and UV detection at 230, 280, and 360 nm, respectively, for buclizine, tryptophan, pyridoxine, and cyanocobalamin. The method validation yielded good results with respect to linearity (r > 0.999), specificity, precis

Simple, accurate and reproducible UV spectrophotometric methods were established for the assay ofbuclizine(BUCZ) based on the formation of precipitation, charge transfer complex and inner complex formation. Method A involves the precipitation, charge transfer complex formation of BUCZ with tannic acid/p-N-methyl aminophenol sulphate (PMAP)-Cr(VI), the complex formation with cobalt thiocyanate (CTC) in method B and inner complex formation of BUCZ with sodium nitroprusside hydroxylamine hydrochloride and sodium carbonate in method C were proposed.
