Doping practices in sports by unscrupulous athletes have been an important societal issue for several decades. Recently, sample swapping has been raised as a potential practice performed by athletes to swap their doped samples with clean samples to evade the positive doping test. So far, the only proven method to detect such cases is by performing DNA analysis on samples. However, it is expensive and time-consuming, which goes beyond the budgetary limits of anti-doping organisations when implementing to all the samples collected during sports events. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a self

More frequent and severe weather events are projected with climate change. The U.S. Federal Government offers programs to help producers mitigate the financial impacts of these adverse events, the largest of which is the USDA, Federal Crop Insurance Program (FCIP). The potential impacts on FCIP outlays under future climate scenarios have been explored but most analyses have focused on impacts on field crops. A changing climate could also affect forage commodities and livestock producers. The Pasture, Rangeland, and Forage (PRF) insurance plan was designed to help producers mitigate financial l

Despite many natural attractions, Guyana is still at a nascent stage of nature-based development relying on primary factors for tourism development as opposed to thorough planning, focused investments, and aggressive marketing efforts. Other segments of traditional tourism development such as business and leisure also are undeveloped and little studied. The tourism sector in general faces many constraints, such as high air travel

This study provides an updated analysis of agricultural policies in Belize, utilizing the OECD's Producer Support Estimate (PSE) methodology for the period 2015-2022. During this time, the agricultural sector contributed an average of 8.4% to Belize's GDP, growing by 25%, largely driven by animal production. The Total Support Estimate (TSE) increased from BZ$90.5 million in 2015 to BZ$97.5 million in 2022, primarily due to a rise in transfers to individual producers (PSE). However, the percentage TSE decreased from 2.1% to 1.7% as GDP growth outpaced TSE growth. Despite this, Belize's agricult
