Abstract This study examines the application of three different variations of linear-regression corrections to the surface marine winds from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology’s recently implemented operational atmospheric model. A simple correction over the entire domain is found to inadequately account for geographical variation in the wind bias. This is addressed by considering corrections that vary in space. Further, these spatially varying corrections are extended to vary in time. In an operational environment, the error characteristics of the wind forcing can be expected to change over

Drawing upon data from Indonesia's Central Bureau of Statistics, it reveals that rice prices exert significant positive short-run effects and no significant long-run influence on farmers' welfare. These findings extend or refine results from earlier studies that lack the time series perspective of our research. They also support policy intervention by the Indonesian government to increase farmers' welfare and assure food supply.

Cassava is an important food crop in Nigeria providing households food security and income. Cassava production has received government and stakeholders’ intervention dating back to the 1970s. Nevertheless, increased and sustainable production of the crop is under threat by exogenous factors of climate change and variability. This study investigates this concern by assessing the effects of climate change on cassava output in Ondo state, Nigerian using Co-integration and Error-Correction Modelling (ECM). Introduction. Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable plasma cell malignancy with a growing list of anti-MM therapeutics. However, the development of predictive biomarkers has yet to be achieved for nearly all MM therapeutics. Selinexor (SELI), a nuclear export inhibitor targeting exportin 1 (XPO1), has been approved with dexamethasone (DEX) in penta-refractory MM. Clinical studies investigating promising SELI- 3 drug combinations are ongoing. Here, we have investigated potential synergistic combinations of SELI and anti-MM agents in terms of ex vivo sensitivity, as well as paired RNAseq and WES

Older prisoners now represent 10% of the U.S. prison population and 18% of Illinois’ prison population. Aging inmates cost more to incarcerate due to their medical needs. Bureau of Prisons data estimate $881 million (19%) of its budget was spent to incarcerate aging inmates. Prisons are seeking solutions to address the unmet needs of older inmates, especially those with dementia. These older inmates with dementia face discrimination and exploitation
