Abstract:
The majority of libraries founded in pre-modern Japan can be said to be ‘private’ in origin. They are generally referred to as bunko (literally ‘storehouses of books’) as opposed to toshokan, a post-1870 term for ‘library’. The 14 bunko selected for consideration in this paper hold between them the largest number of rare items extant in Japan today; their varied contents are distinguished not only in terms of early date, beauty and academic value, but also by their excellent state of preservation. They can be grouped, according to the status of their founders within the epoch in which they thrived, as those of medieval clan warriors; shogunal and daimyo libraries of the Edo period; traditional kuge (noble family) libraries; and post-1869 libraries ( zaibatsu collections, libraries formed by intellectuals and wealthy merchants, and Tenri Central Library). The earliest private library in Japan, which can still be seen as reconstructed in the 8th century, is said to have been built by Prince Shotoku (574–622). Japan has a considerable number of literary (as opposed to religious) manuscripts, written soon after the completion of the original texts. It also possesses the world's earliest dated specimen of printed text (764–770). Very large numbers of early books, mss. and archival documents in the bunko have been preserved in excellent condition. Some of the bunko have remained independently private, while others are now managed by trustees or large foundations. However, most now form part of the bigger toshokan belonging to national, prefectural, university or research library institutions. The National Diet Library's directory lists over 2,300 bunko and some 700 toshokan.

Abstract:
Understanding and working with Microsoft Windows registry is an important ability from the perspective of security. This ability is used by malicious software as well as by software, which repaires the damage caused by activity of malicious software. However, applications accessing and working with the registry are platform dependent, which may not always be convenient and it can lead to other problems if the platform is not secure. Therefore, the aim of this work is to create a platform independent application for accessing and working with registry, which makes possible to analyse the effect of malware on registry.

Isaksson, Tonie. "DEVELOPMENT OF FATIGUE TESTING METHOD OF FORWARDER BUNK." Thesis, Umeå universitet, Institutionen för fysik, 2019. http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:umu:diva-156793.

Full text
Abstract:
The fatigue phenomena is one of the most common causes of failures in structural mechanics and is due to repeatedly applied loads. Komatsu Forest AB, one of the largest manufacturers of forest machines on planet Earth was in need of a fatigue life test of a forwarder bunk which exposes the bunk in a realistic way. Such a test extends the knowledge of the strength, but also, makes it easier to improve the evolution of the design. To develop this, knowledge about the movements, i.e. the accelerations of the forwarder and its load out in the field were of greatest importance. Therefore, measurements of angles, accelerations and strains were carried out, followed by analysis of correlations in order to know the cause of fatigue. The results showed that lateral acceleration as well as the tilting of the forwarder are responsible of the repetitive strains occurred during runtime. To simulate this in a test, a method which uses two actuators to apply forces supposed to lead to comparable strains of the bunk is developed. The method of equivalent fatigue load is used in order to simplify the more complex real life situation. Despite the complicated movement and forces on the bunks in the field, it seems possible to get an accurate fatigue test with only two actuators. The fatigue testing method showed both good and bad results of the strains at different positions. Some more refinements of the applied force components as well as the positions might be needed before such a test is executed.

Abstract:
This monograph explores a category of public facility in Japan, the 'culture hall' [bunka kaikan). It is based on ethnographic fieldwork at a culture hall in Niigata named 'Niigata Residents' Performing Arts and Culture Hall "Ryutopia"'. In this thesis bunka ('culture') is discussed as a multi-vocal symbol. The understandings of ''bunka" held and represented symbolically by Ryutopia's staff are outlined.

Abstract:
Yuri manga are focused on the representation of sentimental relations between girls. Despite still being a niche within the manga landscape, the popularity of this genre in terms of number of productions and fans is increasing, and in the last few years its fame has been expanding outside Japan as well. As a manga genre, yuri developed since the mid-2000s. Notwithstanding being a novel genre, yuri narratives are deeply embedded into the heritage of the late Meiji-early Shōwa shōjo bunka (girls’ culture), and especially into the so-called “esu kankei” relationships, girl/girl bonds developing in girls’ schools at the time. The aim of this article is double-folded: from one hand, I will highlight and discuss the birth of yuri manga, analysing the re-elaboration of the heritage of shōjo bunka and its cultural productions - such as Yoshiya Nobuko’s Hana Monogatari - into the first examples of yuri manga, to demonstrate the intermediality and intertextuality of these media. On the other hand, I will map the development of yuri manga through the 2000s, stressing onto the increasing relevance given by these narratives to LGBTQ+ related themes, along with the detachment from the influence of shōjo bunka.

