Nitrogen-doped carbons (NCs) as supports for metal catalysts used in heterogeneous reactions are increasingly being investigated. In this work, NCs were prepared from monosodium glutamate (MSG) by direct carbonization, which were used as supporters to prepare Bi/NC catalysts.
