A new genus of Tanaidacea – <i>Bunburia</i>,<i> </i>collected from the region of Ningaloo in the vicinity of Bunbury (Western Australia), is erected to accommodate the new species – <i>B. prima</i> sp. n. This genus is classified in the family Agathotanaidae and it can be distinguished from the other members of the family bya combination of antennulae covered with minute setae, reduced uropods and unusual setation of the propodus of pereopods 4 to 6. <i>B. prima</i> is the second species of Agathotanaidae known so far from Australia.

The gummy shark (Mustelus antarcticus) is the main target of southern Australian shark fisheries. Its stock structure was investigated through allozymes (up to 28 loci), mitochondrial DNA (up to 10 restriction enzymes) and vertebrae counts. The average heterozygosity per allozyme locus (0.099) and degree of polymorphism (0.255) was high for sharks. The paper analyzes total labor input, arable land area and the value of fixed assets on farms specializing in dairy cattle farming and conducting agricultural accounting by FADN.