Abstract:
Japan has preserved many editions of Bai’s Corpus printed by Nawa Douen, which were proofread by ancient manuscripts in the early days of Edo, ncluding the proofread editions by Hayasi Razan in the Tokyo National Museum, by Tenkai in the Sonkeikaku bunko, by Housa bunko, and the editions of Waseda University, of Imperial Palace, and of Daito Bunka University. The proofreading of these ancient manuscripts can supplement and correct the friendship relationship between Bai Juyi and Han Yu, Yuan Zhen, Liu Sheng and Li Weijian. It can reproduce the original connotation of Bai Juyi’s poetry and prose, which has important reference value for the study of the stylistic evolution of the Tang Dynasty. It can also confirm the conjectures of later revisers, by way of correcting the wrong articles in Bai Juyi’s works, and help to understand some self-annotations that were not passed down from the past.

Abstract:
Abstract An autonomous active noise control system has been developed to reduce low frequency noise in the aft berthing space of a high speed patrol craft. The system controls both high amplitude propeller blade-rate harmonic noise, as well as broadband noise caused by propeller cavitation and machinery. A local control strategy using an adaptive feedback algorithm provides a quiet zone at the head of each bunk. One system, containing a loudspeaker, microphones, and control electronics, is mounted at the head end of each bunk. The only external connection to the system is a power cable. Noise reductions of up to 20 dB at tones and 8, 15, and 5 dB in the 31, 63, and 125 Hz octave bands respectively have been measured at the head position of the bunks. Overall A-weighted level reductions of up to 6 dB have also been measured.

Putri, D. ,. A. ,. L. ,. A. "Morphotectonic Analysis of Tanjung Bungo Area Based on Geological Structure Control, Central Sumatera Basin." In Digital Technical Conference. Indonesian Petroleum Association, 2020. http://dx.doi.org/10.29118/ipa20-sg-254.

Full text
Abstract:
Tectonic activity in an area could result in various impacts such as changes in elevation, level of slope percentages, river flow patterns and systems, and the formation of geological structures both locally and regionally, which will form a new landscape. The tectonic activity also affects the stratigraphic sequences of the area. Therefore, it is necessary to study morphotectonic or landscape forms that are influenced by active tectonic activities, both those occur recently and in the past. These geological results help provide information of the potential of natural resources in and around Tanjung Bungo area. Morphological data are based on three main aspects including morphogenesis, morphometry, and morphography. The data are collected in two ways, the first is field survey by directly observing and taking field data such as measuring geological structures, rock positions, and outcrop profiles. The second way is to interpret them through Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and aerial photographs by analyzing river flow patterns and lineament analysis. The field measurement data are processed using WinTensor, Dips, and SedLog Software. The supporting data such as Topographic Maps, Morphological Elevation Maps, Slope Maps, Flow Pattern Maps, and Lineament Maps are based on DEM data and are processed using ArcGis Software 10.6.1 and PCI Geomatica. Morphotectonically, the Tanjung Bungo area is at a moderate to high-class level of tectonic activity taken place actively resulted in several joints, faults, and folds. The formation of geological structures has affected the morphological conditions of the area as seen from the development of steep slopes, structural flow patterns such as radial, rectangular, and dendritic, as well as illustrated by rough surface relief in Tanjung Bungo area. This area has the potential for oil and gas resources as indicated by the Telisa Formation, consisting of calcareous silts rich in planktonic and benthonic fossils, which may be source rocks and its contact with the Menggala Formation which is braided river system deposits that could be good reservoirs. Further research needs to be done since current research is only an interpretation of surface data. Current natural resources being exploited in Tanjung Bungo region are coals. The coals have thicknesses of 5-7 cm and are classified as bituminous coals.
